ALE with Same Client

Is it possible to use ALE with Same client...when PO created and send message to IDOC. Than come back the same client to create the SO? As i know, it is possible to go for another client or system. I am not sure is it possible in the same client and also any limition about this?
For eg:-
A purchase order is created in company code 1000.
Then using ALE,the system will generate an Idoc to transfer data to another company code 2000.And the system will generate corresponding CustmerOrder(SO) in company code 2000.

Configuring the ALE/Idoc scenerio for the same client is very much possible, because you would defining the same client/port but might used different message type. But so you think this will help you rather than that if the clinet is same rather than configuring the ALE/IDOC setting why not write a piece of ABAP code finding the proper USER EXIT/INCLUDE .i.e. when a PO is created with company code ABC then that USEREXIT will trigger which will send those data to another company code. The user exit can easily be identified by the functional guys.
Mostly the ALE/Idocs scenerios are used when we have multiple clients or multiple system.

                         My requirement is, we need to design SAP BI data flow in ECC 6.0 with same client only. Now I am designing the BI data models as per the requirement of SD sales reports in ECC 6.0.For this, when i was extracting the data from SD datasource(2lis_11_vahdr) in RSA3 its showing 0 records,actually as per VA01 some records are available but its not showing in the RSA3.
                          My doubt is , is it possible to extract the data from ECC 6.0 and load the data to the datatargets and get the SAP BI reports in ECC6.0 with the same client.
                          Please suggest as soon as possible.

It is possible to load the data from the same client. It all depends on the source system and the client which has been connected in the RFC connection.

How to upload data from flat to ztables with in the same client by idocs

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement in IDOCS, I need to create a custom IDOC .I am working on IDES 4.6c. The reqirement is , there are ztables with header and item data. say for example Authors and Books. I need to upload data from flat file which is available in presentation server of the same client, which will updated in ztables by using idocs. For this i need to do ale settings also. The client is 800. There is no other client available. With in the same client i need to do the above stuff.
For this requirement how to approach (step by step) to accomplish.

This is the procedure.
create segments using we31. <b>don't forget to relaese it</b>
create idoc using above segments using we30 <b>don't forget to relaese it</b>
create message type using we81
create function module to upload data using se37
maintain process code using we42
create partner profiles we20.
In the fm module itself write the code for downloading the data from presentation server by GUI_DOWNLOAD.
Then update the database tables directly by insrt through other internal table in the same client itself.

SCCM Client entry in SCCM console for new VM with same hostname

HI,
I have Hyper V server with several VM's running with server OS. Recently I have stopped 2 VM's with OS windows server 2008 & 2012 & recreated new VM's with same hostnames & IP addresses. Problem is I am unable to install SCCM client on New VM
as old enrty lies in SCCM consle with client status Active. I tried to uninstall the client from console, But its showing "can not ping".
So is it ok to simply delete this entry from console so new entry will come in front?

You can delete the object in the SCCM Admin Console,you can also install the client manually and then they will register again creating a new object with the same name.

Can i use the same client like 080 for my ALE configuaration ?

Configuring is a Cross-Client(Client Independent) activity.
Check whether you have necessary access/authorizations to Configure.
This should be always done in Development client.

JPEG images burned to DVD are viewed fine on my Macbook Pro, but my clients PC says the disk is blank. Have tried several times now with same result. Please help.

The JPEG images I have edited on my Macbook Pro and then burned to DVD view fine on my computer. But when I give the same disk to my client with a PC (Windows Vista), his computer says the disk is blank. I have tried several times, first I burned the entire folder to the DVD, then tried burning just the images (not in a folder), and I also tried renaming the disk (shorter name, six letters), but always with the same result. His PC says the disk is blank and needs to be formated.

ALE in same system.

Is it not able to execute ALE in the same system but in different clients. I tried it but there is some probelm with the IDocs passed. I do the configuration in client X in the same system with multiple clients. Since ALE configuration is cross client all the changes appear in client Y. I configure everything correctly and use MATMAS as the message type. I create the material through MM01 and send the material through BD10. The IDoc get transferred without any problems. But after I get the IDOC in client Y being the recieveing system it says that the Partner profile is not present. But if i try to distribute the model view once again it says that it is already done...Is ALE not possible within clients of the same machine.. or where am i doing wrong...

