Apache - Weblogic Connection Issue

Hi
we are facing with Apache weblogic communication issues.
The communication with Apache and Weblogic works for some time ( few hrs), But after some time we get the below error.
Let us take one pair. (Apachedevv1 ----> Weblogicdevp1)
Yesterday evening it was working fine. Today morning I see the below error.
http://Apachedevv1/
Failure of server APACHE bridge:
No backend server available for connection: timed out after 10 seconds or idempotent set to OFF.
Build date/time: Apr 20 2009 21:26:02
Change Number: 1211636
Then I run the below command on Weblogicdevp1
C:\> telnet Apachedevv1 80
This is success as the Apache is running on Apachedevv1:80
Now If I access the URL http://Apachedevv1/ it is success now and I get the weblogic home page.
Pls let us know if you had face this type of issue earlier.
Following are the lines added in httpd.conf of Apache.
<IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
WebLogicHost Weblogicdevp1
WebLogicPort 7001
</IfModule>
<Location />
SetHandler weblogic-handler
</Location>
I see the below errors in error.log of Apache.
[Wed Dec 29 09:10:59 2010] [error] [client xx.yy.49.39] ap_proxy: trying GET / at backend host 'xx.yy.86.54/7001; got exception 'CONNECTION_REFUSED [os error=0, line 1715 of ../nsapi/URL.cpp]: Error connecting to host xx.yy.86.54:7001'

[Wed Dec 29 09:11:07 2010] [error] [client xx.yy.49.39] ap_proxy: trying GET / at backend host 'xx.yy.86.54/7001; got exception 'CONNECTION_REFUSED [os error=0, line 1715 of ../nsapi/URL.cpp]: Error connecting to host xx.yy.86.54:7001'
Thanks

The error means , there is no application server running on that port configured in apache that is 7001 at the time of issue.
One more thing you are doing telnet on 80 , but you should do telnet on 7001 and not on apache port.
So if you face the issue again, please do telnet on weblogic host like " telnet weblogicdevp1 7001".
It's not problem with apache version and weblogic plugin version.
You can integrate weblogic with apache using mod_proxy module also, pls refer the below link for more info:

  • Apache weblogic plugin issue

    Hi,
    Configuration: Apache 2.0.63 as the front end to weblogic (9.1) application server. same thing observed in weblogic 9.2 as well.
    Our client application sends the Cookies to the Apache:
    Cookie: Server_session_id=XXXXXXXX
    Cookie: JSESSIONID=LhTTZ2Cs1JSlRMPgGTx4BxmG67ML3ryv0PlPbYkhp4s72dpngsJl!-912570241
    But Apache weblogic plugin when sends the request to weblogic:
    Cookie: DAKServer_session_id=14612273741264701005679, JSESSIONID=LhTTZ2Cs1JSlRMPgGTx4BxmG67ML3ryv0PlPbYkhp4s72dpngsJl!-912570241
    Note: comma is used as deliminator
    HttpservletRequest consider only 1 cookie instead of 2.
    I’m looking for resolution for this. Is there a way I can configure Apache plugin to send 2 cookies or configure it to send cookies with deliminator ‘;’
    Please help.
    Thanks..
    Usha

    I asked the same question and was told that this is not possible. There is only one way that the plugin can balance requests and that is using the round robin approach. If you talk to support, ask them to submit a feature request. ...I was told that if enough people request more options for load balancing, they may build it into the plug-in.

