Agent reports SCAN listeners incorrectly

I an running Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.3 and the agents in question have been upgraded to 12.1.0.3 agents.
On a two node cluster, node names are Aporia & Lepisma the OEM console is not reporting the scan listeners correctly. There are three scan listeners -
SCAN VIP scan1 is enabled
SCAN VIP scan1 is running on node lepisma
SCAN VIP scan2 is enabled
SCAN VIP scan2 is running on node aporia
SCAN VIP scan3 is enabled
SCAN VIP scan3 is running on node aporia
however emctl config agent listtargets on host Aporia shows all three scan listeners whereas on Lepisma only scan1 is reported currently. Relocating the listeners using the srvctl command will cause a listener to run on the other node but the agent does not see the change, listtargets still reports them the same way (I hope I am explaining this clearly).
On node Aporia I ran the command -
emctl control agent runCollection agent12c2_5_aporia:oracle_home oracle_home_config
hoping that would cause the agent to report correctly but to no avail. I may not be using the correct syntax for the runCollection command.
As a result when looking at the scan listeners in the OEM console all three are reported on Aporia with scan2 always reported as down and Lepisma only reports scan1, regardless of where it is running. For some reason the agent is not reporting the status of the listeners correctly and I need help resolving that problem. The results of the srvctl and emctl config agent on each node show the following -

Hi Bill,
1. Go to Targets > All Targets > Cluster > select the cluster name, then select Target setup from the cluster menu > Monitoring Configuration.
2. Fill in all the properties (for instance, the SCAN Name, SCAN Port, etc.) and select Update to save the configuration.
3. Go back to the cluster target home page, select View All Properties, verify that the SCAN name, SCAN port are shown.
4. Execute the command:   emctl control agent runCollection <cluster target name>:cluster crs_event
For example: emctl control agent runCollection dreamq1-cluster:cluster crs_event12g
5. Give the process a little time for the data to be uploaded to the repository before checking the status of the listeners.

  • 11gR2 dbcontrol sees RAC SCAN listeners on wrong nodes

    Hi,
11.2.0.2.10 RAC with 2 nodes on Linux x64.
After bringing nodes down one at a time yesterday for OS updates, now EM isn't seeing the SCAN listeners on the right nodes anymore. So they all show down, but it's really just thinking they are on the wrong node.
    'srvctl status scan' shows:
    SCAN VIP scan1 is enabled
SCAN VIP scan1 is running on node data2
    SCAN VIP scan2 is enabled
SCAN VIP scan2 is running on node data1
    SCAN VIP scan3 is enabled
SCAN VIP scan3 is running on node data1
'emctl config agent listtargets' on data1 shows:
    [LISTENER_SCAN1_dlrac, oracle_listener]
'emctl config agent listtargets' on data2 shows:
    [LISTENER_SCAN2_dlrac, oracle_listener]
    [LISTENER_SCAN3_dlrac, oracle_listener]
I've tried 'emctl clearstate agent' and 'emctl reload agent' on both nodes, which didn't work. Now, if I bring crs on a node down and back up, EM sees the listeners move, but still to the opposite node of where they really are.
    Ideas?
    Thanks.

Please do not use emctl clearstate agent command.

  • Ad hoc Risk Analysis report is returning incorrect Risk Level for some Risks

We are running GRC AC 10.0 with SP 16.  After application of Support Pack 16, some of our ad hoc risk analysis reports are returning incorrect risk levels.  For example:  Risk F024 Open closed periods and inappropriately post currency or tax entries is set as High.  When the Ad hoc report is run, the risk F024 will show on a user with a level of Medium.  We have generated our ruleset and have followed the normal procedures used to implement the support pack.  Any ideas what is causing this issue?  I have exhausted my knowledge and search attempts.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Sara B.

    Hi Kevin
Many thanks for your post, we did run a full BRA but no luck unfortunately. Some Risks still reporting as Medium when they should be Critical or High. Oddly it is reporting correctly against some risks just not for all!

  • SMS_AD_SECURITY_GROUP_DISCOVERY_AGENT - Active Directory Security Group Discovery Agent reported warnings for 524 object(s). DDRs were generated for 0 object(s) that had warning(s) while reading non-critical properties.

Hi, can anyone help me troubleshoot the following please:
Active Directory Security Group Discovery Agent reported warnings for 524 object(s). DDRs were generated for 0 object(s) that had warning(s) while reading non-critical properties. DDRs were not generated for 524 object(s) that had warnings while reading
    critical properties.
Possible cause: OU name or Security Group name may contain at least a Unicode character which has conversion problem between Unicode and your system ANSI locale(e.g. Korean characters in English System Locale). The site server might not have access to
some properties of this object. The container specified might not have the properties available.
Solution: Please verify the Active Directory schema for properties that are not replicated or locked. Refer to the discovery logs for more information.
Does the error relate to 524 security groups? There are several invalid search paths listed in adsgdis.log, are these related?
    Thanks,
    Dale

You'll have to examine the log to determine exactly which objects its referring to. Although this is in the context of group discovery, group discovery still creates DDRs for computer objects within those groups so it could be either groups or computers.
This is not a search path issue though as it's clear that the discovery process found 524 different objects, but as stated, it could not properly read criticial properties of those objects and thus did not create DDRs for them.
As mentioned, reading the log in detail will list the objects individually and the reason it could not create a DDR for it.

