Does anyone know what ppqryErrorList is used for in EssOtlQueryMembersEx?
Given a calcscript, I'm wondering if I can get a list of errors back it has multiple errors (e.g. member not found, syntax error etc.) when I run EssOtlQueryMembersEx.
I've looked at the documentation (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10530_01/doc/epm.931/html_esb_api/api_c/otlc/funcs/apcfqmex.htm) and looks like ppqryErrorList does the job for me. However, I'm getting a NULL pointer to ppqryErrorList regardless or whethere there's an error or not.
e.g. when I call "@ICHILD(blah)" with EssOtlQueryMembersEx I'm hoping the error list (ppqryErrorList) will contain "member not found blah" but it infact returns NULL.
This parameter on EssOtlQueryMembersEx must be there for a reason. Does anyone know what this is used for?
Btw, I'm using Essbase 7

Does anyone know what to do when there is a white flashing light on the Apple TV
It means the update failed and your AppleTV can't start.
You need to restore by connecting to a computer running current iTunes via a USB to micro USB cable.
See:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4367
Pay attention to differences in power connection depending on whether or not you have AppleTV2 or AppleTV 3. -
I have an iphone 5 and i would like to connect it to a radio or speakers to play music but i dont know which cable is used and where can i get it.
Depends on the home radio. You can connect a 3.5mm jack to the iPhone and, if your radio has a 3.5mm input, connect that to your radio. If your radio only has RCA style connectors, you can buy an adapter like the one pictured.
Regardless of which method you use, make sure to select the correct input on your radio. You'll also need to turn the volume on your iPhone all the way up.
I hope that makes sense. If not, what's the model of your radio? -
Anyone know what these are used for??
Hi All,
I am putting together some documentation for a CUP implemenation and I have come accross three configuration options in CUP that I have no idea what they pertain to and I can't find any documenation on them.
1. What is the "SAP EP LDAP" connection type used for?
2. What are SOD Review Process Rejected and UAR Review Process Rejected background jobs used for?About "What are SOD Review Process Rejected and UAR Review Process Rejected background jobs used for?", I just talked to an SAP person today to explained to me that this is a job your sec admin would run for example in a UAR review when a particular user in a request had been "rejected" (e.g. "this person doesn't work for me, so I need to reject him so he can get sent to the right mgr"). When the reviewer (mgr) rejects the user, then the admin figures out based on the reason (e.g. changed jobs, terminated, etc) what action to take. For instance may be to cancel the request for termination. If the user has changed jobs, then the sec admin would need to go to the LDAP (or whatever source you use) to fix up the mgr<->employee relationship info, then run this "Process Rejected" job. The rejected user will then be put into a new request, and the rest of the original request can be processed by the 1st mgr. I haven't tried all this yet, but sounded reasonable to me...

Does anyone know what software is used for creating this?
I have seen this effect on a few television adverts and wondered how I would go about creating it.
In this click the ball is kicked and as it gets to the screen it "breaks" into pieces and the ball comes out of the screen - I know this isnt the same ball as seen in the clip and it had been recreated in probably a 3d package such as cinema 4d but how do I get the breaking into pieces like that -

In this clip the person just starts breaking into pieces -

I guess they are both done using the same software and effect and all I really want to know is the software and effect used. Any additional help would be appreciated but I would like to try and work out the rest for myself - I'm halfway along a learning curve!
PS - Both stills are taken from the OneSize Showreel.Well, After Effects has a shattering effect, but I'd guess it was a 3D app that created those effects. To see what you can do with Motion, check out this thread:

Does anyone know what software was used for Mac Welcome Video?
As you may remember when you turned your mac on for the first time, a ver neat welcome video played with upbeat music. Well I just wanted to know if anybody knew what program(s) was used to make it. If you know or have any idea please tell me. Thanks!
Hi and welcome to discussions. I tried to find something about it, but was not successful. I would guess though that this has been made using some of Apple's own software, everything else would not really make sense. And there actually is one tool in the portfolio capable of creating something like that: Motion. So, as an educated guess, I would say that's the one.

PDF encryption - anyone know what kind Apple uses?
I really like the ease with which you can produce encrypted PDFs to store sensitive data. I'm trying to find out what kind of protection this provides. 40bit ? 256bit? Can't find any official Apple data on this.
Thanks.Unless things have changed, it's 128-bit RC4. Apple changed to that from 40-bit RC4 as of Security Update 2008-002 for 10.5.2.

Does anyone know what the DAC is in the current iPod Touch?
Title says it all. I know Apple used to use Wolfson DAC's, which I really like. Just curious.
The original iPod touch used Wolfson Microelectronics WM8758BG[58]
The later ones all used Cirrus Logic ones.
I have not heard anything negitive with Cirrus Logic

Anyone know what this black spot is on my ipod touch screen?!
thanks for looking.... have my problem on youtube if anyone wants to help
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gI-EumwugiQHi Dave,
Does the iPod have any accidental damage or abuse?
Do you see the spot when the iPod is powered off or resetting?
It looks like the iPod needs hardware repair, you can make a reservation to have a Genius at a local Apple retail store replace it or call AppleCare.

Anyone know what filesystem used by MDS?
This is more of nuts and bolts curiosity than anything of importance. But as most know the MDS is running a form of linux. Does anyone know what filesystem is used? There is a kjournald process so my guess is ext3, but I wasn't sure if there was a proprietary type of filesytem, compressed, etc. Is anyone aware?
Hello bfeeny,
It's ext3, like you expected :-)

When I go to my folders in the doc, the fan feature is not there. I stays in grid. I can click list. Once in list (and list only), the fan option has returned. However when I click it, it just goes to automatic. My folders just have 3 items in them.
