Aggregate Hit by query are not shouwing up
Hello Friends. i am facing issue with aggregate not being hit. I created the aggregate by using first the field and filter that exist when i run the RSRT with Aggregate found selection . then i use the same list of fields and created the aggregate. now when i am running the RSRT and choose display aggregate found it still display the cube name in Column Cube/Aggregate.
also checked sto3n it shows the aggregate but say 0 execution
1. i did activated and filled the aggregated
2. i did check its all green
How do i make 100% sure that my aggregate is not being hit by report. if thats the case then how do i fix it so that query hit the aggregate. even though i am putting the same selection like month march 2008 as fiscal year period.
i did not see the fiscal year variant field in aggregate but i see that comes with fiscal year / period
please help resolve the issue
Thanks

Results from query are not shown (FRM-40350)
When I do a query on a form I get the message FRM-40350 Query caused no records to be retrieved. But when I use count query there are records fetched..
I would like to know what can be causing this.
I am using Designer 2.1.2 with Headstart 2.1.2.Dear Prakash,
you have saved our day!!
That was exactly to step needed to bring the key figures into the query.
Why is this not documented anywhere?
Thank you very much,

Results in the query are not like the one in the cube
Hello there,
I have a problem. when I execute a query, and see the results, it doesn't match. The query calculates some things. I have a sort of formula, when I execute it on database level I get a other result and when I execute on query level I get other results. The problem is that the wrong results that I get, is for a couple of days. only couple of days are wrong. Where should I search because I don't know it anymore.Hi
Check the data of your cube from LISTCUBE TCode. And then apply the formula (what you have applied at the query level) on the Cube data.
And then compare the data if it is matching.
And if you find that data in Cube is wrong then you will have to hig in to its source data.

Dates are not mapped as the Date data type in Universe created on Infoset
Hi,
When i try to create the universe on top of Infoset query, the date fields present as the variables in SAP BI Query are not mapped as date data type in Universe, instead they are considered as Characters, hence the prompts related to those variables are coming s List of values instead of Calendar in WebI.
Can any one pls help me to find the solution on how to map date variables as calendar in Webi Prompts.(For SAP BI Queries created on Infoset)
Edited by: Nisha Makhija on Jul 20, 2009 5:59 PMHi Ingo,
Thanks for your response!!
The I Query is built on Top of BW MultiProvider and the InfoObject is of Type DATS.
Actually our Modeling on the BI is as follows :
DSOs> Infoset>Multiprovider->BI query>Universe.
Since we were not able to get the prompts as Calander so We tried Debugging on different Data targets to find the root cause. Please find our observations as follows:
When I tested the same date infoobject(of Type DATS) by creating a BI Query on top of DSO, Infocube & Multiprovider ,the Prompts are working fine as a calander in WEBI Report.
But when the BI Query is built on Infoset data target, In WEBI Report I am getting list of values rather a Calender prompt .
I tested in the Universe that field is appearing as Character instead of Date.
Please guide to resolve this issue.
Thanks,
Nisha. -
Why users are not able to see certain printers even though they are in the Airgroup server table
Q: Why users are not able to see only certain printers even though they are in the Airgroup server table ?
A: In certain scenarios we may notice printers come up under the server /cache entries on the controller.
However when an airgroup user does search for printer, they may not see all the printers, certain printers may be not visible .
This is because the service IDs sent by the user in the MDNS query are not broadcast by these printers
In the below capture the Ipad sends query for service id "_universal_sub_ipp_tcplocal" and "_universal_sub_ipps_tcplocal" and hence the controller will
respond with the printers that broadcasts these service ids.

In order to learn other printers we may need to use specific app provided by printer vendor on the client or configure the printers to send these service IDs.The net 451 issues made it not work after a while but it affected the entire RWW site not just remote access:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/sbs/archive/2014/01/13/troubleshooting-an-unexpected-error-occurred-message-when-using-remote-web-access-to-connect-to-computers.aspx
Careful if you try and uninstall it, you'll need to put back net 4.0 and reconfigure some stuff.
Did it ever work?
Make sure the users have installed the certificate they need and turn on compatibility mode in IE (also make sure IE isn't locked down and disabling activeX).:

SSRS,MDX- Passed parameters are not hitting the main query in Dataset
I have created a SSRS report which has to accept two parameters i.e., store name, Date(to show sales on particular date) in report. which are working fine for me. but, those passed parameters are not hitting the main query in main Dataset. what ever i
pass in parameters, it is displaying all the rows(every city values). i think i am not correct in creating the statement in Main dataset query, to receive those 2 parameters into the main query. can anybody please help me how to create the statement
in main date set to display the results for the exact parameter i am passing(which has to be in MDX).
ramHi ramprasad74,
According to your description, you want to use parameter in the report, then after parameter values are selected, corresponding data will be displayed in the report. But the parameters do not work and all the rows are displayed.
To pass parameter to main report dataset, we need to define parameter for MDX query and assign parameter name same as SSRS report parameter. For detail information, please refer to the following steps:
Create a Dataset to retrieve data for Store name parameter.
Create Store name parameter, type name and prompt, set Date type to Text, check Allow multiple values check box, then select get values from the dataset.
Create a Dataset for Date parameter.
Create Date parameter, type name and prompt, set Date type to Date/Time, then select get values from the dataset.
Create a new dataset used to retrieve data for the report, add statement like below to the mdx query: {STRTOMEMBER(@Date)} * {STRTOSET (@Store_name)}.
In Query Designer pane, click Query Parameters and assign parameter name same as SSRS report parameter.
For more information about SSRS Report with Single and Multi Selection Parameter using MDX Query, please refer to the following blog:

Query is not hitting in detail Level
Hi,
1.Why the query is hitting the detailed level source when aggregate source is available ? BI Server is confused and hitting the detail level. Even after setting the levels at content tab it is not hitting the aggregate source.
Thanks In Advance,
Raji......Make sure your detail level table and agg tables are not set to same level, these suppose to be different levels from same dim.

Cursors are not closed when using Ref Cursor Query in a report ORA-01000
Dear Experts
Oracel database 11g,
developer suite 10.1.2.0.2,
application server 10.1.2.0.2,
Windows xp platform
For a long time, I'm hitting ORA-01000
I have a 2 group report (master and detail) using Ref Cusor query, when this report is run, I found that it opens several cursors (should be only one cursor) for the detail query although it should not, I found that the number of these cursors is equal to the number of master records.
Moreover, after the report is finished, these cursors are not closed, and they are increasing cumulatively each time I run the report, and finally the maximum number of open cursors is exceeded, and thus I get ORA-01000.
I increased the open cursors parameter for the database to an unbeleivable value 30000, but of course it will be exceeded during the session because the cursors are increasing cumulatively.
I Found that this problem is solved when using only one master Ref Cursor Query and create a breake group, the problem is solved also if we use SQL Query instead of Ref Query for the master and detail queries, but for some considerations, I should not use neither breake group nor SQL Query, I have to use REF Cursor queries.
Is this an oracle bug , and how can I overcome ?
Thanks

Datas are not available to the query when upload a Infopackage
Hello People,
I Would like to know what can be the reason ..why the datas are not available when we execute an upload from FlatFile to the Cube (this one is the last target one).
Considering tere aren´t any poroblem in may target (Cube)
The system shows us the upload was ok, but the status about the "available datas to the query" was not activated.
Thanks,
Rosana.Hi ,
Please go to T code SE16--> Table RSDDAGGR
Here AggrUID(STARTUID) give not equal to blank, you will get list of all the cubes which has aggregates.
If your cybe is in this list , you need to rollup the data to mae this available in reporting. You can rollupp the data by going into Manage of the cube.

Af:query does not fetch rows on submit but does hit on page refresh
Hello:
Thanks for looking at this post...
I'm using Jdev 11.1.1.3.0 and trying to get a simple ADF Web app to fetch data from the database. I'm using af:query on the left to enter the search criteria and af:table on the right to display the result. It seems when enter the search criteria and hit search button in the query panel, the rows are not fetched in the table on the right. But when the browser refresh button is hit, it shows the data
Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks for the help.

my IT department set up my Iphone and transferred the images from my Blackberry. I have over 1500 images showing in "Photo Library" and lots of them are duplicates (same image). When I hit edit it will not allow me to delete them, delete is not an option shown. How do I get rid of the duplicates?
In Photo library, when I hit edit the only avail options are share or add to. Please help, i dont want 1500 images on the phone. Are they really duplicates or are you simply referring to the Photo Library?
Just as a song is in your itunes library and the exact same song can be accessed via a playlist, all synced photos are in the Photo Library and those exact same photos ( not duplicates) can be accessed from the chose folder/album.
You delete these pica the same way you put them there. The sync process. Deselect them in itunes and sync. -
When I connect my iPod touch to my computer, I have a list of Events on my iTunes-iPod-Photos. I want to erase these Events. However, the photos are NOT on my MacBook Air-iPhoto. When I check one of the Events and then hit Apply, the photos appear on my iPod. And one last thing: When I connect the iPod and open iPhoto, iPhoto tries to load New Photos (I think), but nothing happens. Any ideas?
Resolved.

SQL Query to find Receipt No.s which are not matched to AP Invoices
Hi
Please help me to frame a query to find list of Receipt No.s which are not matched with AP Invoices.
Please refer to the below query .
SELECT
poh.segment1 "PO No.",
aps.vendor_name "Supplier Name",
pol.item_description "Item Description",
rcvh.receipt_num "GRV No.s",
rcvl.quantity_received "Quantity",
pol.unit_price "Rate/Unit",
rcvtl.tax_name||' - '||initcap(rcvtl.tax_type) "Tax",
(rcvl.quantity_received * pol.unit_price) + nvl(rcvtl.tax_amount,0) "Amount"
FROM
po_headers_all poh,
po_lines_all pol,
po_distributions_all pod,
ap_suppliers aps,
rcv_shipment_headers rcvh,
rcv_shipment_lines rcvl,
rcv_transactions rcvt,
jai_rcv_line_taxes rcvtl
WHERE
poh.po_header_id = pol.po_header_id
AND poh.po_header_id = pod.po_header_id
AND pol.po_line_id = pod.po_line_id
AND aps.vendor_id = poh.vendor_id
AND aps.vendor_id = rcvh.vendor_id
AND rcvh.shipment_header_id = rcvl.shipment_header_id
AND poh.po_header_id = rcvl.po_header_id
AND pol.po_line_id = rcvl.po_line_id
AND rcvh.shipment_header_id = rcvt.shipment_header_id
AND rcvl.shipment_line_id = rcvt.shipment_line_id
AND poh.po_header_id = rcvt.po_header_id
AND pol.po_line_id = rcvt.po_line_id
AND aps.vendor_id = rcvt.vendor_id
AND rcvh.shipment_header_id = rcvtl.shipment_header_id
AND rcvl.shipment_line_id = rcvtl.shipment_line_id
AND rcvt.transaction_id = rcvtl.transaction_id
AND aps.vendor_id = rcvtl.vendor_id
AND rcvt.transaction_type = 'RECEIVE'
AND poh.authorization_status = 'APPROVED'
AND poh.segment1 = '210001079'
I have'nt included the Invoice Tables in the above query.
Please help me in that area.
This is bit urgent.
Please help me.
Regards
Nakul VenkatramanI am using ORACLE 11gR2 If you're licensed for Diangnostics pack then you might want to look at the AWR tables, e.g. DBA_HIST_SQLSTAT and cross-reference with DBA_HIST_SNAPSHOT.
By this will i get the top 5 consumed queries of DEV user in the whole session or its just the top 5 queries at that particular time. The "executions" columns in this query, does it mean that the no. of. times the query has executed... This will get you a random 5 queries that were first parsed by DEV. Depending on your application code/structure, it may well be that all code (except for system-recursive sql) executed by DEV is parsed by DEV, and all code parsed by DEV is executed by DEV but this isn't true for all.
In terms of top N queries, you need to ORDER BY and then restrict by ROWNUM at an outer level to the ROWNUM otherwise the ROWNUM filter is applied before the ORDER BY.
i.e.
SELECT *
FROM
(SELECT ...
FROM ...
WHERE
ORDER BY...)
WHERE ROWNUM <= ....
The "executions" columns in this query, does it mean that the no. of. times the query has executedYes.

Is it ok to query tables/views that are not in the reporting database?
I have a requirement to show when a resource submitted/modified each of the items in their time sheet I found that we can get in this information by going directly to the publishing table MSP_Assignment_Transactions but it is well documented that accessing
the publishing tables directly is not supported by Microsoft.
What other options are there to get the data from this table or for that matter any table other than the reporting tables that Microsoft would support?
Just as an FYI we do not want to write to them we just want to select the data we need.Even though accessing published DB is not supported for several reason, depending upon query you may start experiencing performance problems, if a later CU/SP alters the DB schema your reports may fail, but personally haven't experienced it in long
time,
Also in my personal experience if you are not acquiring lock on the table while querying, it doesn't harms but then there are downside of it
However as an alternate as Rod suggested use PSI to get the data and stage it in staging table or something and then use it for reporting or you can replicate the publish DB and use that for reporting purpose
