After updating to ITunes 11.1.4 ITunes can see but not recognize my IPod and all my music was deleted from my IPod

I have not had any issues until I updated to the latest version. I have tried all the suggestions on the support web page and nothing has worked. I am hoping that this version of ITunes is the issue and that Apple will release a fixed version, Any suggestions?

Ok, here is the fix per Chad at Apple. Just did it and it worked.
Open the Control Panel
Uninstall *in this order*:
1. iTunes
2. Apple Mobile Device Driver
3. Apple App Updater
4. Bonjour
You may need to reboot after uninstalling Apple Mobile Device Driver, and ok if it still shows in the Control Panel.
Next, go to Apple.com, then download and install the most recent version of iTunes.

You'll need to switch off iTunes Match on the device & sync the iPod with iTunes as hopefully you've kept all your music on your PC.

I had the same problem, cloud purchased music was gone from my computer after upgrading. But I read some more support stuff and they suggested removing the songs from your computer but don't delete the file and then you can download again from the cloud. Otherwise I wasn't getting the option to download - no need to rebuy music. Apple needs to know this was a problem though! Hope this is helpful to you. It is a pain but saving alot of frustration as to how to get it back. Good luck.

There is one way, however I strongly recommend you back up your music since while this process has a very high success rate, very rarely it messes up with your iTunes, so better safe than worry, yes?
Please read first through all the instructions and make sure you understand them before doing anything
Once you have backed up:
1. Quit iTunes
2. Open the iTunes Music folder, on a Mac this is in ~/Music/ and in Windows it’s in Username\My Music\
3. Drag the file labeled “iTunes Music Library.xml” to your desktop
4. Drag the “iTunes Library” file to the desktop as well (make sure this is no longer in your iTunes folder at all)
5. Relaunch iTunes
6. Before doing anything else, go to File -> Library -> Import Playlist
7. Now navigate to your desktop to the “iTunes Music Library.xml” file that you placed there earlier and select it
8. iTunes will recreate your playlists

I have not had a computer for several years and I just got a new one. My old computer got a virus and when that happened all my music was lost. Thank goodness I had it all on my Ipod Nano 2nd GEN. Now my problem is that I don't know how to get the music off my Ipod Nano onto my new computer!!! I was able to get the songs that I purchased thru ITunes by just authorizing my new computer. But I have alot more music that is on my Ipod nano that I can't put into my ITunes library. In fact, I can't even get my music into a file folder on my computer!! I really need help. They don't have the music on their computer so they cannot transfer the iTunes folder, from the computer to their iPod and then to the new computer. And if they try to enable disk use on the iPod it will erase all the music that is on it. The method you cited is moving the files in a data format using the iPod as a flash drive. It doesn't work if they are in music format. That is why I suggested Yamipod.

I have a new MacBookAir with iTunes 11.3. All my music was transferred from my old MacBookPro; but, only purchased music from Apple shows up in albums, and songs. None of my other music appears, and no playlists have been displayed.

Nothing new; same thing i have been posting for years. Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) so you get a prompt to select a library, then guide it to the 'iTunes Library.itl' file in the moved iTunes folder. Without exact details I can't tell what you did wrong but you probably didn't move the right files to the right place. Unfortunately youd id not want to delete the .itl file. The .xml has much of the same but your ratings, date added and playcounts are now gone.

See Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash or simply import the media folder back into the library. Restoring a recent backup of the .itl database will restore the original date added values, ratings, play counts, playlist membership, etc. that would otherwise be missing from the reimported media.

After updating to CP 8.0.1 content play locally, but not on the web

After updating to CP 8.0.1 I have the problem - published HTML 5 content work locally on comupter ok, but when is uploaded to web (at the same place as older version of the same content), it plays preloader only - forever.... Hundred times I check when links are correct, remove and upload content, remove and create new folder, republish and again upload and nothing happens...
Win 7 Pro, CP 8.0.1, Google Chrome v.37.0.2062.124 m and also tried v.38.0.2125.104 m
IE also not play this content.

After updating to Maverick some emails arrive with contents that do not belong to Sender and title.

Updated my iPod and all the music that was on it got deleted.

I plugged my iPod in to update it as usual, but when it said it was complete and I unplugged it.. I realized all the music on my iPod is GONE. Nothing is left on it at all.
My music and videos are still on iTunes, but I dont understand what happened to the music on my ipod.

If your iPod still has the files on it, but it's not showing them under songs, I think you can do this;
First, Set it to Disk Mode by;
Hold, then un-Hold (the switch at the top). Now hold down the Menu and Select buttons at once. iPod should turn off. When it's turning back on (it does this automatically), hold down Select and Play/Pause. This enters Disk Mode.
Now, Plug In and Delete;
Access the iPod as a hard drive and delete everything there. Make sure you can see the iPod_Control folder - delete that as well.
Finally;
Eject the iPod Drive, and hold down Menu and Select to exit disk mode. Let it reboot, connect to your computer, use iTunes to restore. Then, reload your music onto your iPod using your iTunes library.

- Yes if it is not included in your iTunes library. So will the apps. The backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps and music.
- You say you have iOS 3.1.3. The likely indicates that you have a 1g iPod. those can only go to iOS 3.1.3.
- Since you have an older iPod, many developer's have updated their apps and in the process dropped compatibility for earlier iOSs. I suggest that you delete the apps from your iTunes library and then transfer/copy the apps to the iTunes library from the iPod.
