Annotation processing using JDK 1.6 and Apache Ant

Hello,
I am trying to run my annotation processor using ant.
I already built the processor, the javax.annotation.processor.Processor file is in the correct place with the correct content.
The jar with the processor is in the classpath (i can see it in ant -v), but it does not process my classes. in fact, i get the warning:
warning: Annotation processing without compilation requested but no processors were found.Do i have to specify -processor or -processorpath or can i just leave it to the default classpath scanning?
I think everything is in the correct place, because when i compile with maven instead of ant, specifying the processor, it runs nicely. My pom contains:
               <plugin>
                    <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
                    <artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
                    <configuration>
                         <source>1.6</source>
                         <target>1.6</target>
                         <compilerArguments>
                              <processor>br.com.sonner.infra.seguranca.SegurancaAnnotationProcessor</processor>
                         </compilerArguments>
                    </configuration>
               </plugin>i am using jdk 1.0.6_02 and ant 1.7.0.
Can anyone help me find out what am i doing wrong?

In addition to the class files of the process, to allow your processor to be found as a service, make sure you've also provided the needed META-INF data in the jar file. The general service file format is described in
http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/util/ServiceLoader.html
That said, I'd recommend setting an explicit processor path separate from your general classpath.

  • Annotation-Processing Using Custom ClassLoader Fails

    Hi,
    I have the following problem concerning annotations.
    I am using Jaxb2 to marshal some classes and Jaxb relies heavily on processing annotation information contained in them.
    If I put the Jaxb JAR's directly in the classpath everything works fine.
    However, if I use a custom URLClassLoader to load all the Jaxb-related classes the annotation processing fails thus making Jaxb believe that the objects can't be marshaled.
    Note that the classes to marshal containing the annotations to read are loaded with a different ClassLoader which is higher in the hierarchy.
    I tracked down the problems to the class RuntimeInlineAnnotationReader of the Jaxb API which simply calls Class.getAnnotion(..).
    When searching for this bug I also found the bug report 5015623 which relates to this problem. But it is rather outdated, so I hope that there are some better solutions than just ignoring it.
    I wouldn't like having the Jaxb JARs on the global classpath 'cause they are used in only one class out of 100 and thats not worth the possible conflicts with other 3rd party libs.
    Best regards,
    beebop

    No problem, I will give you some details about my architecture.
    First of all I encapsulated the code which uses the Jaxb-API in one class, say Foo, which implements the interface FooInterface.
    Secondly I load the Foo class in another class, Bar, using my derivation of URLClassLoader, called MyClassLoader. Then I use the interface to marshal an object gen of type GenClass where GenClass was generated using xjc:
    class Bar {
      void method(URL[] urls, GenClass gen) {
        ClassLoader parent = Bar.class.getClassLoader();
        ClassLoader myCL = new MyClassLoader(urls,parent);
        Class clazz = myCL.loadClass("Foo");
        FooInterface foo = (FooInterface)clazz.newInstance();
        foo.marshal(gen);
    }So my class loader will be a child of the current class loader. The delegation model of class loading is reversed in MyClassLoader so that first the urls will be checked and then, if the class was not found, the parent class loader.
    Note that GenClass and its ObjectFactory which acutally contain the annotations Jaxb needs will be loaded by the current class loader, not my own. All classes of the Jaxb-API will be loaded by MyClassLoader. If I try to marshal gen, the annotations of the ObjectFactory corresponding to GenClass won't be readable causing the Class.getAnnotation(...) method called in the class RuntimeInlineAnnotationReader to return null.
    If I don't use my own class loader, say
    FooInterface foo = new Foo();everything works fine and the annotations of the ObjectFactory are loaded correctly.
    I observed the different behaviour by stepping through the classes and methods around JaxbContext.newInstance(...).
    MyClassLoader is not that different from URLClassLoader, only the loadClass method is overridden to change the delegation behaviour. Thats why I suspect an error in the annotations framework and not in my class loader but I may be mistaken.

