All links change color when click 1

HI, I've tried searching for this as many ways as I can think
of - so forgive me if this has been covered before.
I've made a template file and have a series of links to
various pages (I'm in the VERY beginning stages here). On my pages
that have this template applied, the links go to where they are
supposed to go BUT when I click on 1, all the links change to the
"visited" color.
Also, the "hover over" color appears only after at least 1 of
the links has been clicked, not before, and no color changes occur
on the home page.
I know this is very elementary but we all have to start
somewhere!
My newbie site is at
http://pages.suddenlink.net/dancingleaf/
p.s. If you look at the site and you notice "Web Design", I
don't really do web designing (duh). I'm making all this up just to
learn!

The link to the stylesheet on the page is broken -
<link href="file:///C|/Documents and Settings/Pam/My
Documents/My
Webs/css/dancingleaf.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"
/>
That usually happens when you link to a file that is OUTSIDE
the root folder
for the site. Is this one?
The reason you get the visited color is here -
<!--
a:visited {
color: #000099;
-->
</style><!-- InstanceEndEditable -->
<style type="text/css">
<!--
a:link {
color: #000099;
-->
</style></head>
That's what you told it to do - in fact, the link color and
the visited
color are the same.

  • Links change size when clicked

    I have a site done in Dreamweaver CS5 that the links in the navbar change size when clicked.  The bar is set to 95% but the links look like they are abound 50% when the mouse button is pressed.  All references to the size of the links in the HTML and CSS Page Properties are set to 95%. None of the other links properties; a, a:visited, a:hover, a:active, a:link, a:focus change the size.
    I've looked for several hours for solutions.  Anybody got any ideas?  BTW, this is my first site in Dreamweaver.

    I don't see any change in font-size in Firefox 3.6 on Win.  But your code is a bit confusing.
    Change this:
    a {
        font-size: 95%;
    a {
        font-size: 95%;
    a:visited {
        text-decoration: none;
        color: #960;
    a:hover {
        color: #2A3FFF;
        text-decoration: none;
    a:link {
        text-decoration: none;
        color: #626262;
    a:active {
        text-decoration: none;
        color: #626262;
        font-size: 95%;
    To this:
    a {font-size: 95%; text-decoration: none}
    a:link {color: #626262;}
    a:visited {color: #960;}
    a:hover {color: #2A3FFF;}
    a:active, a:focus {color: #626262;}
    The order in which link styles are defined matters in some browsers.  LiVHA is an easy memory device for link, visited, hover, active.

  • How To Make Shapes Change Colors When Clicking on them. Example Sheet Sales Data.xlsx template with Excel 2013

    My question is related to the Sales Data.xlsx template that comes with Excel 2013
    IN this workbook is a sheet named Sales Data. It has, 3 shapes. One each for each of the tab sheets in the workbook. When I click on the 'Sales Report' shape it selects the sales report tab. When you do this the shape changes color and the 'Sales Data' shape
    also changes color.
    However I'm unable to figure out how the colors are changing.
    I don't see any macros in the workbook/worksheet. Nor do I see any code for worksheet events. I don't see any modules in VBA either. I think what is happening is that there are 2 shapes. When you click on one, the one shape goes to the background and the
    other one comes to the foreground.
    I'm no sure how it's doing that.
    Can someone look at this template, Sales Data.xlsx that comes with Excel and explain how this functionality works?
    Thank You
    Keith Aul
    Keith Aul

    The shapes are exactly as I suspected, each of 3 sheets has 3 'navigation' shapes. The shape with the same name as the sheet has no hyperlink and is coloured differently to indicate it refers to the active sheet. The other two have hyperlinks linked to respective
    sheets. 3x3 shapes, 9 in total, none of them ever change colour!
    It's logical though not necessary to name each shape same as the sheet it links to, but they'd work just as well with their original default names.
    For aesthetics, the shapes that refer to own sheet have a horizontal line on top, actually two shapes as a group.
    If still confused copy each set of 3 shapes to a 4th sheet, or open two new windows so you can see all three sheets at the same time.