Thanks a lot for the inputs... i did generate the partner profile in the recieving system as well now the error has chaged i recieve the IDoc without any problems and also i can see the data in the segment. I am using MATMAS as the message type and in the segment E1MARAM and E1MAKTM i can see the data as well but now the status code in WE02 is '51' which says that the Application Document not posted and gives additional information saying that the Function Module AFS_RETAIL_ARTMAS_IDOC_INPUT is not allowed. I am on version 4.7 .anybody knows how to get out from here ?

Multiple Message Mapping with same Idoc, Sender and Receiver

We have one Interface sending INVOIC02 Idoc from SAP R3 4.6C to SAP R3 4.6C through XI 3.0.
On Inbound side we are using SAP standard configuring one Partner Profile with inbound INVOIC MM process code INVL.
In customizing, we have defined one invoic type for the EDI partner.
Now we have to integrate another type of inbound invoic, but in customizing it's not possible to assign more than one invoic type to the same Partner EDI.
So, we have a restriction in SAP 4.6C inbound standard. On the other hand, we can't desing two Integration Scenarios in XI 3.0 with the same idoc INVOIC02, for the same sender service and receiver service because Integration Directory doesn't allow to create two interface determination for them.
We are thinking on using header mapping in XI (receiver agreement to avoid use the same EDI partner profile for the inbound invoic, but we can't assign the same client and technical system with the same ALE Logical System in SLD for two different business systems.
Does anybody have any solution for this problem, SAP side or XI side?.

Hi!
In XI configuration - interface determination, you can specify more than one Inbound interface. If you identify more than one, you get a new column where you specify condition (xpath) for selecting between the different inbound interfaces.
In 4.6c, you can have more than one inbound invoic for the same EDI partner profile, if you separate between them using message function. Just add a new inbound parameter with a different message function, or copy the one you have and specify another message function, i,e. "DIFF".

Data Conversion rules for EDI processing (same client IDOC processing)

I am trying to post IDOCS in same client.Its a PO->SO process.
ie. there will be 1 outbound and inbound idoc in same client using EDI processing.
I am using Data Conversion using Rulesfor converting sender fields.
The LIFNR and PAORG od segment E1EDKA1 has to be converted.
For ALE processing, the Data conversion is been done correctly.
But no conversion is done for EDI.
Can anybody help me with this problem ?

My requirement is , when the customer create sales order i want create one more sales order with some changes in same client.
i am using the inbound and outbound idoc with orders message type and process code sd10 for outbound idoc , and i have created new process code for inbound .
and i have created logical sys for client 030 and one more dummy logical sys with ports .then generating the partner profile everything ok.
i am trying to distribute model view while i got error ,model view has not been modified reason is distribution model currently being processed.
Outbound IDoc was created and inbound IDoc was created with status 56(IDoc added with errors ).
means my function module is not triggered.
How can i solve this prob.
have any alternative code for this object.
please help me.

Hi Laxman,
For sales orders, I would not use the ALE distribution model. Just create the inbound and outbound partners directly (as per an EDI situation).
You say that the partner profile is generated ok, but there must be a problem on the inbound partner if you are getting a 56 error.
Check out the inbound processing for your inbound partner (and check your idoc control record to make sure that the partner number in the idoc corresponds to the partner you have configured).
If you still have problems, please post some more specifics.

I know how to change the description of a material using ALE Change Pointers.
I will give the following few steps
1) Tcode BD61---> check the change pointers activated check box
save and goback.
2) Tcode BD50---> check the MATMAS check box save and comeback.
3) Tcode BD51---> goto IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01 select the checkbox save and comeback.
4) Tcode BD52---> give message type : matmas press ok button.
select all what ever you want and delete remaining fields.
save & come back.
5) 5) go to Tcode MM02 select one material and try to change the description and save it
it will effects the target systems material desciption will also changes
6) goto Tcode SE38 give program Name is : RBDMIDOC and Execute
give Message type : MATMAS and Executte
