Alv report save option

hi experts,
I have an executable program which displays alv output, my requirement is after the output is displayed in ultilities tab(drop down) we have saving option which is generally disabled.
how to make this enabled?

I guess you are talking about saving variants, aren't you?
For this you should use
data: ls_variant type disvariant.
ls_variant-report = sy-repid.
l_variant-variant = 'SOME_SAVED_VARIANT'.
CALL METHOD gr_alvgrid->set_table_for_first_display
   EXPORTING

ALV report output options

Hi All,
I am developing an ALV report. These are the requirements to meet.
In the output Grid display, I have to add header using ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE, passing material number, plant, date. And this changes when the material number changes. Is it possible to pass value to ALV_commentary_write from internal table and add separate header when ever the material number changes?

ALV Report - edit option

Hi,
 This is BalaNarasimman. i am making one field as editable field in alv report.
The requirement is that field should have input with decimal also. Eg. 2.2.
So i am declaring data type as, data:per type P DECIMALS 1.
 if i am giving input as '2', then system is converting as '0.2'.
 if i want to get '2.2',then i need to give '22'. so How can i avoid such kind of situation?
 Please give suggestion to me.

IN ALV Report 'SAVE LAYOUT' option missing

Dear All,
I have created one report in ALV GRID using ABAP OBJECTS(Using class CL_GUI_CUSTOM_CONTAINER and
CL_GUI_ALV_GRID).But in output when i click on change layout option i am not getting SAVE layout option.
I have already passed I_SAVE parameter = 'A' while calling metod SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY. But i didnt worked.

Hi,
You can manage display variants by using parameters, is_variant and i_save of set_table_for_first_display. Here are options for variant handling. <structure_name> is the variant-defining structure of type DISVARIANT. The field report in this structure should contain the value of sy-repid.

Interactive reports - save option question

just a quick one -
im developing an application in the APEX 3.1 with an interactive report, standard functionality allows users to save there report view (but not the default view) as i understand.
However are these saved views public or private to the user who created them? also is there functionality or a work around to make them private?

The saved views are for that user. You can easily test it by logging in with one user and in another browser with another user. Is that the way you want it to behave?

List- Export- Spreadsheet option disabled in ALV Report

In one of the ALV Report the option List->Export->Spreadsheet option is disabled. How to enable that option?
I am calling the REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY Function module with the following parameters

ALV drilldown not possible in report once i apply layout save option

Firstly i use drill down in the report means call transaction by double click event.
Then i apply layout save option in same report.
But as soon as i apply layout save option the call transaction is not possible.

when you applied save button did you use any other PF status apart froms standard ALV pf-status..
if so...
go to the pf-status which you have declared ...
then go to the function keys...
under Recommended Function Key Settings for the F2 key set the function code as
&IC1
this will resolve your issue

Excel option problem in ALV report output.

Hi,
In the output of the ALV report, if I click the Microsoft excel button, the following error is occured.
"View cannot be switched: Product is not installed or integration is not active".
We are using SAP GUI 7 and patch level 12.
Please advice what shall be done to overcome this.

Try this.....
Open Excel, go to Tool->Macros-->Security
And you will see a window, Make sure that the two options at the bottom of the window are checked. Save all, close window and try again.
And when excel asks about enable or not macros always select enable macros.

'Save layout' button missing in the ALV report layout screen

 In one of our ALV report the 'save layout' button is missing in the report output screen.i have used the OO concept for creating the ALV output and not the function module.I have attached the code below used for creating the ALV grid.

Pass A to I_SAVE parameter. That will give the options to the user to save the layout outs.
I_SAVE = SPACE
Layouts cannot be saved.
I_SAVE = 'U'
Only user-defined layouts can be saved.
I_SAVE = 'X'
Only global layouts can be saved.
I_SAVE = 'A'
Both user-defined and global layouts can be saved.

Save alv report as excel file directly from program

I require this in my work.
I want to save the ALV report tat is to be generated in the filepath that is given in the selection screen (want to save it locally eg: my windows desktop) and in the layout which is also given in the selection screen.

Actually we have an option to download report output in ALV but it does not download the specified on Selection-screen. For this Create on button for Excell download by setting PF status. and use USER_COMMAND event to trigger when u click on the button and download data to specified path.
1.

How to save alv report

I want to allow the user to save the alv report. I could not enable to save button in my report.
I could save only layout..not the result of the report.

When ALV report display's the out put, you have option of using EXPORT ICON in the default ALV report Icons right.
So using that icon you can save.
