Any good place to get native extensions? (looking for an ok/cancel modal dialog myself)

Hi all,
I imagined someone would have made an extension that just pops up a native dialog and return the answer but I'm finding no real centralized place for extensions.
I see the examples on the adobe site such as the NetworkInfo and Gyroscope and I may have to turn to attempting to wrap my head around creating one. Before I do that, does anyone know if there already is a native extension to pop up a simple dialog?
I need to just adjust the title, have the two "Ok" and "Cancel" button setup and get the response from the user. Dimming the screen (modal) so it requires an answer would be great.
Any hidden treasure troves of premade extensions?

Geez you can't even get Xcode 4.2 without Lion. I had to update my system just to get Xcode 4.2 so unfortunately testing will need to wait until tomorrow..

I wouldn't expect a big drop too soon. That's a lot of RAM density on a small board. Unless there's a major increase in demand I wouldn't expect much of a drop in price.
No doubt there may be cheaper prices than Datamem's. Although their prices are usually competitive, they are not always the cheapest. But they do offer good service, fast delivery, have a good return policy, and experience with Macs. My recommendation is based on a 10 year history with them which has been 100 percent satisfactory.
But $500 for a marginal 1 GB of RAM is a lot. I'm not convinced it's enough to warrant going from 2 GBs to 3 GBs. I have 2 GBs in mine and it seems perfectly fine for my needs.

Where is a good place to get a reliable battery for my mid 15" 2009 MBP?

I have seen a few advertisements online for some, but they also have bad reviews. I don't want to send my entire MBP to Apple and have them do it, I can do it. Any suggestions?

Two of the best are Crucial and OWC, http://www.macsales.com both are Mac specialists and have great support and lifetime warranties. Avoid memory such as Kingston Value Ram as many on here have had a great deal of problems with it.
OWC has on-line videos that lead you through an installation.

I just picked up a Quicksilver G4 800. I am looking to get some upgrades for it. I am looking at get a dual 1ghz but I would also like to upgrade the video card and add sata drives to it. Where is a good place to get mac upgrades and what is a good card for the quicksilver. I do a lot of video stuff.

HT4889 Source computer getting stuck on "looking for other computers", but target computer finds source computer.

I'm hoping someone can help me get my source computer to find my target computer when running Migration Assistant. The source computer (late '08 macbook pro running OS X 10.7.5) gets stuck on "looking for other computers". But target computer (late '09 imac running OS X 10.7.5) finds source computer. Both show they are connected to same wifi network in System Preferences-network. Note: I have tried with both internet sharing on and off. Note: Source computer also can't find its external hard drive when plugged in. Related? Any ideas for either issue?

In my old Mac (Pro) I have several hard drives installed. I was able to create a Time Machine back-up to a non-system HD. I plan on removing this volume and putting it in an external enclosure as soon as I can find the right cables for that enclosure. Meanwhile....
I saw on one support doc an instruction to open Sharing on the source Mac (my old one, in this case) and make sure the machine had a name specified. I already had done that, but noticed that a specific name based on that was mentioned for other computers to contact it. For example, if my source machine is named "myOldMac", other computers could address is at "myOldMac.local".
I connected the two computers directly via an Ethernet cable and I ran Migration Assistant again. When I got to the "Looking for source" screen, I clicked the button for "Other Server" and entered "afp://myOldMac.local". This actually found my old Mac. I was prompted to enter the password for the account "root". I changed the name to my account's short name -- "raboyle" not "Robert Boyle" -- and entered the correct password and I actually got a list of volumes to access. In the list were: the hard drives (by volume name), the home folders of the user accounts, and the Public Folders for each user account.
I tried accessing both my boot volume and the home folder for my primary account, and proceeded to a screen with the following text: "Choose which backup to transfer information from:". The list provided, however, was empty. On the chance that it was looking specifically for a Time Machine backup, I then specifically chose the HD volume with the backup I had just created. Again, the list to choose where to grab my data from was empty.
So, at least I'm advancing a little bit beyond the "Looking for source" screen ... but then again, since I hit yet another roadblock I can't say whether I've taken one step forward or two steps back.

