Alarm Application working on Emulator not on device

Hiii
This is a reminder application. The user will set a alarm for a particular time and when the current time equals the alarm time alert message will be displayed.
When the Applications starts a thread will be started where the alarmtime is read from the rms and i find the difference between the current time and alarmtime in milliseconds and schedule a task using a time. the task to be performed is a Alert message. The application works perfectly fine on the Emulator, where as not in the device. the target device is Nokia6600 .
Can any body help me please?

Hi Everyone,
I have been trying to build this application and avail users to download it from a WAP page.
Now, initially for testing purpose I managed to transfer it on my mobile device which is a Sony Ericsson Z800 using a data cable.
The application downloads 2 images from an Apache Tomcat web server and displays it on user screen. I have created this application using MIDP 2.0. I managed to install it on my mobile device and now when I m trying to send request to the server I wont get any response ? The request itself is not reaching to the web server.
Strangely it works when I give a static path from my mobile browser like: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080/servlet?param1=x&param2=y but when the same path is accessed from installed application it wont work :-(. Its a static IP so there is no problem with changing of IP Address.
Please note that I have transferred only the jar file. Does that make any difference ?
Please guide me as to where I m going wrong..

I have posted my code in other thread if you would like to have a look at it.
I m using 3G to access my webserver. Oh yeah, I m using pure HTTP and not WAP-HTTP since I have changed the configuration.
But, as I said previously I had no problems doing the samething from the same device although I didnt send any data, just something like pinging the web server and getting a reply in form of say " works1","works2" and so on....

5.7.1 Command rejected - EPrint / Works from laptops not mobile devices

I have a new HP6500A Plus Printer and have trouble using EPrint with 3 mobile devices (Blackberry, Samsung & iTouch). I get an error stating "5.3.0 Other mail system problem - '5.7.1 Command rejected'. The process works fine when I send an email to print from my 2 laptops. The ePrint Center records the emails that come in from my laptops but do not list the emails sent via my 3 mobile devices. I followed all the typical/basic things - printer on, network on, correct address, no restrictions on who can sent printer emails, etc. Any suggestions on how to get the mobile devices to work?

Photosmart 2575 stopped working gone offline not in device manager

Hi my hp photosmart has suddenly stopped working.
1. I am using vista
2. It does not show up in device manager
3. Printer icon has green tick on it and says offline. When I try to print the printer icon appears in the tray. When I right click and open up HP Photosmart 2570 series my documents are queing but nothing is happening. It says "error printing" and when I click restart it says "error restarting sent to printer"
4. I cannot find the program to uninstall/install
5. I have tried a system restore.
Please Help

I had a similar problem. I solved it by installing the Apple Bonjour printing service:
http://www.apple.com/fr/support/bonjour/
and use it to discover and add the printer... (you can then get rid of the old greyed-out printer)
It's based on the mDNS protocol (aka ZeroConf, aka Bonjour) that the HP Photosmart supports.
No need for a fixed IP or fidling with DHCP with this...
You should be able to see your printer in your webbrowser by simply typing http://hp02cd83.local/ (or whatever your printer name is)

Embedded region in seeded application works locally but not on server.

I embedded a region in seeded page and works fine if I test it from Jdev, so I put the files on server
steps involved:
imported the custom region to MDS, --was successfull
zipped the class files under <jdev>\myclasses\mac\oracle\apps\ar\extrainfo\ and ftped (bin mode) it under $JAVA_TOP/mac/oracle/apps/ar/extrainfo/
bounced apache

Sorry, I can't know what the exact problem was. Many things don't start in Windows Safe Mode, like third-party security software and included security tools like Windows Defender. The iPad also no longer works with celluar data. I'm not sure what has happened. It was working fine a few hours ago. I have tried resetting it, ive restarted my browser etc. I tried to erase all data from my Ipad but I can't do that because it needs to sign into my Apple ID and use the Internet!

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Home Sharing not working between wireless PC's / devices and ethernet wired PC's on the same router.

Home Sharing is not working between wireless PC's / devices and ethernet wired PC's on the same router. I installed a new Verizon FIOS ActionTec MI424WR GigE wireless / ethernet router, replacing the original FIOS router. With the old router Home Sharing worked fine across and among all iOS and Windows wired and wireless devices. With the new router Home Sharing works between and among the Wired PC's but not between the wired PC's and the Wireless connected PC's or iOS devices. Home Sharing also works between and among the wireless connected PC's and iOS decices but not between them and the wired PC's.
Only the router was changed. No changes were made to any of the devices except all were updated with the latest version of iTunes 10.7.0.21 and the iSO devices were updated to iOS vrsion 6.01. Three PC's are wired and all are running Windows 7. There also is a Windows Home Server connected to the router by ethernet port. It does not run iTunes but does provide WebDAV services to my iOS devices. This works fine. Two PC's are wireless, one running Windows 7 and one running Windows 8. All of the PC's are connected to the same (new) router via it's ethernet ports and it's wireless access point. Two of the wired PC's are connected via a high-speed ethernet hup that is connected to the router (Home Sharing works fine between the two PC's on the hub and the PC on the router). All wired and wireless devices on the router are visible and members of the router's Home/Office virtual network.
All of the PC's are visible in the Windows network and all shared files are accessable from all PC's, both wired and wireless.
Obviously the router seems to be the issue, something between the ethernet and the wireless access point components. I checked the settings and found nothing that would prevent Home Sharing between the wired and wireless devices. There is no setting that isolates the wireless network. I have done the following:
Read the router user manual and checked all the settings
Rebooted the router and tested.
Turned off the router's firewall and tested.
Home Sharing is turned on all the devices and all use the same Apple ID.
Restarted iTunes and tested.
Verified iTunes is "Allowed" in each PC's firewall.
Again, I can Home Share between the two wireless PC's but not between either of the wireless PC's and any of the wired PC's. I can Home Share between my iPads and iPhones and either of the two wireless PC's but not with any of the wired PC's. I can Home Share between any of the wired PC's but not between any wired PC and a wireless PC or iOS device.
I hope someone may have had a similar problem and has a fix suggestion. I'm stumped! I have a;so contacked ActionTec and awaiting an answer.

Cclick Yes
Click on the IGMP Proxy
Select Disable
Click Apply

Application works for one user but not another......Please help

Hi just wondering if anyone can help.
We have an app (get i_player automator) that we have been successfully using for the last year or so. The other day our internet connection died mid download and the app stopped responding.
Rather than force quit darling hubby did something fancy with the terminal window (not entirely sure what but I remember kill, bash and gerlp??).
Anyway since then the app will start appear in the doc (bouncing happily up and down) but no window will open. This happens just on my log in. If I ctrl click the application is listed as not responding.
The app works correctly for other users on the same machine.
I have tried the following to no avail
Turning off and on again
Deleting the app and re installing
Any ideas?

Most applications work user-per-user, maybe your darling has to do some more of that magic in the Terminal on your account?
