Discoverer Report - SQL Query to retrieve list of parameters

Hi
We have around 100 Discoverer reports and I'm trying to find the list of parameters used in each report.
Is there any SQL query that I can use to find the parameters used for each report
or
should I open the reports one by one to fetch the list of parameters used.
I checked the tables in EUL4_US schema but no luck.

give this a try for starters. It looks at the custom folders defined in the business area, which is where any LOV's defined for you parameters would be. As far as looking at the workbooks themselves, no, there is no way to do that in sql.

Maybe you can create a report of type "SQL query (PL/SQL Function returning query". Then in the region source, something like:

UPDATE SQL query using WHERE and a date/time data type... Multiple changes...

I'm using the LabView Database Connectivity Toolset and am using the following query...
UPDATE IndexStation
SET Signal_Size=200
WHERE 'StartTime=12:05:23'
Now the problem is that this command seems to update all rows in the table IndexStation... Not just specifically the row where StartTime=12:05:23
I have tries all sorts of {} [] / ' " around certain characters and column names but it always seems to update all rows...
I've begun to use the SQL query tab in Access to try and narrow down as to why this happens, but no luck!
Any ideas!?

There is nothing about the database toolkit in terms of SQL syntax that would be NI specific. The database Toolkit simply interfaces to MS ADO/DAO and the actual SQL syntax is usually implemented in the database driver or database itself although I wouldn't be surprised if ADO/DAO does at times munch a bit with that too.
The Database Toolkit definitely does not. So this might be a documentation error indeed. My understanding of SQL syntax is in fact rather limited so not sure which databases might use what delimiters to format date/time values. I know that SQL Server is rather tricky thanks to MS catering for the local date/time format in all their tools and the so called universal date/time format has borked on me on several occasions.

Those URIs you've got in your JSPs aren't correct. They should be:
<%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core" %>
<%@ taglib prefix="sql" uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/sql" %>
These are the URIs defined in the standard.jar.
You'd be better off setting up a Tomcat JNDI data source for your application. That will externalize the connection parameters and make it unnecessary to refer to a data source in your JSPs.
You'd be even better off not putting SQL code in your JSPs. They're for presentation. Better to write a Java object that will communicate with the database on the JSP's behalf.
If you just want to select all the rows in the table, the query should be "SELECT * FROM test". You don't need a WHERE clause in that case.
If you change the URIs in your JSPs you should remove the <taglib> from your web.xml. It's not necessary. Tomcat will find the TLD by looking in the JARs in the CLASSPATH and matching the URIs.

Should every SQL query have its own event and command?

Hello,
I am developing an application using Cairngorm. My app uses SQL databases.
I'm creating a separate event and command for each SQL query my application requires. I end up with many events and commands - twenty different event/command pairs and I'm not even done yet.
I was wondering if this is the right way to go, or if somehow similar SQL queries should be grouped together in the same event/command, and if so, how would I implement that elegantly?
I've never used Cairngorm before so I want to make sure I do it correctly.

From my point of view, writing any SQL query or making queries directly from the presentation layer (eg. flex) to the db server it's almost always incorrect, awfull and maybe even insecure. The client layer should be more independent from the implementation layer as for instance the db server you are using. Instead you should call services on the server side and then they should have a DAO layer o whatever where the queries are done. You could then invoke one of this services and pass parameters that indicates what you want to do. (except you are using remoting where you will be invoking methods directly)
Consider the case where you have a Java implemented service layer, you could be using hibernate to access the database and not writing a single line of SQL (maybe some HQL) and then you could do all the queries you need and return the beans retrieved from the database to the client layer using AMF3 and it's serialization/deserialization mechanisms. In a future you could modify your app to use JPA and then this layer use hibernate, then you client layer will remain the same the only changes will be done under the DAO layer.
So again, in my opinion, db server should never be accesed directly from the presentation layer (Flex, Air or whatever) but from the backend services and this sould be completly abstract to the client layer. I have seen some people trying to do SQL queries from Flash but that it's giving a task to the Flash player it has never been intended to do. A miss use of the thin client the Flash Player is and an bad architecture.
It would be great to hear others opinions.

So instead of using the console.
Is there a way any SQL query which get transaction details like SQL query fired, old and new column value etc from DEFERRED_TRAN_ID.

1) which components do I need to install ?
2) how can I setup the components or the operating system or Oracle?
4) where I can download the components? and what would be the name of the components?
4) which SQL software I can run on Windows to access Linux directly using the components or some settings on this software?
5) are there any software that it is free to download?

How will write SQL query to fetch data from each Sub-partition..

Anyone does have any idea about How to write SQL query to fetch data from Sub-partition.
Actually i have one table having composite paritition(Range+list)
Now if i want to fetch data from main partition(Range) the query will be
SELECT * FROM emp PARTITION(q1_2005);
Now i want to fetch data at sub-partition level(List) .But i am not able to get any SQL query for that.
Pls help me to sort out.

SQl query to find incompatibility defined

If two programs are defined as incompatible with one another, the data these programs cannot access simultaneously must also be identified.
This can be found from concurrent program->define from front end ebs login, but is there any SQL query to find this for a particular program or request set??
