Annoying Robotic Voice on Phone

I have a Motorola Rival and don't like listening to the annoying robotic voice which speaks every time I scroll to a new function.  How do I de-activate it without putting the entire phone on silent?

Go to your phone's main Menu >> Phone Settings >> Voice Commands >> Prompts and make your selections. Mine are set to tones only.
Another route to get there is Menu >> Tools >> Voice Commands >>then right soft key Settings >> look at the options available and make your selections.

Try one of the Audio Voice Effects like Alien / Cosmic / Robot… etc. to start with…
Adjust the Settings in the Inspector to your liking…

  • Blue Yeti Pro Microphone robot voice

For some reason when I record using my Blue Yeti Pro microphone, it's a lot of times a robot voice. I really can't figure out what's the problem, no matter what USB wire I use. I often record my screen using Screenflow, it records it like a robot voice, since a few days, before it didn't do that. I've tried connecting the USB to my keyboard and my mac, it doesn't work, sometimes it won't even output or input anything. Also when I skype or use teamspeak, other say that after a while I sound like a robot, this really bugs me, I just recorded over 3 hours for youtube, after I had finished, I realised my voice was like a robot all the time, I raelly get ****** of this.

    Hi Tom,
    Long shot, but...
Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back

  • Since when did Siri get a robotic voice?

I don't know if this is an issue with 6.0.1, or the full restore I did on the iPhone 5, or Apple tweaked something when they launched iTunes 11, but Siri suddenly sounds horrible. She sounds like the robot voice from a late 90's automated customer service menu. Is there a fix in the works? Why isn't this being publicized? It's been observed on my device for over 24 hours.

It is an issue with your iOS install/restore not iOS in general. Restore it again.

  • Anything new on the Robot Voice in Mumble, Ventrilo?

I still get the laughable but unintellible Robot Voice when usng Mumble (it also happens in Ventrilo) sporadically while gaming. Wondering if there are any solutions yet. I've posted about this before and read all I can from others with the same issues and no joy.... It goes away as fast as it appears but it's bad if I'm saying "Heal me! Heal me!"
iMac 27" all up to date as of 5/11/12, maxed on RAM...
    Thanks and Game On!

Hmm. Has that actually worked for anyone? The posts I've read here (at least for those w/o Snow Leopard) only mention it as something that HASN'T.
Has method of putting the computer to sleep had any relevance? Is this something I should take to some level of official Apple folk? I really hope they're working on it (it seems to have existed in Leopard for quite a while now, though if it's happening more often with Snow Leopard, I'm hoping that creates new impetus).

  • Robotic voice narrates everything I do on my Leopard

A few days ago, a voice suddenly started speaking from my computer (Mac Leopard) as I type. I have never experienced this up until now (the computer is only a few months old) and it still works fine, only I have this robotic voice chiming in as I type. How do I get rid of this?

In system preferences there's a Universal button. turn off voice over.

  • Robotic voice won't shut up!

This happens if I plug earbuds in iPod while it's playing a song: loud robotic voice reads my menus drowning out music. How can I turn it off?

I have received 3 answers to my question. All are either wrong or somehow don't apply to my iPod Touch or my version of iTunes. I have the latest version of iTunes and I'm assuming that I'm getting updates to my iPod Touch software when I plug it into my computer. I have OS 10.6.8.
•The first suggests that I access iTunes and go to a Sync menu. I can't find any Sync menu either under Preferences or the menu bar at the top. Or for that matter under the Devices column at the left. Under Devices showing my iPod there is an Info menu which has some Sync settings, but no VoiceOver.
•The second suggests that I go to Settings (presumabley in the iPod) and find Accessibility under the General menu. There is no item 'Accessibility' under the General menu.
•The third says to hold the Home button until the Voice Control screen appears. When I hold down the Home button no Voice Control screen (or anything else) appears.
Perhaps I'm overlooking something. That happens to me often. But so far none of the suggestions has worked. I would love to hear what I'm doing wrong. Perhaps if someone could be more precise in outlining exactly how to find the VoiceOver checkbox. Thanx.

  • Speaking sounds like a Roboter Voice

    My New iphone5
Sometimes the Voice Sounds like a Roboter while I am talking. I restarted the phone and also tried to reconnected ist with iTunes.. What else can i do?

I'm running the sound through a behringer mixing board, but it doesn't have any effects on it. I'm just running it from that through to the input in the mac. Don't have any other audio interface.

  • Robotic voice messages

Hi there!  I have a Skype phone number that I pay for on a yearly basis and top up with minutes once or twice a month.  With that service comes voicemail, which up to this point, has worked flawlessly.  However, recently voicemail messages have come through sounding robotic or digitized, and are almost impossible to understand.  I called the number myself and left one to confirm that it's all voicemails that are affected.  Any ideas as to why they would sound like that?  I have updated to the most recent version of Skype.  Thanks!

Exchangeis the message store, the messages are stored in the appropriate user's inbox.
In case of a Voicemail only Unity server, exchange is installed in the Unity box itself (typically, though Exchange can be installed offbox too). In this case voicemails will be stored in the Unity server itself.
In case of Unified messaging (or voice messaging with offbox exchange) , the message store has to be installed offbox, which means voicemails are stored in the Exchange server.
When the connection between Unity and Exchange is broken, Unity starts storing messages in UMR (local to the Unity server) and when the connection is restored, it pushes the messages back to Exchange.

  • Don't want voice but phone keeps asking me!!

    Hello all,
Got an n95 and just updated the maps. Tried to use the navigation but phone asks about voice guidance. Get 2 options, purchase or exit. Don't want to purchase, so exit, and it leaves the whole "start navigation" process. Am I doing anything wrong or do I have to buy voice to use the navigation??!!

Unfortunately yes, you do have to buy to use navigation. I know the they call it voice navigation but they really just mean navigation.
You can however still still track your location by going to Find Location>GPS Location
The cursor will show you your current location on the map and that's it.

  • Cannot seem to delete voice mailbox - phone is still lit up red

I have CUCM and Unity both are 8.6 and I moved an extension and deleted the vm mailbox and vm on this extension.  The problem is the phone handset is still red even after unplugging it and reregistering the phone.  How can I fix this?  We dont need a voice mailbox on this extension.  Any help would be great.  Thanks

    Hi there,
    I agree with Sreekanth (+5)
In  CUCM look up the MW-Off number (Feature>Voicemail>Message  Waiting>Directory Number>Message Waiting Indicator Off )
This  will be a Directory Number like perhaps 2600. Go to the phone, press  the Line button, dial 2600 and the MWI Lamp/Icon will turn off.
Or if you need to do this via remote then you can temporarily re-create a mailbox for the DN in question. Get it set up, send a test message, listen to and delete the message, then wait a minute before deleting the mailbox and you should be good to go.
    Cheers!
