How can I use Person and Trip tables in Travel database acrossing two pages. In my Page1.jsp,PersonRowset is bound to dropdown list and TripRowset is bound to DataTable . In the next page, I want to show more colums of the Trip table response to the selected person ,and have go back button to page1.But, my trip information in second page always result in displaying the trip infor. of my first choice of selctions from the dropdownlist in page1.And when I go back to page1, the dropdwon list only show first person' s name. It should show my selected person. Any clue?Thank you!

Hi,
One possible solution is to store the value of the person's name in a session bean property. The session bean property can be made us of for showing the selected person's name in the dropdown list. The code to be used would look something like:
dropdown1.setSubmittedValue(this.getSessionBean1.getSelectedName);
Note: selectedName is the name of the session bean property

UDPATE:
Spoke with Express lane, and issue was escalated. Kudos to the support guys that handled this one (Brian and Yi). Went through everything in detail and took all the crash dumps off the iphones and ipads to send to engineering.
After backing up the contacts, the recommendation was to delete all contacts in iCloud. Doing that caused my iCloud to crash (in the browser), so more crash dumps were sent to apple.
Eventually got all contacts deleted, then did a resync. Looks like IOS devices are coming back to life and syncing again.
Also, Outlook iCloud connector has just been updated to ver 1.0.1 so i installed that on their recommendation.
BOTTOM LINE workaround:
1. Backup contacts
2. Delete contacts in iCloud
3. Delete accounts on IOS devices
4. Recreate accounts on IOS devices.
Hoping a real root cause can be found and real fix implemented. This has caused me to doubt the stability of iCloud, so i will procees with caution.

Lightroom encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit. Says Lightromm will attempt to fix the problem the next time it launches, but on every re-launch I get the same message. Any clue as to how to fix this problem?

I recently updated my HP laptop's OS from WIndows8 to WIndows8.1. When I went attempted to open Lightroom5 I got the following message:
"Lightroom encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit. "

Every time I relaunch I get the same message. I'd like to understand what might be causing the problem so I can remedy and get back to my photo editing. Any clue as to how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, this message is almost always an indication that the internal AirPort card on the Mac has failed and will need to be replaced. This is a job for repair shop.

Purchases made on my ipod touch are no longer being transferred to the Mac...but yet they are showing up in "grey" in the purchased list on the Mac. Any clues as to what is going on?

What used to work just fine, is no longer working...
Within the last 2 days, song purchases that were made on my ipod Touch are no longer being transferred when the ipod synchs up. The strange thing is that the songs appear in iTunes --> Store -- Purchased list, but are greyed out. They play just fine on the ipod...but aren't making it back to the Mac.
I have tried right clicking on the ipod when it appears in iTunes and selecting "Transfer purchases", but that doesn't seem to work either.
Any clues as to what is going on?

One other very important piece of information I forgot to include...the purchases were made prior the iOS update. So the sequence of events went like this:
1) ipod Touch with previous iOS (4.0 I think)
2) purchases made
3) ipod connected and iTunes prompts for iOS update
4) iOS upgraded to 5.0
5) Now the purchases seem to be stranded on the ipod Touch

