Alerts for Reports

Since I am the primary contact for my own site, reports generated go to me.  As well, I get messages of Warning or higher for my site via my Notifications Delivery Rule.  I have a couple of scheduled reports that go on the 1st of each month.  So this morning I received 6 emails.  Of them 2 were the reports, 2 were Event: Notice that a report was created, and 2 were Event: Warning that a report had been sent.  This seems like a lot of overkill.
1) How do I control who gets the Event: Notice that a report was created?  Better yet, how do I turn that off?  I'm not sure why I got the message since I'm set for Warning or higher only and this is just a Notice.
2) Can I change the report sent from a Warning level to something lower, like Notice? 
3) How do I control who gets the Report: Sent messages?  Can I turn them off?

Hi Sdeftink,
On the last tab of the "Create Report" window, it provides a check box for "Notify Me", you can uncheck this and then leave the "Report Recipient" empty.
Unfortunately, at this time we don't have a way of changing the report notification level, I'll make note of this for a future release.

    I have a excel with multiple
         sheets with data as shown below
    SHEET 1
    A 1
    B 2
    C 3

    query is splitted into 3 categories
    I want to have a formula to do math calculation such that data of "A" of SHEET 1 is  calculated with "A" of SHEET2 irrespective of the location of "A".
    When I include SHEET3, the formula should automatically identify the location of "A" or "B" or "C" and give the result corresponding to A, B or C. Since I want to bifurcate daily report and output printed. I want to use another
    excel for output. How to link multiple sheets of one excel and print the output of above in
         another excel?
    Assume, I have 4 SHEETS,  "SHEET 1", "SHEET 2", "SHEET 3" and "SHEET 4". Math calculation need to be done using all 4 sheets. If

  • ISSUE Sharepoint 2013 databases for reporting services on the second server SQL 2012

    I have server A: Operating system windows 2012 standard, SQL server 2012 standard
    instance: Sharepoint contains data for sharepint
    instance: Reporting should be contain databases for reporting
    Server B:
    Windows server 2012 standard contains installation Sharepoint 2013
    Sharepoint works (without reporting services), it is OK - databases are located on server A:
    My issue is:
    When I have installed reporting services on server B, I have already installed SQL server 2012 on server B, it works.
    I am able to create report in report builder adn place it in to sharepoint.
    But I would like to use only one full SQL machine on server A:
    When I reconfigure repoting settings on server A in central administration - manage service aplications,
    On the SQL server A in instance reporting , there is automatically created databases. It is no problem.
    But the first difference is, when I want to manage service aplication for reporting  in
    Provision Subscriptions and Alerts, there is information
    SQL Server Agent state cannot be determined
    When I want to create report in report builder, I have issue:
    server A-7380mw016\reporting it means server A with full SQL server:
    The Test of connection was successful
    Then I have clicked test connection
    I have recieved this screen with fail: Logon faild for user NT Authority\anonymous logon
    My account belongs to SQL admin on server A (A-7380mw016\reporting) I do not know it is not possible to create report, when it is possible to test connection in the first step and in the second step, there is problem...
    Please, can somebody help me?

    Since you are getting an Anonymous Logon error, it appears there may be a problem passing your credentials to the SQL Server Agent Service. This would indicate a Kerberos issue. See this thread for details:

    Tips from the video:
    We are connecting to Reporting services using Kerberos when using Reporting Services in SharePoint integrated mode
    For the account using reporting services, we just need a dummy SPN. We go to Attribute editor tab in AD for RS account. And then we will be enabled with Delegation tab.
    In Delegation tab. I we are using claims to windows token, we need to use "Trust this user for delegation to specified services only"
    There you have 2 options: "Use Kerberos only": It means I only want to delegate in the situation where the service that is doing the delegation actually has the Kerberos ticket to start with
    "Use any authentication protocol" When we need protocol transition (like from NTLM to claims for intra farm communication)
    We need to delegate this to SQL server.

  • Failed to generate Alert for JMS Sender adapter

    Hi Folks,
                  My scenario is JMS to IDOC..
    I have configured the Alert rules and the alerts are working fine for the Integration engine errors.. and apart from the alert rule there is one more alert rule configured for capturing the alerts of the adapter engine..
    When i provide the queue name as invalid one .. i am able to receive the alerts for the same via alert rule of adapter engine..
    When I force to make the channel to error with the invalid headers of RFH2 (with correct queuename) the channel status is showing error ..but interestingly no alert for the same...
    Now My question here is how to test the generation of  the alerts by forcing the JMS sender channel to error. ? 
    I already checked the report SXMSALERT_LOGREADER for verification but no luck..
    Can some one throw light on this?
    Forgot to mention i am using IBM MQ ...

