APEX PAssword problem is still available in version 4.0.2.00.07

Hi devs,
we got the published APEX Bug: 1275828.1 (Problem : User Cannot Change Password in APEX 4.0 - Invalid Password) in version 4.0.2.00.06
After we updated to the current APEX version 4.0.2.00.07 we got another strange behavior in coherence with the password issue.
The installation went well and we followed each step in the guide.
We changed the following settings in the APEX ADMIN enviroment back:
Home > Manage Instance > Security > Account Login Control > Require User Account Expiration and Locking > Yes
Home > Manage Workspaces > Workspace Details > Edit Workspace Information > Account Expiration and Locking > Enabled
When we try to login with the requirement to change the password on the next login. Nothing happens! Means after click on login, page 101 becomes loaded again. No error No nothing!
In version 4.0.2.00.06 the page to change the password occured with the wrong behavior inside.
Hope you could help us find the problem and solve it.

Problem is still present.
Is there any know issue in version 4.0.2.00.07 which is similar to our problem? Otherwise we open a metalink call.

First, are you positive it is really not there? Have you looked in your iTunes folder in your Music folder, and in the media folders there? Do you see your media files?
If your media are gone it is a lot easier to restore from a proper computer backup. Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

1. iTunes won't offer cloud downloads for songs that it "thinks" are in your library, even if it "knows" the files are missing. If you've exhaustively searched for the missing files and there is no prospect of repair by restoring to them to their original locations, or connecting to new ones, then delete that tracks that display both the missing exclamation mark and are of media kind Purchased/Protected AAC audio file. Don't hide from iTunes in the cloud when asked, close iTunes, then reopen. You can download from the cloud links or iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer > All songs > Download all.

There is a hint that using the feature to downsample media as it is synced to a device may also be involved, though I've not replicated it. Whatever the reason a backup would protect your media.

There will be no updates for older versions.
So your choices:
Upgrade to Lightroom 5, or
Download the free Adobe DNG converter, convert all Raw files from the RX100 III to DNG format then edit the DNGs in Lightroom 4.4

Boot into Recovery. OS X: About OS X Recovery - Apple Support
Select Terminal from the Utilities menu.
At the prompt type,
resetpassword
Hit return.
Follow the prompts in the utility to select hard drive, then user.
Reset the password.
Exit the utility and restart.
You will need to log in with your new password, but your keychain will not be reset.
I’m not sure what access you’ll have to the old keychain since it didn’t have a password. You may be able to get into the keychain and reset the password to match your login password.

Is Version 2 Still Available?

I am currently using Adobe Captivate Version 1 and now see
that version 3 is available.
My question is whether version 2 is still available for

Yes, normally once Adobe makes a new version available, the
last version is no longer available for upgrade or purchase. So to
the best of my knowledge, 3 is what they have presently and that's
all you will be able to find.
Just as an FYI, here are the features that I can think of
that 2 brought to the plate:
In no particular order...
* Zoom Areas
* A "color picker" tool (eyedropper) for selecting colors
* Changes to text caption dialogs (ability to apply bullets,
numbering, insert symbols, background color, etc.)
* Skins and Closed Captioning
* Enhanced navigation by choosing an action to occur when
slides end
* A new tab in the main application that shows Branching
* A new toolbar called the "Stage" toolbar. Sits between the
Timeline and Edit area
* A new panel called the "Library" that lists assets such as

I solved that particular problem for myself (although I am running iTunes 11 under Snow Leopard on an iMac) by deselecting one of my Users Admin. privs. You see, I had two users w/admin privs & iTunes now plays nicely when there is only one admin.
Otherwise, I would keep getting stuck in an "infinite loop" of resetting passwords over & over and still iTunes was a mess - albeit on an intermittent basis which was absolutely driving me nuts!
I also think that firing up Safari and signing into my account @ apple first seems to help; providing that an apple cookie gets placed in my machine before I go to the iTunes store and enjoy surfing around there.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

IChat Password Problems

Hello,
I'm trying to help my father-in-law set up his iChat account, but keep running into a password brickwall.
First we went into the iChat Prefs to verify the username. That was fine.
We also checked the Key Chain Access to verify the password and it matched up with what it should be.
The password is less than 16 letters and we've tried all lowercase and case-sensitive versions of the password all to no avail.
What else can we try?

I have a possible solution...It worked for me but cannot say 100% it will work for everyone.
When in iChat, I followed the instructions to create an iChat account, which created me an account called [email protected]
I then went to create an account in my iChat, selecting .mac as the account type option...then put in my password, which was promptly rejected, as is the case with many other users.
I overcame this problem by changing the account type from '.Mac' to 'AIM', put '[email protected]' as your screenname, the same apple password in the password text box, the click 'Done'.
Again, this has worked for me on 2 different apple computers (macbook pro 10.4.11 running iChat 3.1.9 and iMac 10.5.4 running iChat 4.0.5) with two different accounts, and in both cases my contacts/buddies were still correct, but I cannot say 100% whether it will work for you.
One small issue - if you manage to get onto your iChat account, it might pop-up saying your .mac password is incorrect.......you will still be able to use video calling. I made iChat automatically login on opening, closed down iChat, reopened it, and everything worked, and I did not get a box appearing saying the .mac password was wrong.

Ugh. The 'no password, no work' thing is a recent Apple development. I ran into it on my system and ended up having to do a clean install on a partition I fully erased.
I suppose, if you have the ability to, go online and look up how to burn a bootable DVD image. Download the 10.8.4 image then use the Disk Utility to make a boot image of it. You'll need a dual-layer DVD or a USB drive (or memory stick at least 8GB) If you've got an optical drive, burn the disk, if you've a USB device, use that.
Then get a pocket drive and copy your important files off the system or let Time Machine do a full backup.
When the backup is done, insert the disk and hold down the C key until the machine boots off of the DVD. At the point you get to the start window, go to the menu and choose the Disk Utility.
In the Disk Utility, reformat the drive. You go to the actual DRIVE (not the Macintosh HD, but the root above it that is the actual hard drive device)
I always do this and *partition* it into several volumes, the benefit being, you can store all of your music, documents and importans stuff on that secondary storage volume you make - it will have it's own index and then the first volume is where you put the OS and it will have it's own index as well. That way, if the OS throws a wobbler and you need to reinstall, you don't lose your data.
Depending on the size of your hard drive, it is good to give your OS partition at least 60GB and optimally 100GB, and the rest for storage.
Name your volumes, use the little box sliders to manually size them or put that number in the size window, select for the format, Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and hit Apply and then the Disk Utility will quickly create your new partitions.
Once finished, quit the Utility and it will return you to the OS installer. Select the volume you want to install to and it should start up and install.
Once the installation is done, you'll get the new machine startup then you MUST put in a password for the computer. Once you're in, and to the desktop, don't bother with any Mountain Lion updates, go right to the App Store and get the Mavericks update and let it install the app to your Applicaitons folder, then do that install.
On a side note, there MAY be a way to make a disk image from the Mavericks application and avoid the entire Mountain Lion step.. I honestly do not know, but a bit of hitting the search engines may find out if there is. I think that if you looked for "make Mavericks boot disk or boot image' you may find something.