Boot ROM version: 4.2.8fl
Accelerator card added: 1.6 MHz
1.5 Gig Ram
I have erased the partition that had Leopard installed on it.
I zapped the pram.
In Open Firmware, I "reset-nvram", and then "reset-all"
I tried to reinstall G4 FW Update 4.2.8, but that must be done when booted from OS 9, and of course, that's the problem: it won't boot into 9.
I tried restarting from 9.2.1 DVD.
I tried restarting from an external firewire drive containing OS 9.2.2.
I tried moving a fresh OS 9.2.2 system folder into an empty partition on an internal hard drive. (Partition was created WITH OS 9 drivers installed.)
All attempts to boot into OS 9 give me the same results - grey screen - no spinning beach ball, no icons or logos - just a blank grey screen.
This machine still works fine in OS 10.3 and 10.4, and it worked fine for many years booting into OS 9, until I installed Leopard, and I haven't been able to boot into OS 9 since then, although I have done considerable research online and tried many things.
I have since learned that this machine does not support Leopard - 10.5. Fine, but how did it break 9.2.2?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Problem solved.
In the docs that came with my Powerlogix accelerator card, I found this sentence buried:
"If you reset the PRAM, the NVRAM code for OS9 compatibility is cleared, so you will have to boot from the Firmawre Update CD and perform this process again in order to boot in OS9."
The "process" it's referring to is the process of setting up the NVRAM for booting into OS9 from the CD.
Fortunately, I was able to find the disk, and it worked as expected. I can now, once again boot into OS9.
Conclusion: My (unadvised) attempt to load Leopard on this old machine apparently reset the PRAM on the accelerator card and cleared the NVRAM code for OS9 boot. Although I did attempt to reset the NVRAM via Open Firmware, it did not reset it on the accelerator card.
So, thank you BDAQua, for your "Ah yes" . . . that's all I needed to steer me in the right direction.

Have you tried using the iPod with another user account or computer, to help narrow down whether the problem lies with the computer, account, or the iPod itself?
Maybe try reformatting it, using the tools provided by Windows. Instructions on how to reformat your iPod can be found in this article.

I had the same problem when trying to sync my new ilPhone 4s and a fairly new iPad 2. I couldn't find anything in the forum about it. So, since my 4s was new, I called support and luckily I got a CSR with some knowledge. He at first thought it would be tough to fix but after thinking a minute he found the fix. The fix is:
Click on finder, Go, Home, Pictures, then click on iPod photo cache and drag it to trash. Now try syncing again. It worked on both of mine. No problems since.

A couple of questions related to a problem that affects my zen...
-Does the firmware in my player affect the connectivity with my PC? i.e. my player has no firmware, and when recognized by the PC as an MTP device I can't transfer any files or anything to the player
-I can't update the firmware as I get the message 'player not connected'... is this related to not having any firmware?

- Player recognized randomly by windows as either a USB device (not being able to find the drivers) or MTP device

- Usb 2.0 Ali PCI card (not sure about my friend's, but it's a 2.0 for sure)

do you mean the normal recovery mode? the one you enter by holding tha play button while you reset the device with a pin? If so, I already tried that one. In fact, I get into the recovery mode menu every time I turn the player on, as it is not able to load the fmware. I can scandisk, format and everything, but when coming to the part of updating fmware... stuck as usual...

ITunes crashes when selecting songs for importing from CD - any clues?

I'm running XP Pro on a Dell Latitude 620 with the latest version of iTunes.
When I put a CD in, iTunes shows me the tracks. But as I am selecting tracks to play (double-clicking on them), randomly iTunes crashes. Not immediatly repeatable, but it always happens within 5 minutes or so of selecting songs.
Any clues out there?

I had removed a couple of those artists and later replaced them with backups from a separate hard drive and it didn't help. I was going to ditch and replace all of them today to see if that made a difference. However, before I did, I thought I'd check a couple of things as far as renaming the artists was concerned. So I added a number to one problem artist's name, then tried opening it in the 'Artist' list. It worked fine. I went back, removed the number, and tried opening it again. Worked fine again. So I checked the other problem artists, without altering the names. They all open just fine. Problem solved! Well, not solved but mysteriously gone away, at least for now.
I think you're right about a faulty link being the problem, and I suppose something I did reestablished that link. Don't know what it was though, so I'm afraid I can't offer a solution to anyone else with a similar problem.

You can also try to reset your network settings on the iPad. Go to Setings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.

It is Command+r or for the online internet system it is Command+option/Alt+r keys. Then you use Disk Utility to erase the macintosh partition, from the built in recovery hd, or you can repartition the drive as one partition from the online system.
To actually get to the online internet system you have to hold that key combo down until you see a globe on the screen. Otherwise it will just boot from the built in recovery hd on the internal drive.

Hold Option and launch iTunes.
Select Choose library and select the iTunes folder.
This will read the iTunes library.itl file in this folder and the library as it was previously will be opened.
