Ant taskdef issues - PPPackTask

My problem is this:
I am trying to run build.xml which contains a reference to PPPackTask and AntLogger(AntLogger is just for testing purpose - I know it is not ant task). Both are ant classes which resides in antpluginutil.jar.
When trying to run build.xml, I get the following error(taskdef class com.sap.tc.buildplugin.pp.pack.PPPackTask cannot be found). However, the build.xml finds com.sap.tc.buildplugin.techdev.ant.util.AntLogger.
My classpath setting is correct in the global Ant classpath variable. Anyway, since AntLogger is found it is not a classpath issue. It is obviously finding the antpluginutil.jar.
My second thought was that PPPackTask might be corrupt or buggy. Can anybody validate this? Or is there any other reasons why the PPPackTask is not found.
Cheers
Jiby

Hi
This error "java.lang.NoClassDefFound weblogic/util/debug" kind of looks familiar while running some standalone Java client programs that refer to stuff deployed on Weblogic. The ideal way to fix is generate wlfullclient.jar and add that in the classpath. Adding or calling setDomainEnv.sh (.cmd) will also work, but try using this wlfullclient approach also. The below post have the links that has all the details.

  • Ant extractESBDeploymentPlan Issue with linked ESB Artifacts

    Hi
I seem to have found a problem with the ExtractESBDeploymentPlan script.
I've created a number of ESB artifacts that are common to a number of other ESB processes. I link them together by calling an existing ESB Routing Service from an ESB, which then adds the .esbsvc descriptors to my process (I assume just to enable them to be seen in the diagram). Doing this does not import the wsdl's etc which is good.
However, if I then try to extract these ESB projects, I get the following error:

This is valid, as the .esbsvc does not have a .wsdl.
Now, is this my fault for doing something not in best practice, or an issue with JDeveloper, or the extract script?

    Hi Chris
I have the exact same problem as you. I have a .esbsvc file in my project that does not have a corresponding local .wsdl file. (In the .esbsvc file I link to the WSDL with a HTTP-address).
Did you come up with a solution?

BEA provides several ant scripts, however only one runs correctly. Thus you have to specify the full path of your ant script.
    1. Setup your vars invoquing:% WL_HOME%\common\bin\commEnv.cmd
    2. set ANT_HOME=%WL_HOME%\integration\adapters\utils
    3. Build use full path!!! %ANT_HOME%\ant.cmd -f mybuild.xml
After step 2, WL_HOME\server\bin is in your PATH and there is an ANT script in that path, which does fail. That's why you have to specify the "correct" ant script's full path when running ant.

  • Ant config issue

    Hi,
I am working through the "Definitive Guide to SOA" book, and attempting to configure Ant in Oracle Workshop 10.3.
I have to add the weblogic.jar file to the "Ant Home Directories". So I select "Ant Home Directories" and select "Add External JARs", locate the weblogic.jar (C:\oracle_sb\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\weblogic.jar).
Problem is I then get a "Specified Ant home does not contain a "lib" directory" error, and I can't click "OK".
I believe not adding this jar to the ant classpath is causing issues with deploying web services. Can anyone offer any assistance here?
    Thanks.

You might have clicked "ANT Home" instead of "Add External JARs" by mistake.
I tried adding external JAR, seems working.
    Please try:
    - "Restore to Defaults" to reset ANT home to the default Eclipse folder
Also instead of adding the weblogic.jar in ANT preference, you may consider
add it to ANT script using variable like $WLS_HOME/server/lib/weblogic.jar.
This way the script will be more portable in case you re-install WLS.

    Try the Workshop forum:
    Workshop
or the Enterprise Pack for Eclipse forum:
    Enterprise Pack for Eclipse
You should also be specific about your use case and the error message that you are receiving if possible.
Also the samples that ship with the server should include some ant build scripts for building/deploying web services that you might be able to use/modify. Do your scripts work outside Workshop when you set up the env correctly (by calling the domain's bin/setDomainEnv script).

