Sap installation screen shots on UNIX platform
hi friends,
can any one send or guide me in getting me the SAP INSTALLATION screen shots on UNIX platform..
pls mail to [email protected]
regards,
satish."Unix" is a generic term for operating systems based on the initial AT & T operating system. There are many flavors of it - on some of them you can install a SAP system, on others not.
There is (for SAP)
AIX
HP-UX (on PA-RISC and IA64)
Solaris (on SPARC and x86_64)
Linux (on x86, x86_64, IA64, Power)
Each one of those has its specialties and special configuration. So without knowing to what "Unix" you are referring, your question can't be answered that easily.
On top of that, using screenshots to install software is a pretty bad idea. I may work for the one who did those but it may not for you if you have a different hardware configuration, more or less memory, different filesystem layout etc. In that case, you will cry for help the first time you see an error message - and since you don't know what the system was trying to do, you can't find a solution for it.
Therefore it's MUCH better to use the (very good) installation guides, they will tell you what you need to do, they will explain everything much more in detail than a "screenshot document" could tell you.
Use the given link to get your guide and try - and if you have problems, ask your questions in the appropriate forum - I'm sure there are people willing to help (including me).

Hi ,
We are trying to implement EP 7.0 based on NW 2004 s . Does anybody have a document with some screen shots ( step by step ) out their own experience .
I really appreciate this help
Thanks
JHi ,
Thanks for your reply . We are planning to install EP 7.0 on WAS 6.0 for NW04s SR1( this is basically for ESS 1.0 , MSS 1.0 , BP for learning solution 1.0 based on mySAPERP 2005 ( ECC 6.0 ) backend . We also wanted to have some BI java capabilities .Since the NW04s os based on Usage types , I am confused to go with what kind of usage types we wanted ( Because I saw one SDN thread saying that they have end up in installing two portals - one for the BI and another one for eg :the scenario ' Running an Enterprise Portal '.
We are planning for both central instance + Dialog instance . So any installation screen shots for installing the central instance and dialog instance will help .
You can also send it to <b>[email protected]</b>
Thanks

I could not update photoshop CS6 and Jeff from forum advised unistalling and reinstalling (Tk93580659). Mac OSX. In real trouble, as suggested I uninstalled and reinstalled but at the end of installation there were errors. See attached screen shot. Now I cannot open the application. Error code 10810 comes up when I try to open (see 2nd screenshot). Please help. I have now lost photoshop altogether whereas previous at least I still could use it but could not update. Thank you for any help to instal successfully. Dr Koh
Still looking for a solution to specific installation errors (see screeshot) referring to "Language Pack installation failure":
ERROR: DW050: The following payload errors were found during install:
ERROR: DW050: - Adobe Photoshop CS6 Core: Failed due to Language Pack installation failure
ERROR: DW050: - Adobe Photoshop CS6 International English Language Pack_AdobePhotoshop13-en_GB: Install failed
Unfortunately previous advice of using CCS cleaner tool, and suggestions from links for 1) "exit code 6 and 7" and 2) "Troubleshoot instal logs" did not work at all. So I am desparate to fix this because I have spent a lot of money purchasing Photoshop CS6 but have no functioning program. Surely Adobe can help solve this problem with installing, or else it means a lot of money spent on Photoshop CS6 for nothing. I am appealing directly to Adobe to help because I have come to the end of my options. I thank the forum for their suggestions but so far the solution for this specific "Language Pack installation failure" problem is missing. Thank you.

Error message titled "Internal Server Error". Unable to download screen shot, which is a small file, but .tiff.
Any recommendations on the basis of this very minimal info?
RPBHello,
Yes a screenshot will be helpful. The format needs to be either JPG or PNG to upload to the forums. You can use the Preview app (How to post a screenshot in the forum) to take the screenshot and save it in JPG or PNG.

