Alternative to COGI

Hi PP Guys,
As a supporting team i dont have authorization to COGI .
I need to check the backflush error during confirmation with COGI.
Is there any other alternate transaction or back ground job for checking this back flush error.
And iam unaware or back ground job if any..please provide some steps which could be help full for me
Thanks in Advance
suresh kanna

Hi Suresh,
If you just want to check what error is occurring during an order confirmation and you don't have authorization to COGI you can simply check the AFFW table. It contains the COGI entries (see the "Area", "Message Number" "Message Type" fields).
Or you can also schedule the program CORUAFFW as a background job.
Regards,
Marcelo

  • The BDC program for Transaction COGI not workign -need some alternative

    Hi,
We are doing a SAP upgrade from 4.6c to ECC. One of the custom tcodes which were using BDC programming on COGI is now broken.Since , COGI is now changed in Ecc 6.0  with respect to the output which is now inALV and the earlier Date funtionaliy button is no more there in ECC6.0.
We are still not to able to find relevant BAPI/function module/alternative for that matter.Rerecording COGI for new environment is not working since it involves alv call functions, which cannot be recorded in BDC.
Please provide any inputs/valuable suggestions for same.

    HI
    You can try below method.
there is one check box in COGI transaction named List Display. In your BDC recording, default that field value with 'X'.
By activating this, list will be displayed as in earlier versions.

  • Disabling of Deletion Button Indicator in COGI

    Hi Experts ,
We would like to disable the delete icon from COGI . This is to be done to prevent the users from deleting the error list. I had contacted the Basis team and they have maintained that this wasnt possible.
Please suggest us a range of options that could be provided from the functional team to Basis team .
If there is a work around , then please suggest . Thanks.
    Kind regards
    Ayaz

    Hi,
Basis directly can't restrict to disable delete icon from COGI. However, check with your ABAPer ( Technical Consultant) whether he can create such authorisation object with delete icon of COGI is disabled and this object BASIS can attach to COGI tcode and hence you can prevent users from delete function in COGI.
Alternately, check with SHD0 : Transaction & Screen Variant and check for making disabled delete option for COGI transaction in SHD0.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Tejas

  • XQuery - In search of alternatives for "ora:view"

Instead of the following XQuery statement, what could be alternatives, regarding re-writing the statement, via options like:
    - xmltable
    - xsql
    - xpath
    - table(xmlsequence())
    - etc
So I am looking for alternative statements and/or an alternative for ora:view
    Thanks for the effort
    Marco
    xquery
    let $auction := ora:view("XMLType_Table") return
    for $b in $auction/site/people/person[@id = "person0"] return $b/name/text()

The file is to big to fit in VARCHAR2, so therefore it was loaded via the bfilename method.

  • History of deleted COGI records

Hello gurus. I have a question.
Is it possible to find out who deleted records from the COGI list (Reprocessing of Error records from Automatic Goods Movements)? Does the system keep a log of this action?
People in the factory sometimes delete (deliberately or by mistake) records from COGI instead of processing them. It causes a problem because the goal is to have this list CLEAN.
I don't see any history of this deletion, so it's hard to find out what really happened with the record.
    Any suggestions or alternatives?

    as far as I know
there is no any history log in COGI (if someone just deleted an error record)
it must be definately impact on COSTING (FI-CO)
you probably might to explain factory guys DO NOT delete cogi items (and contact support person) or just
remove the role/profile which has COGI transaction - to not allow run COGI for them)
    good luck

    Hello AlbertMarsh,
I've tried, and wasn't able to locate your My Best Buy Member ID with the information you provided to the forums.  I'm going to need you to send me a private message by clicking the blue box at the end of my signature with your My Best Buy member ID.
I’m going to add more clarity to enuf's Trade-In post. The 10% bonus is on the total amount prior to the additional 30% promotion. So if you got $10 Trade-In credit and had 30% bonus ($13), you would get $1 additionally from original base value for Gamers Club Unlocked not $1.30.  I hope that makes sense.

