All done! Now - export issues :(

I just finished a pretty good (at least I think so) implementation of Crosses (tic-tac-toe). My very first java application, and it actually works!
Now to the final problem:
I'm using Eclipse, and I'm having trouble exporting this as a jar file. I found a tutorial for this using Eclipse, but that tutorial required me to have a main function... and since I built this app from visual classes (a kind of easy-click-to-create-components thing) I don't have any main function!
So I figured... I'll just create one and leave it empty. When I created the main function, the export-wizard could complete (because now It found "main") and tje jar file was created properly.
I still can't run it though.
What am I supposed to do here?

No, it's not an applet... when I try it in Eclipse it works. I run it as Java Bean in Eclipse.
Edit: I solved it.. needed to add a main function and some functionality to the main method... The coin fell down after a few minutes of Googling. (:

The frames are blank but indicates that there is a photo there. The majority of photos are blank but about a tenth are seen . i apparently need to retrace where they went but do not know how to get that done . can someone help please?

It would be difficult to tell you where to begin. If you moved photos around to different folders and didn't use Lightroom to move them, that would cause Lightroom to lose track of where they are. You have to remember that your images are not "in" Lightroom. Lightroom simply points to them wherever they are on your computer. All of the location information as well as the changes that you make to your images is stored in the catalog, which is a database. This catalog is central to the operation of Lightroom, and it's essential that you understand how it works and how to make it work for you. For all of those images that have "?" On them, or the folders that have the same, you will have to go through the process of locating them and showing Lightroom where they are located. With 18,000 images, and many of them missing, it might just be easier to start a new catalog and organize things properly from the beginning in that catalog.

It sounds like you have a credit card saved to your Apple ID payment information and you would like it to be removed from the account and set the payment method to None. You should be able to do this with the following article:

you update it by connecting it to a computer running itunes and starting itunes up on the computer clicking on it in devices and clicking on the update button in the content menu
if it say you have the latests then it's because you don't own an iphone 3gs but an iphone 3g where the version 4.2.1 was the last released
in that case you can't ever update it

At least Logic Pro 9 and Logic Pro X work correctly in Mountain Lion. Furthermore, Logic Pro X requires the latest OS X Mountain Lion version

DV PAL Widescreen 16:9 Bitmap Export Issue

I've searched past questions concerning this issue, but unfortunately past questions have not yielded a definitive answer or workable solution in my case.
I have a project shot in DV PAL Widescreen format on a Sony HVR-Z5E. My Sequence settings are: 720x576 DV1/DV PAL 16:9 (1.4587). Captured video is showing as 720x576 (1.4587) AVI 25fps.
I am creating a freeze frame by exporting to Windows Bitmap from the sequence. I am setting Media export aspect as DV PAL Widescreen 16:9 (1.4587) - the same as the source setting. In the output monitor source/output looks identical. So it looks like I am exporting correctly - I can only assume.
But having done the export, the bitmap image looks 4:3 with squeezed sides. Importing back into the sequence confirms this - it's 720x576 (1.094). I have exported using both Widescreen setting and Square Pixel setting, both produce 4:3 aspects.
Why is AME not exporting in the correct aspect according to the settings? Why is it maintaining a 4:3 aspect? How can I successfully export to Bitmap and retain the existing 16:9 and bring it back into my project?
Additional: I do not require my export to pass through any other software, just to capture the still frame and import it back into the project.

Thanks so much you guys - yep, that fixed it. The import after interpretation fixed the issue and I have a beautiful integrated freeze frame in the correct aspect. Thanks also Colin for the TIFF solution.

Thanks for the question. I see you have uninstalled iTunes and want this program back. Start with completely uninstalling iTunes if present and all of it's components in the order specified in the article below. Once this is done, download and install iTunes. If none of your data was modified in the iTunes media folder, then your data should be present upon installation.

Crossfades don't export smoothly

Hi everyone,
I've got a large multi-track edit of a pipe organ recording. We've edited the piece with cross-fading different takes to make one succinct song. I've found though that once I'm satisfied with my cross-fades, they don't always playback smoothly in a consistent manner. I've found also that they don't export well. When I play a two-track mix of the piece for CD, the edits either don't play smoothly or they have little clicks and pops in them.
Is it a latency issue? Any suggestions as to how to get these to export play smoothly?
Your immediate assistance is greatly appreciated as we need to get a master out quickly for an event.