Snowleopard Screen Shot - permission to save denied
I have encountered a bug in Snowleopard on two machines that give the error message: 'You don't have permission to save files in the location where screen shots are stored.' when I try to make a screen shot.
It turns out that the user/library/preferences fold does not have the apple.com.screenshot.plist file. There are two new installations of the OS by the way, so at least two copies of the OS installer are not creating this file.
Can anyone post the necessary contents of this file so people who are in my position (quite a few I would imagine) can manually create the necessary file?Kappy wrote:
DU does not repair any permissions in the Home folder.
Good point Kappy makes above.
However if you just upgraded to SL from 10.4.11 as your info shows, always good to repair permission after any upgrade.
If neccesarry maybe easiest to use Apple's *"Reset Home Folder Permissions"* routine that is available on the OS X installation DVD.
Boot to the DVD and select your language, and then choose "Reset Password" from the "Utilities" menu.
In this utility, you can *reset the permissions on your home directory* to be as they are on a default OS X installation. -

1.2 Lean WM Basic Settings
1.2.1 Defining Control Parameters and Number Ranges for the Warehouse Number Defining Control Parameters for the Warehouse Number
Use
A warehouse number is an organizational unit in Logistics, which organizes the company from the perspective of Warehouse Management.
In the Warehouse Management System, you can define a variety of control parameters at warehouse number level.
Procedure
1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
IMG Menu IMG  Logistic Execution  Shipping  Picking  Lean WM  Define control parameters and number ranges for the warehouse number Define control parameters and number ranges for warehouse no.(double click)

1.2.2 Defining Storage Type
Use
A warehouse number is subdivided into a variety of storage types. A storage type is defined by its physical or organizational features (for example, high rack storage area, bulk storage, and goods receipt areas).
A storage type has a short description rather than an address.
Before you can implement Lean WM, you must configure the following settings:
1. Assign a (newly defined) storage location to a warehouse number.(This step is defined by step 3.12 Control Plant / Storage Location / Warehouse Number Assignment
2. You should set up at least three storage types:
 a storage type (that will be used as a source storage type) with one or several fixed storage bins
 a goods issue area (as destination storage type) for deliveries
 an interim storage area for differences
Procedure
1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
IMG Menu IMG  Logistic Execution  Shipping  Picking  Lean WM  Define Storage type
Transaction Code SM30

1.2.3 Defining Doors
Use
In a WM-managed warehouse, you can define dock doors (also known as doors or gates). A door is a location where the goods either arrive in the warehouse or leave it.
You can assign different functions to a dock door, for example:
Goods receipt
Goods issue
Other transactions such as cross-docking and flow-through
Procedure
1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
IMG Menu IMG  Logistic Execution  Shipping  Picking  Lean WM Define Doors
Transaction Code SM30
2. Find the Field Name and input the relative value into the field

1.2.4 Defining Material Staging Areas
Use
A staging area is an interim storage area for goods that have been received from goods receipt and afterwards need to be transferred into the warehouse.
It is also an interim storage area for goods that were picked in a warehouse and are to be loaded for goods issue through loading ramps or doors.
You can assign different functions to a staging area:
Goods issue
Goods receipt
Procedure
1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
IMG Menu IMG  Logistic Execution  Shipping  Picking  Lean WM  Define Material Staging Area

1.2.7 Defining Movement Types
Use
The SAP R/3 System uses movement type to process movements in Inventory Management (for example, goods receipt for a purchase order or goods issue to a cost center). When the system recognizes a movement as being relevant for Warehouse Management, it assigns this movement to a WM movement type by means of a table.
The movement type for the Warehouse Management System provides the information required for stock removals or picking:
 Interim storage bin
 Fixed bin coordinate
 Control indicator for processing, confirming, and printing transfer orders
 Confirmation info
Procedure
1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

1.3 Print Control for Warehouse
Use
Print control defines the following:
Which slips are to be printed for the movements (that is, for the transfer orders) within the Warehouse Management System
How these slips are to be printed (that is, which forms are to be used, how many copies are to be printed)
On which printer a slip is to be printed automatically
And print control manages the print operations of the warehouse. This flexibility involves a certain degree of complexity with regard to the parameterization.
Procedure
1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
IMG Menu IMG  Logistic Execution  Shipping  Picking  Lean WM  Define Print control
Transaction Code OMLV
2. Choose the following button and check the contents

1.4 Manual Activity
1.4.1 Maintaining Number Range Intervals for Transfer Order
Use
Maintain number range intervals for transfer order
Procedure
In this step, you define that, the Number range for Transfer order as 01 and Group number as 01, now you should tell the system how the number range would like for 01 as transfer order and 01 for the group number, for both number range, you may define you own number range, the following information just for reference:
Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
IMG Menu IMG  Logistic Execution  Shipping  Picking  Lean WM  Define control parameters and number ranges for the warehouse number  Maintain number range intervals for transfer orders (double click)
Transaction Code LN02
Check if the internal number range 01 (0000000001-1000000000) has been defined
Once you have defined your number ranges, it is extremely difficult to change them afterwards when the objects concerned are filled with data.
Bear in mind that you will be entering data on a long-term basis. Create your number range intervals accordingly.
1.4.2 Maintaining Number Range Intervals for Reference Numbers
Use
Reference number range has the following meanings:
This number identifies a number range to be used for the assignment of sequential numbers for WM reference numbers. Reference numbers are used to create or print a group of transfer orders at one time.
A sequential number generated by the system for the purpose of multiple processing of transfer requirements and delivery notes.
The reference number can also be used to print the resulting transfer orders at a later time.
Procedure
In this step, you define that, the Number range for Transfer order as 01 and Group number as 01, now you should tell the system how the number range would like for 01 as transfer order and 01 for the group number, for both number range, you may define you own number range, the following information just for reference:
Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
IMG Menu IMG  Logistic Execution  Shipping  Picking  Lean WM Define control parameters and number ranges for the warehouse number  Maintain number range intervals for Reference Numbers( double click)
Transaction Code LN06
Check if the internal number range 01 (5000000000 - 5999999999) has been defined
Once you have defined your number ranges, it is extremely difficult to change them afterwards when the objects concerned are filled with data.
Bear in mind that you will be entering data on a long-term basis. Create your number range intervals accordingly.

Hi,
After selecting to install an ap, after lot of scanning of pages, the ap download screen is displayed. After the installation, when I select to go back to the categories option , it goes back to the first page of categories... After which I have to painfully go thru all the pages I have already seen.. Any way I can go to the last screen shot of categories instead?
Please advice.Unfortunately that is the way that it currently 'works' - you could try leaving feedback (you won't be the first to do so for this) : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

On my iMac OS-X 10.9.3 I am able to view a downloaded .pdf in my browser , if however I want to print out the .pdf via the File tab and Print in Safari, the message comes up that Adobe either does not support this format, or it s corrupted as an attachment to an email. I have tried saving it to my desktop by exporting it as a .pdf, or saving it to the desktop. In both cases when I try to open it, I get the same message.
Found that the only way I can save the data is to take a screen shot to my desktop and then I can print it out, but cripes what a pain!
Any suggestions would be welcome, is this me or an Adobe issue? If you are printing to physical printer from Safari : Use Reader print button from Reader toolbar

How to take a screen shot automatically and from a remote location
Hi,
I have a Desktop, a Video Analyzer with Windows XP, and a Laptop, also running Windows XP. What I would like to do is take a screen shot from the Video Analyzer while running the LabVIEW VI from my laptop.
I have found this, which gives me insight into the complexity of a print screen call, but this is really only if LabVIEW were running on the system from which my screen shot is desired. For this post, that is not the case.
If you have a solution or even just a vague idea or comment, please do not hesitate to post. I appreciate any and all feedback on this topic.
Thank you for your time.

Electrical Engineering InternThank you for your response. I would like to aviod using outside software in this. I'm sure that TightVNC is great, and it would probably work. I would, however, just like to do this using labview and labview only. Maybe it isn't possible but I really would like to do it entirely in labview. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them even if they, too, have outside software involved.
Thanks again Joseph
