Air to swf

Hi guys,
I am totally new in flex programming, right now I am trying to have a
swf file of my air application.
There is no error in my application and when I run the app it works
well. I even can package the app and it works as well.
when I run the application, I get the swf files in bin-debug folder
but there are many errors.
I get the same result by using ANT.
the errors are :
VerifyError: Error #1014: Class spark.components::WindowedApplication
could not be found.
Verify Error: Error #1014: Class flash.events::NativeWindowBoundsEvent
could not be found.
VerifyError: Error #1014: Class flash.html::HTMLLoader could not be
found.
and so on...

I think you missed the posting instructions for this thread - it's to do with AIR Help created through RoboHelp, not apps written in AIR. There's another forum for those questions.

    The loading of SWFs from AIR has a different Security model than that of the WebPlayer.  There is a workaround to loading plugins in AIR: If you use a static plugin this should work for you.  To do this: Link in the plugin at compile time, and pass the PluginInfoResource to the loadPlugin() method.

  • AIR load swf cash problem

    hi folks
    I am building android app.
    I have a problem with loading several .swfs cache. this swf-s have almost same package and class structure/ names.
    App stores ActionScript and assets of first loaded swf and when i try to load second swf, anyway it loads first swf.
    I used
    request.cacheResponse = false;
    request.useCache = false;
    loader.unload();
    loader.unloadAndStop();
    loader = null;
    but no luck, any solutions, suggestions?
    thanks

    I solved problem, swfs that I loading in app have same package names and classes, I changed package names for each swf and everything works fine.
    Main app stores in cash loaded swf-s AS code, I have't found solution how to clean this cash

  • Is AIR the right app for this?  SWF arguments

    I'm building a fairly simple AIR kiosk application that
    simply plays videos on a display in a store. I've been struggling
    with one main issue for several days, and I am wondering if I
    should even be using AIR to begin with. Here's the issue...
    I'm using AIR 1.5 and HTML/JavaScript.
    I want to play FLV videos using a SWF. This is the same thing
    you would do if you were embedding an FLV file in a Web page. So,
    the SWF I have (I've tried 4 different ones) has an argument that
    you pass in that is the video file name. This is done through the
    FlashVars param...
    <param name="FlashVars"
    value="flvname=my_flv_file&amp;autoPlay=true" />
    This works great when I run this app as an HTML file in a Web
    browser. When I put it in AIR, the video does not play.
    As I mentioned, I have tried 4 different SWF FLV players. In
    all cases, the SWF loads, but the FLV video will never play. There
    is no error message anywhere that I can find.
    Is what I am trying to do even possible? Is it the case that
    a SWF file in AIR cannot read an external FLV file? I also noticed
    that it does not load skin files for the players I have used. So,
    my conclusion seems to be that the SWF cannot access any local
    files.

    The problem is sandbox and URL confusion on the part of AIR
    when SWF content is loaded in HTML. You can load the secondary
    files in this situation with an absolute path or a remote URL, but
    not using a relative path.
    As a work around, you can load the videoplayer in an
    sandboxed iframe, such as:
    <iframe src="
    http://foo.com/videoplay.htm"
    width="100%" height="100%"
    sandboxroot="
    http://foo.com"
    documentroot="app:/foo"></iframe>
    where the videoplayer is loaded by foo/videoplay.htm and the
    player, movies and skins are in the foo directory.
    You might also be able to open a video player window using a
    file:/// URL, which should achieve the same end.

  • Air App file damaged

    I am getting the message that the Air app (tried several)
    cannot install because the Air file is damaged. I have uninstalled
    and reinstalled Air. I’ve had this problem with my previous
    Mac (PowerPC). Just got a new Intel Mac - migrated my apps and
    still cannot install Adobe Air apps. Adobe Air installs fine - but
    not the apps. Here is my log file:

    Can someone help - there are so many good Air apps I’d
    like to use.

    hi... I've been reading a number of threads on this
    frustrating issue & feel that some may be in a form of denial
    over it... having successfully downloaded adobe mediaplayer I
    subsequently received error messages on start-up saying that the
    adobe air file was damaged, even though adobe media still worked
    ok.. eventually, & more out of tidiness than anything else, I
    decided to uninstall AIR & reinstall it & thence came the
    problems... no matter where I downloaded it from I got the same
    error message as everyone else, about the file being damaged...
    anyway, being basically lazy I couldn't be doing with all the
    recommended logging of installation files, removal of certificates,
    etc & decided to move the AIR installation file to my
    C:/Program Files/Adobe folder & try installing it from there..
    well, (cue fanfare) it worked! Obviously I can't guarantee it'll
    work for everyone or all intended uses but give it a go before you
    try all the other suggestions & you might save yourself an
    awful lot of heartache... cheers

  • "An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR"