             Thanks for your reply...I am fetching the RFH headers using UDF via Dynamic config only..
    Apart from the configurations errors mentioned for alerts(as i am success in this case)...I am testing if there any data related errors like wrong RFH Headers for JMS sender adapter though the channels showing error status in this case ...but its not throwing the alerts...
    I want to know whether the alert will be triggered for this or not...if not why ..as it should..
    if yes i am unable to get.. what troubleshooting can be done for this...
    if you have any other cases (aprt from config issues)for alert trigger...and also apart from RFH headers case..can u pls share..so that i will try the same..
    MY only question here is why the adapter not trigering the alerts when wrong RFH Headers are sent along the message..but showing the channel status as red..(is it a bug ?)

  • Raising 2 alerts for 1 exception

    I am working on raising an alert using Alert framerwork
    with exception reporting and reporting agent .
    I have a query ( has projects ID & Approavl ate as free chars.) where we want to raise the alerts for the projects approved in last 30 days. I have defined a exception for this and it is working fine.
    I also  created a reporting agent on this query linking to alert categories. Rep. agent has Project ID and Approval date in the "Drilldown charecterstics"
    Problem:
    Query has only one exception , but when I run the reporting agent it is raising two alerts .
    Appreciate your help.

    I have Two Management Server, every one manage about 100 server, when one Management Server goes down unexpected, I receive 100 Alert for 100 Server Health Service Heartbeat Failure.
    My Question, why when the Management Server down, it send that all Managed agent Health Service Heartbeat Failure?
    Is there a way to change this?

    SCOM 2012 agent will autofailover when primary server is down. You can check the failover management server by using the following powershell cmdlet:

  • Cannot Clear Critical Alert for Physical Standby Databases

    10.2.0.4.0 Grid Control monitoring 10.2.0.4.0 databases and standby databases with 10.2.0.4.0 agents.
    The standby databases are running on Xen guests. The O/S is Red Hat 4 Advanced Server.
    I had a failure of Xen guest on Saturday that caused me to have to rebuild the standby servers. EM Grid Control successfully verifies the configurations and the status is normal for both physical standby databases. (A rebuilt logical standby database shows no alerts.)
    Grid Control database targets page shows a single critical alert for each physical standby database. The alert is for "number of missing media files is 4". The metric graph shows the count as 0 since before the rebuilds. I cannot clear the alerts from the Critical Alerts page. Grid Control reports "The selected alert(s) cannot be manually cleared. They will clear automatically once the metric is no longer in a critical or warning state.".
    Any suggestions?

    The result of the query on both standby databases is '0'. The metric graph also shows the value at '0' since before rebuilds.
    And the OMS db and agents have been reset several times since I posted this.

  • Alert for SCEP Clients at risk

    I've got some SCEP Clients in my Environment which are listed in the Endpoint Protection Dashboard with Status "At risk". These are Clients which were offline for an amount of time and now report an old Update Definition. Normally these
    Clients get's updated and disappear from the Dashboard.
    However in some case, the Clients Fails to get the newest update, and there are in our Network without being compliant. Is it possible to create an alert for Clients which doesn't have an up-to-date endpoint protection definitions (Those with Status "At
    risk").
    Now, i Need to manually check the Dashboard every morning if there are some new Clients with the Status at risk.

    I haven't done anything with alerts and SCEP, what I have done is create Device Collections with a membership rule based upon certain states of the SCEP client. I have a collection for Virus Definitions 3-7 days old, and 7+ days old, SCEP installation
    failed and SCEP Policy Application failed.
    On my collections with old definitions I deploy the full definition update package. I update the package source once a day with powershell, and have the package set to redistribute once a day. Alerts for deployment thresholds are pretty easy to create, so
    if the extra remediation of definitions doesn't fix non compliant computers, you can get alerts on those that fail...
    I know the above isn't quite the solution you was looking for, but perhaps it can help.

While inspection of the machines or Rounding in the maintenance plant , Maintenance user observes some faults in machines, he wants to make an order for correction of that fault. Generally here its not affecting on Production , He wants to Plan the work on Weekends for example every Sunday the production was stopped, in that day he wants to make correction actions on faulty machines. he found the fault on Monday and he wants to reminder on Friday or Saturday for allocating the manpower, materials etc, how i have to map in sap and how i can get the alerts for a particular equipment ? and in which T.Code i can get the List of corrective maintenance machines and pending machine list, and who will allotted the person for doing that corrective activity. please help me in this scenario its very essential for me. i am confusing for getting the reports. why i am asking all these things its my first implementation.

    you may go for any options.
    1) You can trigger the work flow for intimating the responsible person as soon as notification created.
    2) Create the notification with future date (as per your sunday;s date) then you can view all notification in IW29 which are pending for order .
    3) You can do it automatically to get the list of all notification  which are pending ,by Background  job which will run on every saturday  and you can get the list in responsible persons mail box.

