Any FM or BAPI to Release Service Order before creating the Adv Ship Order

Is there any Function Module or BAPI to Release Service Order before creating the Advance Shipment Order.
or is there any other alternative to release Service Order.

    Hi All,
    I have an issue with determining  release strategy for purchase requisition for external services created via PM work order (iw31 transaction).
    We have activated release strategy for Purchase requisition based on the following characteristics:
    CEBAN_PLANT
    CEBAN_COST_CENTER_GROUP
    CEBAN_MANUAL
    Characteristic CEBAN_COST_CENTER_GROUP is defined via user exit based on the cost center used in the PREQ and a z table which contains all cost centers mapped to the corresponding  cost center goups.
    In the user exit we have consider to cases:
    The first one is when a purchase requisition is created with account assignment K (cost center) then system is checking the z table and determines the right cost center group.
    The second case is when a purchase requisition is created with account assignment F (internal order) then based on the order type and number the cost center in the order is defined and based on it the corresponding entry in the z table cost center group is assigned.
    The third case is when purchase requisition for services is created automatically from PM work order. In this case the PREQ is again with account assignment F, but at the time when user exit is checking the input parameters the real number of the work order does not exist and system can not defined the other parameters.
    We have defined  for this requisitions in the release strategy for characteristic CEBAN_MANUAL creation indicator " F".
    Has anybody of you defined release strategy for PREQs created out of work order before. How did you manage to trigger the release strategy?

    Hi,
    For PM order find the costcenter in the settlement rule of the order or else find the costcenter in the Location tab of the order.
    Consider this filed from order & write in the Z program to pick up the costcenter from there to find out the cost center group.

    As mentioned above, settlement is to post the cost to cost centers or any possible receivers as per the settlement profile. PM / Service orders, WBS elements, etc., can be temporary cost bearers from which cost should be settled to some permanent receivers.
    Cost elements / Cost element groups should be available as Master data before configuring settlement profile.
    To answer your latest query, there are 2 type of cost centers.
    Sender Cost Center - Against this, labor / internal activity price will be maintained in KP26. This cost center will be maintained in PM / PP work centers. While creating PM / PP orders, one of the work centers & activity types will be mentioned. Based on the KP26 entry for the combination of Activity type & Sender cost center, price will be picked & calculated according to work hours / labor hours maintained in PM / PP orders.
    Receiver Cost Center - Receiver cost center is the department / location cost center to which cost should be settled. Only receiver cost center will be maintained in settlement profile. Sender cost centers will be picked up automatically from work center.

    I have RDS 2012 session deployment in Azure with connection broker high availability.
    The "Remote Desktop Management" service does not start automatically when the connection broker virtual machines are stopped and started.
    I see the below error in event logs of both the connection broker VMs
    Note: WHen i manually start the "Remote Desktop Management" service after this error, it all works without issues.
    I get

    Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
    In respect to error 46, this issue may occur if the computer boots without a configured dump file. The default dump file is the pagefile. During a clean Windows OS installation, the very first boot will hit this condition as the pagefile has not been set up
    yet. 
    To resolve this issue, you may want complete the paging file configuration.

    In regards to error 10154, you need to create the SPN specified in the event using the
    setspn.exe utility and also need to grant the “Validated Write to Service Principal Name” permission to the NETWORK SERVICE.

  • Function module to get Service Order details created with a Sales Order

    Hi,
    Could anyone tell me if there is any function module to get the details of the Service order that is created automatically for a line item in a sales order. Let me explain my requirement clearly.
    When a sales order is created with specific line item, a service order is automatically created for that line item. I need to get the information about the associated service order. I can't find this information in VBAK, VBAP or VBEP tables obviously. But, i can see the link between the service order created and related Sales document # and item #  in the DB view  CAUFV. But, the key field here is Service order #. But my requirement is to get the service order details from the key field of Sales document.
    I tested the FM SD_SALES_DOCUMENT_READ_POS that reads the sales document header and item material tables, but this doesn't help me in getting the service order details associated with the material line item.

    I actually saw this , but surprisingly, there is nothing stored in this field in either of the tables VBAK or VBAP. I mean, even for the sales orders which have associated service orders, nothing is stored in either of the above tables.

  • Selection order to follow the select-option order rather than numerical ord

    Hi Gurus!
    I have created a program to print Form headers. The program selects the documents from nast table based on the document numbers eneterd in selection screen. When I eneter for example documents :
    10000007
    10000005
    10000001
    10000002
    10000004 and run the program it prints the headers in sequential order rather than the order I put the documents numbers in selection screen.
    It prints
    10000001
    10000002
    10000004
    10000005
    10000007.
    Is there by any chnace a way that I can print it exactly in the same order as the documents are entered in the selection screen?

    Yes, I agree. But my suggestion was to display or call the Form FM within the Select-options loop and Read Nast internal table for details. Hope you have restricted the Select options to restrict the entries only for "=" with no extension.
      Loop at S_SELOPT.
         Read table GT_NAST into GS_NAST with key OBJKY = S_SELOPT-LOW.
         If Sy-Subrc eq 0.
    .....  your existing logic to display the form....
         endif.
      Endloop.