    I am running Vista Home Premium SP1, and I keep getting the
    following error while trying to reinstall Air. After the install, I
    get a dialog box telling me Air installed successfully. When I
    click OK, I get a second box telling me: "An error occurred while
    installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your
    administrator. Please contact
    your administrator."
    This error has repeated itself time after time. Air had
    installed fine a while back, but programs using it began having
    problems with uprgrades, so I uninstalled them and uninstalled Air,
    then tried to reinstall Air.
    Here's the .airinstall.log file from the last install

  • Adobe Air not working - error on mouseover or any interaction

    I had Adobe Air installed on Windows XP for a while, updated and all.
    It was working fine a few days ago, then an error repeatedly started occurring immediately after running an app.
    Normal Adobe Air deinstallation was not possible, due to the same problem - error on any GUI interaction.
    I finally managed to do a reinstall without GUI to no avail (I reinstalled Flash also). Any Air app still exits with error immediately.
    Any ideas?
    Paul

    I still have the same problem and I'd really like to use some Air apps - HELP, ANYONE?
    Every Air app exits immediately with error! I'm running Windows XP (as admin).
    The logs should say something, I am listing them here:

  • 7 Things every Adobe AIR Developer should know about Security

    7 Things every Adobe AIR Developer should know about Security
    1. Your AIR files are really just zip files.
    Don't believe me? Change the .air extension to zip and unzip
    it with your favorite compression program.
    What does this mean for you the developer? What this means is
    that if you thought AIR was a compiled protected format, alas it is
    not.
    2. All your content is easily accessible in the AIR file.
    Since we now that the AIR file is really just a zip file,
    unzip it and see what's inside. If you have added any content
    references when you published the AIR file, voila, there it all is.
    What does this mean for you the developer? Well, you content
    is sitting there ripe for the picking, and so is everything else
    including you Application descriptor file, images etc.
    3. Code signing your Air app does nothing as far as security
    for you.
    All code signing your app does is verify to the end user that
    someone published the app. I does nothing as far as encryption and
    does nothing to project your content.
    What does this mean for you the developer? We'll you should
    still do it, because getting publisher "unknown" is worse. It also
    means that joe hacker would not be able decompile your entire app
    and republish it with the same certificate, unless they
    somehow got a hold of that too.
    4. All your AIR SWF content is easily decompilable.
    Nothing new here, it's always been this way. Type flash
    decompiler into google and you'll find a variety of decompilers for
    under $100 that will take your AIR content swf and expose all your
    source code and content in no time.
    What does this mean for you the developer? All you content,
    code, urls and intellectual property is publicly available to
    anyone with a decompiler, unless you do some extra work and encrypt
    your swf content files, which is not currently a feature of AIR,
    but can be done if you do your homework.
    5. Your SQLite databases are easy to get at.
    SQLite datatbases can be accessed from AIR or any other
    program on you computer that knows how to work with it. Unless you
    put your database in the local encrypted datastore, or encrypt your
    entire database it's pretty easy to get at, especially if you
    create it with a .db extension.
    What does this mean for you the developer? We'll SQLite is
    very useful, but just keep in mind that your data can be viewed and
    altered if you're not careful.
    6. The local encrypted datastore is useful, but....
    The local encrypted datastore is useful, but developers need
    a secure way of getting information into it. Storing usernames,
    passwords and urls in clear text is a bad idea, since as we
    discussed, you code is easy to decompile an read. By putting info
    into the local encrypted datastore, the data is encrypted and very
    difficult to get at. The problem is, how do you get it into there,
    without have to store any info that can be read in the air file and
    without the necessity of communicating with a web server? Even if
    you called a web service and pushed the returned values into the
    datastore, this is not ideal, since you may have encoded the urls
    to you web service into your code, or they intercept the results
    from the web service call.
    What does this mean for you the developer? Use the local
    datastore, and hope that we get some new ways of protecting content
    and data form Adobe in the next release of AIR.
    7. There are some things missing form the current version of
    AIR (1.1) that could really help ease the concerns of people trying
    to develop serious applications with AIR.
    Developers want more alternatives for the protection of local
    content and data. Some of us might want to protect our content and
    intellectual property, remember not all of us are building toys
    with AIR. Other than the local encrypted datastore there are not
    currently any built in options I'm aware of for encrypting other
    content in the AIR file, unless you roll your own.
    What does this mean for you the developer? We'll I've been
    told that Adobe takes security very seriously, so I'm optimistic
    that we'll see some improvements in this area soon. If security is
    a concern for you as much as it is for me, let them know.

