I do NOT have and do NOT wish to use any proxy blocker etc software
is it usable / will it work ?

That is awesome! I am going to be traveling to Europe in the next few weeks and was wondering abou this. I also bought the Skype phone so that my mom can call me from her landline phone. I am wondering about the pay subscription. It asked me what my region was. My question is: Would I be able to call from my Kindle Fire to my mom's landline phone with this subscription? I have a portuguese phone and I am abroad - in Andorra.
If someone calls me from skype, which rate will be applied? From Portugal to Andorra, or From Portugal to Portugal?
And what about my Mobile Phone, will I have to support roaming costs?

your partner's mobile is registered in the UK
calls forwarded from Skype to that UK number are covered (as you know)
as is, forwarded calls would still be going to the UK number, and he would pay roaming charges from his mobile carrier for the priviledge of answering these calls while abroad (iow, has nothing to do with Skype)
if he got a local SIM for his mobile phone while abroad, then Skype could be forwarded to that number for free if he added a Skype subscription that covers SkypeOut calls to the number associated with that local SIM (in your example this would be Unlimited US/Canada sub)

Change primary email address using the Skype app

I am automatically logged in to Skype on my iPad however I don't remember the password (it is saved automatically and every time I turn on my iPad it automatically logs me into skype)
The problem is I forgot the password. And I don't have access to the email address associated with the account.
How can I change my primary email address using the Skype app?

Using Address Book with 2 mobile phones

Since a few weeks I have a second mobile phone that I also use with iSync for contact and calendar synchronisation. The problem was that Address Book could only pair with / connect to the newly added phone, not the 'old phone' anymore.
I found some old threads with the same problem stated, but no answers were given. I did find a fix for it though. I used the application Pref Setter to clear the preferences of Address Book (you can also delete the file located at: /library/preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.plist). Restart Address Book and the bleutooth mobile phone entry is now empty again. You will be able to choose a phone to pair with.
However, if anyone knows how to use 2 phones simultaniously, please tell me!

You can't use Address Book with more than one phone at the same time unfortunately, it simply does not have this functionality.
I developed a little application called "Reset Address Book Pairing" which does exactly that without deleting (and therefore losing) your Address Book preferences. Just one setting in the prefs actually needs changing.
It's included with the Sony Ericsson Address Book Enabler, which adds Call & SMS support for over 40 new Sony Ericsson phones to the Mac Address Book.

I cant use my skype app

Earlier today I was on the skype app that came with my windows 8 computer. Then I log on later today and it says that I can only use skype desktop. I tried reinstalling it and that still didn't work. I don't like the way skype desktop is designed and i would like my skype app, what do i do?

Using the Skype app

When using Skype I am experiencing very bad sound feedback when I talk. There are no settings etc within the Skype app and having checked the iPad settings there does not seem to be any setting that can be altered regarding this issue. Can you advise what I can do to eliminate this feedback as it spoils the Skype video call I have with my daughter.

Thanks but the feedback only occurs on the iPad. If I use my Sony Viao this issue does not happen. Is there settings that I need to alter on the iPad.

I don't have an iphone, but the YouView app looks really clever, similar to the Sky App.

I'm not endorsing anything - just asking if anyone has used it and moreso - how does it work? My YouView isn't an "account", I don't login to it, so how do I record from my phone, and it record it on my box at home?

I use it with my business and love it. Must leave the "remote" computer on at all times if you want to access. Great when traveling. And yes, you can work in any program as if you were sitting at your desk regardless of what it it is, access files, programs, etc... There is some lag at times but you can do what you need. At least that is my experience.

Does using the skype app (from my iphone to a computer)over 3G cost me money, or is it free like Wifi?

I was at a family dinner last night and included my college daughter at the table via Skype on my iphone. She was on her laptop. After about 30 minutes, I remembered that my mother-in-law does not do technology, and has no internet, so I was on 3G, and not Wifi. I have AT&T. Does anyone know offhand what fees (if any) are involved? I don't have unlimited data, although I never come near the alloted amount of data usage I am allowed per month. Skype has always been free when I've used it over Wifi. Am I just paying for data usage, or am I going to get charged for making some kind of call? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

JPG's saved using Photoshop and emailed to mobile phones will not open

I am using CS5 on a Mac OSX.
I am pretty proficient with Photoshop and have been using this version for several years. This may not be a new situation, I may just have discovered it.
I have emailed from Outlook to two different iPhone (both 5's) and an Android phone. I don't know what the message was on the Android but on the iPhone it starts downloading then displays a greyed out box labeled "mime-attachment".
I have tried changing the file size. I have tried 8 and 16 bit settings.
There isn't any problem opening the files on notebooks and desktop computers.
If I import the file into iPhoto (a Mac program for managing and editing photos) and then resave it, the jpgs email perfectly.
Any ideas?

Thank Imransim, looking at the mime threat it gave me an idea to try another approach. I tried sending the files using Hotmail and they emailed and were received perfectly.
Conclusion is that the problem is Outlook on my Mac. I will get someone else to use Outlook and send a file saved in Photoshop to my mobile and will report back.

Can I use the Ericsson F3507 as mobile phone?

I've got a UMTS SIM-card which is also a cellphone SIM-card for my thinkpad. Now I've seen that I can send/receive SMS with it, but I haven't seen a option to phone with it. The last two days I searched for a software to do so, but I only found a software named "Mobile Partner" created by Huawei Technologies. But it is about other UMTS modems than I have.
I would really like such a feature for thinkpads.
The modelnumber of my Thinkpad T500 is 2082-52G.
OS: Windows Vista Business 32bit (German)
