Any limitation to foeld length?

i have successfully done idoc-file scenario but with some issue, there is filed (label) with 1000 length , in the result file only 100 charachters are populated and remining are truncated.
the content convertion strcture is.

Row.fieldNamesTrans_Id,Order,Item,Product_Id,Product_desc,Lot_nr,Ship_via,Exp_qty,Carousel_loc,Compart,Destination,Label

i tseted the scenarios it looks fine, is there any limitation to display the filed length?
please let me know how to dispaly the entire filed value?

i ahe tried the filed fixed length propery also but iam facing the same problem.
i rechecked the file there are 8 fileds , the 8th filed length is 1000 characters.
in the payload of reciver file the data is populated properly with all the filed values.
but file in the destination (UNIX) contain 6 filed values and the remaining part is truncated.
please suggest me

Limitations of DN length of newly created AD user

are any limitations of length of DN record for newly created AD users? I tried to create hierarchy tree of OU but I'm not able to create more then 5th level of OU depth. The longest dn is following:
cn=firstname lastname,ou=d,ou=c,ou=b,ou=a,ou=Testovací,ou=Zaměstnanci,dc=test,dc=local
When I tryied use longer name in OU e.g.
cn=firstname lastname,ou=123,ou=c,ou=b,ou=a,ou=Testovací,ou=Zaměstnanci,dc=test,dc=local
This errors appeared:

Unable to set user info: 'The name provided is not a properly formed account name'

com.waveset.util.WavesetException: Error opening object 'LDAP://1111': ADsOpenObject(): 0X8007203A: , , The server is not operational. Also I tried to use less OU depth with longer OU's name and situation is same. Is some problem with diacritics? Or some another restriction?

Limitation on Alias length

I think the limit is still 80 characters on an alias.

Creation of logic group - any limitation for the Criteria Value Field?

I am trying to create simple logic groups in FDM (version 11.1.1.3 and 11.1.2.1). However, an error message displayed in the information bar.
Error: Error adding new record.
Detail: Data access error.
I clicked the "Add" button and created a logic group which contains *1,520* non-sequential source accounts in the Criteria Value Field (with In operator).
I have separated these source accounts with a comma and no spaces in between them. (Note: Operator = x, Value/Exp = 1, Seq = 0) I updated the grid. Then, the error message was displayed and the logic group creation was failed.
And then, I created a new logic group which contains only *100* non-sequential source accounts in the Criteria Value Field (with In operator).
I also separated them with a comma, no spaces and same setting. I updated the grid. And the logic group was added successfully.
Each source account contains 10 characters (alphabet and/or number).
I want to ask:
1. Is there any limitation in specifying source accounts (i.e.. no more than certain number of source accounts for each logic group) in the Criteria Value Field when creating simple logic group?
2. I am adding these logic groups by clicking the "Add" button one by one, is there faster way to do it (i.e.. upload an excel or csv file or source accounts specified)?

I would like to ask about loading the Logic Accounts with the template.
As instructed, I exported the excel out for the template format and updated the template with new Logic Accounts. Then, I imported the excel file in the "Import XLS" section under Tools. The excel file was uploaded successfully. (Note: I am using excel 2010 and saved it as .xls file)
However, there is no changes in the Logic Accounts and seem no updates was made.
I want to ask:
1. Did I import the excel at the right location (i.e. "Import XLS" section under Tools)?
2. Is there anything else I need to do after the file has been imported (i.e. delete the existing logic accounts or click another button(?) for this change) so the new list of logic accounts would become effective?
I would like to use excel to maintain my list of logic accounts for better control in the future.

Is there any restriction on the length of all Primary keys in a data base table?
i have some 10 fields as primary key in a DB table and length exceeds 120 and getting a warning.
Please let me know will there be any problems in future with respect to the same?

Well actually there are constraints like
Total of internal lengths of all primary key columns        1024 Bytes
Number of primary key columns per table                     512

there is no specific limitation to 1131/1252 AP model as such, everything is WLC software dependent.
From later software 7.4.x,7.6.x,8.x, lots of improvement for QoS configuration & bandwidth control, but since your controller is old hardware, you cannot have those latest features.

