REFRESH-CONTROL

Hi,
I have one screen with two tabstrips, one of them contains a chart and the other an ALV. If I leave the screen from the chart-tab and call it again, everything is ok. But when I leave it while ALV-Tab is active and call it again, the alv shows the values from the first call.
I already tried to refresh the Tab-Control before calling again with "REFRESH CONTROL 'tabver' FROM SCREEN '9400'.
The error I got is:
CONTROL_NAME_TOO_LONG
Could anybody help?

the name of my tabstrip control is:
CONTROLS: tab_verbr TYPE TABSTRIP.
The used dynpro is: 9400.
now I tried following:
REFRESH CONTROL tab_verbr FROM SCREEN '9400'.
and got the error:
"Control-Name "TS_VER1 TS_VER1" is to long."

For example, I would like to limit the user to navigate in a data range of 8 hours.

Hi Pedro,
as far as I know, this is not possible using the time controls on an iChart. However, you may have some success by using your own time controls which call JavaScript methods exposed by the applet.
For example, you could begin by hiding the time and calendar buttons on an iChart, and creating some buttons of your own. For instance, to set the start date of a query (and thus the start date of the iChart using the query), you can use the following:
document.getElementById("appletID").getQueryObject().setStartDate(<date string>);
Using code like the above (look into the xMII script assistant and documentation), you should be able to build time controls which satisfy your requirements. The exact format of <date string> in the sample above will depend on the date format defined in the query template this script calls.

It will solve your problem.
Write the code for 'Cancel' in PAI and refresh your internal table under this code and see to it that the internal table is not populated again in the PBO.

Capture date change event of Time Refresh Control

Is there any possible way by which we can capture the date change event from the time refresh control of iGrid?

Ok lets do it this way.
I have a page in which i am having radio button for date selection say YTD, MTD and so.
In the page i have a frame in which an iGrid is coming up with some data based on the time period selected on the page.
Now if i change the date from the time refresh control of the iGrid in the frame i want to uncheck the radio button seleted on the page as now its not YTD or MTD or whatever selected previously.
Is there any possible way to do this?

VNC: no screen refresh controlling Lion Server

Hello all.
I have a Mac Mini running Lion Server. It shares a monitor with a PC using an IOGear DVI KVM switch.
Usually I can use VNC remotely to control the Mac Mini when it is connected to the KVM switch.
However sometimes I need to grab the cables from the Mac Mini (USB and monitor) and plug them into a local laptop so I can use the monitor.
When I'm doing this and try to connect to the Mac Mini via VNC, all I get is a black screen, sometimes with a little square that shows the underlying desktop.
No matter what I do through VNC (or ARD for that matter), I cannot get the Mac Mini's screen to refresh, making it impossible to use a remote connection.
This condition goes away once the monitor and USB cables are plugged back in to the Mac Mini.
Any ideas whether this is a local problem with Lion? Can it be resolved through some configuration change?

Screen sharing is broken for me as well, trying to access a mac mini server (was snow leopard - is now Lion) from an iMac using the Lion server admin tools. It says "Connecting to "192.168.1.7"" but never connects.
SSH connects though so perhaps you can wrestle control of the server using the terminal.
I can't use the machine locally, the keyboard and mouse are unresponsive and there is no hdmi output to the Sony Bravia that its connected to.
I'm pretty close to doing a full re-install but I need to track down some urls posted on one of the blogs that the server was running first.

Refresh control hints lables after change the locale

I want to give the user the facility to change the display language, so i made an event on a Data Action that change both HTTP session locale and Application Module session locale
the code is :

ADF CreateInsert and Iterator refresh control

I have a scenario where i have dragged and dropped updatable EMPLOYEESVIEW as a form on my page with fields EMP_ID (Invisible on JSPX page)and EMP_NAME.
and have buttons called ADD EMPLOYEE and SAVE.
I enter the Value to EMP_NAME input Text box and Click on "ADD EMPLOYEE" button
On click of ADD EMPLOYEE button i m Setting the value of EMP_ID through java method and invoking createInsert Operation like this.
And i Have set Immediate property of CreateInsert button as True also "ADD EMPLOYEE" button has immediate Property set to true, since i want to show User entered EMP_NAME text on the screen bcos i need to give use an option to Edit.

here i m invoking the Operation CreateInsert and Though I would have inserted the value of EMP_ID programmatically as soon as i click on CreaetInsert/ Invoke CreateInsert Operation the Binding EMP_ID becomes Empty.
Because of which when i say "Commit" It throws me an error saying "Null cannot be inserted into EMP_ID since its primary Key"
How to retain the Value of EMP_ID binding?
Is it anything to do with the refresh condition which i m suppose to set for EMPLOYESSVIEWITERATOR????

On click of "+ Click to Add" button i m setting integration id and i click the button createInsert pro grammatically and in the front page if i call commit it says null value cannot be inserted into INTEGRATION ID.

How to handle this?