  • Weblogic Connection with Oracle JMS AQ errors

    Hi All,
    I am a newbie with SOA 11g and I am trying to do a simple test case for a use case of connecting Oracle AQ JMS with Weblogic and using it in my SOA 11g process. I am trying to publish something to my queue that I created but I am getting this error in the weblogic / soa log files pasted below :
    The steps I followed exactly are this :
    1) Created a Database Queue called DemoInqueue using the following scripts :
    exec dbms_aqadm.create_queue_table ( queue_table=> 'DemoInQueue', queue_payload_type=> 'SYS.AQ$_JMS_TEXT_MESSAGE', multiple_consumers=> FALSE, compatible=> '8.1');
    COMMIT;
    exec dbms_aqadm.create_queue(queue_name=> 'DemoInQueue', queue_table=> 'DemoInQueue');
    COMMIT;
    exec dbms_aqadm.start_queue('DemoInQueue');
    COMMIT;
    2) Created a Data Source in weblogic server : Called it using the JNDI name : jdbc/oracle/jms Driver Class Name : oracle.jdbc.xa.client.OracleXADataSource (I tested the connection it works fine)
    3) Created a JMS Module (JMSTestModule) and then Created a New Summary of Resource for it ( AQServer) and chose option Foregin Server.
    Under General Tab, I gave "oracle.jms.AQjmsInitialContextFactory" as the JNDI Initial Context Factory and Under JNDI Properties I put in "datasource=jdbc/oracle/jms" as I created the above datasource.
    Under Connection Factores I created a new "ForeignConnectionFactory-0". Under Configuration I gave Local JNDI name as "jms/DemoCF" and remote JNDI Name as "XAQueueConnectionFactory" (I have also tried with
    QAConnectionFactory but no difference )
    Under Destinations I created a new "ForeignDestination-0" with local JNDI name as "jms/DemoInQ" and Remote JNDI Name as "Queues/DemoInQueue" (Because my Queue name is that)....
    4) I restarted the Weblogic Server then went to SOA suite and tried a very simple process Hello world added a JMS adpater....Inside the adpater I selected OEMS (Advanced Queueing), App server my weblogic server,
    operation as ProduceMessage and when I hit Browse I was able to see my AQServer ForeignDestination-0 Queue. I selected it and under destination name it populated "jms/DemoInQ" but under JNDI name it also
    populated "eis/aqjms/Queue" I left that as is and deployed my process and tried invoking it. It failed with the error message below.....I also tried modifying the JNDI name to something else...in Jdev..but the results
    are the same....
    Are these steps correct ? Am I missing something here.?
    I followed all the blogs and forums in this site and I think I did all the steps...but if anyone can help me I would really appreciate it...

    Thanks for passing along the link.
    The part about Oracle's documentation not mentioning the JmsAdapter configuration was a real sticking point for me - I was having the same problem as the original poster until I updated that deployment as the link outlined.
    Also, towards the end of that link the author mentions running in to problems getting their composite to successfully bind to the queue definitions that were created in WebLogic.
    I attempted post my solution to this on the original site, but I'm not sure if it got through - so I'll add the details of what worked for me here:
    Connection Factory:
    Local JNDI: aqjms/JMSTest_Connection_Factory
    Remote JNDI: XAQueueConnectionFactory
    Destination:
    Local JNDI: aqjms/JMSTest_Queue
    Remote JNDI: Queues/JMSTest_Queue
    Outbound Connection Pool:
    Name: eis/aqjms/JMSTest_Queue
    Connection Factory: aqjms/JMSTest_Connection_Factory
    JDeveloper Composite:
    Destination Name: aqjms/JMSTest_Queue
    JNDI Name: eis/aqjms/JMSTest_Queue

  • JCA Binding Component connection issue in the Oracle Order Demo Application

    Hi,
    I setup the Oracle Fusion Middleware. I also deployed the Oracle Fusion Order Demo Application in the soa_server. I placed the order in the store front web.I initiated the webservice (OrderBookingService) and found the below error in the soa_server_diagnostic log file.
    =====================================================================================================================================
    Caused by: BINDING.JCA-12563
    Exception occured when binding was invoked.
    Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'Write' failed due to: JCA Binding Component connection issue.
    JCA Binding Component is unable to create an outbound JCA (CCI) connection.
    OrderBookingComposite:USPSShipment [ Write_ptt::Write(body) ] : The JCA Binding Component was unable to establish an outbound JCA CCI connection due to the following issue: BINDING.JCA-12510
    JCA Resource Adapter location error.
    Unable to locate the JCA Resource Adapter via .jca binding file element <connection-factory/>
    The JCA Binding Component is unable to startup the Resource Adapter specified in the <connection-factory/> element: location='eis/file/FODFileAdapter'.
    The reason for this is most likely that either
    1) the Resource Adapters RAR file has not been deployed successfully to the WebLogic Application server or
    2) the '<jndi-name>' element in weblogic-ra.xml has not been set to eis/file/FODFileAdapter. In the last case you will have to add a new WebLogic JCA connection factory (deploy a RAR).
    Please correct this and then restart the Application Server
    The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception.
    =====================================================================================================================================

