Anybody knows handle form's "submit" in JEditorPane?

i recently wrote a simple web browser using JEditorPane and it handles HyperlinkEvent well, including those events within an HTML-frame. But the crucial thing is that i have no idea on how to handle the "submit" event!!! it seems that it would not trigger any kind of HyperlinkEvent!!! That means, when i click on a hyperlink, it goes into another webpage well but when i submit the form (for example, i click the "Submit" button), the JEditorPane (with editable flag set to false) do nothing! In another word, who can tell me how to deal with HTTP-POST result from JEditorPane? i noticed that there is a function called submitData(String) in FormView, and is there any association between this and my question?? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! and BTW it seems that JEditorPane support no JScript at all?

I have a related question (I am thinking that if I figure out how you guys are handling the POST I may be able to fix my problem).
Right now, I find myself in the same situation as zz82, where the submit button ins a JSP page doesn't work inside JEditorPane.
I am using JDK1.3.1 on Windows.
Here is the rest of my situation:
I am using JEditorPane in a WizardPane and I am displaying an already existing jsp form page that has a submit button in it. What I would like to do is to not display that button and instead trigger the "submit" from one of the wizard's buttons (probably the "Next" button).
Could either one of you send me a snippet of the code where you got the Submit to work insed the JEditorPane?
Thanks a lot!

  • The ominous Form Server Submit Form QPAC

    I've seen here at least one more discussion thread regarding the ominous
    Form Server Submit Form QPAC. I think many of the user got confused since this isn't a self-explanatory QPAC, espacially the name!
    I've also studied the appropriate documention
    "Using LiveCycle Forms QPACs". The documentation shows how to use the input and output variables of the QPAC. But it doesn't explain actually the intended use (in my opinion).
    The bad thing on this is that I think the QPAC could even help me, if I would understand it.
    Easy & short question:
    Can I use this QPAC to convert a pdf document (stored in a document variable) into a form variable?
    Any Feedback is welcome...
    Nico

    Hi Nico
    Some background. When Adobe first launched LiveCycle, the first capabilities they needed to expose was encapsulated as Forms Server, and it provided:
    1. Rendering a form. This would take a PDF or XDP file, plus some xml data, merge them together, and produce a PDF file.
    2. Handling a form submission. This would take the data from an http request coming from a Submit button on a form, process it, and extract the XML data.
    The Forms "Submit" QPAC is basically the submission API encapsulated as a QPAC. If you want to know exactly what it does, the best place to look is the LiveCycle Forms documentation.
    So, to your question:
    If a document variable contains a PDF form, you can use the Form Submit QPAC to extract the XML data.
    A form variable is really just the XML data for a form, plus a reference to the PDF or XDP file that should be used for displaying the data - so if you assign the extracted XML to the appropriate node in the form variable, it should work.
    I hope this long ramble is helpful.

  • Form Server Submit Form QPAC - Not pulling data

    Hello everyone,
    I wanted to see if anyone has encountered problems using the above QPAC.
    My situation is as follows
    1) User sends PDF back. PDF is sent back to workflow as a PDF (not XDP)
    2) Form Server Submit Form is setup to extract the data from the form and put it in a document variable
    However, that is not happening. I do know that the document is not broken when it is received from the Email Receiver QPAC (I've used the Avoka Document Extract QPAC to test the form itself) however for whatever reason, the variable is still empty after it is processed.
    Any thoughts are appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Rob

  • Anybody Know of a Expanded Warp Add-in/Plugin?

    I would like to find an addin that does exactly what the Warp
    transform does, except it provides many more handles. The current
    plugin provides only 2 handles (4 if you count the corners). Ideally
    I would like to be able to define the number of handles, but just
    giving a selection of discrete sets (4, 8 16, 32, etc.) would
    probably do what I need. Does anybody know of such an addin?

    Thanks. Since it costs $150 less I'll try it first.

    I was online earlier this week and liked the forms with submit buttons and the Adobe site directed me to upgrade to Adobe PRO XI in order to use forms so I bought five licenses. Just had it installed today and it is now asking me to sign up for forms Central in order to use this feature. What gives? The Adobe site gave me the impression that I would have this feature after purchasing the new upgrade. I would not have purchased the upgrade, let alone five of them had I know this. Am I missing something?

    Acrobat XI comes with the Fromscentral AIR application and the ability to create PDF forms authored in Formscentral. To have more than the free (1 form with 50 responses) level account you need to sign up for a Formscentral subscription.