I believe Oracle has a imit of like 32k parameters, but there shouldn't be anything beyond that imposed by the way you're calling the procedure.

Is there any limitation on field size that can be defined in Idoc segments

Hi all,
I have extended a standard Idoc type and in my extended segment I have defined four fields GUID (char32), info1 (char255) , info2(char255) , info3(char255).
This is a total of 797 bits which is well within EDIDD-sdata(char1000). But I am not able to put more than 132 characters in either info1, 2 or 3.
Is there any limitation on this ?

I personally feel this error is not due to limitations but it might be due to the IDOC extension you had made and hence the default settings.
Could you please try doing this -
Note: Users require an authorization in order to carry out the procedure.
The following correction is carried out with a fictitious attribute: 'info'.
a) Call Transaction SE11.
b) Enter the attribute name into the 'Domain' field, followed by '' (wildcard). For example: info
c) The system displays the following hit list:
info1
info2
info3
d) Select the first domain and choose 'Change'
e) Correct the number of characters. Forexample:
Numberof characters 255
f) Activate this domain
Assign points in case this helps.

Any Limits to using BranchCache with Configuration Manager 2012 SP1 or R2

Have a client looking to leverage the Branchcache feature in their office locations, over 1000 with numbers ranging from 2 - 40 in size. There would be 2 - 4 central Primary distribution points servicing these clients in the 1000+ offices.
Do I need to look at requesting them to make changes to their design to have more distribution points to allow more branchcache clients to connect, are there any limitations?
I am aware the content is un managed (self managed no control) so the distributions may go over the links more then once.
Also aware that this would autoset a branchcache on each subnet even though it is a single location, but has multiple subnets.

I would like to know whether there is any limitation in the payload received in a BPEL/HTTP Post process in SOA 11.1.3. Our clients are saying that they can send as big as 5 MB payload. Will that be an issue from the SOA side when receiving the payload?

In SOA 10g we have restrictions on payload of size of around 9MB,but in 11g there is no such constraint on payload size.

Any limitation number of columns on SQL Workshop Utility Upload Data ?

I tried to load csv fiie into a table with 350 columns and received the following error.
++ORA-20001: Load csv data error: ORA-01461: can bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column++
++Error inserting data.++
++Return to application.++
if the column in csv file is reduced to 310, it will insert the data.
Are there any limitations on number of column on this functionality ?
In my application I also tried to create data loading wizard into the table with 350 columns.
When I tried to load data through my application, the data mapping did not pick up all columns from the csv file, yet it manage to insert data and loading information for the first 46 columns.
Are there any limitations on number of column on this functionality as well ?

Then I would look at this stage as a step to develop a way to NORMALIZED the data when it comes into the application. Instead of just importing and the trashing around with it, your SOURCE IS THE EXCEL workbook. After that point you start by importing in with SQL Loader or something other which then does the parsing into the required work tables. Building a work table with 350 columns JUST to cut up the data is just adding a layer to the puzzle.. At least this is how I would accomplish the task.
At NO point would I try building a user interface on the work table(s) since the data is just not in a viewable format at that point, only after the data is normalized would users be seeing it for review, then they could start to atleast verify the accuracy..

Hi,
There are no practical limits to nested SELECTs, but as other repliers have already pointed out they quickly become a performance hog. I have stopped using them for years, and when I teach ABAP performance classes I also quote them as one of the top "don'ts". With nested selects, the number of calls to the DBMS can easily become enormous, putting the database server under stress.
A good alternative - the one I favour most myself - is to use SELECT INTO TABLE for the"outer" select, followed by appropriate SELECT FOR ALL ENTRIES statements to handle the inner levels.
ABAP joins are another alternative. When properly written, a join will be faster than a nested select. The problem is however that very often joins are not properly written. SELECT statements should always respect the KISS principle (keep it simple, stupid) and with a join it is very easy to violate that rule. A join over 2 tables should probably be OK, but with 3 or more tables you want to be very careful. If you really want to code a complex join, I recommend that you also code the same logic with different means (INTO TABLE/FOR ALL ENTRIES or even nested selects) and then compare that with the join. By the way: don't just compare the performance, also make sure that the two return the same data. You wouldn't be the first to code a really fast join which unfortunately returns incorrect results.
