Analytical Bank Statem,e

Is there any feature available in SAP which will give a report analysing the Inflows/Outflow of Funds during a given period; I am not talking about Standard Cash Flow reports available in SAP (which are Accounting Oriented) but rather I am looking for a report which will help management to control operational cash flows.
Any tip/Suggestion will be highly appreciated.

  • Query on Analytical Banking - SAP Bank Analyzer

    Dear all,
I need to start working on SAP Bank Analyzer as part of a capability building plan. In this aspect, I would like to know if there is a download of SAP Bank Analyzer for a trial period of 1 month and if yes, how do we carry out the download. I shall appreciate a quick clarification in this regard.
    Regards
    Subhobrata Talukdar

    Hi Subhobrata,
SAP Bank Analyzer has never been part of SAP ECC. It is shipped as part of Banking Services from SAP.
Banking Services is based on a different Netweaver stack (7.1X) than ECC (7.0X). Installation is only possible as separate instance and requires additional licensing.
An overview of trainings for analytical banking is available at: http://www1.sap.com/services/education/catalog/industry/curriculum.epx?context=%5b%5bBANK_ANAL%5d%5d%7c

  • Query on SAP IS Banking - SAP Deposits Management/ SAP BCA in ECC 6.0

    Dear all,
In SAP Deposits Management in the new platform, we have the node Financial Services both in Easy Access and IMG under which we have the major functionalities like Account and Product Management. However this is unavailable in ECC 6.0. Request you to clarify whether these functions are available in SAP ECC 6.0 under SAP Bank Customer Accounts.

    Dear Subhobrata,
to answer your immediate question on Deposits Management, please read my lines below.
Maybe consider posting similar questions only here in this Forum you rightly chose: Industry Solutions General.
Most industry consultants from the banking practice are contributing and posting there.
The straightforward answer to your question is
No, the nodes published for the "banking services from SAP" process platform (Deposits/Account Management, Analytical Banking) are not published again in ECC 6.0.
Installation procedures, components and licenses are completely different.
This is due to different architectural design, IT and banking business requirements.
The node Financial Services is one application platform (the most recent application release is 7.0 on NetWeaver 7.11) that comprises
+ transactional banking with the components for managing, posting to and servicing of current accounts, savings, deposits, loans, collaterals and hierarchies of accounts for purposes of cash & liquidity (cash pools/sweeps) and global limit management
+ analytical banking with the components for managing risk, ALM, analytical (bank-unit-internal) limit and BASELII requirements.
The single-purpose application component of Bank Customer Accounts on ECC does not handle this variety, yet focuses on current and yield account/demand deposits for special-purpose banks/financial institutions.

  • Query on SAP Bank Analyzer

    Hi,
We are presently working on the SAP Banking suite , mainly on SAP Loans Management and SAP Collateral Management. We would now like to look into SAP Bank Analyzer. Can SAP Bank Analyzer be accessed in SAP ECC 6.0 ? If not, request you to clarify if this can be provided as an add-on or is it available in a different platform and if additional licences are required.
Moreover is there any training program and material on Bank Analyzer provided by SAP?
    Shall appreciate a quick response.

  • SAP Certification in Banking

    Dear Team,
With a overall of 10+ years in Banking Domain (Both in Banking Branch operation & IT). I have good exposure to Deposit, Loans and Payment modules in Banking also a good knowledge in GL.
I am interested to do SAP Banking. I visited SAP website and found SAP Banking ( Analytical Banking & Transactional Banking)
    My Question:
    1. How SAP solution for Banking is growing in Banking world?
    2. Based on my exposure in Banking, which is good (Analytical Banking & Transactional Banking).
    3. I am from India. Can you please suggest me a where I can undergo training & certification.
    4. Do SAP offer online training for SAP Banking?
    Please advise.
    Thank You,
    Krishnan

    Hi Ravi,
Yes, what you say is correct. As such, not many banks uses SAP Banking. Mostly Finacle or Flexcube is been used. But I feel the market for SAP is growing steadily. Banks are started looking for replacing their  legacy CBS which is running for almost 20-30 years. And with SAP having hands on multiple verticals I feel a huge growth in near future.
I checked with SAP. As such, there is no training schedule for SAP Banking.
Came through few online training institute which train on SAP Banking. One is Alta Vista.
    <<Moderator: External Link is Removed>>
Do you have any idea about this institute.

  • SAP Deposit Management: Complete solution to Banking Products?

Is SAP Deposit Management provided the complete solution to manage banking products if we kept aside other modules such as Bank Analyzer, Loan management etc. .... ?