    Putting "secret data" as a clear text directly in your code
    is a broken concept in every environment, programing language.
    Every compiled code is reversible, especially strings are really
    easy to extract.
    There is no simple, straightforward way to include secret
    data directly with your app. This is a complicated subject, and if
    you really need to do this, you'll need to read up on it a bit.
    But in most cases this can be avoided or worked around
    without compromising security. One of the best ways is to provide
    the user with a simple "secret key" alongside the app (best way is
    the good old login/password). The user installs the app, and
    provides his "secret key", that goes directly into
    EncryptedLocalStore, and then you use this "secret key" to access
    the "secret data" that's stored on your server. Then you can
    transfer the "secret data" directly into EncryptedLocalStore.
    As for the whole thread:
    Points 1-5 -> Those points do not concern AIR apps only.
    If you are developing an application in any language, you should
    follow those rules, meaning:
    - Code installed on users computer is easy accessible
    - Data stored locally is easy accessible, even if it
    encrypted using any symmetric-key encryption, because the
    encrypting algorithm and encryption key is in your source code (you
    could probably write a book on using public-key encryption so let's
    just leave it for now ;)
    Point 6 -> Is a valid one. All your app security should
    relay on the EncryptedLocalStore. But it is your job to get the
    data securely into the ELS, because there is no point to encrypt
    data that can be intercepted.

  • AIR Badge + RewriteRule fails - Downloaded file is not an air file

    Hi everyone!
    I'm not entirely sure my problem comes from RewriteRule but I've searched this forum for topics on corrupted AIR files and the Install Badge and tried almost every possible tip with no luck so I thought maybe my special issue comes from it...
    Here we go:
    I have a server-side script that builds AIR apps which are supposed to be installed (via an Install Badge). Those AIR apps are not stored at a public URL (for security reasons) but read (via PHP) when a specific URL is called. Let me give you an example (with fake paths) :
    The server-side built AIR app is store at /srv/data/air/myApp.air
    A RewriteRule redirects calls to http://www.my-server.com/air/999.air to http://www.my-server.com/air.php?id=999
    The air.php uses the GET id to read the AIR file :
    header("Pragma: public");
    header("Expires: 0");
    header("Cache-Control: must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0");
    header("Cache-Control: private", false);
    header("Content-Type: $mimeType");
    header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=$name;" );
    header("Content-Length: ".filesize($path));
    readfile($path);
    With $mimeType="application/vnd.adobe.air-application-installer-package+zip" and $name="999.air"...
    When accessing the rewritten URL directly with a browser, everything is fine: the AIR file can be downloaded and installed as expected.
    But! When using an Install Badge linking to that URL, I get the nasty "The application could not be installed because the AIR file is damaged" message...
    And here's what's stored in .airappinstall.log:
    Starting app install of http://(...)/9889.air
    UI SWF load is complete
    UI initialized
    Downloading file to C:\Documents and Settings\Quentin\Local Settings\Temp\fla19D.tmp
    Received HTTP Response Status event
    Response URL is http://(...)/9889.air
    Downloaded file is not an air file.
    starting cleanup of temporary files
    application installer exiting
    Hum... And I'm stuck.
    Thoughts?
    I have multiple Install Badges in the same page, do you think this can break things?
    I've try adding the AddType instruction in a .htaccess file but it didn't change a thing...
    Thanks in advance!

    OK, I've got news.
    Bad news.
    In fact I realized the appurl set in the Install badge is (obviously) not called directly but by a script located at http://adobe.com/apollo... So your my session is not available in the script that is called and that reads the actual AIR file. So I can't check wether the user requiring the file has the right to. At least, not the way I intended to do it...
    I will keep you updated if I find something!

  • Change in air 2.0Beta?

    Yesterday,  I patch the Air 2 Sdk to my sdk (3.2.0). I found that something is change and my code can not run properly.
    1. Lock File
        The xml file used in the project locked and can not save the file.
        When I use a text editor to open the xml file, It said the file is using by other program
    Load File:
                   var fileStream:FileStream = new FileStream();
                   fileStream.open(file, FileMode.READ);
                   this.rawData = XML(fileStream.readUTFBytes(fileStream.bytesAvailable));
                   fileStream.close();
    Save :
                   var fileStream:FileStream = new FileStream();
                   fileStream.open(this.file, FileMode.WRITE);
                   fileStream.writeUTFBytes(ContactData.getInstance().rawData);
                   fileStream.close();
    And it give a Error#0 in the debug box with no message.
    The problem solve after switch back to the original sdk.
    Also, the exported .air file can not be execute
    It say something like the setting of the application is wrong and contact the author

  • Installing an AIR application with PackageMaker on OS X

    Hello,
    My company has signed the redistribution agreement and I've been working on building an installer using the PackageMaker application built into Mac OS X.
    I'm seeing behavior where the installer fails every other time that it is run. The output from .airappinstall.log is below.
    I've reproduced this behavior from the installer as well as by running the following command line:
    sudo /Applications/Utilities/Adobe\ AIR\ Application\ Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe\ AIR\ Application\ Installer -silent /MyApp.air
    Has anyone seen this behavior before?

