Ale with user created message type

Hello,
I have a created a segment ,idoc and message type and done the assignment of Idoc with message type also.
i have to send the material 800 to 810 client through ALE.
By using the Standard Message type MATMAS i m getting the material on 810 client.
But when i am using my message type ie ZMAT_MSG in tcode BD10 on client 800 to send the material it is saying error that message type does not exist.
I am not getting the problem
Or it is not possible to use your message type to send the material through Tcode BD10.You have to always use the standard message type MATMAS.
If yes then how to use our own message type to transfer the data from client 800 to 810.

Hi Vasu,
Please try this.
1. Create distribution model (BD64) for message type MATMAS_BAPI.
2. Create inbound partner profile (WE20) for message type MATMAS_BAPI and IDoc type MATMAS_BAPI01 and process code BAPI.
3. Create IDoc ports (WE21)
4. Setup RFC destination (SM59).

I m working in version 11.1.2.2 in IE 9. I have created a simple calculation script as below to test the @Return essbase function.

I read a thread in forum saying the @Return function works only with ERROR as message type for vesrion 11.1.2.1
How to use Essbase @RETURN function to displayed messages in 11.1.2.1
I have tried using WARNING and INFO , both doesnt seem to work even in 11.1.2.2, Only ERROR as message type works.
Has anyone experienced the same with version 11.1.2.2 as well? Is this still a bug?

Creating Message Type

what are the possible way to create message type and how you link the message type with idoc type.

Hi Senthil,
There is a transaction code for link the message type to the idoc type using the T.code we82.
There we can assign the our own message type and Idoctype (basic type) we can assign. If u want to extension the basic type we have the option and we must release it.

Bapi for creating message type in a sales order

Hi, I am involved in a IS-MAM project for an italian company.
I need to create or add a message output type in a sales order in a complex batch program. I thought to use a bapi technicality; in particular BAPI_ADMGMTSO_CHANGE in order to change the document.
How can I create message type in the order? Can I use the same bapi or I need of an other one?

Retain standard SAP order type after copying with user defined order type

Hello SAP Gurus,
We have a requirement of retaining the standard SAP order types after copying with User defined order types. But the issue is we don't want to see the standard SAP order type such as PM01, PM02 in production system while using transaction like IW31 etc.
Is there anybody who has answer to retain these stanadard SAP order types without deleting from system configuration?

When you F4 on the order type field in IW31 you will get the popup showing the order type list. At the top of this list is a button with a green "+" sign (Insert in personal list).
You can use this button to select your favourite list.
This function is available in most F4 drop-down lists.
However, you cannot set this setting for all users. You will need to write an ABAP program to do this.

"A message type comprises a data type that describes the structure of a message. For technical reasons, a data type alone is not sufficient to describe the instance of a message: Data types are defined in XML Schema as abstract types that are not yet tied to an element. You can only describe an instance of a message when you have specified a data type as an element type. Therefore, a message type defines the root element of a message"

Inbound Processing with reference to user defined Message type

I have created a segment with fields
Matnr
mbrsh
mtart
vpsta
maktx
meins
matkl(Total 7 fields)
I have created a idoc also and a message type and assign the idoc with message type.
Now i have set the communication partners also and created the distribution model with my message type and distributed also to the reciver side.
Now as it is not the standard message type like MATMAS so we cannot use the tcode BD10 to send the material.Instead of it i have to write the program to create the idoc for sending it.
So i have created the program for the generation of IDOC.
Upto here picture is clear.
In the case of Inbound in standard we use the tcode BD11 to get material but same thing as we are not using the Standard Message type we have to create our program.
Now in this case i have written a function module and that function module is attached to the process code and process code is attached to the message type and message type is attached to the partner profile.
i have done the assignments in we57 and bd51 also.
Now idoc is created in the inbound side with status 70.
but i am not getting how to upload this data in standard tables Mara and Makt.
So that if i go to tcode MM02 and give the respective Matnr ,it should display that material.
First tell me what i have done is the right procedure or i have to make somechanges somewhere .
Secondly if you please give me the function module code for inbound processing to upload the data in this standard table( mara ,makt) so that material is created in the reciver side also.i will be very thankful to you.
I am only using seven fields in creating the material.

i have done the same thing and used same parameter in import ,export ,tables and exception tab.
i have written some code also .
But i am not getting the code to upload the data in the standard tables so that material should be get created automatically as soon as the data get uploaded
in tables.
Somewhere i have read that you have to use the BDC concept Call transaction method to upload the data.
But how to use the BDC code in Function module , i am not getting.
Please can you send any example of code for this task.

Creating message type in XI with imported objects

Hi,
I have imported an Idoc Structure into XI.
Now I need to create a message type with structure from imported Idoc + some additional fields.
Can some one tell me how to go about this. Because once I drag and drop the imported Idoc structure, I doesn't allow me to add any more fields during message type creation.
Is there a different to way to achieve this.

