Animation swf in captivate : how to control it?

Hello
I have 3 objects in my scene :
An Animation swf, with Visible option not actived
A Hide button, with Visible option not actived
A Open button, visible
When I click the Open button, I want the animation swf and the hide button to become visible.
I’v got two problems :
On the Open button, I assign advanced actions :
         - Show Animation swf
         - Show StopButton
     When I just put the first action (show swf), I’ve got no problem.
     When I add the second action, only the Stop button appears. I don't understand why the second action "destroy" the first.
When I click on the button for the first time, the swf appears, and begin to play. Then I close it on clicking the stop button. When I want to play again the animation, it begins from where it stopped the first time. I’d like it to begin from the begining each time.
I hope my english is not too bad.
Thanks

About my first problem :
The first time I click the open Button, only the Hide button appears. Then I click this hide button, to hide the hide button (the hide button hide the swf and itself).
Then I click again to the open buton, and this time, the swf and the hide button appear.

  • Which is the best tool for PRC animation? and how to control it with javascript?

    Hi I created animations through Deep Exploration. But I want to know how to create PRC animation with tools and how to control it? I already tried with tetra4D but the javascript can control only u3d format. I have no idea to control prc animation. Please let me know.
    Thanks and Regards

    PRC files don't support embedded animations.
    You can still control the mesh directly with  3D JavaScript (e.g. by using rotateInPlace and a time event handler) but you can't import a timeline as you can with U3D.

  • How to control timeline sound of external SWF

    Hi All,
    Basic Intro:
    I am new in Action Script and trying to create a video tutorial framwork. In this I have lots of animated SWF files in all the files I have multiple scenes as those are 5min. to 10 min. each and all the files have the relevent background and nurration voice place directly on the TIMELINE frame by frame to match lip syncing animated chreactors.
    My file structure :
    Login.swf with login box is embedded into the Index.html
    After logged in it will load another SWF which is Control panel.swf
    3. Controlpanel.swf has the controls to control the loaded external swf files i.e.: Chapter menu, Play, pause, replay, volume-bar, next and previous buttons.
    By Default Controlpanel.swf will open chapter1.swf as soon as user logged in so no one need to open 1st file.
    Here user can navigate to other chapter swf file through Chapter menu or Next and Previous buttons.
    All files are loading and playing properly, here I am trying to control the animation and Sound both at a same time with Pause, Play and Replay through relevant buttons.
    Problem:
    By pressing “Pause button” animation stops but not the sound. Sound remains playing, and if I replay the swf by “Replay button” than animation restarts but sound also restarts that overlaps already playing audio.
    Question: So could anybody help me finding out how to:
    1. Pause the sound with animation by the same click of Pause button, and
    2. Stop the sound with animation by the same click of Stop button, and
    3. On replay it should stop playing the previously running audio and restart it with the animation like fresh loaded file, it should not sound overlapping.
    Constraints:
    Here I am using the sound file on the same time line of each individual swf file which I cannot add into any single movie clip because all the chapter swf file are having multiple scenes in it.
    For my problem I have already done a lot of browsing online in various forums and didn't find the solution. So here I am sharing the complete information regarding the project and wishing to get some good solution out here but if I missed any helpful information please ask me anytime and please help me to quickly find out the solution.
    Thanks a lot to all of you in advance to help me.

    create one global sound variable
    you can write when you are pressing pause button
    globalsoundvariable.setVolume(0)
    to play
    globalsoundvariable.setVolume(100)

  • How to remove a virus that is reported to be in the text animation files of Captivate 8

