Agent test fails in ODI

Hi,
The ODI agent is configured in the server 172.25.113.147 and i am able to run the Standalone agent successfully in the server 172.25.113.147.But when i tried to connect the agent through ODI and test the agent it diplays the below error message.

Double check below points.
1. Make sure the port number is correct
2. Make sure there is no firewall issues otherwise ODI cannot connect to http://172.25.113.147:20910
3. Try to ping the 172.25.113.147

Please help wit the issue below !!
Versions: ODI 11.1.1 and Weblogic 11g Release1 10.3.3.
Server : Windows 2003 server ,32-bit OS.

Hi Kenny,
This error seems to indicate the credentials you've specified for the master repo are not working. Either ensure the login works at the repo, or rerun the installer and specify a set of known good credentials there.

ODI Agent Test Failed -Connection timed out

Hi,
I have created an agent and launched it as a scheduler agent using command :
./agentscheduler.sh -name="Agent_Test" -port=20911
it gives message -Server Launched
However when I test it in Topology Manager in Physical Architecture , it gives me error-Agent Test Failed-Connection Timed Out.
Any pointers to why is this error appearing and how it could be resolved ?

Urgent: Agent Test Failed

1.) I have a strange error with the odi java agent.
I installed it successfully..., executed few scenarios Successfully.
2.) But after few executions, it started throwing the following error.
But if i restart the OracleDIAgent or restart regarding odi_server then it again connects and execute scenario.
And again after one or two executions, it throws error.., and i need to restart the server for next execution.
3.) I am unable to understand the regarding issue..

Is this the stand alone java agent or the J2EE agent deployed in WL server? I would suggest you use the java stand alone agent (I had issues with the WL deployed agent).
How are you running the scenario? from the ODI Designer client, as a web service or from the command line?
I had this same problem running the scenario as a Web Service, fixed it by using the Context code, not the context name as parameter (DEVELOPMENT1 instead of "Development" in my case).

ODI 11g Weblogic agent test connection in windows

I have deployed the ODI console,Java EE agent and ODI sdk web services.Weblogic admin server link http://localhost:7001/console/login/LoginForm.jsp.

In my master repository i have just created Java EE agent in my master repository with weblogic context as:oraclediagent and port:7001 is WLS server port.
Till now i have not created even single standalone agent.
I took encoded password for my Java EE agent say JAVA_AGENT2 and modified in the odiparams file.
i started the java agent and while testing the connection of this java agent i am getting following error.

ODI Agent Test Start is Wrong

I've been following John's excellant blog. I've created the master repository. In topology manager, I have created the connection, the dataserver, the work repository, the agent and context. I've updated odiparams.bat (http://john-goodwin.blogspot.com/2008/09/odi-series-part-2-agent.html)

It is trying to call "%ODI_HOME%\bin\odiparams.bat
and it can't find the file.
Do you have an windows environment variable set for ODI_HOME
If not create one and set its value to C:\ODI\oracledi
or update it to the path above
It should then find odiparams.bat

Make sure that JDK 1.6.0_21 or higher version insatlled in your PC.
Have you installed RCU 11g before ODI 11g installation.
If not, please installed it and later start the ODI 11g installation.
Open odiparams.bat/sh file.
encode the master repository password using enocde.cmd/sh and paste the same encoded password on odiparams.bat/sh file
check MASTER DB Crredentials/Master repository login credentials/ work repository details are properly setuped or not.
check JDBC URL
check ODI_JAVA_HOME path seted in your PC
ODI_JAVA_HOME=d:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_21 in case weblogic installed before ODI 11g other wise
ODI_JAVA_HOME=c:\Program files\Java\jdk1.6.0_21\bin at Windows (setup it on environment variable) at linux export the ODI_JAVA_HOME path using "export" command
run the ODI agent and check whether it is running or not.

Authentication to agent workstation failed when trying to run a test in Oracle Test Manager

I have the complete version of OATS installed on my local machine. I have the OracleATSHelper, OracleATSServer and OracleATSAgent services running.
In OTM when I go to run an openscript test I select the system, type the version number and hit run and get a "Authentication to agent workstation failed" error in the summary field.
It worked before but I cant figure out why it isnt working anymore.
Can anyone help?

I am getting the same error when trying to execute a script from OTM - "Authentication to agent workstation failed".
I have the OTM server on a remote (server) machine and the Oracle Agent is running on my laptop / workstation. I've tried all I have seen on this thread, but no progress. The manager is now in manual mode and the console only provides the following output:

Which version of Oracle 9i you are running! I saw this type of error when upgrading a Test Server from Oracle 9i (9.2.0.4) on Linux RH4 to Oracle 11g.
May be one of the reason for the Time Zone issues.

Looks like I found cause. There is change in parameter value for jre in oraparam.ini file of 10.2.0.5 agent software.
I have changed "JRE_MEMORY_OPTIONS=" -mx350m" to ” JRE_MEMORY_OPTIONS=" -mx150m". Configuration and one-off patches are applied consecutively to agent installation.
This was problem where local zone memory were capped to lower resoure in solaris projects.

I have installed Oracle 10.2.0.1 Grid software on a Solaris Zone. I plan to upgrade it to 10.2.0.5 very soon but would like to test the agent connection from a remote server first. I installed agent version 10.2.0.5 on the remote server. When I log into the oracle grid GUI I can see the host called "localhost" (this is not the correct name. It should be the server name) and the database instances on that server. However, when I select the localhost and press the configure button I get the following message:
Communication from the Oracle Mngt service host to the agent host failed. Refer to help for details localhost:cn=servername
The system administrators changed the /etc/hosts file to make sure the server was listed first fully qualified. For example: servername.domain.com instead of servername. However, this did no make a difference.
Could the issue be any of the following:
- Oracle 10.2.0.1 GRID does not work with 10.2.0.5 agents ?
- Oracle GRID in general don't work on SOLARIS Zones?

OMS - -> Agent communication is not upward compatible
Downward, so Agent 10.2.0.1 --> OMS 10.2.0.5, should not be a problem.
In the last case however, you would not have access to any 10.2.0.5 Agent features.
So you can choose from 2 working options:
1 - Install the 10.2.0.1 Agent
2 - Upgrade your OMS to 10.2.0.5 (preferable)

Start Agent Process failed ! Failed to logon a RDP session.

So, trying to run a basic load test and I'm gettin this error "Start Agent Process failed ! Failed to logon a RDP session." I've enabled windows remote management on the agent box, installed the Oracle ATS Agent and have it running under my ID (agent box), setup the agent box in the "Systems" menu and successfully ran a connection test.
It's got to be something small, and unfortunately the included documentation is confusing. It keeps referencing a process for getting the Oracle Load Test Agent service, however it doesn't exist. It's not where the docs say the installer should be, and it's not an included option of the full installer.
Any help or guidance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Recently i have changed masterrepository password and as well SUPERVISOR password. While starting agent application in weblogic domain geting following error.

In weblogic domain ,for the data source odiMasterRepository the password is corrected and restarted itmes required.where else i can correct the masterreposiry credentails.
Whle adding domain credeintals into weblogic ,i had run followings

CodedUI Tests Fails Intermittently With Initialization Errors

We are exactly in the same situation. We have large number of CodedUI test cases (500+) which runs daily. Some of the tests fails intermittently with the initialization failures. The details are:
ERROR MESSAGE
Error calling Initialization method for test class TEST_CLASS_NAME: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.
ERROR STACK TRACE