    Thanks Guys.
    I resolved the issue.
    The issue is that FileAdapter for FulFillment mediator is missing.
    Solution 1:
    File adapter connection factory needs to be created via the weblogic console
    The details below:
         JNDI Name: eis/file/FODFileAdapter
         controlDir          java.lang.String     /tmp/control
         inboundDataSource     java.lang.String     jdbc/SOADataSource
         outboundDataSource     java.lang.String     jdbc/SOADataSource
         outboundDataSourceLocal     java.lang.String     jdbc/SOALocalTxDataSource
         outboundLockTypeForWritejava.lang.String     oracle
    Solution 2:
    seedFodFileAdapterResources target in $FOD_HOME/bin/common-sca-tools.xml needs to be executed to create the file adaptor.
    Thanks.

    Is it related to SSO ? Because error mentions about SSOManager
    But why does AppsLocalLogin need to go thru SSO ?
    Doesn it mean Jserv issues ? I am able to see same message logged in jvm logs ?

    So, my question is why AppsLogin and AppsLocalLogin are not working - if servlets / AOL / FND / OAM links are working
    Is there issue with Jserv ?
    Can someone please explain the significance of the above tests
    And which tests need to pass for AppsLogin and AppsLocalLogin to work

    Since all the tests work fine as you stated above, I suggest you do the following:
    - Rerun Autoconfig on all tiers
    - rm -rf $OA_HTML/_pages
    - Bounce Apache

  • Apache - weblogic  connector query

    I am configuring Apache 2.0 - Weblogic server 8.1 on Linux.
    In this setup, Apache is the Web Server and Weblogic is the App Server. We
    are using the library "mod_wl_20.so" to connect Apache and Weblogic.
    Weblogic default port : 7001
    Apache default port : 80
    After configuring this setup, the request are getting correctly routed
    through the apache server port. i.e. the URL
    http://localhost:80/gepam/jsp/test.jsp gets the proper request from
    weblogic.
    But at the sane time , we are also able to hit the site using the weblogic
    server port i.e. http://localhost:7001/gepam/jsp/test.jsp . We want to
    disable this weblogic web server port.
    Any clue on how to go about. Your valuable suggestion is highly appreciated.

    We don't have apache plugin for Win NT.
    check our platform support page.

    Should be OK. I was running that combination for a while and can't recall any serious issues during install.
    I am currently running 8.0.5.1 on a Mandrake 7.2 PC. The install was pretty straightforward :
    - Install compatability RPMs (I used slightly higher versioned RPMs than listed in the Oracle documentation);
    - Install 8.0.5.1 s/w;
    - Apply Oracle patch;
    - Create dbs;
    - Configure listener;
    - Create the startup/shutdown rc script and links.
    That's about it for the installation.
    I haven't put the database to much use yet, so there may be other issues ahead :)
    Oh, one thing to note on that last point is that you should have a look at how the /etc/rc.d/rc file operates.
    Under Mandrake 7.2 it will look for a file in /var/lock/subsystem that has the same name as the /etc/init.d script before running the stop script correctly.
    This differs slightly from what I see in the *8.1.7* documentation, so might be due to a difference between mandrake and the other distributions.
    FWIW here is my /etc/init.d/oracle file.
    #!/bin/sh
    # chkconfig: 345 99 10
    # description: Oracle databases
    # Source function library.
    . /etc/init.d/functions

    touch /var/lock/subsys/oracle

    su - oracle -c '. $HOME/.oraclerc && dbshut && lsnrctl stop'
    rm -f /var/lock/subsys/oracle
    restart)
    cd $CWD

  • Overriding default errror page for Apache-Weblogic bridge

    I am writing this problem again as nobody has replied me with any solution.
    I want to overide the default error page that comes up when weblogic is down
    for some reason in apache-weblogic bridge. I looked into the weblogic
    documentation and specfied the following in the apache configuration file
    ErrorPage http://www.domain.com/systemerror.html
    But for some reason it is not able to locate the domain as well as the page.
    But if try the same url in the browser, it works. Please help.
    Rakesh

    I am using the plugin and using the error page successfully. Apache and WL
    use the same document root, and the error page is located within the
    document root:
    Within the httpd.conf, I have:
    <IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
    # Config file for WebLogic which defines parameters for plugin
    Include conf/weblogic.conf
    </IfModule>

    as worded, that sounds like a network setup problem on the apache server
    side.
    however, it seems that you want a server-connection-timeout error toreturn
    an specific error page via the plug-in. This all depends on how theplugin
    works. If it is how I think it works, there needs to be an INI
    setting
    to sepcify a page. Why? Because the plug-in effectively has control of
    the response. It either needs a way hand control back to the web serveror
    needs to have error pages of its own.