  • Damaged AIR File, Error #1000

    Hello,
    This is my first post, but hopefully someone here will be able to help me.
    I am a Flex Developer who was just recently assigned to help out on a project that has gone bonkers.  The project had been going fairly well... but after the latest build the following messages comes up during installation on Windows XP.
    "Sorry, an error has occured.
    The application could not be installed because the AIR file is damaged. Try obtaining a new AIR file from the application author."
    Awesome!  All we need to do is get a new AIR file from the application author... oh wait... I AM the application author.  Grumble grumble.
    So I tried reinstalling the application, but this time I ran it with .airappinstall.log.  Here is what was output by the log.
    Starting app install of file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Administrator/Desktop/2009-11-30r33MW4.air
    UI SWF load is complete
    UI initialized
    Unpackaging to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\fla1D.tmp
    failed while unpackaging: [ErrorEvent type="error" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #1000" errorID=1000]
    starting cleanup of temporary files
    application installer exiting
    So, what exactly is this error?  Can anyone point me to a place where I might be able to look up what Error #1000 is?
    Don't worry I have done my homework,  I know there are a decent amount of posts about people recieving an "AIR file damaged" error.  I have looked and read through them all, but when they run a log on the install it ends up being a different error...so the other posts are not entirely helpful.
    I am guessing something must have been changed in the most recent build but I was just placed into this project so I do not have much knowledge of previous versions.  Any hints of suggestions about common things to check that might be causing this would be greatly appreciated.

    It might help if you can get the installation log and post
    it.
    To get the log, create a file .airappinstall.log in your home
    directory.

  • Best publish target, for creating intermediate SWF for iOS & Android?

    We're getting ready to create a build system which can compile and deploy our app for testing as both iOS IPA and android APKs, so we'd like to start with a SWF, which we compile from FLA in Flash CS5.5, and then we will compile the swf with adt, to both IPA and APK formats.  We'll probably use AIR 3.0 for compiling.
    Which publish target should we select in Flash CS5.5? Is there a target we can use which will give us an AIR-compatible SWF, but not give us anything we dont need? (ie no IPA, no APK, and no AIR app?   Selecting Flash Player 10.2 doesn't work because we need AIR-specific classes such as SQLite. Should I use AIR 2.6 publish profile?  Does the "profiles" (TV, etc) matter in this case? I just want a SWF, not any extra artifacts.
    Of course, what I would *REALLY* like is a commandline FLA compiler... Adobe.. pretty please? I <3 build automation tools.
    Thanks for any info you might have!

    Update: I've tried multiple video files, using StageVideo instead of FLVPlayback, and nothing is working. The iPad just sits there with a blank screen.
    I've tried using AIR 13, AIR 14, and looking at the .ipa file size changing when I include different video files, it appears to be sending the video file to the iPad, it just won't play anything. I've added loads of event listeners to a FLVPlayback object with trace statements, this is what I see when I debug via USB (again, it works perfectly as a swf on my laptop):
    Waiting for Player to connect...
    [SWF] videotest.swf - 1848 bytes after decompression
    onFlvPlayback_PROGRESS()
    NaN% loaded
    onFlvPlayback_STATE_CHANGE()
    flvPlayback.state == VideoState.BUFFERING
    onFlvPlayback_BUFFERING_STATE_ENTERED()
    onFlvPlayback_READY()
    flvPlayback.source: lft.mp4
    metaDataObj.canSeekToEnd: undefined
    metaDataObj.cuePoints: undefined
    metaDataObj.audiocodecid: mp4a
    metaDataObj.audiodelay: undefined
    metaDataObj.audiodatarate: undefined
    metaDataObj.videocodecid: avc1
    metaDataObj.framerate: undefined
    metaDataObj.videodatarate: undefined
    metaDataObj.height: 720
    metaDataObj.width: 1280
    metaDataObj.duration: 21.674666666666667
    onFlvPlayback_STATE_CHANGE()
    flvPlayback.state == VideoState.STOPPED
    onFlvPlayback_STOPPED_STATE_ENTERED()
    onFlvPlayback_COMPLETE()
    onFlvPlayback_STATE_CHANGE()
    flvPlayback.state == VideoState.REWINDING
    So it is getting the metadata, sees the height, width, duration, codecs, etc.
    It is buffering the video, and decides it is ready, then without ever playing, it goes to stop, and says it is complete, and auto-rewinds and just gets stuck there. (if I turn off auto-rewind and add a play button, it goes to the rewinding state, and hangs, just like it does when auto is on).
    I've seen there are some fixes for video issues in the later versions of the AIR runtime, but those are not available in my Flash CC install, can anyone link me how to add them?