Exit from dataforwardAction without refresh control for Binding Container

Sir's months ago i posted ADF Struts life clycle
and i though that i had corrected my problem. but last Friday analyzing my bc4j log file i realize that my bindingContainer is still executing my views objects queries;
What i want, is just exit from adf life cycle if some session variable was not there, forwarding to an login page, or some other page.

I do not have this issue when using my iMac and in Target Display Mode, so I suspect you are just seeing your screen saver/password since your iMac has been idle while you have been using the Mac mini.
You can either eliminate the enter password from screen saver via the System Preferences -> Security, or change the period of time when the screen saver kicks in via System Preferences -> Desktop & Screen Saver.
Sharing the keyboard is a bit tricky. I'm wondering if maybe you could do something with Teleport.

You might want to consider maybe just accessing your Mac mini via Screen Sharing, and then you control it totally from your iMac. Just take the Screen Sharing full screen, and it will be almost as if you are using Target Display mode, only you will be using the iMac's keyboard and mouse/trackpad.

Battery and background refresh control issue in iOS8

Hello,
I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS8 yesterday night. This morning my battery was at 100% battery when I arrived at the office at 8, and after 4 hours, it dropped to 23% without any specific usage, only receiving few emails.
When I went to the battery usage, I see that background activity is using the battery from Facebook and Hangouts apps. But I go to the Background App Refresh menu, I see that I already deactivated the background refresh for these two apps (see screenshots below).
I bought my iPhone 5 in July this year. It was completely new.
Is there any issue with Background App Refresh settings?
Why is my battery dropping so fast?

PanelBinding: refresh control

hi forum,
I have a jFrame composed by a master-detail table.
I added to the navigationbar 2 more buttons in order to perform the insert and delete records in the master table. I couldn't use the buttons of the navigationbar(JUNavigationBar) because i have to execute some tasks before inserting or deleting a record.
My problem is that i don't see the record i have just inserted and i still see the record i have deleted unless i close the Jframe and i start it up again.
I have tryed to use statements like
panelBinding.refreshControl();
but it doesn't seem to work.
There is anybody that can give me the right statement?

Try the navBar.getModel() methods executeQuery() or executeQueryIfNecessary(). They should refresh the cache behind your ViewObject.

Hi,
As per my understanding, you need to display the 2nd Table Control with fresh data every time you click the OK Command Button. So, you need to REFRESH the Table Control in the 2nd screen every time the PBO is triggered based on the OK Command Button. You can use the following code to Refresh the Table Control.
Syntax :
REFRESH CONTROL contrl FROM SCREEN dynnr.

Update internal table data from table control

Hi GURUS,
I need help regarding one of my requirement.
I need to display data from the internal table on the screen and when the user selects a record/multiple records from screen and clicks on approve button i need to update one of the field from N to Y in the corresponding Ztable. Once the record is updated from Ztable , that should no longer be visible for the user on the screen.
I am using table control wizard to display data. I am able to update the Ztable, but that record is not refreshing from the user screen. Any suggestions would be approved.
Also please let me know if table control is the best way to do this/ alv grid control??

How to add new field to table control data not displayed

I have added some nwe fields to already existing table control added three new fields...
though the recoreds are inserted in teh table properly with the three new fields user id data and time fields
but on display only the data is not shown in these three columns though the data is coming in internal table...but not to the screen output

First try the small button Configuration on top right of the table control, as displayed when you run the program. Hit 'Administrator' and see if the fields are checked as invisible. Uncheck them, activate and save.
If the fields are not in that list at all, then check if the table control is initialized for the screen you use. For example
CONTROLS: tc_ent_lines TYPE TABLEVIEW USING SCREEN '0100'.
but you copied your screen and use the same table control in the new screen 0200. Then all you have to do is
REFRESH CONTROL 'TC_ENT_LINES' FROM SCREEN '0200'.
before you show the screen.

Hi Moni,
The problem as I had replied in your earlier post is with the MODIFY statement.
MODIFY TABLE ITAB FROM ITAB. This statement will do the modifications based on the table key. When you have character fields as editable, then some problems are to be anticipated. In such a scenario, you must update the internal table based on the index, rather than based on key.
So consider using
MODIFY ITAB FROM ITAB INDEX TCL-CURRENT_LINE.
Where TCL is the name of the Table Control. Also observe the difference in syntax here, don't use the TABLE keyword for the MODIFY statement.
Please try it out and let me know.

My sorting is working fine but thr is small problem
1. user has habit of pressing enter after everything,
 after entering the values in editable fields in Table control , it doesnt retain the entered values but if he presses save button immediately after entering values , it saves .
how 2 hold the values after pressing enter button
2. Now with this code , it saves the table control content but doesnt display the latest values immediately on the screen .
3. User doesnt want to press SAVE button , he wants save the Table control content by pressing ENTER button,
What is the OK_CODE value for Enter Button plz ?

now i m able 2 get the latest edited values from user immediately i press enter button and getting saved by pressing SAVE button but further problems are, i have one dropdown button for status 1 field , and 1 date field are not getting updated .