  • UCCX Agent Reporting Issue

I've some questions after an agent report has been generated.
In the agent detail report, I found that a specific call handled by the agent has a call with Talk Time for more than 9 hours (Call Type : Inbound ACD, Transfer-in). However, the duration for the Call Start-Time and Call End Time are only 1 mins.
Why Call Start/Call End only shown 1 minutes for the call, but Talk time generated as 9 hours? Is there any issue on the nature of the call?
    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks alot Gabriel.
Now i am able to login Historical reports .

  • NAC Agent reporting never shows a failure

I seem to only get reports for successful agent logins under Device MGMT>Clean Access>Clean Access Agent>Reports.  Am I missing a setting somewhere?  Even though I have had many failures (testing, etc) I never see a failed report.  Any ideas?

    Hello,
Could you please confirm what error message you are getting on the NAC agent (if using the NAC agent for posture validation)?  The NAC agent will display the standard stuff such as 'temporary access', etc.  The message displayed is based upon which requirement is failing, for example a standard AV installation check/rule.
Also, for this failing client, do you see a passed report or no report at all? Well, for the agents that ultimately pass posture assessment (even if a particular check/rule fails) we see a passed report.  If the agent never gains access, IE never gets out of 'Temporary Access' we don't see any report.  I am hoping that when a Agent fails posture assessment we will see a failed report.  IE, we need a way for the service desk to be able to monitor failed sessions proactively, and with the minimal external alerts available (no email, etc) these failed reports would be key.
If we can't see no report at all, there may be something that breaks before that. I have pages and pages of successful reports, but not a single failed report.
A quick way to verify would be to collect the NAC agent's logs after a failure, under
Start > Program Files > Cisco > Client Utilities > Cisco Log Packager I don't see this installed on any of the machines with an agent?  Please adivse where I can download it.  Thanks.

  • Nac appliance - clean access agent report

    Hi,
I have been searching a lot, and I don't find any good explanation about how the clean access agent report works. I experienced that not all agent activity will be reported. Sometimes it showed up report about the "passed" and "failed" agent, but not at another time. Would someone give me explanation about when the agent will show up reports and it will not ? or did it show bugs ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
does anybody experience this ? or Everything is going fine on your NAC ? I am using NAC 4.1.3.1.

  • SAPCCM4X agent reports active eventhough its stopped at OS level

We are having sapccm4x agent running on NW PI 7.1 system connected to Solman 7.0
When we stop the agent or if the agent process stops / killed, normally its reported at SAP level as Inactive and availability as 0
    On Solman system
RZ21 --> Technical Infrastructre --> Display Topology --> Agents for Solman system SID --> Agent for Remote SAP system -->
the particular agent status is ONLINE and it tests properly
    Also
RZ20 --> CCMS Technical expert monitors -> CCMS Selfmonitoring --> SID -->  CCMS Agents
Reports the status and availability MTE as green
    But at OS level
    ps -ef | grep ccm
    sapccm4x -stop pf=<instance profile path>
    it says AGENT IS STOPPED
I cleared shared memory as well using command
    sapccm4x  pf=<instance profile path> -initshm
    Please help, Thanks

    Thanks Ragu,
    I tried the same
But since SAPCCM4X is connected to Solution manager as its Central monitoring system
    On Solman:
RZ21 --> Segment overview --> did not list SAPCCM4x entry for this managed system
It lists its own local segments
    Hence on managed system
    RZ21 --> Segment overview -->
SAP_CCMS_hostname_SID_01     Appl. Server     hostname_SID_01 - Reset to Warmup status
And then started and stopped agent at OS level, still its reporting active

  • Report to correct FD33 report is showing incorrect values ??

    Hi Guys,
Will appreciate your help on below issue.
The "RVKRED88 - Reorganization of SD credit data after updating errors" report is showing incorrect values.
It is specially observed for invoice correction requests that are credit blocked.
The doc flow is like  Order (say value  1000 $), delivery, shipment, Picking, GI, billing, accounting all cleared/complete.
The invoice corrrection req (say value  -ve 50$)  was then created with reference to the billing doc.
The RVKRED88 report shws the original order as open and also shows an open delivery value of 1000$ + 50$= 1050$.
Is this behaviour correct? If not what might be the cause of this? and how to correct it?

I am not sure, how come you are getting correct numbers for UK plant if BX is not loaded. You can get numbers correctly only in one situation which is your initial stock at that plant was ZERO, which is practically not possible.
You said you are loading for Denmark only.
Was the BF init done only for UK?
How come you are loading BF Delta for UK only?
Did you check properly that BX is not loaded into production by changing the date range. Make sure you put the lowest date range in the from field. I would put 01/01/1000
As you said ISS is coming right because those are movements and they dont have to do anything with initial stock, but initial stock and movements affec your Total Stock Key Figure.

  • How many Scan Listeners, we have to configure for 5 Node RAC?

    Dear Professionals,
How many scan Listeners we need to configure for 5 Node RAC? Oracle will not allow us to create More than 3 scan's? What If i have one scan Listener per each for 1st 3 node's? what about remaining two Node's? How application user will connect to 4 or 5 Node? Can you please explain..? Forgive me, If am totally wrong?
    Thanks
    Sagar

Each of the 5 instances will register itself with the scan listener (using the instance parameter remote_listener).  Thus, the scan listener is "aware" of the database instances on the other two nodes where it is not running.  It can still redirect incoming connections to the local listeners on these nodes (registered as local_listener).

  • Three SCAN listeners on 2-node 11gR2 RAC

    Hi there
A colleague of mine has configured a 2-node 11gR2 RAC. I got a chance to explore a bit. I noticed that there are total of three SCAN listeners. Out of the three SCAN2 is on one node and SCAN1 and SCAN3 are on the other node.
I stoped SCAN listeners (using srvctl) and then started them. I found them running the same nodes as they were before. Looks like clusterware somehow keeps track of which SCAN listener is running on which node.
I have few of questions regarding SCAN listener:
Q1: How did Oracle/Clusterware decided to run the SCAN listeners in this configuration (SCAN2 on one node and SCAN1/3 on the other).
Q2: Where does clusterware stores this infomation?
Q3: What if this was a four-node cluster? Would we need to have the SCAN mapped to four-IPs (so that each node has its own SCAN listener)?
Q4: What is the role of the usual standard tns-listener in this 11gR2 RAC environment (because I think it is the SCAN listener that listens for the client's connection requests, right?). Is it redundant ?
Q5: Is it correct to assume that "clusterware somehow keeps track of which SCAN listener is running on which node."?

I have few of questions regarding SCAN listener:
Q1: How did Oracle/Clusterware decided to run the SCAN listeners in this configuration (SCAN2 on one node and SCAN1/3 on the other). Oracle clusterware is by default designed to restore the previous state of resource. SCAN vip and its associated scna listener are paired, so when scan VIP failsover to other node so does scna listener to same node.
You might have got this configuration after rebooting the nodes which is expected.
Q2: Where does clusterware stores this infomation?OLR(oracle local registry) and OCR
Q3: What if this was a four-node cluster? Would we need to have the SCAN mapped to four-IPs (so that each node has its own SCAN listener)?Oracle recommends to configure max 3 scan VIPS not matter if you have 2 or 10 node cluster. Always configure 3 scan ip for high availability
Q4: What is the role of the usual standard tns-listener in this 11gR2 RAC environment (because I think it is the SCAN listener that listens for the client's connection requests, right?). Is it redundant ?SCAN Listener handsover the connection to node listener(local listener) which then connects to database. If local listener is stopped, you cannot connect to database instance running in that node.
Q5: Is it correct to assume that "clusterware somehow keeps track of which SCAN listener is running on which node."?AFAIK oracle keeps the runtime information in OCR and wheever failover happens OCR is updated with correct information.

IDScan listeners number depend scan IP addresses. You can use 1 IP address for scan IP.
Oracle recommend 3 scan IP address for scalability. Actual role of scan listeners,
when you add or remove instance from cluster, then not need changes on clients.
SCAN listeners talk with local listeners, and there have load balancing on scan.

  • Scan listeners number and balancing result

    Hello,
inside the docs 3 scan listeners are usually referred.
But is it correct to say that with this setup and only 2 RAC nodes, you will normally have an unbalanced cluster, and one node with two times the connections of the other one?
Because if you use round robin DNS you will get 2/3 of resolutions to one node (the one that has got two of the 3 associated IPs bound) and 1/3 to the other one.
So in case of 2 nodes, would it be better to have only 2 scan listeners, or set a 4th one eventually?
    Thanks,
    Gianluca

It is not an unbalanced cluster , scan listeners will only direct the incoming request to the node listener of the instance with lesser  load.
All scan listeners will have all instances in cluster registered with it and so each listener know to which node the connection request should be sent to balance the load.
Even in case of a 10 node cluster, 3 scan listeners would be sufficient,  it is not necessary to have scan listener running on each node to send the connections to that node.

  • Agent reporting for PCCE Outbound campaigns

    Hi all,
I'm running through the out of the box reports to find the relevant report for outbound campaign at agent level.
    a) Agent Historical All Fields
    b) Agent Skill Group Historical All Fields
    c) Agent Queue Interval
None of these report are showing any values for Completed Tasks (Handled, AHT, etc). Only the Agent State Times are shown
Using the same query from those reports and running it directly in SQL, the following fields are populated with values (CallsAnswered, AutoOutCalls, AutoOutCallsTime, PreviewCalls, PreviewCallsTime, ReserveCalls, ReserveCallsTime, etc)
Does that mean that is no out of the box reports for agent based outbound campaign and everything needs to be customized?
