also in your system details it seems you have to 2 Adobe PDF Plug-In install(Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 10.1.6 and Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape "9.5.3") , deactivate the older one.

When I click a link to a new page sometimes it opens an unrelated add page.

just after we updated to Firefox4 it seems we picked up the "xp antivirus 2011" malware which seems resolved now however, about 30% of the time when clicking a link to a new page from either an current page or a search results page, what opens is an add site not the link page. It seems random and benign so far but really makes me nervous.

I suspect you may have a corrupt photo or image that is causing the sync to fail or quit. You might want to try removing all of your photos by deselecting them in iTunes then sync - and try adding them by each sub-folders until you are able to nail down which sub-folder of photos, that causes the sync to stop or gives you errors.

After upgrading iphone 5 to iOS 7, I cannot install new apps. I get the message that I must first read and agree to iTunes terms and conditions. I read the terms and conditions online, but I don't see a way to agree when I install or re-install iTunes 11.1. I can update existing apps ok, though.
Anyone have this problem and find solution?

Firefox froze up. So I removed from computer and reloaded. If I close Firefox, can't restart by clicking on the icon. Have to end process in Task Manager. It then starts. Some links on some web pages won't work.

As I say in the question I don't know what happened but Firefox just stopped operating and then became erratic. So I removed the firefox programme from my computer and reloaded Firefox.
It now runs normally but I can't run Firefox on two tabs, only one, and if I close it down during a session I can't reopen it using the desk top icon. I go to task manager, processes, and end process for Firefox - then I can start it using the icon on the desktop.
I have also noticed that some links on a web page won't work - javascript is involved.

It sounds like you are getting in a hurry.
If you force Firefox to close in a hurry, then it won't normally start until you re-start the computer. There are ways around this, but I'm not going to go into them right now.
None-force way to close Firefox down: Close the program and wait. Do something else. Firefox appears as if it is closed, but it's not. Firefox cleans out cookies and it's cache after you close it. That takes a few minutes. You can't restart it while it's doing house cleaning.
After it is done, then you can restart Firefox normally. You can watch it in the Task Manager.
The same applies if you are installing javascript. You have to wait a few minutes.
As for running it with multiple tabs, I usually have 5 or 6, or more, tabs open at a time. Have no idea what the problem is there. Firefox needs special permission by use of a pop-up option to close with multiple tabs open.

Upgraded Mac OS to 10.5.8, now Photoshop 7.0 won't open

I reinstalled the program, and still it gives me the message "An unexpectd and unrrecoverable error has occurred because of a program error. Photoshop will now exit" when I try to launch it. Any ideas abou t what the problem is and how I can fix it?

Hi Thanks I will try it, I havent reloaded elements yet, I really need photoshop as I am a designer and use it alot for photos & need it right now, I have the CS5 Suite but it will not let me run it on this mac, it ask for intel processor and I have been unemployed for over 2years and cant affiord a new MAc right now , that is why I am so frustarated with the whole issue, it all started when I went to up grade to 10.5.8.

The best I can offer would be for you to try the steps listed in Troubleshoot system errors, freezes | Mac OS 10.x | Adobe software - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-system-errors-f reezes-mac.html. These are generic troubleshooting steps and are great when the exact cause of the problem is unknown. I am not sure if the time and effort of going through the steps will be useful though as you may still run into difficulties. I might also suggest trying Photoshop Elements 10 - http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements.html or Photoshop CS5 - http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop.html and seeing if either one of those fit your needs. Depending on what you use Photoshop 7 for you may find that Photoshop Elements can do the job plus have additional capabilities not even thought of during the time of Photoshop 7's development. Both Photoshop Elements 10 and Photoshop CS5 have a minimum system requirement of 10.5.8 so as long as your system meets the remaining requirements then they should work fine on your computer.

After the 6.1 update on iphone 5 the camera virtual shutter won't open so I cannot use the camera at all.
I have tried most things suggested in the web like hard/soft shut down, reopen app, restore from backup. Any other suggestions? It should be a software problem right?

The problem is more than likely being cause by corruption that occured during the iOS install or in the backup that was used to restore the phone after the update.
Standard troubleshooting is:
Re-boot the phone
Restore the phone from your backup
Restore the phone as a new device.
One of the 3 should fix the problem.

First, we are all just users like yourself so it's not "your" updates. Which updates have you applied & in what order?
Quite a few users have had problems. From what I've read of those who have had success, this is what I suggest. It all depends on how you obtained Pages in the first place.
If you bought Pages from the Mac App Store:
Delete the Pages.app from your Applications folder. You will need to enter your password to do so.
Launch Mac App Store & click on Purchases. You should now see an INSTALL button. Click that, enter your password, if necessary, & you should now have the latest version.
If you installed Pages from a retail box or purchased a license from the downloaded trial:
First, you must make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. All three applications must be in the iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.
Now, choose Software Update from the Apple menu, from System Preferences or launch the Mac App Store & click Updates. You should get a window similar to this screenshot. Now click the Update button next to iWork 9.2.

Is it possible to open a link in a new Safari page? (The equivalent to right-clicking on your desktop and selecting "open link in new page")

No, there is not a way to open a link in a new page.
You would need to open a new page, then type in the address.
However, if you have an icon on your home screen for a particular website, it will open a new page when tapped on.

I can link from the New Page back to Home. Or from Home to any other page and back again.
But when I click on the New Page nothing happens. Except a Yahoo tab opens every time I try it. What's the problem? I created the New Page with the same methodology as all the others. Thanks for any help. -- Todd

Are you referring to the link in the navbar at the top? Try using the File->Publish All to MobileMe and see it that will jump start the link.
Otherwise try creating another new page with the same theme and see if it is reachable from the Home page. If so, copy and past the items on the problem page to the new one and delete the problem page.

Why do I receive a "Page nor available" error message on my site after I add a link to a new page?

At work, I have been adding a new page to an existing folder. This appears to be properly placed in my site folder on my desktop. I also have the new page linked and saved. However, after I link the page, save it, manually "put" the page onto the existing site, then refresh the page, when I go into the actual site and click on the link, it reads an error message that the site is temporarily unavailable.
As a test, I used the same method to link to one of the existing links that already exist within the site, and it connected just fine.
What am I doing wrong?

Assuming the path to your links is correct, sounds like it could have been a server glitch. Normally, if the page is not found, you receive a 404 error. If the server is down or your internet connection times out, you'll get "site is temporarily unavailable."

Should"ve known there were going to be problems...now after installing snow leopard, my pages will not open, my mail will not open, keynote, numbers. ical...a huge number of issues, and now with schol starting I cannot use my computer to do any work.......Any helpful thoughts would be greatly appreciated

The issues most people seem to be having are
1. Duplication of fonts and some wonky fonts. Check these and fix them in *Font Book.*
2. That they did not correctly transfer iWork. You can't just simply drag the software over, nor will it work if you had changed the names of the folders they were in. You should have done a full migration or possibly reinstall if you can't get out of the problems.
3. You need to have upgraded the software to the latest versions.

Usually on my msn home page I can see stocks and my hotmail account. After upgrading the place is there but it won't show whether I have new emails or not and doesn't show current stock prices.

If for FaceTime or Messages see:

Otherwise what are you doing?
