After updating to 10.6.8 Iphoto no longer recognizes my Kodak z740 pictures when I try to load them to Iphoto
I get a message that Iphoto does not recognize the photos
There is a longstanding issue with Kodaks and 10.6.8. Workaround: use a USB Card Reader.

Assuming these are Black and white, iPhoto still needs an RGB colorspace assigned, it can't work with images that are in B&W colorspace.
Scan in color and de-saturate in iPhoto, if required. -
Since I "upgraded" to FF 4, I have constant crashes (I tried updating my graphics drivers--it did not help) and now all of my bookmarks have disappeared. When I try to restore them, I get this error message "Unable to process the backup file". I have lost years of bookmarks...please help.
I am using Windows XP, SP 3 if that matters.I am also unable to restore any of the backups of the bookmarks, both automatic backups and two backups that I created manually. Since I was able to restore backups before, and since no changes have occurred to these backup files, the problem must be with Firefox.
Right before my bookmarks disappeared, FF crashed and I accidentally started FF 3.5. When I saw what I did, I ended the Firefox process and started FF 4. That's when all my bookmarks were gone and I discovered I couldn't retrieve any backups. I did note that an add-on was updated when I restarted FF. Maybe that's the problem. Does FF have a Safe mode? -
I have lost my itunes library after updating it. Have tried uninstalling/reinstalling it and it gets so far then tells me that it cannot be installed because MSVCR80.dll is not installed on my pc. I have no idea what this is and have googled it, followed links to sites that say they can fix it, only for them to scan, tell me I have 3 thousand issues and then want me to pay $30 dollars to fix it for me. This message also appears on firing up my pc too.
Can anyone help please?I've been through the exact same thing and cannot seem to get an answer here. When you go to Manage Storage, does it have something at the top like "19.1 GB of 25 GB available"? I only have a Mail account with 5.3 GB in it and a Backups account with 553 MB in it. Obviously, these don't add up to 19.1 GB. There was no change in any of these numbers when I deleted all the same files you mention. With the free Mobile Me storage expiring next month, this is something I'm pretty concerned about.

IPhoto no longer recognizes my Kodak DC4800
About 3 months ago, I connected my DC4800, as usual, and iPhoto 5.0.4 launches normally, but no recognition of the camera; the upload window never opens. The Kodak likewise does not work on my buddy's brand new (leftover) iBook. The Kodak works on an older iMac G3 with (I'm sure) an older version of iPhoto. Other cameras work normally on my iBook. I've also tried other USB cables and repaired permissions. When I open Image Capture with Kodak connected, it says "no image device connected" or something similar. I suspect a newer version of iPhoto has caused my camera to be "de-recognized". I see that my latest version of iPhoto was last modified 10/17/06, about the time this started happening. The Apple site lists the Kodak DC4800 as a compatible camera. I would download an earlier version of iPhoto if I could find one. I don't want to have to buy a new camera just to use iPhoto....any ideas?
iBook G4 Mac OS X (10.4.8)Much less expensive than a new camera - for about $20 you can buy a card reader and bypass the need for your Mac to see the camera. It has other advantages, as well, like giving you the ability to preview and select images before you Import into iPhoto. I prefer this method.
Does System Profiler recognize your Kodak and the USB where you are connecting it?
It seems strange to me that your iPhoto was modified around the same time that the most recent update for iPhoto 6 (v 6.0.5) was released. I didn't think it would affect iPhoto 5 users at all. Did Apple release a v5 update at the same time? -
IPhoto loses pictures when I try to rearrange them for an email
When I try to send an email in iPhoto 11, if I try to rearrange those pictures, it loses them in the email. It's very frustrating.
For example, I'll start with this:
Then when for instance I try to drag the bottom picture to the upper left picture to swap them out, this is what I'm left with:
It's super frustrating. I tried re-installing iPhoto but that didn't help.

my computer has some serious problems, my iphoto only shows only shows thumb size pics when I try to open them, i tried to rebuild my files from folders that had the pics in them. originally all the photos had a large delta with a question mark. also I can't back up the library file because its not there. I went to time machune and tried to find the file but I can't find it or I am looking in the wrong place. I also lost my Idvd file, only have broken chain showing.

This makes no sense at all - all of your previous statements indicate that you do have an iPhoto library but have some problems with it
By default your iPHoto library is located in your Pictures folder and is named iPhtoo library - if tha tis not the case the you have moved or renamed it and only you know what you did until you tell us the details

I updated the latest version of iOS software on my Macbook Pro and now when I try to open up iPhoto it says that I need to update the latest version. But when I go to update on iTunes, it says the latest version is unavailable to the U.S. I wouldn't mind leaving it be but I can't access any of my photos. What do I do?

After updating my iPad recently, I can no longer use it to present PPTs using a TV monitor that always previously worked. The display mentions something about using AirPlay which I am not using or trying to. Suggestions please? I purchased three autobooks from itunes last weekend and after updating my ios to 7 they no longer appear. I looked at my purchse history and they are not showing in my purchase history. I do have the receipts for the charge. How do I restore these?

Itunes content is not incliuded in the backup that itunes performs.
Audiobooks are not part of icloud and cannot be redownloaded.
You can try contacting itunes support and asking for an exception. -

Same problem here on four devices, two of which aren't even running iOS 7. App updates just disappear from the app store app and the app tells me all my apps are up to date when they aren't.
This problem fixed itself on the iPhone 4 this morning after I synced it with iTunes last night. My iPad 3 is now listing app updates, but it stalls when I try to download them, so I'm updating via iTunes now.
I suspect this is a server problem on Apple's end (I noticed iTunes match isn't working this morning either....). Try syncing your phone with iTunes in the meantime or updating each app individually through the purchased app list (just click on it and you can update on a per app basis). -
After updating to ios 7, I am now asked to enter my password continuously when accessing my emails on outlook web access. Before I just had to log in and I was able to reply, save emails, etc without re entering my password. How do I fix this?
Similar thing is happening to a relative.
He upgraded his iPhone 5 and lost his iCloud account and all his email accounts. Major pain in the neck for a senior. And it was not a user error...unless you count the fact that he hit the upgrade button. -
After updating numbers and pages I can no longer copy multiple cells from numbers and paste and match style to pages. I used to be able to select multipule cells in a row (such as company name, address, etc.) then paste and match style on to a pages letter. I found the paste and match style option in the edit menu, however it will only work one cell at a time. Before the update is was working great.
For diagnosing purpose thy the procedure in a new user account and see if it works there. You create a new user account in the System Preferences > Accounts. If it works in the new account it is probably a corrupt plist file that needs to be deleted.

I am using EIO nodes to read the 4 AI channels on the LM3S8962. The ADC on the chip is 10-bit converter, correct? The outputs are U32s. Are these numbers the actual voltage values on the AI pins, or do these need to be scaled?