    Hi Anuj,
SAP Banking Services can be classified as Transactional Banking (Deposits and Loans Management) and Analytical Banking (Bank Analyser).
    Transaction Banking further classified as,
    1. Account Management
    2. Master Contract Management
    In Account Management we have,
    1. Deposits Management
    2. Loans Management
Under Account Management - Deposits Management, we have
    1.Term Deposit Account
    2.Current Account
    3.Savings Account
Under Account Management - Loans Management, we have
    1.Instalment Loans
    2.Mortgage Loans
Under Master Contract Management, we have
1.Effective Cash Pooling (Zero Balancing, Target Balancing, Trigger Balancing and Automatic Balance Transfer)
    2.Bundle Pricing
    3.OD
The Following Operations can be done in Transactional Banking --> Deposits Management.,
    1. Create Account
    2. Post Payment Items
    3. Run Settlement
    4. Run Accruals
    5. Order Management Scenarios (Product Change, Account Holder Change, EWT, and Account Closure)
    6. PLM (Posting Lock Management)
The above scenarios will only cover the deposit life cycle in transactional banking but that is not the complete one, there are some parts left in Analytical Banking also i.e. Bank Analyser
    In Bank Analyser, you do
Define Legal Entity, Run AFI steps i.e. some of them displayed below,
    1. Display Financial Transaction
    2. Display Business Transaction
    3. Set Time stamp
    3. Post External Business Transaction
    4. Update Secondary Business transaction
    5. Key Date Valuation (KDV)
    6. View Results in RDL
Still I say, the deposit life cycle not 100% done, the complete deposit life cycle has three main stages
    1. Origination (Mostly happen in CRM and this includes account and product origination)
    2. Servicing (This happen in core banking includes all deposits scenarios in core banking and some of them i mentioned above)
    3. Reporting (This happen in Analytical Banking, includes AFI and Analytical Reporting)
After all these steps, the accounting registration book entry will happen in FICO.
I have written my understanding in Deposits Management. Please correct if something mentioned wrong
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Kamal

  • SAP Banking Technical skills need for a ABAPer

    Hi all,
We are very new to SAP BANKING and looking for the Technical Skills needed apart from Core ABAP.
      And we are Technical consultants.
      Your suggestions are highly appretiated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Gopinath Addepalli.

    Hi Gopinath,
please be a little more specific: which SAP banking applications are you talking about? The ones based upon ERP, the SAP Banking platform (which part: deposits, loans, master contract management, cards, analytical banking), or the payments pre-standard addon?
They differ in their requirements regarding your skill sets.

  • Hierarchy of IS Banking

    Hi Expert,
Can any one help me about IS-Banking hierarchy. what are the basic settings need  to configure for IS Banking.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Nagesh.

    Dear Nagesh,
Sorry, the text editor does not really offer line breaks, so it might look awful.
Can you give more clues which area of the IMG you are looking into exactly?
As you are ware, IS Banking is offering a number of components, which have their own basic settings and recommended sequence of moving on.
Let's be specific, are you looking into the IS Banking part
+ Transactional Banking on the banking services platform
+ Analytical Banking on the banking services platform
+ Bank Customer Accounts or the Risk and Limit Analyzer on ECC 6.0?
Since SAP does not in general publish a full configuration guide, the best approach to acquiring an answer about
the logical hierarchy of the IMG items to run sequentially in a recommended way, are
+ training (everybody loves this recommendation, right?)
+ working out an own version of a sample configuration guide along an IDES or other reference/self-study system
+ learn from colleagues and start asking questions (that's what we are doing here)
As long as you do not look by chance into the following
+ the hierarchy of organizations/branches in the SAP Org Management
(where the answer would be, take a deep dive into Org Management)
but into the logical hierarchy of the IMG items to run sequentially in a recommended way
then here is a quick guide which is in principle valid for both
+ Transactional Banking on the banking services platform
    and
+ Bank Customer Accounts on ECC 6.0
    Hope this helps a bit.
If this does not answer your question, then please rephrase and try to be specific.
    regards
    Ralf
    1. Start with setting up the application scope before doing so for the bank's own procedures and customer procedures
1.1 Activate all components, functions, BADI's, BTE's, country settings needed
(e.g. for Deposits Management: PLM, PCO, MCM, CMS if needed plus their BTE's/BADI's plus partner components plus etc.)
1.2 If appropriate, connect a Solution Manager instance with the application system for Business Process Modelling and a link to application configuration
    2. Continue with setting up the bank's own procedures before doing so for the customer procedures
2.1 FI01, and a file feed to bank directory
2.2 Org Management, the branch directory and source for workflow
2.3 User Management/pfcg, Authorizations, Roles, Profiles
2.4 The GL settings might come next
2.5 The End-of-Day settings might come next
2.6 Item Management might come next, with the settings for transaction types, statements, counters etc.
2.7 Contract Management might come next in full
2.8 Product Management might come next, with the Financial Conditions workbench, Limits first
2.9 Then determine the product attribute hierarchy next, before
2.10 Building up the product defaults and restricted values in the Product Configurator
    3. Cross-Application Procedures > SAP Business Partner
    and remaining configuration
After that, keeping a specific sequence is no longer really essential.
Before, as listed above, that sequence avoids a lot of iterations and questions or even locking in some configuration which would have done differently if known the impact before.

