Everything in Firefox is very difficult to read, including this sentence. Fine on other computers.

Check Finderr->Preferences->General and ensure that HDs are selected for display. If so and they still don't, Reset the NVRAM/PRAM and Reset the SMC, and see if that does the trick.

When I try to burn a play list to a CD some of the songs are grayed out and then not burned to the disc. How can I fix this problem?

HT201302 I have an iPod touch, and want to transfer all my photos (taken over the last year) to my Windows 8 PC, how can I do this?

I believe it's 4th gen - it does have a camera (hence all the photos).
I don't want to update it to the latest iOS since I'm concerned it will slow it down too much, but it is running 5.1 I believe.
I have a Windows 8 PC and have just installed iTunes, and iCloud panel. Photostream doesn't seem to import old photos, though I've tried this route. I can't find the "enable disk use" button in the new iTunes, and when I try and open the iPod through the start menu I just find an empty DCIM folder.

The problem would seem to be in the firewall in your router. Have you tried disabling it? I assume you've updated the router firmware, right? Consider bypassing the ISP provided router (using it as a modem only) and unsing another device such as an Aiport Express.

Some websites display in a very basic format in Mozilla, but are fine in Explorer. This is a recent problem. How can I fix this?

Recently Mozilla is having problems displaying some websites. Previously these website displayed fine, and in Internet Explorer they still displays them fine.
For example. http://www.yr.no/ displays few graphics, and all the text is in times new roman font. The size of the font varies and things are bulleted. Links appear blue and underlined, and the rest of the text is black. The sites are now very plain and have none of their previous detail. How can I fix this?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

FCP, and all software on OSX, has a few different "preference" files (the extension is .plist), which store all your user settings. Each time you resize a window, change a setting, anything, this file is re-written. Kinda easy to see how they would become corrupt every now and then.
-Close FCP
-Navigate to User>Library>Preferences and delete com.apple.FinalCutPro.plist
-Navigate to User>Library>Preferences>Final Cut Pro User Data and delete Final Cut Pro 5.0 Prefs
-Empty your trash
Relaunch FCP and see if that worked.
Download FCP Rescue to make this process easier in the future. When you have FCP running really smooth, open FCP Rescue and create a backup of your preference files. If it starts acting wanky, just run FCP Rescue and Restore your backup preferences. Works really slick, and it's free.

All of my purchased apps (games) and apps such as Weight Watchers, Facebook, WeatherBug, Sports and Pinterest, Notes, Nook, etc. are all locked up. They simply flash, then nothing! How can I fix this to make them work again.

Second Issue: When I synced to my desktop (Windows XP) All my photos loaded onto my iPad2. I don't really want all 3000 + pics on my ipad!! How do I get them off? If none of your third-party apps are working, but the Apple built-in ones are ok, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted. In terms of re-downloading apps then you can do so as long as they are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
For synced photos, then with the iPad connected to and selected on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, then on the Photos tab on the right-hand side you can control which photos are synced to the iPad : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236 . I have indicated on the attached jpeg where the problem is, basically a line of text is missing at the top and part of the feeding diagram is missing. I created the artwork in different layer and then flattened. All text has been converted to outlines, however the areas being affected have no transparency, I have used solid fills or no fills. I get the same result when I export the file as a jpeg. Hope you can help.

Microsoft Word - Times New Roman will not print from my iMac. People send me Word documents, I must select all and choose another font. How can I fix this?

When anyone sends me a Word document via email as an attachment and I attempt to print it out, my printer always spits out a blank page. All Word documents seem to arrive using Times New Roman font. I must then return to the document, select all, reassign a different font, and it then prints okay. How can I fix this? It appears that Times New Roman font is part of my Font Book, and each version of the font (Italic, etc.) appears there in duplicate.

Open the Font Book again, select the Times New Roman font set.
You'll see the duplicate warning. Select the fonts and go up to the EDIT menu,
and go down to RESOLVE DUPLICATES.
You might check for other duplicates while you're there, and resolve them.
RESTART your Mac to have the changes take effect.
Then try your docs again.

Add the corrected ones to your PS - PS contains only what was added to it - changes made are not applied to the PS - you have to re add the updated photos