  • Apache Weblogic Brigde

    Hi--
              I am using the Apache-Weblogic(WLS 5.1) bridge on Solaris platform and for
              some reason, I am having problems getting cookies to work.
              The cookie doesn't even get set. But, interestingly the cookie gets written
              if I use the Weblogic's web server
              ie: http://mydomain.com:7001/jsp ....

              String cookieName = "xxx";
              String cookieVal = "testValue";
              Cookie testCookie = null;
              Cookie[] cookies = request.getCookies();
              if (cookies != null){

              testCookie = cookies;

              Thanks.
              Senthil.

    Which service pack are you using? There was a bug in 510 which was causing only
              one
              cookie to be set. This was fixed in SP3 (ISSUE 10680: If setting multiple
              cookies, only
              the first one gets set). So the first one may happen to be the WebLogicSession
              cookie.
              So if this is the case please upgrade to SP3. SP4 will be out any time from
              now.

  • HP PhotoSmart 7510 suddenly has severe connectivity issues

    I have a HP PhotoSmart 7510 printer since about 2 months. Initial setup worked like a charm and the printer has been working pretty much perfectly for the last 2 months. Wireless printing, scanning and internet access on the printer (e.g. for Facebook photos) all worked. Just from time to time i would get the occasional (mildly annoying) message on my computer saying "scan to computer is currently unavailable" but it usually worked itself out and whenever I needed it to work, it did work.
    But since a few days ago, it has some severe connectivity issues. I didn't change any settings on the printer, router or computer - the issues just started appearing by themselves. I startet getting much more frequent messages on my computer saying "scan to computer is currently unavailable". I noticed I couldn't print anymore, and restarting computer, printer and/or router didn't help at all. The only thing so far i managed to print wirelessly since the problems started were the first 5 pixel rows of an image I tried to print, the rest didn't transmit.
    It seems the printer still connects to the WLAN but printing and scanning no longer work, and whenever I try to access a web service on the printer (like Facebook) it says it has no internet connection, even though the WLAN light is lit up (not blinking) and all the wireless status reports say "congratulations, no problems found" and display IPs etc. just like normal.
    I looked at the threads "PhotoSmart 7510 connects to router, but not to the web.", "Wireless printer (HP Photosmart 7510) not connecting to network" and "Photosmart 7510 won't connect to Web Services" but they weren't a big help. Activating EWS didn't work because even though the printer showed its IP address to be 192.168.1.3, when I entered this in my web browser it didn't find the printers configuration page.
    I tried the following steps from one of the threads:
    1. Restore the Network defaults
    2. Unplug the printers power cord while it is still on. Leave it unplugged and walk to the router.
    3. While the router is still on, unplug the power cord from the router, leave it unplugged for 30 seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the router. Once plugged back in the router should power on automatically.
    4. Plug the power cord back into the printer. Once plugged back in the printer should power on automatically.
    5. Run the Wireless Setup Wizard to reconnect the printer to your wireless network.
    6. Try enabling Web Services.
    I followed these steps exactly. Interestingly, even though I had done step 1 and restored the network settings to factory defaults, after turning back on, the printer somehow still had its old settings saved and reconnected to the network.
    It seemed to have fixed the problem, the printer finally had internet access again (Facebook app showed my photos) and scan to computer found my PC. But after just about 3 minutes, the printer had lost its internet connectivity again. When opening the Facebook app, it displayed the same error message it did before. And printing no longer worked as well.
    So, what is wrong with this printer?! It has the newest software update by the way (I checked during the 3 minutes it had internet access.) My computer is a HP Windows 7 x64 machine (EliteBook 6930p) and the router I'm using is a Netgear WNDR3700.
    I specifically bought this printer for my studies at university. In one week i have my exams and in order to study I REALLY need to be able to print some of my course materials! So any help as quickly as possible would be greatly appreciated. Or do you think this is a case for a warranty replacement, considering the printer's really strange and error-prone behavior?
    Thanks a lot!