    The virus protection program ClamAV is reporting a virus Swf.Exploit.CVE_2014_0564-2 exploit. in several of the Captivate program files that are located in the programs/Adobe folder (some of the text animations swf files, interaction files, and widget files- there are several text animation files that are not infected). Here is an update on this issue. Maybe it will help someone else. After many months of working with Adobe support, they finally helped me to remove all viruses from my computer. This included Adobe Captivate cleaning up their Captivate 8 code and removing the Swf.Exploit.CVE_2014_0564-2 virus from their Captivate program files. As my research showed, the danger with this virus is that it seems to be dormant until a visit to a website that activates it and then it can destroy all your data (that terrified me when I read that and I made sure I had lots of backups in the Cloud). I got lucky and it did not get activated.
    As it turns out, it's not only the text animation files but also the widget animation files. Following is the final correspondence with Adobe. I hope the links work too.
    These are the fixed program files that Adobe uploaded for me to access https://www.dropbox.com/sh/cyelu2yvkc0f521/AADRYR3X0n3nM7lmIUNMQokWa?dl=0. However, do not use the "text animations folder", there was a little bug left and they sent me a replacement for the text animations here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ymen27rrba75mc2/AABwsQjCmxdQHvkSx5Kjybo_a?dl=0
    These are the steps they had me take and it worked for me.
    Download and extract the SWF Animations from the TextAnimations folder
    Take a back-up of the old animations which are located at “<Captivate Installation Dir>\Gallery\TextAnimations\” and “<Captivate Installation Dir>\Gallery\Widgets\”
    Replace the existing animations with the new ones in the same folder
    Open your Captivate project and delete all the old animations which were inserted, and then close Captivate.
    Even though the animations have been deleted, Captivate still holds them as internal resources. Hence, the following tool must be run :
    Download and extract the files in the CCFix folder(Win 32-bit or Win 64-bit)
    Place AdobeCaptivateFix.exe, CleanResources.bat and CPProjectsNSlides.dll in the Installation folder of Captivate 8.1
    Run CleanResources.bat
    Captivate opens in a special mode, where you get a file browser.
    Choose the files to be fixed and proceed. The fixed cptx files will be placed in the same location as the original. A “_fixed” suffix is added to the new cptx.
    Captivate automatically exits after this.Your file is now fixed.
    Now open the fixed project and replace all the deleted text animations with the new ones.
    I scanned my computer with ClamWin again and it still found the virus. This time it was in the Captivate Cache. Maybe it was from fixing the old files. I deleted all Captivate Cache files and I no longer got a positive Swf.Exploit.CVE_2014_0564-2 found report from ClamWin. YIPPPIEEEEE!
    It took almost 200 hours of effort to repair infected files. What I don't understand is how Adobe can have a virus in their Captivate program files and then make us fix the infected files manually. I have asked them to write a program to fix infected files (how hard can that be to automate the steps they gave me?). I never got a response.  That seems really sad.

  • How do I add a swf from captivate into muse

    I have created a swf in captivate and need to add this to muse.  How do I do this?

    Hi,
    Please refer to the following link http://forums.adobe.com/message/5087131
    Regards,
    Aish

  • Animations imported into Captivate 5.5 not playing correctly.

    This issue started when I tried to open a Cp 5 project in Cp 5.5.  The animations don't play at all if the "Synchronize with Project" option is On and the anmiation starts at 0 sec on the timeline. Also, there is a visible "blink" between animations on the same slide and between slides.
    I've been using Cp 5 for about a year and have worked out my issues with it so these are the things that AREN'T wrong:  The transitions for slides and swfs are set to "No Transitions," there is no space between swfs on the timeline that would be making the "blink," there are no blank frames at the end of the timeline in the swf files(inside of Flash), the swfs are AS3, they are only as long as their original timeline, my Preferences are set to no fades on Start and End slides, and my timelines do not extend beyond their content to show white space.
    The files work fine in Cp 5.  The file animation links are also randomly missing/broken when brought into Cp 5.5 and even after I re-establish them, they periodically turn red (not up to date).
    So I figured, "Maybe I can't work with previous version files.  I'll just start a new blank project in Cp 5.5." Right? . . . Not right.  Swfs still aren't visible when published if they are set to "Synchronize with Project" AND start at the 0 sec mark.  They still "blink" between swfs and slides.  So maybe I can't use Flash 5 files in Cp 5.5 either.  If that is the case, this upgrade was a waste of time and money and should not have been released until these MAJOR issues were resolved.
    Someone from support is looking into it, but so far the only advice that I got was "Turn the Sync option off and fade into your next animations."  What?! The sync option is very important because that keeps your animations playing correctly when people scrub the playhead.  If Cp 5.5 is programmed to do that automatically, then why keep the option button?  If not, do you really expect me to NOT want my animations to play consistently when people drag around the playhead?  As for the fading, maybe fading out after every animation swf is not an option for me, maybe I need it to be seamless.  And to that I was told, "Put all your animations together in one Flash file." Duh, but that was how this needing Cp to assemble my separate swfs started in the first place. If any of you have tried importing 3D rendered pngs into Flash, you know that you can only have so many frames before the program can't handle the load and crashes.  I can only support aoubt 250-300 frames of optimized pngs before Flash crashes on me and thats WITH 16GB of ram on a new 64 bit operating system.
    If anyone has had this issue and found a fix or some kind of pending patch, please let me know, because by now, I'm wanting a refund.

    Captivate 5 was a total rewrite from the Captivate 4 software architecture and it introduced a subtle but fundamental change in the way that Flash animations were handled in Captivate published content.
    Basically the change means that if your animation was built down a level or two inside a symbol rather than on the main timeline at the top level, then you will find that Captivate 5 or 5.5 loads and executes the animation on the first slide of the movie. This means that by the time you get to the actual slide where you WANTED the animation to perform it's magic, it's already run and finished.
    In Captivate 4 this did not happen.  The animation was not really loaded until later in the movie timeline so as to be ready for the slide where it was required.  It didn't matter if the animation was buried inside a symbol or not.
    You have two choices:
    Revamp your animation so that it all happens on the main timeline in the Flash FLA file that generates it.
    Get your Flash programmer to add some ActionScript code to the animation so that it does NOT play completely when first loaded at the beginning of the project at runtime.
    I agree that Captivate would have been regarded as less of a beast if this change had NOT been made, as users only find out about it AFTER upgrading projects with animations built as symbols.  However, I have to trust that if the change was introduced, there must have been a very good reason.

  • Swf on captivate slide too big

    I created a flash animation that looks like movie credits --
    text which scrolls from bottom to top. The flash animation is 590 x
    150. The published swf file looks fine. But when I put it on a
    Captivate slide (with Insert>Animation) where the Captivate
    project is 630 x 425 , the animation object ignores its 590x150
    size and plays full screen, moving over the top of other elements
    on the slide. I've checked the animation properties--the size of
    the object is set to 590 x 150.
    How can I make it play at the size I intended?

    Did you create the SWF in Flash and then embed it in
    Captivate? If so, did you publish the Flash SWF for the same Flash
    Player version as your Captivate movie. For example, if you are
    publishing your Captivate movie for FP7, did you also publish your
    Flash SWF for FP7 (or earlier)?
    If your Flash SWF is for v8, and your Captivate movie is for
    v7, then that MIGHT be the problem.

  • How to control adobe flash files with sliders and buttons

    Hi,
    I am trying to make a front panel for a vehicle completely designed in flash, and control it through labview.  I can load a flash file into an activex container successfully.  I have followed this thread here http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=351719  and gotten everything working.
    But my question is, how can I send data to the flash file from labview?  Some examples of things I need to do:  Interpret a CAN signal and have some text appear on the screen, Make buttons flash, etc.
    I understand how to load the swf, Im just not sure how to communicate with it.  One thing to mention is that the front panel for the vehicle will be fully custom coded.  However in the meantime, I am trying to figure out how to control it from labview.  Like if there is a clock.swf out on the net, how can I change the time from labview?  Is there a way to see what parameters are available for changing?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello,
    What specific Active X framework are you using to embed the container? The thread you referenced mentions Shockwave's Active X API, does this set of Active X functions expose methods for object control?
    Could you elaborate as to the driver behind a fully Flash based front panel embedded within LabVIEW? Is this application inevitably going to be deployed as thin client software?
    For interaction with custom flash applications aside from Active X, LabVIEW has an integrated Web Services feature to allow data transfer from custom thin client applications to the LabVIEW environment for processing and instrument control. A detailed discussion of the Web Services feature may be found via the links below:

  • Toolkit for CreateJS: How to control the main timeline from outside the canvas.

