Apache and WebDB for Linux - AUTHENTICATION PROBLEM
I have WebDB on a Linux box (redhat 6) and I 'd like to run
Apache as interface to an Oracle 8i (linux) database.
I did all requested configuration tasks and it works, but it
cannot connect to oracle database because it gets an
authentication failure (it seems browser postes a NULL value in
Userid and Password fields).
Can anyone help me please ?
thanks

We are testing webdb for linux and it's great !
More stable than NT/2K.
Install one DB Server, after it the webdb.
Just download, rapdily read de install guide, and start to work.
We are trying now 9iAS. It's more complete than WebDB, int truth
Oracle Portal (old webdb) is now part of 9iAS.
Start using it !

Hi,
Did anyone know if WebDB for Linux available for
download?
nullNo need to get "THE" WebDB "for" linux. Just grab webdb for NT or
solaris, and follow the manual installation procedures to install
webdb database objects in your oracle/linux server. Then you will
need oracle web application server (which is available for linux)
and configure a DAD and a PL/SQL agent to access webdb.

My app store is not working after installing mavericks. When I open app store it repeatedly asking me to login with apple ID and to provide User name and Password for proxy authentication in a loop.I am a newbie to mac,Please help me.
Hmmmm... would appear that you need to be actually logged in to enable the additional menu features.
Have you tried deletting the plists for MAS?
This page might help you out...

Failing that, I will have to throw this back to the forum to see if anyone else can advise further.
Let me know how you get on?

for those who managed to get Oracle Reports Server/Developer 6i Release 2 for Linux to work with RWServlet i.e.:
calling reports like this :
http://hostname:port/webApp/RWServlet?server=...+userid=...+otherParams=Paramsvalues
I want to know:
1-Wich linux distribution you have?
-Mine is RedHat 7.1
2-the version of glibc you had when you installed it?
-Mine is glibc-2.2.2
3-the web listener
-Mine is WebLogic 6.0 sp2
I keep having problems with the RWServlet, you know the famous error: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: rwinit
Can't find rwsvl60 dynamic library in the system. Please check system path to include rwsvl60 library.

I've read on some bug report and forums that on Linux you have to copy the library $ORACLE_HOME/bin/rwsvl60.so to
$ORACLE_HOME/lib/librwsvl60.so and put the $ORACLE_HOME/lib directory in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable.
Even if you do this, you still have the java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: rwinit.
So i've decompiled the RWServlet.class file to put some debug code in it, and look what i obtained:

There is apparently a problem with librwsvl60.so and libca60.so, I think its a problem with the version of glibc you use

Hi All,
I am currently set up the (tomcat) jsp engine on top of apache web server.
And now i would like to install both sqlj and a jdbc driver such
that I can query our oracle database. In all of the options for downloads
there is a windoze option and a solaris option. Do I have to wait for specific
"linux" version to get them to work. Or is the solaris option alright
for linux ??
slightly confused,
ChrisUnfortunately, this description is still rather unspecific.
It sounds, as if there might be an issue with the way database connections are established for the SQLJ and JDBC parts of your program. Could you provide more information on that, specifically on how you obtain JDBC connections and SQLJ connection contexts. -
Macs joined to AD Domain, and 802.1x/mab authentication problems
Hello, I've got a situation where i have a small handful of Mac Pro's running OS 10.6 that are having some trouble with wired 802.1x/MAB (Mac Autehntication Bypass) on our cisco switches. We have our macs setup so that they autenticate to our windows domain for user login, plus, we have 802.1x authenciation (for our windows clients) and MAB bypass for our macs, printers, and assorted other equipment. Problem seems to be, the Mac boots up before the switch goes into MAB bypass and wont let the user login to the network. Has anyone ran across this problem before and found a solution?
hello,
in my organization we have multiple 3560/2960 series switches and some 4500 with MAB.
the interfaces have the following config:
authentication host-mode multi-auth
authentication order mab dot1x
authentication priority mab dot1x
authentication port-control auto
authentication periodic
authentication timer restart 120
authentication timer reauthenticate server
authentication timer inactivity 600

Hi,
You cannot use fp-1601 ethernet with Linux. That is because the communication protocols are privated from NI and are only for windows.
U can use Linux with Fp-1000/1001-2000/2010. See attached document for longer explanation,