    I can assure you that it is not a router issue.  It appears to me that it is a driver compatibility with Windows OS.  After trying to get to the bottom of this since my Photosmart 7525 was new and reading just about every forum and blog, I have come to the conclusion that the issue must be related to the HP driver itself.
    The issue does not seem to affect any Mac systems, and from one forum someone was able to fix it by downloading new drivers compatible with 64-bit systems (which seem to not be affected by the glitch).  But that leaves us 32-bit people stuck with the current driver which does not work.
    The printer is connected with good signal to the wireless router (no matter who's router it is and what configuration is made).  The printer can be pinged from the router and any computer on the network which is not currently being affected by this issue.  However, the affected computer fails pings by either request timed out, or destination host unreachable.  Pings are successful from the affected computer to any other device on the network.  The only way to recover (at least for a few days) is to reboot the affected computer.
    Also, from the display on the 7525, the network tests pass without issue.  I can also download and print content from the internet with no issues.
    Please do a quick google search of this issue and you will see several THOUSAND entries of people with the same request.  This is a serious issue that people are having and everything is pointing to an HP problem (not routers, improper installation of software or drivers, etc...).  I agree with several other customers that HP should be on the hook for this fix.  I will give it another couple weeks, then back to the store for a reliable unit from another competitor (Canon, Lexmark, etc..)
    Thank you in advance for escalating this issue to product engineering,
    S. Hunn

  • Connection doctor and connection issues

    I have nothing blocking  my internet connection, however mail is a nightmare for me. I continually receive connection issues via the connection doctor for imaps, pops, and icloud.
    Are my settings wrong? I have checked with each of the settings and they are set per instructions provided. Some are google, some yahoo, icloud, etc.
    This is really annoying and I could really use some help.
    Here is a typical message: Could not connect to this Google IMAP server. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the Account preferences. Also verify that the server supports SSL. If it does not, deselect the 'Use SSL" checkbox in the Advanced tab of Account Preference"
    I have done all of this and am still having troubles.
    I am also receiving SMTP connection issues - "Trying to log into this SMTP account failed. Verufy that the username and password are correct."
    I have checked and all are correct. Even more confusing, these issues are not present all the time - however I have not changed anything between when times are good and bad.
    Sigh - I hope someone has an idea to help me out.
    Thanks in advance for your time and thoughts.

  • Excel ODBC Connection Issues

    I'm having some issues importing external data from an Oracle 9i database.
    Here is what is happening:
    I am initially able to import data from the table I want to into Excel.
    I do this through "Data -> Import External Data -> New Database Query" where I have my .ORA data source. I'm able to log in using my user and password and import the table. My problems come after I import this first set of data.
    If I try to "Edit Query…" I get an error box that says "[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed".
    If I try to "Refresh Data" I get two error boxes. The first is just: "[Microsoft][ODBC driver for Oracle][Oracle]" and the next says: "[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed". It then prompts me for the User name and password of the DB I'm connecting and after I enter the information, I get the same two error messages.
    Also, if I attempt to establish another connection following the "Data -> Import External Data…" steps I run into a different problem. Upon entering the information for the User Name and password prompt I get two error messages. One says "!" and the next box says "Couldn't read this file". Once I click "OK" in those boxes, the Microsoft Query window automatically opens with nothing in it.
    I can't seem to figure out why I can initially pull down data and then cannot succeed afterwards. I'm unable to connect to the DB I have through Excel until I completely closed all Microsoft Excel instances.
    I also use this data source in Microsoft Access without any problems.
    My Excel version is 2003.
    I'm using Oracle Drivers I'm using are from an "Instant Client" package.
    Any thoughts why I'm having these connections issues?
    Thanks in advance.

    This issue is closed.
    The solution was:
    "Data -> Import External Data -> Import Data"
    Select "New Source" and select the "Oracle" data source and filled in the appropriate information. This was similar to the database query but it actually works.