Hi Kiran,
the Integration Builder supports two ways of modelling an interface. The first way is to build the required datatypes from scratch (with the datatype editor) then define (fault) message types using these datatypes and finally define the message interface.
The second way is to use an externally defined structure by importing an IDoc or RFC from an R/3 or an external DTD/XSD/WSDL from filesystem. Then define your Message Interface using the messages from the imported objects.
Currently there is nearly no support for mixing these two approaches as you have in mind (taking an externally defined structure as starting point, then enhance this structure within the Integration Builder).
The best workaround I can suggest to you, is import the IDoc, take the XSD which is displayed for it, download it to your local file system, edit it there (with notepad when you are an XSD expert, with some other tool like XML Spy otherwise) and upload the modified file as External Definition.
BTW: For this procedure you do not necessarily need to upload the IDoc to the Repository. As far as I know the R/3 also offers the possibility to generate an XSD representation for an IDoc (do not remember the exact way to go there).

ALE distribution model - one message type to more than one recipient

Hello colleagues,
currently I'm working on an integration project between one SAP system and an e-shop system. The communication is established through IDOCs ( both inbound and outbound ). There is another system ( POS ) which is already integrated
with SAP via IDOCs also.
   Now I'm facing the following problem regarding distribution of transactional IDOCs ( orders, deliveries, etc. ): when assigning one message type ( for example DESADV - Delivery: Shipping notification ) to more than one external system in ALE distribution model I receive a message alerting that one message type can be send to only one recipient.
The distribution model is as follows:
Model Views
   SAP to POS
      SAPDEV ( the SAP system )
         POS ( the external POS system )
            DESADV
   SAP to E-SHOP
      SAPDEV ( the SAP system )
         E-SHOP ( the external e-shop system )
            DESADV
   Well, the system message is clear and I did the obvious: create a complete copy to the original message type and than assign it to the E-SHOP system ( the original message type is already used in integration between SAP and POS ).
As you can see I have found a workaround already but I think that it comes natural to SAP to communicate with other systems and to exchange same kind of documents to those systems and I can't believe that there isn't a standard solution for situation like this.

I believe when ePrint server has received the email, it made the necessary settings and configured the job for printing and then it went for "Reply All" option. So here it cannot send the print job to your personal email ID and the error came up.
The only option I can think of is add the printer email ID to your email contact list and give it a name like MyPrinter so you can remember easily , just like email contacts are added in Outlook.

ALE - error in custom message type creation

HAI friends,
I am new to ALE IDOC, i am creating custom message type for custom table . i created segment, idoc, message type and executed outbound program . in outbound client, status is dispatch ok. so problem in outbound.
my problem is in inbound . i created one function module idoc_input_zmsg. In test tool for idoc processing ie. TCODE WE19, i clicked my segment and then i clicked the inbound function module button . In function module text box my own function module idoc_input_zmsg is available. but when i click ok button, i am getting the following error.
"INTERFACE FOR FUNCTION IDOC_INPUT_ZMSG IS INCORRECT".

How do I use multiple messages with CAN CREATE MESSAGE?

I'm an old hand at DAQ, but new to CAN.
I need to configure the CAN interface without using MAX or a DBC file directly (because i want the user to configure EVERYTHING in one place, and MAX doesn't handle my other channels).
I can provide the message IDs, channel start bits, etc., etc., by importing a DBC file myself.
So I'm looking at the CAN CREATE MESSAGE vi. I can make it work, using a single message, and a few channels on that message.
But how do I add another message to that task? Or do I create another task to handle a different message?
What's the difference between CAN CREATE MESSAGE and CAN CREATE MESSAGEex? I can't find any in the help docs.

you can’t programmatically add messages/channels to an already existing task
So I can't create a task with more than one message, and I can't add a message to an existing task.
That sounds like I have to have a separate task for each message I want. That means separate READ operations at DAQ time. I hope the overhead doesn't cost too much (I'm doing a thousand other things at DAQ time).
I have an RT card in the system I'm designing. It's only using about 5% of the CPU time (PID controlling an engine). Will NI-CAN stuff work on the RT? How do I physically connect it? Is CAN just RS-232 at fast baud rates, or are there more electrical differences?

Transaction/Program to create message type LIP076 Idocs

Hi Idoc Experts,
Can you please let me know the T-code/program to send MD61(weekly forecast) data thru the idocs.
FYI- I am planning to use message type LIP076 with basic type SOPGEN01
Example: BD14 T-code to send the Vendor master details thru idoc.
I am looking for a similiar transaction/program, so that it will create LIP076 idocs with MD61 details.

You can also check the documentation in the below path and when you execute it it takes you to transaction SXDA. I am not authorized in my system, may be you can check more detailed in your system about the transaction..

Http 403 when creating message type

Hi,
I have a bpel process that invokes a secure web service (https://....?wsdl). To be able to create the partner link and execute the process, I had to copy the certificate in two directories and import the certificate in jdeveloper and soa suite.
So, now I'm able to invoke the secure web service. The problem appears when I want to create a new Message Type using the secure web service. I try to choose the ws types and this error appears: "Error reading message parts! HTTP connection error code is 403"
I tried creating my own schema but when using xpath expression there are problems with the namespaces. So I would need to create the variable using the original wsdl.
Does anybody know what is happening? How can I solve this issue?

Need to createchange pointer with a different Message type

Hii
Existing Scenario :
when i do some changes to the material characteristics through a z- transaction change pointers are created in the tables BDCP and BDCPS with message type ZVCRUMAT
Required Scenarion :
Now when i change the material characteristics i need change pointers to be created with message type ZMATCHG .
Where should i do the changes to get this done .Please help .

Hello,
First activate change pointers for message type ZMATCHG using BD50. Then identify the fields for creating change pointers using BD52.
