ALV tree in docking container

i am trying to call a docking container (on hotspot click of ALV.-> Reuse_alv_grid_display).
And a alv tree is to be displayed in docking container.
I have wrote the entire code and there is no error is thrown by the system, but docking container displayed.
I am posting entire code .Please let me know where i am mistaken.

    I'm looking for help, tutorials or any ressources I can explore to undertsand how to work in ABAP with controls, containers, tree and so on.
    Each time I do a search on help.sap.com, I found help on a detailed object such as tree or docking container but I never found a global view. I would like to understand the big picture, have an averview of all involved concept. For example, if I want the user screen to be splitted in 2 parts, one that will display a tree, the other one that will display "simple" screen painter trees that will change depending on what user choose using the tree on the left. How do I need to proceed ?
    I'm sorry if I have not a more precise question because I don't found where to begin.

  • Background Execution Problem-Docking Container with 2 ALV Grids in one scre

    While executing in background (F9), I am getting only output of first ALV grid. Second ALV is not getting displayed in BACKGROUND(F9) mode.

  • Problem with ALV in Docking container

    Dear All,
    I have created an <b>editable ALV</b> in a <b>docking container</b>. In this ALV there are some custom buttons in the toolbar. In case a custom activity, in the toolbar, is executed some checks are performed which when fail an error message issued.
    The problem: After the error msg is received if the user corrects the error and re-executes the toolbar custom activity the execution of the program is being terminated and it takes me out of the transaction which should not be the case. I tried to debug/place a hard break-point at the piece of code which should be executed but no success..
    Note: In case i use a custom control then everything is working fine. The reason i want to use a docking container over a custom container, is that if the ALV is placed in a docking container it occupies the complete screen area irrespective of the resolution of the screen.
    Can anyone help as to why this problem is happening and how it can be resolved.

    Well, if you want to try to use a custom container, the trick is to make the screen really big, and then make the container just as big, then double click on the control in screen painter, and set the vertical and horizontal resizing.   Doing this will make the ALV adjust depending on screen resolution.

    I am able to display output in tree format. But I want to add the double click functionality to some of the fields in output. Means if I double click on some value in output tree, it should call some transaction. Please help me with this issue of double clicking.

    I guess you can't mix docking container with subscreen. How would that look like (docked at bottom of subscreen's?). No this can't be used like that. Use custom container instead.

    I have two docking containers on the screen. On the left i have cl_gui_alv_tree, on the right cl_salv_table.
    When a user set a default layout for ALV Grid (or ALV Tree), raport starts and sets this layout in both objects (tree and grid).
    How to avoid this?

  • Drop down list in alv tree

    Hi,
    I am developing an ALV TREE. I need help Its really urgent. In the output screen there will be 2 level nodes. in the item line 1 field should be input enabled using which the database table is to be modified.when user left clicks on this field a drop down list will appear from which he selects his choice.
    I looked into BCALV_TREE_SIMPLE_DEMO reports available in SAP.
    I would also like to know what is register_events, what is an handler.

    I do not think you can have editable fields other than checkboxes in ALV trees. In sample report ZUS_SDN_ALV_TREE_DEMO_1 I have set the fieldcatalog property LS_FCAT-EDIT = 'X' for all fields yet only LOEVM is editable because it is defined as checkbox, too.
    However, you may use the LINK_CLICK of the ALV tree (set LS_FCAT-HOTSPOT = 'X' in fieldcatalog) to trigger e.g. a seach help for input.
