Any idea why a "Special Savings" bar with similar items for sale, keeps popping up on my screen anytime I'm shopping online now? Seems like this started after a firefox update and it's super annoying. Please help!
Anytime I'm shopping for something online now, a bar pops up over the product image with suggestions for buying the same product or similar products online from other websites. It's got "Special Savings" in the bar as the title and says it's powered by "superfish" when you open it. I've not signed up for anything like this and it seems to have started when I updated firefox the last time. I can "x" out of it, but it's a pain and I'd like to get rid of it. Anyone else know what this is and how to get rid of it?
You might have an add-on doing this. Try to see if you have any add-ons doing this. To see if an add-on is affecting it please start firefox in [[Safe Mode]]

You can not get help here per the terms of service. Discussing jailbroken devices is forbidden.
The ONLY thing we can advise you to do is try putting the phone in DFU mode (google for instructions) and restore it.

Drag Java 32-bit to the top of the list.
jnlp isn't an audio file format. It's just a java web-start program (Java Network Launching Protocol). -
Laptop doesn't turn on after re-assembly and replacing thermal paste. Please help!

I hope anyone can help me. I took apart my laptop HP HDX16 to replace thermal paste and clean up the fan. I did everything very carefully as showed in manual. I cleaned the old paste and pads off and replaced thermal paste but not the pads as someone in the store suggested that there is no need for putting pads and that the thermal compound is enough to have it on there. I left only one pad on the heat sink in place where it services Northbridge as it was in good condition. On the Northbridge itself I put thermal compound as well as on the GPU and CPU. I put back every screw and connected each cable as it was before (I am pretty sure about it). I was quite happy with my job but after I tried to turn the computer on it wouldn't start at all. Did I do something wrong? Please help me because I don't have any idea what to do now.I am a little confused here, it sounds like you removed all the thermal pads except for one, if this is so, you need to put all the thermal pads back in place.
Anyways aside from that, if you plug the adapter in you will have a steady light where it plugs into the laptop. The light will always be on whether the machine is booted up or not.
If you don't have a steady light then you need to check the DC receptor where it plugs into the MoBo. Sometimes a cable may look like it's fully seated, but isn't. It still will boot up with the battery in place even if the DC jack plug is not correctly seated.
Check the small ribbon cable on the power button board where it connects into the MoBo.
Check that the processor is correctly aligned with it's key and that the locking mechanism is fully locked.
Make sure the RAM is seated correctly.
If these suggestions sound obvious, I have to start some where.
The problem here is that only you can help your self because you disassembled you machine, I can only make suggestions as what you may have missed and obviously something was missed.
If your thinking that you incorrectly applied the thermal paste, then that's not the problem. Even if there were no thermal pads or paste in place, the machine would still boot up, but it would heat up very quickly.
If the fan plug was plugged in incorrectly you would get a message in the BIOS upon boot up saying that the fan has a problem and it would shut down, but it sound like it's not even getting that far.
There is also a secondary fan that is used to cool the hard drive bays, check that plug as well. You may not get a BIOS message if this fan is not plugged in.

If you need help with the library, post again, give the video page time to load, the small video screen may stay black for a little while. -

Spammers have probably hacked your mail account. Change the password, to something much harder than it was before and see if it happens again. If it does then you may need to talk to the provider or take more aggressive action.
Usually they hack, send spam and move on. -

I had this same problem as soon as I upgraded to iTunes 6 and the 1.1.1 ipod software.
I followed this procedure to resolve the problem...(requires a second computer)
1. Download latest iTunes onto clean computer
2. Download latest iPod updater onto clean computer
3. Update and then Restore iPod using clean computer (reboot in between and after)
4. Install iTunes on clean computer
5. Import a track using this new computer from your old collection of purchased music (copy one from your other computer)
6. Click on the file and authorise that computer
7. Update iPod
8. Check music plays on iPod
9. Plug iPod into other (original computer)
10. Update iPod (it should ask to resync library ... say yes)
11. Check all music now plays again.
12. Not sure why, but you may notice some missing files in your library. Add them back to the library. -

The bell symbol with a line means the phone is in silent mode. something is wrong with your toggle switch it toggles between silent mode and normal mode. the button is on the left side of your phone. try switching it and see weather it helps. if nothing helps you have to replace it or the phone

With a recent update of itunes, ( a couple weeks ago), when plugging in my iphone, itunes did not automatically launch...and when manually selecting itune to open I recieve the statement ...

I have gone to the itunes site and reloaded itunes....and did not fix the problem. ....helpClick here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.