  • Cookie will not write using weblogic 5.1 and Apache

              Hi,
              I'm having problems having my application write cookies under the UNIX environment. It works fine under
              the NT environment. Could this be a problem with the Apache plugin and weblogic 5.1???
              Under the UNIX environment, it will not write to the cookies at all. Is it because I have weblogic and apache

  • Jar not running is sarge and apache-ant  shows error of package not found

    Hello,
    First of all I am not a java programmer. I work in C/C++/C#.
    Currently I am dealing a game written in java (1.5) using netbeans 5.5.0 under windows xp. My target is to compile in my development machine and run in the clients machine. everything works fine in windows xp. I open the netbeans ide, load the necessary class libraries, build the project and run it. it runs without any problem.
    The problem begins when I run the same project from linux (fedora). it doest not run. It shows some error.
    <error platform="fedora 7">

    But when I open this same project in netbeans and resolve the dependencies with class libraries it works ok after compiling.
    I can run it from console (java -jar ...)

    I see that netbeans uses ant to compile project in the background.
    then I tried using ant to compile.
    doing only `#ant compile` where build.xml resides does the compilation.
    after that I try to run it (by java -jar ...). again the above error shows up.
    What would I do?
    If I compile it with netbeans in machine A then it runs well in A but not in machine B.
    If I compile it with ANT in machine A then it doesn't run in A, no chance for machine B.
    the contents of my build xml is here

    -post-init: called after initialization of project properties
    -pre-compile: called before javac compilation

    -pre-jar: called before JAR building
    -post-jar: called after JAR building
    -post-clean: called after cleaning build products
    (Targets beginning with '-' are not intended to be called on their own.)
    Example of inserting an obfuscator after compilation could look like this:
    <target name="-post-compile">

    <fileset dir="${build.classes.dir}"/>
    </obfuscate>
    </target>
    For list of available properties check the imported

    Another way to customize the build is by overriding existing main targets.
    The targets of interest are:
    -init-macrodef-javac: defines macro for javac compilation
    -init-macrodef-junit: defines macro for junit execution
    -init-macrodef-debug: defines macro for class debugging
    -init-macrodef-java: defines macro for class execution

    -do-jar-without-manifest: JAR building (if you are not using a manifest)
    run: execution of project
    -javadoc-build: Javadoc generation
    test-report: JUnit report generation
    An example of overriding the target for project execution could look like this:
    <target name="run" depends="NetBeansApplication-impl.jar">
    <exec dir="bin" executable="launcher.exe">
    <arg file="${dist.jar}"/>
    </exec>
    </target>
    Notice that the overridden target depends on the jar target and not only on
    the compile target as the regular run target does. Again, for a list of available
    properties which you can use, check the target you are overriding in the
    nbproject/build-impl.xml file.

    Hello,
    I am trying to run my annotation processor using ant.
    I already built the processor, the javax.annotation.processor.Processor file is in the correct place with the correct content.
    The jar with the processor is in the classpath (i can see it in ant -v), but it does not process my classes. in fact, i get the warning:
    warning: Annotation processing without compilation requested but no processors were found.Do i have to specify -processor or -processorpath or can i just leave it to the default classpath scanning?When -processor is not given, a service loader is used to find the annotation processors (if any).

  • How to configure CVC automation process using SNP master data and BI customer master data

    Hi Gurus,
    How to configure CVC automation in MPOS structure technically, using SNP master data in CVC creation such as Product and location details
    and in parallel extract date from ECC to BI customer master data in DP. Where-in a APO BI cube should have only new combinations which are to be validated with ECC and existing combinations in the MPOS structure before creation of CVC in different regions of MPOS.
    Second the automation should also check certain validations of product, location and are part of SNP-ECC master data and are these new combinations.
    Could someone guide us in this process.
    Thanks
    Kumar

    Praveen,
    The short answer is to move the data into infoproviders or flat files for all of the 'characteristic-type' source data; and then copy CVCs from the infoproviders into the Planning area, probably using one or more Process Chains (program /SAPAPO/TS_PLOB_MAINTAIN).
    The long answer is that this is not a trivial undertaking; this could end up being a pretty involved solution.  If you do not have enough BW/DP expertise available locally to create this solution for you, then I recommend you consider engaging external resources to assist you.  I personally wouldn't even consider starting to work on such a solution without first knowing a lot more about the detailed business requirements, and about any existing solutions that may already in place.  An SCN forum is not really suitable for such an answer.  In my opinion, the BBP doc alone would be 20+ pages, assuming no enhancements..