    Hey Everyone,
    I'm currently trying to do something simple, but my animation breaks whenever I attempt to change my code. I have created a basic animation in Flash where an object moves from the left side of the canvas, to the right, and then loops from the last frame to the first frame. Nothing else. The animation is simply put on the main timeline. I exported the animation with Toolkit for CreateJS through Flash's extension and the animation runs as it should. I am trying to start and stop (restarting from the first frame) the animation with mouse over and mouse off events. I want the events to fire when moused over/off a div OUTSIDE the animation's canvas tag. Is this possible with CreateJS? I'm trying to figure out how to control the main timeline without being inside the canvas tag.
    Example HTML:
    http://www.thephotoncore.com/testing/example_test.html
    Example Code:
    <section id="container">
      <canvas id="canvas" width="550" height="400" style="background-color:#cccccc"></canvas>
      <section id="animation_control">
        <p>Roll over to start and stop animation.</p>
      </section>
    </section>
    Thanks again for the help!

    Hi DjPhantasy5,
    All movieclips on the stage are children of the stage,
    So on the "mouseover" all movieclips on the stage could be stopped with stop and on the "mouseout" all children could be restarted with gotoAndPlay like this:
    function Stop()
              if (stage && stage.children)
                        var i, l = stage.children.length;
                        for (i = 0; i < l; i++)
                                  var child = stage.children[i];
                                  if ("stop" in child)
                                            child.stop();
    function Restart()
              if (stage && stage.children)
                        var i, l = stage.children.length;
                        for (i = 0; i < l; i++)
                                  var child = stage.children[i];
                                  if ("gotoAndPlay" in child)
                                            child.gotoAndPlay(0);
    See http://www.liauw.nl/forums/adobe/djfantasy5/index.html
    But it is also possible to expose "ball1", for example, by adding it to the document.
    This can be done by adding code to "ball1" like so:
    /* js
    document.ball1 = this;
    Then the stopping of the animation would look like:
    function Stop()
         if ("ball1" in document)
              document.ball1.stop();
    etc.
    Have fun!

  • Applying different URL's to animated SWF Document

    Hi there
    Can someone please help, i am working in Illustrator to create animated SWF files.  These need to contain a URL.  I have read the forums and found out how to do this for a flat non animated SWF file and this works, howerver when exporting Ai layers to SWF it doesnt work.
    Ideally i want to apply different URL's for each frame of the animation...but will settle for just having a single URL at the moment!!!
    Am i able to do this in Illustrator or do i need a different package?
    Thanks
    Simon.

    Forget it. It doesn't fit in thze "slice" model of AI and PS. What you want requires and event-centric approach and that can be done in Flash Catalyst, Fireworks and InDesign - that is, the soon to be released CS5 versions. A public Beta of Flash Catalyst is still avialable on Adobe Labs, so give it a spin. Otherwise use Flash or do your multi-link banner/ graphic "the proper way" by using JavaScript with jQuery and focusing on doing this all within native HTML/ CSS.

Recently I made changes in sales order like payment terms is grayed, system will atomatically pick pay terms from customer master.Now I am getting correct data also but enduser is using old SO no while creating new SO and old payment data is reflecting in fbl5n.
    I want to restrict enduser while creating new SO with ref. to old SO. Only for returns they should be able to use Billing refrence. Pl. suggest how to control the with reference to ealier SO.
    Nikhil

    Nikhil Deshpande,
          If you dont want allow create a sales order in referent to other one, just delete the copy control between these sales order type, so when the user tries to create a SO in reference to other one a message is displayed that is not possible.
    Thanks,
    Mariano.