    For raising the alert related to Adapter specific you need to create alert rule in RWB and select the adapter option and then select the adapter for which u want to raise an alert.
    To configure your alerts, proceed as follows:

    i am configuring alerts for sending mails . i am on XI 7.0 SP 2.i am not able to find an option like internal processing in ALRTCATDEF settings configurations.
    Can this be the reason why mails are not getting send.

    To send an EMAIL, assign an EMAIL ID to the corresponding user in the transaction SU01 and then set up SCOT and you can send emails when the ALERT is triggered.
    Once you have configure Alerts, you will get the Alerts into ALERT INBOX in RWB of the user. To also get the email, the following needs to be done,
    1. In SU01 -- Assign the Email ID for the Recipient of the ALERT.
    2. In , RWB>ALERT INBOX> PERSONALIZATION--> Time Independent Delivery and Email are selected.
    3. Finally, SCOT needs to be set up to send Emails. Check this for the same. You can ask your BASIS team to do this step.

    Also, In ALRTCATDEF, go to SETTINGS--> CONFIGURATION. By default, the option selected is INTERNAL PROCESSING. Select the option SMTP FORWARDING AS XML and give the email id. This will enable you to send an email alert whenever an error occurs in XI.
    Also, to test your Alerts, execute the report RSALERTTEST in SE38.

  • Solution Manager 7.1 SP10- Alert Management Reporting no input

    Hello there,
    we use the Solution Manager 7.1 SPS 10 for System Monitoring (with customer specific tempaltes and SAP Standard templates), the PI/PO MOnitoring an some other Features.
    By the way if we start the dashboard for "Alert Management Reporting" we don't get any data.
    Also we can't select the managed objects.
    In the "BI Diagnostic Center" there is the overview for the Reporting Scenarios. We see our Scenarios "System Reporting" and "End USer Experience Moitoring" active. When i select "Alert management Reporting" and try to click the Button "Scenario Setup" nothing happens.
    Is this a bug?
    Can anybody help me get the Alert Management Reporting Dashboard run?

    Please follow the instructions of the note 1862024.
    The ALM extractor is scheduled within the "Technical Monitoring"
    setup in SOLMAN_SETUP, step 7. Before in the scope selection you need to
    select the solution manager system. If the extractors are already
    active, you'll need to deactivate (also uncheck the "keep
    custom settings if checked), then restart SOLMAN_SETUP and re-activate.

    I am using ALSB 2.6
    Question 1.
    There is an option in the Alert Destination to send the message to?Reporting? (a selection of yes or no)
    This is documented to be: ?Reporting: If you specify Reporting, alerts are sent to the ALSB Reporting module and can be captured using a custom Reporting Provider that can developed using the Reporting APIs provider by AquaLogic Service Bus. This allows third-parties to receive and process alerts in custom Java code.?
    I have set-up the reporting module to use oracle. I created two tables:
    SQL> select * from tab
    2 /
    TNAME TABTYPE CLUSTERID
    WLI_QS_REPORT_ATTRIBUTE TABLE
    WLI_QS_REPORT_DATA TABLE
    When I create alerts to a destination with the ?reporting? option enabled, I do not see any data in the oracle tables. Regular ?report? actions do end up in these tables.
    Question 2: Where are alerts stored? I'm just curious on this one.
    Question 3: In a error handle at the route stage level, I placed an alert and a report action. I tried it twice with report first, then alert, and the reverse, alert than report. The alert comes out in the console, but the report action doesn't in either case.
    Can anyone shed some light on this? I'm just diving into ALSB and trying various things.

    1) Looks like the new Reporting Services does not run as a Windows Service so it's not listed in the "Configure Service Accounts" pulldown.  As a result, I don't see how to set the service account.  It's only assigned to an application pool. 
    I installed it into an existing application pool and that application pool "is" in the list and has a domain service account already assigned.
    2) Which users need to be in here in order to configure the "Provision Subscriptions and Alerts" screen?  I already have the farm admin account which is the account I use when running Central Admin.
    3) As mentioned in #1, I've installed Reporting Services into an existing application pool with other service apps.
    4) This link is for Reporting Services 2008 R2 which is very different install process.  But I did follow the SQL Server Reporting Services 2012 RC0 installation instructions and the Reporting Services is functioning correctly with no errors. 
    I'm just not able to configure the sceduling the alerting with interfaces with the SQL Server Agent.