  • ANT Deployment issue. works fine in one environment but fails in other

    Hi,
Ant script is working fine in Dev environment but is failing in the other environment. Somehow the BPEL server is not able to pick the latest deployed process , due to this the dependent BPEL processes are failing. If we restart the server , it moves forward and then fails at the point where it couldn’t find reference to the processes deployed after restart. Restarting the server at every failed interval will deploy all the BPEL processes which is not the solution.
example : we have BPEL Processes say A, B, C, D and E. A,B are independent processes C is dependent on A, D is independent and E is dependent on D. So I have Ant script to deploy in A,B,C,D,E order. Now I run the Ant Script: It deploys A,B processes and Fails at C saying it couldn't find the process A.wsdl(But A is deployed). So if i restart now it recognizes A and B are deployed so C is also deployed succesfully it also deploys D as it is Independent but fails at E. If i restart the server E is also deployed.
    The Environment is clustered.
Any suggestion to make my Ant script to run at a go will be highly appreciated
    Thanks

  • Weblogic.rmic and ant integration issue

I am trying to call weblogic.rmic compiler through a ant script and was
sucessful in doing so and generating the stubs and skelton for my RMI
    implementation.
But i also want to pass a system property value (in the example i am passing
file=stdout using -D to java) to weblogic.rmi compiler and don't know how to
    do that.
Any help will be greatly appreciated...
    Thanks

    <pathelement

    </classpath>

    </target>

As far as I know, rmic doesn't know anything about a "file" system property. Is
there some reason you expect this to do something special?

  • Issue with DataApp Sample in JavaFX.

Okay so I downloaded the Samples pack here http://jdk8.java.net/download.html or here http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk7-downloads-1880260.html at the bottom.
Inside is one called DataApp which requires setting up an SQL DB, and connecting to it.
In Netbeans8 I get an error about not having RestLib api inside the DataAppClient which according to the setup DataAppClient - The JavaFX 2.0 client application. inside there you can see a package with packages that wont import such as
    import com.sun.jersey.api.client.Client;
    import com.sun.jersey.api.client.UniformInterfaceException;
    import com.sun.jersey.api.client.WebResource;
    import com.sun.jersey.api.json.JSONConfiguration;
So why am I in a Java 8 samples pack needing FX 2? Though I'm not sure if it's FX8 yet, I just didn't think the 2.0 client would work.
So I tried Netbeans 7.3 to see if it would work. At first the DataAppClient was fine, but I see the DataAppPreloader will not run because it uses Package javafx.something which apparently is new in Java 8.....
So now I'm stuck, wondering why Restlib doesn't exist... I looked it up, and it says it's used for Web services, but I don't have it, nor does it say to install it in the readme.
not existing, which I guess has to do with the RestLib?
    Anyone have any ideas?
EDIT: So I just downloaded the version for FX2, and I am still getting the same error when I run it, though nothing shows "errors" in the packages. Maybe I just needed to run it correctly for it to work, so not what is this error tellingme
Creating "dataapp" user and "APP" database...

    Prerequisites
    Setting Up the DataApp Sample
    Running the Sample
    NetBeans Projects for the Sample
    Licensing
    Prerequisites
You must have the following software installed to run the DataApp sample:
    Java SDK 1.6.0_24 or later
    Available at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html.
    JavaFX 2.0 SDK or later
    Available at http://javafx.com/downloads/all.jsp.
    MySQL 5.5 or later
    Available at http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/.
You need to know the root password for your installation.
Netbeans 7.1 with Java EE and GlassFish 3.1.1 or later
    Available at http://netbeans.org/downloads/.
Run the NetBeans installer to install NetBeans and GlassFish to the default locations.
    Setting Up the DataApp Sample
Install the MySQL drivers into GlassFish.
Manually copy the mysql-connector-java-5.1.13-bin.jar file from the netbeans-install-dir\ide\modules\ext\ to the glassfish-install-dir/glassfish/lib directory, where netbeans-install-dir and glassfish-install-dir are the directories into which the products were installed. For example, on Windows the install directory for products is typically in the C:\Program Files\ or C:\Program Files (x86)\ directories.
Open the following DataApp projects in NetBeans by selecting File ->Open Project and navigating to the location of the DataApp sample:
    DataAppClient
    DataAppLibrary
    DataAppLoader
    DataAppPreloader
    DataAppServer
Configure and create the database (only needs to be done once):
In NetBeans, right-click the DataAppLoader project.
    Select Run.
Enter your MySQL root password when prompted.
Wait until you see the message that the build has successfully finished, which takes approximately 5 to 15 minutes.
    Running the Sample
    Start the server:
In NetBeans, right-click the DataAppServer project.
    Select Run.
Wait until a browser window opens that says: YOU ARE DONE!
    (Optional) Start the standalone client:
In NetBeans, right-click the DataAppClient project.
    Select Run.
    NetBeans Projects for the Sample
DataAppLibrary - Contains the following data:
    Database tables
    ORM model to database tables
DataAppLoader - Application that is run once to perform the following tasks:
    Creates the database.
Loads all of the static data for the data app.
    Creates some historical data.
DataAppServer - Web server that performs the following tasks:
Simulates auto sales and persists them to the database.
Provides access to the database through web services.
DataAppClient - The JavaFX 2.0 client application.