Yes you can still purchase replacement batteries your iPod from third party repair companies. Apple does not offer replacement parts.
Do a Google search for iPod battery replacement and you should get a plethora of results. There are many good deals on Amazon and eBay.

If a receipt is important to you, send a letter certified mail.
I have occasionally received an e-mail that requests a receipt prior to reading it. I do what everyone does, I delete the e-mail unread.

Any other place to get album artwork

Itunes store does not have artwork for some CD's I have copied. And some of the CD's they matched up to incorrect covers. Is there any other location to get cover art and if so how do you connect it to album display in Itunes?

If the album artwork you want isn't available in the iTunes store you can add it manually, you just need to have the relevant image file. You'll get information on adding artwork manually (or automatically when it's available) at this link: iTunes for Windows - Adding artwork to songs and other items
if you can't find the album covers you want from iTunes you can get them from various other sources. I find this site is a good source of artwork: CD/Album Cover Art Search from SlothRadio.
Another place for finding suitable artwork is to go to Amazon. You can also locate artwork using Google image search and put the artist or album name. Locate the album from any of those sources, right click on the image and save it to the desktop, once it's there drag it to the iTunes artwork pane. Once you've added the artwork you can either delete the original file or keep it in a folder somewhere in case you need to use it again. Alternatively there are programs like these that help locate artwork: iTunes Art Importer or MP3 Tag
If you have a scanner you can create your own artwork files by scanning the CD cover itself, this is particularly useful when you are dealing with rare recordings.

Problems using Native Extensions (Gyroscope) for iOS.

I have downloaded the Gyroscope Native Extension for Air and I'm basically trying to install it so I can use the extensions to develop an iOS AIR app that uses my iPhone's Gyroscope.
The Gyroscope Folder has been un-zipped and is placed in a folder alongside the AIR app that I'm developing. I've set the Actionscript settings to point to the gyroscope.ane file and also to the gyroscope.swc file.I don't know if the latter is necessary as I'm all new to this.
My Actionscript reads:-

I don't know where to move the files or how I can get AIR to see this .as files Should I be moving the "Com" folder somewhere better ?

Remove the gyroscope folder. The only file you need is Binaries/Gyroscope.ane.
If you are using Flash CS6 link to the ane file not the swc file in the publish settings.
Also remove the line: import com.adobe.nativeExtensions.GyroscopeIntervalValue.
Sample code that you can use is in the file Eg/src/Eg.mxml.

VO extension looking for AM

Let me start by saying I have done other VO extensions before, but never one with an entity object. I am not sure if therein lies my problem or not. I have extended a VO using jdev10g HzPuiOrgContactsVO. This is based on HzPuiOrgContactsEOEx. The EO was extended by Oracle. I have followed all the steps to avoid pitfalls with VO extensions due to the known bug in jdev10g.
The substitution is currently working when you go to the contact profile page (Sales Dashboard-> Contacts-> Search and Click on Contact Name).
I checked in "About This Page" and my extended VO is present, and the new attribute is in the list. However, when I personalize and add my new attribute in an item of type "Message Styled Text", the page blows up

I just don't understand why it is looking for an AM in my directory. Isn't that supposed to be taken care of? I have never had to do anything with the AM before when I have extended VOs. Would appreciate any help anyone can offer.

When extending a VO, you need to remove it from your AM first then make modifications to it. If not, this can screw up the order of your objects and mapping between attributes and related columns.

I want to download JDeveloper Extension sdk for 9.0.4 version.
Of course, I found some link for downloading, but all of them I found were not connected or connected with 11g version.
I also try to install the sdk in JDeveloper menu called "Check for updates" in help menu. But it was not operated in my pc(Windows 7 64bit).
I really need to older version Extension sdk.
How can I get the sdk?

The only way I see is through support. Versions this old are not accessible via the web.