No, they're each a second long or so. The timeline is merely zoomed out all the way out to show all the edits, which are crossfades into another take.
The creation of the crossfades are not the problem. Playing back the file is typically fine, the problem is exporting the mix. When the multitrack is mixed down to stereo, these transitions are very audible (clicks, pops, etc.) instead of the seamless transitions they should be.
Anyone know why this wouldn't export smoothly over these crossfades? It's never been a problem in Digital Performer or ProTools.

PP CS5.5 FLV To MP4 Export Issues / Problems

I just upgraded from Production Premium CS5 to CS5.5. I do a fair amount of converting/exporting of imported FLV files (downloaded from internet news sites) to H.264/AAC w/ MP4 wrappers using Premiere Pro (PP) and Adobe Media Encoder (AME). My equipment is a 1+ yr. old HP Win 7 Pro w/ an Intel i970 Quadcore, 12 Gb RAM and MSI nVidia GTX 470 GPU. I have never experienced any queue or export issues w/ CS5 (at least that I noticed), but I am experiencing noticeably degraded queue export and direct export problems with these files in CS5.5.
Description: (1) The queue export times for the exact same imported FLV clip(s) using the exact same sequence settings and H.264/MP4 export settings are noticeably slower in CS5.5 (sometimes 2x, depending on the export settings, e.g. using maximum render quality) than in CS5; (2) My MSI Afterburner GPU monitoring software indicates 5-10% GPU usage during queue/export in CS5, while indicating 0% GPU usage (flatline) in CS5.5; and (3) When I attempt to direct export these files using CS5.5 I get the following error message: "The source and output audio channels are not compatible or a conversion does not exist."
I suspect that it may have something to do with "conforming" anomalies when the FLV file is imported into PP, but I would put that squarely in the category of rank speculation on my part.
Has anyone experienced the same or similar problems or have any insight into what may be the problem(s)? Of course, thanks for any help/insight you can provide.

A better compression routine than H.264.
Is the quality better than H.264?
Yes.
Does this use an MOV wrapper?
Yes.
Also, would it import correctly into PPro?
Yes.
we would import files into PPro exported out of FCP and would get a red pixelated glitch during preview and export. Does this codec solve this problem as well if it is an MOV wrapper?
I don't know anything about FCP.
Sorry for all the questions, just want to get things right before diving into a new codec.
It's harmless, and free.
Download it and run some tests.

Exporting issues after 4.2 upgrade

Has anyone else experienced exporting issues after installing the 4.2 upgrade? It used to be a breeze but now I keep getting the message that a destination folder has not been specified even though I've done that. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Are you using an Export preset, or setting the Export up manually each time?

You can condense it down to a couple of options, shadowbeast, if you have a computer that is regularly maintained, not over-full, doesn't have much in the way of third party haxies installed, has had its directories checked recently, don't try to install the update while simultaneously running other software, etc etc. Trouble is in many cases such parameters aren't met!
Using an update situation as an opportunity to undertake the general maintenance that should be done every month or so on any computer , (even if it is a Mac!) helps to forestall many other problems, too, as well as helping to ensure that the update process goes smoothly.
I agree that the "Combo" update can be a good idea, sig, and I've usually done so in the past myself. In some circumstances it can certainly help to overcome problems that have arisen along the way. These days, however, the updates themselves tend to be very large (in this case the "combo" version is over 800 MB in size) and I'm very aware that many , many people use the smaller Software Update versions. These seem to be less problematic than they used to be in the past, though if anything is problematic after the installation downloading the Combo and re-installing it over the top of the SU version is a very good idea.
I've been trying the SU updates regularly myself since SL arrived on the scene, and all have gone smoothly. Mind you, this has been on a couple of pretty well maintained machines.

Reporting Export Issue from Taleo

Can anyone help? We have a work around for the Exporting Issues into Excel 2010 regarding figures and dates only reading as text, however, a new issue has arisen. In one field we have Aggregated Agencies assigned to any particular Job Code. In the legacy reports, every agency name exported into one cell in Excel, now they export into individual rows, this causes a report to be too long and there is no way to amalgamate them into one cell. Has anyone found a workaround for this?

No. That is not possible -anyway, reformatting erases everything on a drive.
You would have noticed that first.
You can download the [NTFS-3G driver|http://macntfs-3g.blogspot.com> which will let you read, write and even reformat the clients drive as NTFS on the Mac. All reasonably modern Windows PCs work with this disc format and you won't run into the file size limitations associated with FAT formatted drives.

All done! Now - export issues :(
