Hi Ramachandra,
sorry, it seems SDN interprets the comma after the link as part of the link. Here's the link again:

  • Ignoring Sun proprietary API warning in JDK 1.6.0_13.

    We are upgrading our application from JDK 1.5.0_17 to JDK 1.6.0_13 and we get so many warnings regarding Sun proprietary API.
    Can someone help me in telling when this API's will be removed from Sun API and is there any problem in using this API's as long as we use JDK 1.6.0_13.
    At the same time can u suggest the alternate API's which can be used in place of this.

    Any help appreciated.

    Can someone help me in telling from which release this Sun API's will be removed. I answered that. No. Nobody can help you. What Sun say here is 'From one release to another, these classes may be removed, or they may be moved from one package to another, and it's fairly likely that their interface (method names and signatures) will change.' There's no statement there that they will be removed, and certainly no implication that there is a single release in which they will all be removed at the same time.
    So as of now we can migrate to JDK 1.6.0_13 ignoring warnings msgs. Will there be any problem in still using the same api's?I answered that too.
    Does this API's work in JDK 1.7 and from where can I download JDK 1.7?You will have to test it yourself. Google will find it for you.
    Is there any alternate API to get the user agent string of sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.userAgentI answered that. You don't need it in a CONNECT command.

  • New problem  --  My java code can't see my CLASSES from Mapping Workbench

    Donald and others -
    I am VERY new to TopLink......
    I was at the last Oracle Developer Days in Northern Virginia. Donald convinced me and my co-workers to use TopLink for our upcoming project. I have been having tons of problems getting it to work correctly. Maybe I need a TOPLINK license plate, like Donald!!!
    Here is my newest problem. I can create a DatabaseSession, login to it, write a query and log out of it.
    However, I can only do this if I remove my classes from the Mapping Workbench. As soon as I add even one class to the Mapping Workbench......I get an error as follows:
    LOCAL EXCEPTION STACK:

    Can anyone tell me where I need to put my class files so the java code can see them via the ISR.xml deployment file.
    I currently have these files in a .jar file on the system path and in my web-inf folder and in my project settings. I put them everywhere I could think of, but no luck.
    Here is my code:

    Thanks in advance.
    Donald please email me and maybe we can chat on the phone if you want to offer some help.

    Thanks for the reply!
    However, I did try to implement that yesterday.
    When I add the "getClass().getClassLoader()" to the "XMLProjectReader.read" call, the codes loses site of my project (.xml) file.
    Here is the new line:
    project = XMLProjectReader.read("C:\\LBIT TopLink\\ISR\\ISR.xml", getClass().getClassLoader());
    Here is the new error:
    EXCEPTION [TOPLINK-7099] (TopLink - 9.0.3 (Build 423)): oracle.toplink.exceptions.ValidationException
    EXCEPTION DESCRIPTION: Could not find xml project file which is specified in properties file: xmlProjectFile=C:\LBIT TopLink\ISR\ISR.xml.

         oracle.toplink.sessions.Project oracle.toplink.tools.workbench.XMLProjectReader.read(java.lang.String, java.lang.ClassLoader)
    But my code could find that file before I added the "getClass().getClassLoader()" code.
    Maybe I can avoid this problem by "deploying the XML file in my application jar?" Could you please explain more about this option after answering the first part of my question.
    Any other posters feel free to help me too.
    I know TopLink is a powerful tool, I just keep hitting these hurdles. ARRRRRRRGGGG!!!
    Thanks again,
    Andy

  • Quering MySql DB tables using DB adapter in Oracle SOA

    Hi',
    I am trying to query MySql DB tables using DB adapter in Oracle SOA.
    inside the weblogic server console I have created a data source and test is "success" MySql
    Now inside the deployments > DBAdapter > Configuration > outbound connection pools
    I am new outbound connection, however I only get one option by default "javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory".
    which is default pointing to oracle DB.
    If someone has implemented this earlier or some blog/document demonstrates this please let me know.
    Thanks

    Thanks Naresh,
    actually I tried changing the "platformClassName" to "oracle.toplink.platform.database.MySQL4Platform" in the existing connection factory.
    I am able to update the DBAdapter successfully, however when I try to run the service created in JDEV which uses this MySql DB table it gives me below error.
    I also have another doubt regarding "How can we create a new connection factory in weblogic console?"

  • Getting Unit Of Work without JSP context

    We are developing an application using Toplink and ADF Datacontrols. We have timer (which starts right after deploy) which reads data from magnetic card reader and stores them into database (via Toplink). Our main problem is getting Unit Of Work (server session). If user interacts with application via jsp pages, obtaining uow is done from TopLinkDataControl (getAssociatedUnitOfWork()). But timer lives on its own, it has no jsp pages to get context from.
    We know one solution - getting server session from toplink descriptor (absolute path needed) - XMLProjectReader.read("c:\\...\\toplink-deployment-descriptor.xml"). Is there another way to create Unit Of Work for our timer in order to last whole application existence? Thanks.