  • Slow DataBase Access using JDK 1.5 and MySQL

    Hi EveryBody,
    I am using Jdk1.5 in my project and mysql 5.0 as my database server.
    The problem is that, to create a connection for the first time it takes upto 20 to 25 seconds.
    when i use the 1.4.2 with the same mysql version it takes only 2 seconds.
    In both the cases i am using the JDBC driver (com.mysql.jdbc.Driver )
    I cannot understand the problem with the jdk1.5,
    so, please help me in resoving this issue.

    I encountered same problem with connecting Oralce.
    It's a bug of JDK1.5.
    You need upgrade JDK1.5 to latest version,or use IP address instead of machine name(such as locahost etc.).

  • Calling a JPD Process using the Stateless Container and EJBLocal Interfaces

    Hello all,
    We are trying to call a jpd process through EJBLocalcalls. Weblogic wrokshop generate a Stateless container through the one you can obtain the EJBLocalInterface as here:
    try {
    ServiceLocator serviceLocator = new ServiceLocator();
    StatelessContainer_LocalHomeImpl home = (StatelessContainer_LocalHomeImpl) serviceLocator.getLocalHome("PruebaWeb.processes.process.bean.StatelessContainer");
    processSLSBContIntf local = home.create();
    local.ClientRequest(...);
    } catch(ServiceLocatorException se) {
    return "JNDI ERROR" + se.getMessage();
    catch (CreateException ce) {
    return "CREATE ERROR" + ce.getMessage();
    ServiceLocator is a class that returns an EJBLocalHome instance from a ContextInterface.lookup() call. We pass the LOCAL_JNDI_NAME of the process as a parameter (this name is defined in weblogic-ejb-jar.xml of the process).
    Debugging we see that the type of this returned object is a StatelessContainer_LocalHomeImpl. We have made a cast from EJBLocalHome to this type in order to call the create() method.
    The create method returns a EJBLocal object with the methods of the process.
    We think that this is the good way to acces to the local EJB interface of a jpd process but the code throw a cast exception when we made the cast from EJBLocalHome object to a StatelessContainer_LocalHomeImpl.
    Could you help us??, What is the correct way to call a jpd process through a Local Interface???.
    NOTE: Obviously everything is in the same EAR applicattion in order to make the local calls.
    Thanks

    Hmm, my mistake. First, I thought that it has something to do with literal/document/rpc-style. But instead of using types for input/output message parts in the schema, I should have used elements - that´s all.
    Just for the notes :)

    JDK 1.4 is not supported yet. You have to use the certified versions.

  • Process using Webservice in Reader and Writer becomes slow while connecting processors

    Hi,
    I have a process that reads from a web service and writes to a web service. When I try to modify the code(after stopping the running process) by adding new processors or change the current connections, the connecting arrows take forever to connect and sometimes the director hangs for a long time. There is no issue in other processes where I read and write from staged data.
    How to overcome this isue?
    Appreciate the help!
    Regards,
    Ravi

    Hi Nick,
    Thanks for the advice. In the scenario where upgrade is not an option, is there any workaround to this issue?
    What I've found is if I strip the next processor of all its connections, then it gets connected to the previous processor pretty quick.
    EDQ hangs if the processor has other input/output connections and I try to connect it to another processor)
    P1>---<P2>    <P3 ---------- P2 to P3 connects fast as P3 is standalone
    P1>---<P2>    <P3>---<P4> ---------- In this case,  when I try to connect P2 to P3, it hangs forever.
    I've a complex process and just for adding a few processors in between, I will not be able to connect the rest of the processors all over.
    Regards,
    Ravi

    After getting this kind of error I have analyzed my code furhter then I came to know that there was problem with static include tag.
    In my jsp page I have used following line which is the main cause of error
    <%@ include file="top.jsp" %>If I ommit this line then it is working properly.
    Instead of static include I have used jsp:include also.
    Still I m getting same problem.
    We have to migrated from JDK 1.5 to 1.6 and Tomcat 5.0.28 to 6.0.14, still same problem is there.
    We have tried a lot but didnt get success to overcome this problem.
    If anybody having any solution then ur each reply will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance..........!!!!!!!