  • SLcM integration with Loans Management

    Hi,
I am aware that The Financial Accounting - Loans Integration ES bundle provides enterprise services that integrate the operational and analytical bank applications in the area of loan contract management. As SLcM uses Financial Accounting, does it provide functionality to be integrated with Loans Management?
    Best Regards,
    Preethi.

    Hi Preethi,
SLCM works fine with Grants Management, Funds Management, FICA, FICO and Biller Direct. I am not sure if it has integrations with Loan management as taking loan is students responsibility and institution seems to be no where concerns except issuing admission letter or stating that student in discussion is eligible for loan.

  • Identify origin of job with multiple instances running

    Hello,
    I have this scenario.
There is a job (JOBA) that has 2 steps.
The first step executes Home ZProg 'A' which will use data that is unique to this run. It will create some TVARV information related to this run. (job name and number)
The second step executes SAP Prog B (RFEBKA00), which will submit a different Job (RFEBKA00-EL BANK STATEM), which, at a point, executes SAP Prog C (RFEBBU00).  This program will call User Exit ZXF01U01, which will read the TVARV table and use the information written by ZProgr 'A' .
This would not be complicated at all, except for one issue:
There could be more than one JOBA running concurrently, so the User exit somehow needs to identify if the current call of the User exit is coming from the correct JOBA.
I hope that you can help me tosolve this problem.
    Thanks!

I forgot to say that all these jobs run with just one Batch ID (00BATCH).
Having said that, I think that I got a solution.
I think that by using a different Batch Id (00BATCH01) in JOBA and accessing table TBTCO from the user exit I can identify if the UE is being executed from the correct job, since the batch user id will be propagated when the new job is submitted.
I think I can work with this option.
If anybody knows of a different way.  Please go ahead and let me know.
    Thanks.

  • Excessive runtime on RFEBGB00 (FF.5) after patching to 027

We are running 4.7 Enterprise, on solaris 9, oracle 9.2.0.6.
Over the weekend, we patched the application layer to 027 from 026.
This has increased the Import of the Electronic Bank Statement by almost ten-fold!
Admittedly it is a larger than average bank statement, however the run times should not take this long:
    RFEBGB00-EL BANK STATEM Active 05.12.2006 08:58:38 7,174
    RFEBGB00-EL BANK STATEM Complete 04.12.2006 11:19:46 6,958
    RFEBGB00-EL BANK STATEM Complete 01.12.2006 09:06:36 428
    RFEBGB00-EL BANK STATEM Complete 30.11.2006 09:34:56 412
    RFEBGB00-EL BANK STATEM Complete 29.11.2006 13:05:50 551
    RFEBGB00-EL BANK STATEM Complete 28.11.2006 09:05:57 549
I have checked the side effects notes, and checked OSS, but found no reason for this. We are only importing and not posting it!
    Any thoughts?

    Hi,
I had no error message except for patch 4 for which I get a message:
    Patch '5-1-0-44-4' is already installed.
% Error: Failure to open / validate the patch
That's why I did change the name to patch_5-1-0-44-4.tar.gpg.
The install went well, but the problem is still there

  • My first real analytic function... any unexpected results?

Hello all. I have a table that contains transactions from bank accounts. The columns I am concerned with (I think) are the account number and the status date.
The status date has the date that the transaction cleared through the bank. I would like a query that returns all rows for an account that have cleared since the last reconciliation of that account. (the reconciliation will occur monthly)
This will produce some test data that replicates what we'll have in this table.
    DROP TABLE dave_test;
    DROP TABLE dave_test succeeded.
    CREATE TABLE dave_test AS
    SELECT level id, ROUND(TO_NUMBER(level), -1) account, TO_DATE('2007-08-01','YYYY-MM-DD') test_date

SELECT 21, 10, TO_DATE('2007-07-01','YYYY-MM-DD') FROM DUAL UNION ALL
SELECT 22, 10, TO_DATE('2007-06-01','YYYY-MM-DD') FROM DUAL UNION ALL
    SELECT 23, 0, TO_DATE('2007-09-01', 'YYYY-MM-DD') FROM DUAL;
    CREATE TABLE succeeded.

I have developed a query that returns accurate results for my test data. My request is this:
Will you look over this query and see if there is a better way of doing things? This is my first real attempt with an analytic function, so I would appreciate some input on anything that looks like it could be improved. Also, perhaps some test cases that might produce results I haven't thought of.
    Thank you for your time.

When I reconcile, I set the status to 'C' and set the status_date to SYSDATE. So the "last reconciliation date" is stored in status_date.
    Like so
    ID    Account_No  status_date
    1     10          05-04-07
    2     10          05-04-07
    3     10          05-04-07
    4     20          05-04-07
    5     20          05-04-07
    6     10          06-03-07
    7     10          06-03-07
    8     20          06-03-07
    9     10          07-05-07
10    10          07-05-07In this example, account 10 was reconciled on May 5, June 3, and July 5. So the previous reconciliation date would be 06-03-07, and my report would return the transactions from 07-05-07.
For account 20, it was reconciled on May 5 and June 3. The previous reconciliation date would be 05-04-07, and the transactions from 06-03-07 would be reported.