    Hi sowjanya,
I think you must have created the custom method to release the invoice, if not please create a custom method and write a zfunction module as below :
ZBAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE RELEASE( Inside this FM just call the standard FM)
    BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE RELEASE
    COMMIT WORK.
    ENDFUNCTION.
Then use the above FM to release the invoice.
    It will work.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • COGS update on other GL Account at the time of Free goods or Sample goods

    Hello,
In sales process, Usually the at the time of Delivery, material document is created as
    DR COGS
    CR INVENTORY
But in the case of free goods or bonus goods or samples: the account should not determines COGS instead it should determine another GL Account called as Free good -COGS expense A/c.
How can we solve the issue.
    Regards,
    SK

    Hi Yasar,
You need to create a new routine for calculate type.
    Do as below:
    1. Go to VOFM>Formulas>calc.rule Rebate InKd to create a new routine for calculate type.  for example 601.
    2. add the following code in this routine 601 and then save.
      USING L_FRM STRUCTURE KONDN_FRM.
    DATA: VORKOMMA  LIKE KONDN-KNRMM,
           NACHKOMMA LIKE KONDN-KNRMM.
      L_FRM-NRMENGE = 0.
      L_FRM-NRRUND  = 0.
      L_FRM-NRMENGE = ( L_FRM-MGLME / L_FRM-KNRNM * L_FRM-KNRZM ).
    business rounding
        VORKOMMA = FLOOR( L_FRM-NRMENGE ).
      L_FRM-NRRUND  = L_FRM-NRMENGE - VORKOMMA.
      L_FRM-NRMENGE = VORKOMMA.
    3. Select routine 601 in field "Calc.Rule" when you create free goods condition record.
    Hope it helps.

  • How can I assign points to the alternatives in a question?

Hi! I am building my first quiz in Captivate and I have this little problem I haven´t been able to solve. I want a make a test that meassures how stress you are att work. It looks like a survey, I´ll have about 20 or more questions with the same type of alternatives, no right or wrong alternatives, but you choose the one you agree the most with. The thing is that i want to give a value point to each alternative and be able to have a score at the end. See the example.
How often do you feel stressed att work?
    1. never : 0 points
    2. one a week: 2 points
    3. three times a week: 3 points
    4. Everyday: 4 points
Att the end, the score you get tells you how stressed you are, but instead of showing a result in term of points, you´ll get a text giving you feedback and recomendations for better health. Can I do that in Captivate? I haven´t been able to find a way to do that yet...
Thanks for any help you can give me!

    Hello,
Tried putting something together that could be possible, concentrated on the workflow. There will be some repetitive tasks to be done however, problem is that a click box cannot stay for a whole project, which means that a click box gets its proper ID on each slide. Will try to explain, it is up to you to judge if this is acceptable, or if you'd go better with a Flash app.
Created (for the moment, perhaps you'll need more if p.e. for Q1-Q10 you need a separate result for A and for B, result for Q11-Q20...) two user variables:
v_AClick     to store the number of clicks on A-option
v_BClick     to store the number of clicks on B-option
The results can then be used later on for a condition (did not write it yet).
Created a first slide with these objects:
dummy Text Caption 'Option A' (will be replaced later on with question text)
click box covering up this Text Caption, named it (ID) ClickA1 (this is the tedious part, has to be done for each CB; ClickA2, ClickA3...)
dummy Text Caption 'Option B' (will be replaced later on with question text)
click box covering up this Text Caption, named it (ID) ClickB1 (this is the tedious part, has to be done for each CB; ClickB2, ClickB3...)
imported a 'sign' to be showed after the user clicked into the Library, and put an instance to the right of each Text Caption, those were labeled VinkA and VinkB. Very important: set those instances to 'Show for the entire project', which avoids to have them duplicated to each slide, we will hide and show them as necessary.
button 'Next' which on Succes jumps to next slide.
The blue Text Caption was for me, to check if the actions were functioning, shouldn't be there in the end file.
I created a first Advanced action, labeled it HideVink (sorry for the Dutch, Vink = the green symbol), to be triggered on entering the slide:
    Hide VinkA
    Hide VinkB
Second/third action, labeled A_Action1/B_Action1 to be triggered by clicking on the ClickA1/ClickB2 with these actions:
    increment v_AClick/v_BClick with 1
hide the other clickbox, thus ClickB1/ClickA1 to avoid that the user could click on both options
    show AVink/BVink
Here is an example, action A_Action1
Those two actions have to be duplicated for each Question slide (A_Action2, B_Action2,....). What has to be changed in the duplicates is only the number of the Click Box, that is why I labeled them to make the process easier.
Now I duplicated the slide as many times as necessary. The actions for button and entering slide are OK, but the actions for the click boxes have to be adapted (tedious).
Why did I use 'dummy' Text Captions: I should export (File menu) the Text Captions to a Word-document, change the dummy texts (left column) to the real captions (much easier in one doc) and re-import them into the CP-file.
That was my homework, as promised. Hope it helps, even if you choose to go the Flash-way after all.

