After updating to ios 8.2 i cant even used my phone at all it keeps saying connect to itunes and now its saying restoring its been over 2 hrs
Attempted to download new ios 8.2 software, I can't use my phone now as it is saying connect to iTunes?! So I connected to iTunes and it isn't doing ANYTHING.
THIS IS CRAZY!!! Apple - GET YOUR CRAP TOGETHER!! Don't release an update if it isn't ready!!!!
I just had my phone 5c screen replaced and it was working fine until I tried updating it 30 mins later, I was getting error messages and couldn't move past the Apple logo. so when I tried a factory restore I get a message saying It cannot restore or update my phone. Now my phone is stuck on restore mode screen and cannot load anything. I've tried restore on multiple computers and updating to latest itunes versions. Anyone know whats going on?

Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.

Why did I update my ios 6 through wifi only for it to ask me to connect to itunes and now its making me restore it? Will I lose everything?
It's in recovery mode. You don't have a choice. Anything that was on the phone is already gone. If you didn't back it up, there is no way to recover it.

after an update my iPhone 4 has frozen with just the apple screen visible. I have tried connecting to iTunes but now iTunes isn't locating my iPhone. I have tried reseting the phone several times and that isn't working. Any ideas?
Try DFU Mode Restore. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power button, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time. If the iPhone screen is black, blank this is DFU Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes.

Thanks for the question. I understand that your iPhone is in recovery mode. To exit recovery mode, try restarting the device. If the issue persists, try restoring with iTunes:

My iPad mini says to connect to iTunes, and I try to restore it, but after its done extracting a message comes up saying that device is not found, is there anyway i can fix this? I don't care if i don't get my stuff back, i just want my iPad restored to its starting settings.
If everything else that you try fails, I would try using another computer. Since you don't care about saving any data, any computer that is running the latest version of iTunes might be able to restore the iPad. You could make an appointment at an Apple Store Genius Bar and they can do it for you.
If that isn't feasible for you, try using a different cable, a different USB port. reboot the computer, and reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Then try again. -

You are in recovery mode. Restore it through iTunes on your computer.

my iphone 6 plus after updating to IOS 8.2 seems to have a problem with the touch id witch doesn't work neither in home unlock nor in app store and when i'm trying to add a new fingerprint it says ''failed unable to complete touch id setup.Please go back and try again'' . I was in school earlier today and noticed that my iphone 4 needed an update, so started the update then after like 2 mintues my phone turns off and when i tried to turn it back on it told me to connect to itunes. Now im connected and it tells me i must restore my phone...And i really dont want to lose my pictures and stuff like that so someone please tell me what i can do...
Sorry, you have no choice but to restore your phone now. If your data was not backed up before you attempted to update, it is gone.

my ipod touch 4g says ipod is disabled connect to itunes and when i do it says i have to put in my password but i cant because it is disabled
To bypass the passcode you need to place the iPod in recovery mode. See:

When requested I tried to down load the latest update for itunes and now I cant open itunes as it says Ive lost the MSVCR80.dll file and I don't know how to repair it.