    Hi "mshanu" and "amit" Thanks for ur replies Here I m posting the code of "top.jsp"........!!!!
    <%@ page errorPage="errordisplay.jsp"%>
    <table cellpadding="0"
           cellspacing="0"  height=50 width=780>
           <tbody>
             <tr class="header">
               <td class="logo"><IMG SRC="assets/Logo.gif" BORDER=0 ALIGN=top></td>
               <td align="right"><span class="applicationtitle"><%@ include file="/contents/logo.htm" %></span><br>
               <span class="companyname"><%@ include file="/contents/companyname.htm" %></span></td>
             </tr>
            </tbody>
    </table>To include top.jsp I have tried
    <jsp:include page="top.jsp" flush="true">
    </jsp:include>
             AND
    <%@ include file="top.jsp"%>but none of this worked.
    If I remove the include then It is working properly.
    But I need inluded file too so that I am wondoring for the solution.
    This problem seems very wiered to me. I dont know why it is happening.
    This problem is started only when I used the TOMCAT 6.14.
    Is it the bug of TOMCAT 6.14 or What somebody Plz help.
    I got stuck here.........!!!!!!!!!!
    It doesn't seem any problem with top.jsp. As per my thinking the problem is there in include due to that it doesn't compile the JSP page in Tomcat 6.0.
    Earlier I am having same code running on the Tomcat 5.0.28 and JDK 1.5.0.

    Below taken directly from the v1.6x API java.awt.Font class doco:he Java Platform distinguishes between two kinds of fonts: physical fonts and
    logical fonts.
    Physical fonts are the actual font libraries containing glyph data and tables to
    map from character sequences to glyph sequences, using a font technology
    such as TrueType or PostScript Type 1. All implementations of the Java
    Platform must support TrueType fonts; support for other font technologies is
    implementation dependent. Physical fonts may use names such as Helvetica,
    Palatino, HonMincho, or any number of other font names. Typically, each
    physical font supports only a limited set of writing systems, for example, only
    Latin characters or only Japanese and Basic Latin. The set of available
    physical fonts varies between configurations. Applications that require specific
    fonts can bundle them and instantiate them using the createFont method.
    Logical fonts are the five font families defined by the Java platform which must
    be supported by any Java runtime environment: Serif, SansSerif, Monospaced,
    Dialog, and DialogInput. These logical fonts are not actual font libraries.
    Instead, the logical font names are mapped to physical fonts by the Java
    runtime environment. The mapping is implementation and usually locale
    dependent, so the look and the metrics provided by them vary. Typically, each
    logical font name maps to several physical fonts in order to cover a large range
    of characters.
    Peered AWT components, such as Label and TextField, can only use logical
    fonts.
    For a discussion of the relative advantages and disadvantages of using
    physical or logical fonts, see the Internationalization FAQ document.

  • Dynamic configuration in integration process using abap mapping

    Hi everybody,
    i have the following scenario:
    file adapter -> integration process -> file adapter
    The integration process uses an ABAP mapping and sets the filename in dynamic configuration as follows:
    *-- Set Parameter
        clear ls_dyn_record.
        ls_dyn_record-name      = gc_dyn_config_name.
        ls_dyn_record-namespace = gc_dyn_config_ns.
        ls_dyn_record-value     = <new_file_name>
    *-- Write configuration
        ir_dyn_config->add_record( ls_dyn_record ).
    But now the new filename is not reflected in the file adapter (receiver). In the integration monitor (SXMB_MONI) i still find the old filename.
    Whats wrong?
    Elko

    The ABAP mapping is more complex, setting filename in Dyn. Conf. is just one step in mapping.
    If I check the Workflow protocol of the Integration Process, I find the following in the Trace of the ABAP-Mapping:
    The filename has been set to 3233340.SWNF00HW.P10I. The Suffix P10I has been added in the ABAP mapping.
    When I check the subsequent message in SXMB_MONI I find:
    The added suffix is missing in the filename !!

  • WSDK 5.0, JDK 1.4 and JSSE

    WSDK 5.0 (Web Services Development Kit, by IBM) sample applications show how to set up the environment if using JDK 1.4 and JSSE as a seperate package, however JSSE is now integrated into JDK 1.4 and therefore setting up the environment is different. Eventhough I'm setting the protocol:
    System.setProperty("java.protocol.handler.pkgs", "com.sun.net.ssl.internal.www.protocol")
    I'm still getting:
    org.uddi4j.transport.TransportException: no protocol
    Please if anyone could point me to a sample application that sets up the environment based on JDK 1.4 or let me know what else I need to do to set up the environment, I would really appreciate it.
    thanks