  • COGS (Cost of the Goods Sold) in OPM reg.

    Hi
Can anyone provide the details about COGS (Cost of the goods sold) documents/set up in R12.
    This is very urgent.
    Kindly do the needful.
    Mail id : [email protected]
    Regards
    Raj

    Hi,
    1. Cost of manufacture of a Product is what the value of goods sold or Cost of Goods sold (COGS). Either, you use the SAP Costing module (CO-PC) to let SAP determine COGS or you can manullay input COGS into material master fields (Standard or Moving Average) in Accounting view of Material master. In either case, COGS is stored in the material master valuation (Accounting) view.
    2. You mean in a COGS? Whatever costs it takes to manufacture a product is included in COGS, for instance Material cost, Labor cost etc.,
    Hope this helps.
PS: There is lot of documentation available online SAP help protals and please refrain from using this forum for asking such basic questions and restrict to only questions of clarificatory in nature or issue based questions.

    Dear SD gurus
I have FOC order and I’d like to transfer its cost to CO-PA.
Initially, only delivery process exist, but I noticed that without
billing, data is not transferred to CO-PA.
So, we added billing process with no accounting doc.
But, condition type VPRS seems to be NOT transferred to CO-PA.
    Is there any solution?

  • BADI for movement type 601 and COGS GL account

    Hello SAP expert,
I am searching a solution from SAP enhancements.
The requirement is to provide different COGS GL account based on the Customer Account Assignment Group value(KNVV-KTGRD) when SAP performs goods issue. for example, movement type 601,
This means, when company ships goods to differnt customers, then SAP should generate different COGS GL account.
for example, when company ships goods to customer account assignment group '01' (Domestic customers), then SAP should generate COGS GL account 818100.
when company ships goods to customer account assignment group '02' (export customes), then SAP should generate COGS GL account 818200.
when company ships goods to customer account assignment group '03' (Testing - sample customers), then SAP should generate COGS GL account 818300.
    the logic is following:
KNVV-KTGRD COGS GL account at goods issue
    01 Domestic 818100
    02 Export 818200
    03 Testing - sample 818300
    04 Testing - VOM 818400
    05 Franchise 818500
Is there any similar BADI available to solve the above?
    Happy New Year!
    Regards,
    Sylvia Chen

    Hello,
First of all, Happy New Year!
    Thank you for the tip.
Enhancement LMR1M002 was already implemented in the current SAP environment.
The text is "Account grouping for GR/IR account maintenance".
Function "EXIT_SAPLKONT_011" is the component under Enhancement LMR1M002.
That is all I can see from SAP.
I am not an ABAP person.
Can you provide information for the next step?
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Sylvia Chen

  • Gray screen, spinning cog and midway to first back up of time machine

    Hi,
I got a new external hard drive and wanted to back up my system, which I tried using time machine. At some point during the back up, it appeared to me that time machine is stuck. I tried stopping the back up but my machine was not responding, even any other application. I power it down by down the power key. So, I had backed up some data and not all of it.
Now, when I restarted it is showing gray screen with apple logo and spinning cog and not moving beyond that (even after 4 hours). I am kind of worried if my hard disk has crashed and I have lost the remaining data.
Any help regarding trouble shooting this will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    v8r.