    Windows drivers for Intel wireless cards are known problematic.. If you have plenty of signal and it still cannot keep or hold the connection the issue can simply be the type of wireless.
    Another problem is using names that windows does not easily handle.
    eg If you set the TC using apple names, like
    Fred Blog's Airport Time Capsule wireless24ad12
    Then to windows this is too long.. it has spaces and it has illegal character.
    Change all names on the TC to suit windows. Short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
    Also security must be suitable.. I have no idea how old or what OS your dell is, but if you still have issues.. pull off the security on the TC for a test.. if the computer suddenly works, it is not compatible with WPA2 AES. Make sure you also use a password that is mix upper and lower case plus numbers.. avoid special characters and make it 10-20 characters long say.. it is not required to be more than that unless you are paranoid.

  • Does anybody know how to turn Bonjour on either on my iPhone or iTunes?

    Does anybody know how to turn on Bonjour, either on my iPhone or in iTunes. it won't sync my photo's, and it tells me Bonjour is turned off. Don't know how as I didn't turn it off. Many thanks AndrewJ60

    Not 100% sure, since I deactivated my FaceCrap account some time ago, but I believe the technology used for the chat function on FaceBook is incompatible with Safari. Its possible an alternate browser such as icob Mobile would handle it, but I doubt it. Best option is to use the FB app. Frankly, using an iOs device and trying to avoid apps is not at all practical.

  • I have produced DVD using iMovie, now want to download this back to iMovie, will not read DVD, have been told a piece of software available - any chance anybody knows what?

    have produced DVD using iMovie, now want to download this back to iMovie, will not read DVD, have been told a piece of software available - any chance anybody knows what?

    Handbrake is not ideal for this.
    You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:
    http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-mac.html
    which is free, but you must also have the  Apple mpeg2 plugin :
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/mpeg2/
    (unless you are running Lion in which case see below))
    which is a mere $20.
    Another possibility is to use DVDxDV:
    http://www.dvdxdv.com/NewFolderLookSite/Products/DVDxDV.overview.htm
    which costs $25.
    For the benefit of others who may read this thread:
    Obviously the foregoing only applies to DVDs you have made yourself, or other home-made DVDs that have been given to you. It will NOT work on copy-protected commercial DVDs, which in any case would be illegal.
    If you are running Lion:
    From the MPEG Streamclip homepage
    The installer of the MPEG-2 Playback Component may refuse to install the component in Lion. Apple states the component is unnecessary in Lion, however MPEG Streamclip still needs it.
    To install the component in Lion, please download MPEG Streamclip 1.9.3b7 beta above; inside the disk image you will find the Utility MPEG2 Component Lion: use it to install the MPEG-2 Playback Component in Lion. The original installer's disk image (QuickTimeMPEG2.dmg) is required.
    The current versions of MPEG Streamclip cannot take advantage of the built-in MPEG-2 functionality of Lion. For MPEG-2 files you still need to install the QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component, which is not preinstalled in Lion. You don't have to install QuickTime 7.

    Hi
    You can catch the form close event like this
    If ((pVal.FormType = 139 And (pVal.EventType = SAPbouiCOM.BoEventTypes.et_FORM_CLOSE)) And (pVal.Before_Action = True)) Then
          Try
                   SBO_Application.SetStatusBarMessage(pVal.EventType.ToString())
          Catch ex As Exception
                    SBO_Application.SetStatusBarMessage(ex.Message)

  • So... anybody know for sure how AirPlay works?

    I've been wondering about this for a while. Seems like there are a couple of ways AirPlay might work:
    1) iPhone/iPad device is playing video, you tell it to AirPlay the video on your Apple TV instead, it takes whatever it is playing back, runs it through an h.264 encoder on the iPhone/iPad and sends that to the Apple TV. Requires something like double the Wifi bandwidth than just playing the video on the iPhone/iPad. Also likely requires hardware support in the iPhone/iPad for h.264 encoding, something that isn't present on the Mac.
    2) iPhone/iPad device is playing video, you tell it to AirPlay the video on your Apple TV, the Apple TV takes over and requests the video directly from the web site, and your iPhone/iPad just becomes a controller for the video, just sending simple commands to the Apple TV (Play, Rewind, Jump to position X). Requires only the same wifi bandwidth, not 2X. The video could also be played back at a higher resolution than it might have been on your iPhone. However, this method wouldn't support anything that the Apple TV can't handle. So forget playing back games via AirPlay. Only audio and video compatible iwth the Apple TV. VLC couldn't add an AirPlay either.
    Anybody know?