I found the same issue but resolved it by myself. The user table of the MySQL changed, my guess. You need to add another 'Y' or 'N' to the end of this statement in the build.xml of DataAppLoader:
    INSERT INTO user VALUES ('localhost','dataapp','*B974A83D18BB105D0C9186756F485406E6E6039B','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','','','','',0,0,0,0,'',NULL,'N');
The original one is like this:
    INSERT INTO user VALUES ('localhost','dataapp','*B974A83D18BB105D0C9186756F485406E6E6039B','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','Y','','','','',0,0,0,0,'',NULL);
The new column added is password_expired. Y or N to indicate the password is good or not.

  • Error while deploying adf application using ant script or jdevloper IDE

    Hi All,
While deploying adf application into cluster weblogic server I am getting strange error though my weblogic server is working fine as I checked it from weblogic console. Seems that there is some heap memory issue but don’t know the exact cause as it work perfectly if I restart the server.
Same error i get when i try to deploy application from Jdeveloper IDE though it created the server connection successfully.
Please help me by provided valuable tips to overcome this problem or any special tips to optimize weblogic server for ADF.
    Thanks in advance

    >
Note: In its current stage Oracle Java Cloud Service runs WebLogic Server 10.3.6 with the appropriate Runtime ADF 11.1.1.6. Deployment of ADF 11gR2 Applications is currently not supported. Beside this limitation some ADF Features are not supported on the Oracle Cloud. According to the Oracle Cloud Documentation it is not supported to use the following ADF features
    ADF Desktop Integration
    ADF mBean
ADF MDS (Seeded customizations or cross-session personalization)
    ADF Mobile
ADF Active Data Services (=> No real-time ADF Web Apps in Oracles Cloud)
ADF Business Components services interfaces (web services) or events
ADF Data Controls for BI, Essbase, BAM, and JMX
Further there are some restrictions which are good to know I think
No Java Mail API (=>Sending Mails is prohibited)
No File system access by deployed applications (=>Writing files is prohibited)
No Direct use of Oracle JDBC Driver APIs
    No Java Message Service (JMS)
Max Size for deployment archive 95MB

I hope for you that the information from the blog has changes in the meantime (blog is from end of last year). Check the current doc for the cloud ...

  • Error deploying SOAOrderBooking BPEL Process through Ant

    Hello,
I following Oracle SOA Quick Start Guide (Part # B28938-01) to setup Demo SOA Application.
I followed the document Chapter 2 and installed SOA Suite with "Basic Install" and JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.0.
When deploying SOAOrderBooking BPEL Process as mentioned in Page 2-11 Step # 7, I get following error
[bpelc] Error while loading schemas from wsdl file at location "http://localhost:8888/orabpel/default/SelectManufacturer/1.0/SelectManufacturer?wsdl". The reason is Unable to create an InitialContext..
I tried enabling verbose in bpelc command in build.xml file and stack trace indicate java.lang.ClassNotFoundException for oracle.javatools.jndi.LocalInitialContextFactory class.
I'm trying to setup the demo as Proof-of-concept for one of my projects. So any help in resolving this issue will be greatly appreciated. I've include the full log file for reference.
    Thanks,
    Sankaran.

  • Sample ANT-generated project

Anyone know where I can download source for a simple project that uses ANT/XDoclet and is built, verified and deployed to the Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8? Ideally, such a project would house CMP beans and an application client. I've been messing around with this off an on for ages but am constantly stymied by cryptic error messages and a glacial deployment process. For the record, I'll list ANT script that I'm using and the resultant problems. Perhaps someone will immediately recognize a rookie mistake. I'd be just as happy, though, if someone could simply direct me to a functional example that I can copy and tweak. I'd love to focus on actually learning J2EE rather than struggling with configuration issues.

There are quite a few sample apps and blueprint apps that Sun provides. Have you looked at any ofThanks for the response. I looked over the Sun examples and can get them to work. I'm just not interested in manually writing so much code. Every bean seems to require a zillion files and configuration settings. XDoclet was supposed to help me avoid all the typing. I'd also like to steer clear of the deploytool; being able to do a complete build in one step is very important to me. I suppose I could compare and contrast with the functional examples but it's such slow going...