Basically, you need to boot from a drive other than the one that is failing. If your external already has an operating system on it, you can boot from that one. Since you're asking, though, I'm going to assume it does not.
First things first: cables. You need a firewire cable to connect your MacBook Pro to your Mac mini. I don't know what FireWire ports are available on your two machines. The two types of FireWire (400/800) are compatible, so if the two machines don't have the same ports, you can get an adapter. See this page for info about types of FireWire ports: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/8259.html
    - Next, boot the machine with the failing drive into "Target Disk Mode." When you hear the chime, hold down the "T" key. You should not see the Apple logo. Instead, you should see the FireWire logo slowly moving around the screen. This tells the computer to act as if it were simply an external hard drive.
    - Connect the MacBook Pro to your Mac mini via FireWire. If you're lucky, the drive will show up on the desktop of your Mac mini. Copy the files to a safe location.
    - If it does not, you'll need to use software to recover the data. If you already have DiskWarrior, you can run DiskWarrior from your Mac mini on the MBP's drive. If you don't or if DW failed to produce a read-only "preview," I would recommend ProSoft's Data Rescue: http://www.prosofteng.com/products/data_rescue.php DiskWarrior has more long-term use, but Data Rescue is better for this situation.
I know I still skimmed over a few things (e.g. using third-party software that I no longer have), but I hope that gets you started.

  • IMac G5 tries to start and dies after spinning cog for a minute

iMac G5 tries to start and dies after spinning cog for a minute
    I did this;
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
    5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk.
    the result was.
the 'permissions' are sometimes wrong, but they repair
the hard drive is either repaired or OK
the iMac will then restart and work fine and sometimes shut down and restart OK
after replacing the Hard Drive I actually thought I had fixed it and went to bed late but happy,
on waking in the morning, however I was not so happy it fired up and then died after dong -> apple logo -> spinning cog -> dead!!
I would be grateful for any help
    Thanks
    Pete

    Hi Miriam,
    Thanks yes,
here we go -- after running disc utilities it tells me directory OK and disk OK (or something like that) When I replaced the Hard Drive, I started 'fresh' erased/formatted the hard drive (new Seagate Barracuda 7200 500GB) and it has just got 'tiger' on it (and upgraded to whatever it is now I think I remember 4.11, I can't tell at the moment as I have got the back off) I didn't transfer any data I just took the old drive (Seagate 160GB) out and stuck the new one in.
I've just changed the battery (I didn't really think it would work, but I was still hopeful and I'd bought the battery anyway) I did the LED thing, the internal power button thing, and the resetting the SMU thing (with crossed fingers and bated breath) but -- so I'm thinking is it the power supply? I read some of Jim's weighty, but worthy tome and resolved to remove the power supply and have a look. On opening it up, it does look as though, one (at least) of the capacitors has 'blown' (by the way, just in case I sound like I know what I'm talking about, I don't of course, I'm just quoting Jim's words;-) I'd love to send you a picture of the inside of the power supply showing what I believe to be a 'blown' capacitator (and I'm going to try to send one to Jim as I think it might be useful to him and others. can I attach a photo in any way or would you like to send me your email address <Edited by Moderator>
    Thanks
    Pete
PS it's still 'weird' to me, why it starts and runs well, when started from tiger (or whatever) and then starts or restarts from the Hard Drive unless I leave it a few hours and come back and try to start it
again? wow it's late nearly 4.00am here in london UK.