  • Two invoice types order-related from the same sales order type

    Hi experts,
    I need to assign a different invoice type to two different items categories regarding to invoice each item with a different invoice rumber range and a different accounting document type (one 'RV' and another 'PF').
    Neither of them have delivery.
    I' ve assigned in the copy controls from sales orders to invoices the items categories to the corresponding invoice type in order to avoid the items are invoiced by wrong invoice type.
    Exem:
    item category ZIC1 must be invoiced by invoice type ZF1
    item category ZIC2 must be invoiced by invoice type ZF2
    I executed VF04 twice: first regarging to create ZF1 and second create ZF2.
    1)  If I insert ZF1 invoice type (order-related) by default in the sales orders definition (Sales and Distribution -> Sales -> Sales -> Sales Document Header -> Define Sales Document Types), the item ZIC1 is properly invoiced and the ZIC2 too. But: although I already invoiced both items, SAP laves the sales order opened waiting to create ZF1 for ZIC2.
    2)  If I don't fill the invoice type by defautl, the invoicing can't be done because the invoice type isn't determined (VKDFS-FKART empty).
    I want to know if  there is any exit to change the values of VKDFS entries for each item of sales orders before to process this table with VKDFS.

    But in save document prepare it's not this structure. And the field for save the invoice type by default is at header level FKARA (in VBAK table).

  • Completed sales order changed with the updated ship-to address

    Hi,
    My client did the following test and found that:
    - Change the ship-to address of a customer
    - new sales order of this customer defauted to the update ship-to address (good!)
    - old/completed sales orders of this customer show the new ship-to address (bad!)
    Data used in occurred transactions should not be affected by data maintenances that made after the transactions. So, is the finding a design flaw in OM or there is parameter that can be tuned?

    Hi,
    Oracle will not store the entire Address in Sales Order tables. It will only store the internal id.
    Now there could be two possible scenarios for which your client tried to chance the ship to address:
    1) There is a correction required in the address(e.g. change in street name). If this is the case then changing the address would be correct approach, and I think all the sales orders(old or new) should reflect correct address.
    2) If there is a relocation, then the correct approach would be to make the current customer site inactive and create a new site for the new address instead of changing the existing site. Changing the address of existing site for such a business scenario may not be a correct approach.
    So based on what was the reason for changing the ship to address, I would say the system is functioning as expected.

    Goto VA01 and try to create the order with reference to the Old order
    and after that order details are copied to the New order then, change the Sold to party and the currency in the Sales order Header and see? whether it allows you to change it or gives some error? then based on that you have to check and do further processing.
    Try and see
    If it won't allows you to change
    then create a New SO with the new sold to and currency and just take the old orders data from VBAK and VBAP tables and enter into the new order fields and save it will be created.

    iv) Set the Auto PO flag on the Purchasing tab of my NLAG material
    v) Created a Vendor Info record
    BUT I still don't get a PO being created automatically .... can anyone see where the problem may be?

    I'm trying to get the 3rd Party Sales Order process to work and I would like it to create the PO automatically (it is already creating the requisition without issue). I have:

    I have since confirmed that I can trigger a PO creation by running ME59N BUT the PO is not created automatically when I save the sales order despite what the help text on the item category implies.
    I think I have already done every you have suggested and even a little more, or maybe I'm missing something? Do I need to do something with ALE - turn something on perhaps? Have you actiually seen this functionality working? I'd love to hear from someone who has.

  • Restricting production order qty while the converting planned order

    Dear all Hi,
                     I have a planned order for 10 qty. While converting it to production order the system is allowing me to increase the qty to more than 10 (eg 11 qty) & it is saving the production order.
    But the clients requirement is that system should not allow the user to create the production order for qty more than palnned order qty.
    Please help/suggest how to get this restriction from the system.

    If that is the case, then eliminate the Process of manual conversion of Planned Order to production order.
    You can use the Program PPBICO40.
    Schedule this Program as a background job, after the MRP Run.
    Authorization management with strict monitoring will eliminate this type of process.

    the first option is the right one. the FM invoked makes a direct input, so all the functionalities in S.O. are the standard one in the same way as if you are making it manually.
    Also you can have some exits in the Idoc FM, so you can manipulate data there before loading the sales order.

    Let me try to explain with an example...Let us say u r placing an Order (Purchase order) online in a website. So you will fill in the necessary details in terms of your address, you would choose a product and etc...
    Now, this is converted into a file and sent to SAP. SAP will inturn convert this file into an Idoc based on the input, the FM is called and the data is filled. At this point in time the status of the idoc would be 50. Now an validation happens and the idoc is pushed to status 64. Now there is a progrma RBDAPP01 is the which will do the actual processing, meaning converting the Idoc into an Order. If the idoc fails to convert then a workflow is created.
    When the Idoc is processed it will actually go through VA01 txn and it would typically do everything that we do when we enter a order manually. Automation is the only difference.
    Idoc is just data and this data as and when entered is processed and the necessary information is obtained. Meaning, when the Material is fed, the MM aspect of SAP kicks in and provides the necessary data, similarly the Pricing procedure is determined based on the parameters.
    In effect all the information is stored in SAP and are kicked in as and when they are called for.