    I was wrong, when I thought, that XMLProjectReader.read() with absolute path works. Your solution seems to be similar, with the same result. I'll describe my problem more closely:
    - Our web apllication consists of 2 projects - Model and ViewController. Each has set the classpath pointing to classes of the opposite project.
    - The only way, that I know of starting a Clock (from Model, Runnable) without creating JSP page is instatiating it in some servlet's init() method. (Servlet has set 'Load This Servlet When the Web App is Strted" in WEB.XML).
    - When I try in my clock to create UnitOfWork by XMLProjectReader.read("c:\\...\\toplink-deployment-descriptor.xml"), I get this error:
    EXCEPTION [TOPLINK-3007] (OracleAS TopLink - 10g (9.0.4.5) (Build 040930)): oracle.toplink.exceptions.ConversionException
    EXCEPTION DESCRIPTION: The Object [mypackage.MyClass], of class[class java.lang.String] could not be converted to [class java.lang.Class]. Please ensure that the class [class java.lang.Class] is on the CLASSPATH. You may need to use alternate

    on the default ConversionManager/
    INTERNAL EXCEPTION: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: mypackage.MyClass
    - mypackage.MyClass is one of many classes from Model, mapped in toplink-deployment-descriptor.xml. It is in classpath of ViewController.
    - For the time being, our application runs in JDeveloper, it will be deployed to OracleAS 10g.
    Either somebody please help me how to solve above error or maybe suggest how to start my clock together with application deployment (no jsp context).
    Thanks.

  • TopLink IAS\SessionBean Example exception

    I am deploying the SessionBean Example which comes with TopLink installable in the examples folder on OC4J 9.0.4 standalone server. I have changed the datasource references for Db url and db driver in the DataSource.xml. Also added TopLink.jar and Xerces.jar in OC4J\j2ee\home\lib.
    Now server is throwing an exception : Unknown tag name: [session] in XML node: [toplink-configution] which i think is from the Sessions.xml file
    Any help or pointers will be really welcome.

    Hello,
    This exception is not a problem with sessions.xml, its a problem with the project that is being referenced by sessions.xml.
    There should be a description of the problem, such as:
    EXCEPTION DESCRIPTION: The object [oracle.demo.MyClass], of class [class java.lang.String], could not be converted to [class java.lang.Class]. Please ensure that the class [class java.lang.Class] is on the CLASSPATH. You may need to use alternate API passing in the appropriate class loader as required, or setting it on the default ConversionManager
    INTERNAL EXCEPTION: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.demo.HockeyTea
    EXCEPTION [TOPLINK-9001] (TopLink - 9.0.3.4 (Build 432)): oracle.toplink.exceptions.SessionLoaderException
    EXCEPTION DESCRIPTION: Unknown tag name: [session] in XML node: [toplink-configuration].
    INTERNAL EXCEPTION: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
    TARGET INVOCATION EXCEPTION: java.lang.NullPointerException
    Without a more detailed stack trace, I would be taking guesses as to the problem.

  • ObjectInputStream.GetFields: Useful in readObject()?

    The following is an excerpt from the User Guide description of ObjectInputStream.GetField class (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/guide/serialization/spec/input.doc2.html):
    Using readFields to access the serializable fields does not change the format of the stream. It only provides an alternate API to access the values which does not require the class to have the corresponding non-transient and non-static fields for each named serializable field. The serializable fields are those declared using serialPersistentFields or if it is not declared the non-transient and non-static fields of the object. When the stream is read the available serializable fields are those written to the stream when the object was serialized. If the class that wrote the stream is a different version not all fields will correspond to the serializable fields of the current class. The available fields can be retrieved from the ObjectStreamClass of the GetField object.
    Based on this description, I assumed that this API could be used within an objects readObject() method to retrieve fields with names/types that differ from the current object. This assumption appears to be false.
    In my tests with 1.3 and 1.4.01, the serialization code makes a number of comparisons between the class being deserialized, and the local (vm loaded) version of the class. These comparisons include class cast compatibility, serialVersionUID compatibility, and field name/type compatibility. If any of the test fail, an appropriate exception is thrown. These tests are performed before the call is made to the objects readObject method. (In 1.4_01, these tests are performed by ObjectSteamClass.initNonProxy().)
    In the following example, Foo (version 2) cannot successfully deserialized Foo (version 1). The serialization mechanism with throw a field type mismatch on field1 before calling readObject(). Foo (version 2b) will fail as well. This time, because of an incompatible serialVersionUID.
    // Version 1
    public class Foo implements Serializable
        private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L;
        protected int field1 = 123;
    // Version 2
    public class Foo implements Serializable
        private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L;
        protected String field1 = 123;
        private void readObject(ObjectInputStream in) throws IOException, ClassNotFoundException
            ObjectInputStream.GetField fields = in.readFields();
            field1 = Integer.toString(fields.get(field1,  0));
    // Version 2b
    public class Foo implements Serializable
        private static final long serialVersionUID = 2L;
        protected String field1 = 123;
        private void readObject(ObjectInputStream in) throws IOException, ClassNotFoundException
            ObjectInputStream.GetField fields = in.readFields();
            field1 = Integer.toString(fields.get(field1,  0));
    }It appears ObjectInputStream.readFields() cannot be used within readObject() as the documentation describes. Am I missing something?
    Thanks, Craig.