  • Links change color when Email is Received

    Hi, I have created an html email in Dreamweaver with "pink" links. The problem is after I email it I look at it in my sent email and ithe links are "blue" when they should be pink. So in other words the recipients get the HTML email with blue linkd instead of "pink" links.
    I have checked in my mac "mail" in the settings to see if it is using a blue color for the links but I can't find anything relating to link colors.
    Any ideas what I can do? Also is there somewhere  in DW that gives me the option to change the link color?
    Thanks

    Thanks for the help Murray. I'm not sure why but....
    This code doesn't seem to work in "Design" view
    When I am using an email link and do as you suggest and move the </font> tag behind the word and look at the page in "Design" view in Dreamweaver the link is all black and is barely readable on a dark background.
    <a href="mailto:myEmail?subject=To: Name" title="Home" target="blank"><font color="pink">myLink</font></a>
    These codes both seem to work in "Design" view
    But when I place the closing "font" tag after the </a> (see below) and preview the page in "Design" view in Dreamweaver the link is the Pink color as it should.
    <a href="mailto:myEmail?subject=To: Name" title="Home" target="blank"><font color="pink">myLink</a></font>
    This also works when previewing the page in "Design" view in Dreamweaver the link is the Pink color as it should.
    <a href="mailto:myEmail?subject=To: Name" title="Home" target="blank"><font color="pink"></font>myLink</a>

  • Link in form of a pictrue - change color when sweeping

    Doing links in form of a word which change color when sweeping over them is simple in iWeb.
    I wonder how I do if I not just want the color of the text but also an image to change.
    Ex. I have a link in form of a bright cloud. When one sweep the mouse over it I want the cloud transform into a darker form of the same cloud.
    Perhaps I need a codescript which connect two pictures of the cloud?

  • Visited links change color.

    Visited links change color (to something pretty similar to
    the page background :(
    Even though in the page properties all the states of links
    (Color, Rollover, Visited, and Active) are set to the same color -
    yellow.
    It is an upper part of a frame-set, but when I open it in a
    browser or in DW by it self (without a frame-set), it still does
    the same changing to that uncolled color. I really don't know what
    to do with it.
    Please help.
    Anna

    The decision to use frames should be based on a) your site's
    needs, and b)
    your willingness to accept the potential problems that frames
    can create for
    you as developer and maintainer of the site and for your
    visitors as casual
    users of the site.
    I am down on frames because I believe that they create many
    more problems
    than they solve.
    Judging from the posts here, and the kinds of problems that
    are described,
    the kind of person most likely to elect to use frames is also
    the kind of
    person most likely ill-prepared fo solve the ensuing problems
    when they
    arise. If you feel a) that you understand the problems and b)
    that you are
    prepared to handle them when they occur, and c) that you have
    a need to use
    frames, then by all means use them.
    As far as I know, the most comprehensive discussions of
    frames and their
    potential problems can be found on these two links -

  • Can anyone tell me why a picture would change color when I try to download/upload it?  It is the exact same picture- chosen the same way and when it goes to any other program it changes the color (I've tried canvas on demand and mpixpro.  I've also tried

    Can anyone tell me why this picture changes color when I try to download/upload it?  It is the exact same picture I have taken from the same location.  The image on the left is via preview and the image on the right is what is shows like when I try to download it.  I have emailed it to myself and it shows fine on the computer and in CS4, but when I look at the download via my phone or on another computer it shows the wonky color on the right.  I have checked the color space shows RGB/8 bit.  Any ideas why or how to fix it?  It isn't with any one specific session.... and I've tried it on both my desktop and my laptop- saved image to an external hard drive and to drop box.  I've tried sending the image to canvas on demand, my email, mpxipro, POST editing- all the same result.  Please HELP!!  What am I doing wrong?

    Most of the time you see something like that. The image in question has a color profile other then sRGB. Some image viewers/displayers are color managed and others are not.  So the image do not look the same in all of the applications you use. So colors seem to change.
    Try converting it to sRGB color and see if then looks the same all around. Also I think PC and Mac displays are set to different gamma something like 1.8 and 2.2
    Though I'm colorblind I even see color variations.

  • I need help highlighting an expiration date on my Numbers '09 spreadsheet. I want the text/fill of a cell to change color when the expiration date of an item is within 180 days of the current date.

    I need help highlighting cells on my Numbers '09 spreadsheet.  I want the cell text/fill to change color when the date is 180 days or less from the current date.  I already have a cell with the current date in it.  I also know how to change the fill/text colors.  All the cells have been formatted to show date only.  I am having trouble with the formula.  I can get to the Conditional Formatting menu and select "With Dates" but after that I am lost.  Can anyone help?
    Thank you for any assistance.
    B

    Set a Conditional Format rule as shown in the illustration below. The rule has been applied to all dates in column B of the table.

  • How do i get my events to change colors when i add new ones in my calendar

    How do I get my events to change colors when I add a new event in my calendar?

    When you add an event and you see the heading "Calendar", do you see a name to the right of it such as "Work"?  If you tap on the heading "Calendar" does it show you a list of calendars?
    I'm basing this on my experience using iCal on a Mac to sync with my iPad.  I created a number of calendars on the Mac and assigned them different colors.  Those appear on my iPad.  I don't know how to create additional calendars on the iPad alone - I must create them in iCal or MobileMe then they show up on the iPad.  Are you using a Mac or MobileMe?

  • PS file in illustrator changes color when I move it??

    When I open a ps file in illustrator some objects change color when I move them and are displayed correctly in preview and Photoshop, why and how do I fix this?
    Also the object seems to be duplicated. It should have the same and only the colors of the scale bar. In another file the image part is correct and the scale bar is incorrect.
    Should look like this:

    It is an odd problem. The "good" screen shot is from opening the PS file in mac's preview. As it is, I use several tools in illustrator to get the final image where I need it to be; several layers and what not. I have tired 5, 5.1, and 6 with the same problem. Again I have a different problem when I use a different figure:
    As you can see just the opposite problem is the case. The map part is good while the color scale if off. Both parts are made in the same way and more or less in the same sequence, I don't think it is purely a problem at birth and other software can "see" it correctly, so I don't think it is a hardware problem.

    If you need all the CSS code, I will attach it below:

    I think you need double quotes rather than single.. as in
    new URLRequest( 'PDF_FILES/1.  MD&A Introduction.pdf' );
    try
    new URLRequest( "PDF_FILES/1.  MD&A Introduction.pdf" );
    also the file names are a little odd.... there is a space after the period 1. (space here) MD...this will present problems once on server.
    And then you have an ampersand in the file name..... while that may work, sometimes servers are much more particular.... things like spaces and special characters in file names can cause problems.
    One recommended method of naming files and folders is:
    All lower case (no caps)
    No_spaces_use_underscore_instead
    No special characters

  • Trigger change badi when click a custom button

    hello guys i want to trigger the change badi when a user clicks on a button.  Any help would be create?
    I am using the set change by client setting it to true and then firing the refresh but it is not working?  Any clues?  Thank you.

    As I told you in that linked thread, I'd suggest trying to use SET_CHANGED_BY_CLIENT method on the context of your webdynpro. This is sufficient to make the system aware of a change and trigger the CHANGE badi.
    As far as I've observed doing my tests, the CHANGE badi is then triggered after an event that will follow the SET_CHANGED_BY_CLIENT execution.
    So I'd suggest two test:
    - pre-exit of the method you trigger when the user press your custom buttom: set_changed_by_client and then execute your code. See if the badi is then triggered;
    - if not: you could "force" a subsequent action after the button press, for example, a simple REFRESH of the view. Then I'm sure that, after the set_changed_by_client method, the badi will surely be triggered.
    Please be aware that I'm absolutely NOT a guru on these arguments, so I'm trying to give you some workarounds I implemented on an SRM 7 system. Probably some guru will have better and cleaner solution for your task, but as far as I've seen, these ones should meet your needs.

  • Internet link changes color ?

    After hitting a link on the internet it it changes color, How do you get the link to go back to the original color?

    You don't want to do that.  It's the initial color before you click the link and another color to tell you you visited that link.
    You can change them with the browser's preferences.
    Update:
    Sorry, in most browsers you have preferences to change the colors (Firefox preferences, content, colors) .  Apparently in safari you don't unless you make a custom stylesheet.