Is there any OAS and WebDb for RH6.0 now?
Hi,
I get a lot of trouble when I install the Webdb on RH 6.0, and
I get a very sad story that it does not work on RH6.0 at all.
Is there any WebDB for RH6.0 be available now, or we can use
some way to make it run?
I also meet some trouble when I install the OAS 4.0.7 on RH6.0
too. After install the OAS, I find that the SQL*NET in OAS 4.0.7
does not work under RH6.0.
Any help should be appreciated.
nullMimiKLM,
I don't know of a way to modify the default value of built-in primitives as you create them (so, making a numeric Local variable default to a value other than 0). As Juergen mentioned, if you create a custom data type, you can set a default in the Type Editor.
Are you instead referring to setting a default value for a specific variable in your sequence? You can easily do this by simply setting a value in the Variables pane. For example, if I have a numeric Local variable called MyVar in my MainSequence, I can click on it in the Variables pane and set the value to any number I want, such as 3. This will change the default value of that variable.

What is that unixODBC-2.2.14-linux-x86-32.tar.gz, where did it come from, and why are you doing all that?
unixODBC should be installed after step 5.
I guess that that is the cause of your problem.
isql is not linked against readline at all on my RHEL 5 system.
Do you notice any improvement after removing the files from that tar.bz file?

I am setting up a website with SSL: https://coalitionportelgin.ca The SSL connection works (and intermediate certificates are retrieved) in Chrome on Linux, OS-X, and Windows 7; ChromeOS; Firefox (18.0) on OS-X and Linux; and Safari on OS-X, iOS, and Windows.
However, I am still getting connection errors on Firefox 18.0 on Windows 7 and on all Android browsers, with "This Connection is Untrusted...because no issuer chain was provided."
This diagnostic tool shows the certificate chain is being pulled, but still reports "Unable to get the local issuer of the certificate. The issuer of a locally looked up certificate could not be found."
http://www.networking4all.com/en/support/tools/site+check/report/?fqdn=coalitionportelgin.ca&protocol=https
Intermediate certificate is installed:
$ ls /etc/ssl/certs |grep GandiStandardSSLCA.pem
GandiStandardSSLCA.pem
And it is being pointed to:
$ grep -i -r "SSLCertificateChainFile" /etc/apache2/
/etc/apache2/sites-available/000-coalitionportelgin.ca-ssl: SSLCertificateChainFile /etc/ssl/certs/GandiStandardSSLCA.pem
/etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-coalitionportelgin.ca-ssl: SSLCertificateChainFile /etc/ssl/certs/GandiStandardSSLCA.pem
/etc/apache2/httpd.conf: SSLCertificateChainFile /etc/ssl/certs/GandiStandardSSLCA.pem
For good measure, the intermediate and root certificates have also been appended to the server certificate.
I have followed all steps indicated by the cert provider, as well as other sources, and have spent hours troubleshooting this. I don't see anything more to be done. Is this a problem of server configuration (and if so, what?) or is this a problem that I can't do anything about?Try to ask advice about web development at the MozillaZine "Web Development/Standards Evangelism" forum.

isql: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryThe readline library is in package readline-4.3-13 on RHEL4 and in readline-5.1-1.1 for RHEL5 on my servers (minor version number are of course dependent on the kernel version used).
This is also not an ODBC or Oracle issue. It seems that isql is using rlwrap or similar - this requires the readline library. And possibly LD_LIBRARY_PATH to be set too. -
Searched High and low for this vista problem
Hi,
I am using vista and Flash MX
Before you ask, I have to be able to use MX because someone I
do alot of work with uses Linux and I guess MX is the most updated
version he can use.
The problem is that the fonts in the properties and color mix
windows along with others. are impossible to read. They are pixely
and blurred. I can't even read it!!
Does anyone else have this problem or can you think of a way
to fix it? I've tried uninstalling flash and reinstalling it, that
didn't work. You cant expect MX to work with Vista, MX was created before
Vista was even a thought in someones mind. I would suggest that you
create a new partition on your hard drive, and install XP on it,
then you can dual boot XP and Vista.