    Oops. In version 2 and 2b, the following line:
    protected String field1 = 123;should read:
    protected String field1 = "123";

  • SecurityError: Error #2123: Security sandbox violation: BitmapData.draw: cannot access

    When we try to print the Google Map API for Flash component, it is throwing the Security Sandbox Violation
          SecurityError: Error #2123: Security sandbox violation: BitmapData.draw: http://ps6143:8080/aa/XYZ/Main.swf/[[DYNAMIC]]/1 cannot access  http://mt1.google.com/vt/lyrs=m@171000000&hl=en&src=api&x=1&y=1&z=1&s=Gali&flc=x3t. No policy files granted access.
    at flash.display::BitmapData/draw()
    To avoid this error we tried to use the alternate API provided by library. But that also causing cross domain issue as it loading some 3d library internally which is not able to access our application.
    SecurityError: Error #2121: Security sandbox violation: BitmapData.draw: http://maps.googleapis.com/mapfiles/lib/map_1_20_10_3d.swf cannot access http://ps6143.persistent.co.in:8080/dv/SiteOptimizer/SiteOptimizer.swf/%5b%5bDYNAMIC%5d%5d /1http://ps6143:8080/aa/XYZ/Main.swf/[[DYNAMIC]]/1. This may be worked around by calling Security.allowDomain.
    at flash.display::BitmapData/draw()
    Please help us in resolving this issue.
    Thanks & Regrds,
    Ravi Darji

    There is no redirect... Charles is a web proxy so it will look completely legitimate to the browser.
    According to the help, it's getting the access request from the SWF itself and not the crossdomain.xml file:
    In the case of a source object other than a loaded bitmap, the source object and (in the case of a Sprite or MovieClip object) all of its child objects must come from the same domain as the object calling the draw() method, or they must be in a SWF file that is accessible to the caller by having called the Security.allowDomain()method.
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ActionScript/3.0_ProgrammingAS3/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118a9 b90204-7d1b.html#WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118a9b90204-7c4a
    So the default state accessing a SWF on a different domain is protected, unless that SWF allows some or all domains to access it via the Security.allowDomain() method.

  • NSAPI compatibility with IPV6

    Hi All,
    In our application we need to get the client IP address. Our product is supported on NetScape webserver , so we are using NSAPI to get the client IP address.
    We are using following call to get the client IP address
    pblock_findval( "ip", _sn->client)).GetChar());
    We are planning to upgrade our application to support IPv6 address.
    I am wondering if the current API provided by NSAPI is IPv6 compliant.
    Can somebody please confirm if the above API can be used for IPv6 based address?
    If not then what alternate API(s) we should be leveraging to get the IP address of the client in IPv6 format?
    Thanks and Regards
    Raj Mishra

    I wrote this NSAPI plugin :
    #include "nsapi.h"
    NSAPI_PUBLIC mytest(pblock pb, Session sn, Request *rq)
    char *arr = pblock_findval( "ip", sn->client);
    if (arr)
    pblock_nvinsert("Location", arr, rq->srvhdrs);
    protocol_status(sn, rq, PROTOCOL_REDIRECT, NULL);
    protocol_start_response(sn, rq);
    return REQ_ABORTED;
    Added in server.xml in http-listener element :
    <ip>fe80::123:baef:abcd:1234</ip>
    and sent a request on the same host:
    telnet fe80::123:baef:abcd:ef12  80
    GET / HTTP/1.0
    HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily
    Server: Sun-Java-System-Web-Server/7.0
    Date: Tue, 03 Jun 2008 08:05:57 GMT
    Location: fe80::123:baef:abcd:ef12%bge0
    Content-length: 0
    Connection: closeLooks like pblock_findval( "ip", sn->client); returns fe80::123:baef:abcd:ef12%bge0.

