any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
1. In addition to Dreamweaver CS5 and Extension Manager CS5, you'll also need the Java JRE 1.4 or later installed to preview and create AIR applications. You can get the latest Java JRE at http://java.sun.com.
2. Create a new site in Dreamweaver by choosing Site => New Site.
3. Set up an empty folder for your local site root.
t's best to use a new, empty site when setting up an AIR application to avoid incorporating unnecessary files in the compiled app.

Not able to make an air application in dreamweaver
Hi,
I have recently downloaded the air extension for dreamweaver
and have installed the runtime also. Whenever I try to make an
application.xml file, it throws up a dialog box stating that
"already an air application is running or you are previewing an
application. Close the application."
What am I supposed to do?
Any help will be appreciated.
GauravHi Gaurav -
Sorry for the delayed response; I just noticed this post.
Can you tell me a bit more?
1) Is this still happening?
2) What version of the extension are you running?
3) What are the exact steps that lead to this error dialog?
(What do
mean by "making an application.xml file" --- are you just
opening the
AIR Application Settings dialog, entering some details, and
then hitting
the Save button?)
It looks like the error message is actually misleading, but
I'm trying
to figure out what the real problem is.

I keep getting this error in Dreamweaver when I am trying to upload my website? Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? here is the error message: /html - error occurred - Unable to create remote folder /html. Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem. Make sure you have proper authorization on the server and the server is properly configured. File activity incomplete. 1 file(s) or folder(s) were not completed. Files with errors: 1 /html
Nobody can tell you anything without knowing exact site and server specs, but I would suspect that naming the folder "html" wasn't the brightest of ideas, since that's usually a default (invisible) folder name existing somewhere on the server and the user not having privileges to overwrite it.

Error in Dreamweaver: Unknown Adobe color transform code 2
I am getting an error in Dreamweaver: Unknown Adobe color transform code 2. Can anyone tell me what is causing this and what to do?
Not encountered that problem before, but unusual messages after performing a particular action in Dreamweaver are normally the sign that you have a corrupt cache file. Instructions on how to remove the corrupt file are here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/494811.

Java Script errors in Dreamweaver MX 2004
After disabling some of the extensions through "manage

some features. For example, if I click on Manage Extensions, the
javascript error is: " In the file manageExtensions, The following

Reference Error; manage Extensions is not defined." Edit Command
List comes up empty; the "Link" logo doesn't work;

Air Error Message when opening Photoshop
Hello,
I'm getting an Adobe Air error message when I open Photoshop (on Windows 7 Enterprise 32-Bit), "Adobe Air - The installation of this application is damaged". I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the current release of Air, tried reinstalling an older version of Air, tried deleting Air using the Microsft "Fix It" app and then reinstalling Air, tried deleting all instances of Air including manually removing anything in AppData and then reinstalling Air, tried the Air Zapper script that I found in the Adobe Forums and then reinstalling Air, tried uninstalling both Photoshop and Air and reinstalling but everytime I open Photoshop I receive that error message. Even with Air uninstalled I still receive the error message. It does seem to be happening in only one profile though, Photoshop opens fine in other profiles. I'm open to any suggestions...Thank you in Advance!!!Here is the install log:

Adobe Air Error - Initial Content Could Not Be Found
Hi,
I'm using BBC iplayer desktop and trying to download programmes. I keep getting an Adobe Air Error saying 'initial content could not be found for this application'. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Air but keep getting this message. Any ideas?
Thanks,
MaggieI have After Effects CS4 and my operating system Snow Leopard.
When I mean it doesn't work, I mean it won't load up when after it pulls up that error message. I'll click on the After Effects icon, it'll load as usual, then it'll pull up that error message.
After Effects warning: a compressor used in an output module template could not be found. The animation compressor will be used instead. ( 44 :: 18 )
I click okay, it closes, and then I have an error saying that Adobe After Effects has crashed. -
Anyone else getting adobe AIR error 2032 when trying to download Adobe max companion?
Hey;
I'm attending max for my first time and am psyched. I've tried downloading the Adobe MAX companian at http://www.max.adobe.com/companion but I keep getting error 2032. I'm wondering if I'm the only one experiencing this problem and if so what can I do to fix it? Thanks for your replies in advance.Thank you for responding. I found the problem. No it isn't a flash player
issue it is an AIR issue. I didn't know there was an AIR forum. I will post
the answer here instead of duplicating posts. If you are a developer and
have a virtual server on your computer you most likely will run into the AIR
error 2032 when trying to download the MAX companion for the conference
starting tommorow-Wednesday (Monday-Wednesday). You need to either add in a
chunk of code to your server that allows AIR to run or use a different
computer. I used a different computer but I read that someone found the
solution to this error is to add the code to their virtual server. I use
XAMPP, which is a rather popular Virtual Server. Okay well I hope this helps
anyone in the future. -
Adobe AIR extension for Dreamweaver
I am unble to get the .mxp extension file in the path (Download the Adobe AIR Extension for Dreamweaver here: http://www.adobe.com/products/air/tools/ajax/) that mensioned in Adobe Community Help.
How can I get the .mxp file...??Thanks very much playframe. Excellent sleuthing.
How stupid of Adobe to direct you to a website (http://www.adobe.com/products/air/tools/ajax/) that has no download. And since when did anything exist on Macromedia.com anymore? Does anyone even remember that company anymore -
I am having error messages appearing whilst switching pages
Message 1 while executing getCurrentValue in address url, a
java script error occurred.
Message 2 while executing page back enabled in toolbar a java
script error occuredOK - try this -
Quit DW.
Find this folder -
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
Explorer > Tools >
Folder Options to unhide them)
or on Mac -
Library/Application Support/Macromedia/Dreamweaver
8/Configuration/MacFileCache-*.dat
and delete it.
Restart DW. Works better?
If not, then go here -

Where can I get the Adobe AIR extension for Dreamweaver CS5.5 ??
I am either going insane or all the links I can find are broken.
http://www.adobe.com/products/air/tools/ajax/ redirects to http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air.html, which has no apparent download link.
Any help most welcome.I have been looking for the past couple of weeks. Some dweeb at adobe decided to redirect all URLs that had "air" in them to the stupid dev site that of course has no information on it about dreamweaver (except to buy it). It would be logical to put something big on the right side that says "if you got here to download the adobe air extension for dreamweaver it has been moved to here..... I guess nobody is monitoring the thousands of redirects from the air/tools/ajax and might say.. hey I should fix that.....
