All Users and User Groups member count 0

I've setup SCCM 2012 R2, configured the AD User Discovery. But my Member count for All Users and User groups is 0, Memebers Visible on Site is 968.
I'm not sure how to get the Member count working.

The following exception gets thrown at every user entry:

I think it gets thrown at this line in the code:

It seems Ok when I add "CN=Users,DC=filenetp8,DC=com" after userName, just as
userName + ",CN=Users,DC=filenetp8,DC=com"
But I still have some problem with it.

Yes, a clean list of Users with their Groups...
Nothing standard. Strange...
You might see if this export has something you can use. I do not recall it from the vast amount of detail exported here. The file will be generated on the server, so you might need somebody to pick it up and give it to you.

Can not synchronize the SAP NW UME users and system groups with SSM

We have created a demo enviroment for a client demo.
In SAP NW UME:
1. Create the system group.
2. Asing the goup created to the admin user (pipadmin).
In Administrator's user interface:
3. Acces to Administration > Set System Defaults in order to synchronize user tables. The data informed in the fields are:
SSM Administrator = pipadmin
Cache directory = C:Program FilesSAPSSMInternetPubcache
Global cache setting = Enable
End point = <IP:port>
User name = pipadmin
pasword = ······
cache = Enable
Then we click on syncronize tables (Administration > Set System Defaults). The "Update compled" message is showed but users and application group don't appear in the Administration > Manages Application Groups.
Note: We tried to syncronize yesterday and we recieved the message: restart the SSM Extended listener.

Can I delete all files and users (including admin account) without re-installing SL?

I have a 1st generation Macbook Air, running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Just bought myself a new MBA, want to sell the old one (privately, not soliciting here).
The original install disks were Leopard. I bought a family pack SL and upgraded the MBA at that point. Earlier this year I sold my old Mac Mini (when I upgraded) and included the SL install disks with that sale (stupid of me).
Now I want to sell the old MBA. Ideally, I'd have a clean install on SL on it, minus all previous files and accounts. I've done that before when selling old computers, reformatted / erased the HD, then reinstalled the OS. But I don't have the SL disk anymore, and I don't really want to pay for it just to prep this notebook for sale.
AFAICT, my options are:
wipe the HD and reinstall Leopard (the only OSX disks I have). Whoever buys it from me would need to upgrade to SL themselves, and from there to Lion if they want.
somehow try to delete all files and users without touching the current install of SL. I'm not terribly worried about security of what little information is on the MBA (nothing important to me), so I don't mind trashing files and then emptying trash instead of wiping the HD block by block.
Any ideas for how to do #2? I can trash all files/folders under /user, uninstall all applications and delete their folders from Library, uninstall all browsers except Safari and wipe the history from that...
Is there other stuff I should be deleting? plist files, maybe? I'm leery of messing around too much and disrupting the install of the underlying OS.
Can I also delete the admin account (or rename it "admin" with a generic default password?)?

Trashing files you have created is relatively easy. Getting rid of an account is a bit harder. Trashing the .plist files, etc., that may contain personal info is a lot harder, and there is always the risk that you will miss something.
Best, and easiest, and customary, is to do option #1 - wipe the drive and re-install the original OS from the original disk set. The receiver of the machine can then decide which OS they want to upgrade it to, and purchse accordingly.
The original disk set for that machine should be included with it when it is sold.

Domain Users, Authenticated Users, or Everyone
Domain Users
The Domain Users is the only real group of the 3 listed above. By that I mean you can add and remove members from this group. Domain Users is a Global Group in the domain, and it can only contain users that are members of same domain the Domain
Users group resides in. By default all users created in the domain are automatically members of this group. However, the default Guest account in the domain is NOT a member of Domain Users, instead it is placed in the Domain Guest group.
Because Domain Users is generally considered the most secure group of the three listed above.
Authenticated Users
Authenticated Users was first introduced in Windows NT 4.0 SP3. This is a built-in group and cannot be modified. The Authenticated Users group contains users who have authenticated to the domain or a domain that is trusted by the computer domain.
Authenticated Users contains all manually created user accounts in all trusted domains regardless of whether they are a member of the Domain Users group or not. Authenticated Users specifically does not contain the built-in Guest account, but will contain
other users created and added to Domain Guests.The Authenticated Users group also includes the local computer account (computername$) and the built-in SYSTEM account.
Everyone group
The Everyone group includes all members of the Domain Users, Authenticated Users group as well as the built-in Guest account, and several other Built-in security identifiers like SERVICE, LOCAL_SERVICE, NETWORK_SERVICE, etc. NULL session connections (aka

People Picker can resolve users and security group from another domain but no validation for groups

Dear all,
Here is the scenario of our issue:
We are migrating from Domain A to Domain B and in Domain A we currently have a SharePoint 2013 on which we want to set permissions for users and groups that have already migrated to Domain B.
A bi-directional trust exist between the two domains and all applications relying on trust and resolving IDs from on domain to another are working fine (Windows RDS for instance)
The "bug" that we have is when using the PeoplePicker, it can resolve without any issue a user account in Domain A or B, and a security group (type global, I haven't tried local or universal yet) from domain A or B. But for the security groups
only (it works well for users), when I click on "Save" to validate the add of the group to the site permissions, I have the following error:
I have seen a lot of similar issues on the web but no answer so far that work :(

LDAP- When importing a Group it goes into Security Users and not Groups.

I created a new LDAP Server
cn=GroupBI,OU=Groups,OU=Systems,OU=Milan,OU=Italy,OU=Countries,DC=u,DC=a,DC=g
Connection Test was ok.
The problem is on importing members of my group, on Security Import window instead of having the group drop-down list populated I have the user drop-down list populated with "GroupBI".
If I import this group (considered as a user by BI) it goes into Security > Users and not Security > Groups.
This does not make sense.
I'm sure this "GroupBI" is a group and not a user and the atribute type used is sAMAccountname

Let me tell how we did Authentication using LDAP
I havent imported any groups or users once the LDAP is set up and connection was successfull. I simply created the session variables USER DISPLAYNAME EMAIL and mapped to LDAP Variables uid, displayname, mail.
Authentication is done in this way by mapping the OBIEE variables to LDAP variables instead of importing the groups.
Now for Authorization I created the groups populated using some db tables and captured the group name and loglevel and applied filters on the group in the rpd for data level and permissions on the group in webcat for object level.
So just for Authentication purposes I think we can authenticate with out really importing groups as long as you map OB variables to LDAP

Windows updates removes all tabs and tab groups so I have to regularly do a system restore to get them back.

When there is an automatic update from Windows or Microsoft Security Essentials, it regularly has removed all my tabs and tab groups. A very frustrating occurance so I have to do a system restore to get all these back. Any solutions to this issue?

After your computer restarts, you should be able to choose '''[[Session Restore|"Restore Previous Session" from Firefox's History menu]]''' to restore all your tabs and groups from last time.
For this to work, Firefox must be set to remember history in the [[Options window - Privacy panel]].