  • Replacement of   IUser API for EP6

    Hi,
    Can somebody tell me that what is replacement of following IUser apis for EP6:
    1.getMappingInfo()
    2.getValuesForKey()
    3.getRawUserMappingData()
    4.getKeys()
    The following apis are with EP5. But I am not able to see them with EP6.
    What are the replacement IUser api for the above in EP6.
    Thanks in advance.
    Manish

    Hi Manish,
    I am not too sure if i understand your question but to get usermapping data in EP6, you need to do the following.
    //get usermapping service
    IPortalComponentRequest request = (IPortalComponentRequest)this.getRequest();
    IUser userid = request.getUser();
    IUserMappingService iums = (IUserMappingService)     PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService(IUserMappingService.KEY);
    //get the mapping data
    IUserMappingData iumd = iums.getMappingData("R3DEV",userid);
    Map map = new HashMap ();
    try {
       iumd.enrich (map);
    catch (NoLogonDataAvailableException nldae) {}
    //Get the userid and password
    String userid = (String)map.get ("user");
    String password = (String)map.get ("mappedpassword");
    PS: Pease consider rewarding points for helpful answer or problem resolved. thank you.

  • API to get system objects and their propeties at EP6?

    Thank you.

    Hi Detlev,
    Thank you very much for quick and precise reply!
    I have also added a following piece of code to receive
    a name-value pairs of all the system and it works.
    Attributes attr = so.getAttributes();
                   NamingEnumeration ids = attr.getIDs();
                   while (ids.hasMoreElements()) {
                        Object nextIDObj = ids.nextElement();
                        String idName = nextIDObj.toString();
                        response.write(idName + " = " + attr.get(idName).get() + "<BR>");
    Thanks again,
    Yuri
    P.S. Where from comes your knowledge about these APIs?
    I didn't find ANY documentation about!...

  • EP6 SP2 APIs through web services/urls?

    Hi,
    One general question to begin this thread -
    Can I do anything the portal APIs (UME, KMC and all
    the rest) allow me to do and expose it for external
    application usage as a web service/url/whatever? If
    no, who knows what can be exposed and what is not?
    Thanks all,

  • Java API to read the Encrypted Values from Windows Registry settings

    Is there any Java API to read the Encrypted Values from Windows Registry settings ?
    My Java Application invokes a 3rd party Tool that writes the key/value to windows registry settings under : “HKLM\Software\<3rdparty>\dataValue”.
    This entry is in BINARY and encrypted with 3DES, using crypto API from Microsoft.
    3rd party software to encrypt the data stored in registry it
    either uses C++ code: and uses the call “CryptProtectData” and “CryptUnProtectData” or
    If it is a .NET (C#) it uses the call “Protect” or “UnProtect” from class “ProtectData” of WinCrypt.h from the library “Crypt32.lib.
    Note: The data is encrypted using auto-generated machinekey and there is no public key shared to decrypt the Encrypted data.
    Since the data is encrypted using auto-generated machinekey the same can be decrypted from a .Net / C++ application using CryptUnprotectData or UnProtect() API of WinCrypt.h from the library “Crypt32.lib.
    To know more about Auto-Generated MachineKey in Windows refer the links below
    http://aspnetresources.com/tools/machineKey
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms998288.aspx
    I need to find a way in Java to find the equivalent API to decrypt (CryptUnprotectData) and Microsoft will automatically use the correct key.
    But i couldn't find any informato related to Java APIs to enrypt or decrypt data using auto-generated machinekey.
    Is there a way to read the encrypted data from Windows regsitry settings that is encrypted using the Auto-Generated Machine Key ?
    Kindly let me know if Java provides any such API or mechanism for this.

    If the symmetric key is "auto-generated" and is not being stored anywhere on the machine, it implies that the key is being regenerated based on known values on the machine. This is the same principle in generating 3DES keys using PBE (password-based-encryption). I would review the documentation on the C# side, figure out the algorithm or "seed" values being used by the algorithm, and then attempt to use the JCE to derive the 3DES key using PBE; you will need to provide the known values as parameters to the PBE key-generation function in JCE. Once derived, it can be used to decrypt the ciphertext from the Regiistry in exactly the same way as the CAPI/CNG framework.
    An alternate way for Java to use this key, is to write a JNI library that will call the native Windows code to do the decryption; then the Java program does not need to know details about the key.
    That said, there is a risk that if your code can derive the key based on known seeds, then so can an attacker. I don't know what your applicatiion is doing, but if this is anything related to compliance for some data-security regulation like PCI-DSS, then you will fail the audit (for being unable to prove you have adequate controls on the symmetric key) if a knowledgable QSA probes this design.