    My understanding is that there are two components to Airplay and they are Audio and Video.
    In the case of a Home Shared iTunes library when running either the iPod or Video applications that come standard with the device these application only allow you to Airplay the Audio in other words you can select speakers other than those on the device. My guess is that Apple never saw Airplay Video as a requirement given that an AppleTV '2nd Generation' can access a shared iTunes Library in its own right.
    However if the media has been downloaded aka Sync'd from the iTunes Library to the device then in these circumstances Airplay Video is supported and you can select the AppleTV and play the media. So in summary it is the Video that is accessed through the Home Share arrangements that cannot be Airplayed to an AppleTV. I hope that makes sense.
    In the case of a third party application like the ABC's iView 'available from the Apps Store' this allows you to Airplay Video to a AppleTV HDMI connected to a compatible HD TV. This type of connectivity requires a High Broadband connection like ADSL/2 that will run at a minumum of at least 1.1 Mbps '1026Kbps' for best results. These resources are streamed from the Suppliers Server in this case the 'ABC' and not actually downloaded and saved to your Hard Disc.
    Another third party program that is also available through the Apps Store is Air Video which allows you to Airplay Videos to an AppleTV which are located in your iTunes Library.
    In summary my guess is that Apple did not see the value in having Airplay supporting iTunes Videos given that you can access these resources directly
    on the AppleTV.

    Hi Erez,
    You will find that object mentioned in the SDK training material and E-learning. See e.g. here:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/businessone-elearning
    ...go to Basic UI API...
    This object handles the communication between the B1 GUI application and UI API...  The mechanism there is basically the same as for Add-Ons...

  • Anybody know why...? (PDF question)

    Anybody know why, when I open an editable PDF in acrobat READER, I get this message?
    http://grab.by/78cw
    I have PRO, & have been using the distribution service Acrobat offers. I would, however, like to send a PDF that people can edit w/ their info & then SAVE to their computer.
    Is this possible?

    Use the Extend Features in Acrobat Reader from the Advanced menu. Will work in Reader 8 & 9. Be advised that there are limits of 500 uses per form (either you can send it to 500 people or you can receive data from 500 people if you send it to more). Read the EULA.

  • How to implement a Hitting Return that causes a form to submit

    Hi all
    I'm giving a look on internet and it's not so simple with jsf as call document.forms['myForm'].submit();
    Jsf uses something like this
    if(typeof jsfcljs == 'function'){jsfcljs(document.forms['mainForm'],'mainForm:fireSearch4Indexes,mainForm:fireSearch4Indexes','');}return false
    on <a> onclick element
    I'm using also a4j that includes other code on this I think
    someone knows how can I achieve that.
    thanks a lot

    I have a similar problem and partially solved it with jQuery. I attach a key listener to each input field and fire the click event of the submit button if Enter is pressed. Some of my forms (with only one input field) does not work correctly with this and the form is submitted via form action instead of the onclick A4J event :-/
    jQuery(".search input:text").keypress(function(e) {
                    if (e.which == 13 || e.keyCode == 13) { // ENTER-Key
                          jQuery(".btnSearch").click();
    });

  • Does anybody know the itunes startup switches / command lines?

    I have 2 itunes librarys and dont like having to hold Shift when I open itunes every time to switch itunes librarys.
    I want to create 2 shortcuts to itunes on my desktop, each containing a switch / command line to open the desired library
    Does anybody know what the switches / command lines are to startup itunes?

    As far as I know, the only arguments iTunes.exe supports is a path to a file to start playing (music or video). You can't tell it via command-line switches to open a certain library.
    I do however have a helper program that will do what you want. You give it the path to your library folder as an argument, so you have to create shortcuts to my exe, with the library folder as the argument.
    For example, if the path to one of your iTunes Library is C:\library (i.e. inside C:\library is the file "iTunes Library.itl", the "iTunes Music" folder, etc.), then the shortcut target would be:<pre>C:\itunesopenlibrary.exe -b C:\library</pre>
    The program works by editing the iTunes Prefs.xml directly, then starting iTunes. The -b switch is to make a backup of the prefs file before editing it. Note, however, that it only makes one backup; the next time you run itunesopenlibrary.exe with "-b", it will overwrite the last backup.
    Download the program here:
    http://mysite.verizon.net/teridon/itunesscripts/index.html#itunesopenlibrary
    The forum TOS requires me to say: "I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link" because I have a paypal donation link on my webpage, but the program is free (donation totally optional)

    thanks a lot,

    All of Apple's Latin America contact info is here:

    This is just a user to user forum.  So that's probably the best you can get.  If there is no e-mail you can submit an inquiry, you can try:
