Apli Mailing labels

¿How do I print Apli Mailing labels from the Address book?. The system only refers to Avery labels.

Hello eeeii7734.
Specialized word processing software would be needed in order to format your labels for printing.  For example, Microsoft Word has a 'labels' option that will allow you to format a document for labels.  Label makers such as Avery also provide information on what programs or templates to use with their own labels.

  • HP LaserJet P1006 - Won't print mailing labels

I just got a new computer at work and it won't print my mailing labels.  If I create a word document and print, it will print on the label paper, but if the document is a label template, I keep getting a pop-up telling me to insert the correct paper and hit "go". On my old computer I would get this warning, but when I hit "go" it would proceed to print.  Now, the printer blinks red (like the job is pending), and then the pop-up comes up again telling me to insert the correct paper again. I have attempted to change the settings in Properties to automatically expect label paper, but I keep getting the same warnings.  Please help! I need to resolve this issue because my coworkers will eventually have this same problem as they have all gotten new computers too.
    Thanks!

    Hi there!
Thanks for your reply with all of your troubleshooting efforts!
I  have looked into the mailing label printing some more and I would suggest posting the issue on the Avery Help Center to see if they can provide a better answer. We've determined the printer will still print, so I do believe the problem is within printing the mailing labels.

  • Where do I find the Style pop-up menu so I can choose mailing labels?

I've set out below the Help item for printing mailing labels from Address Book but I don't get any Style option with my printer which is a reasonably up to date HP 1200 Laser. Have I got the settings wrong somewhere
    To print mailing labels:
Select All or a group in the Group column, or select specific contacts in the Name column.
If contacts in the group you selected have multiple addresses, you can choose which address to use for each contact.
    Selecting addresses for group members
    Choose File > Print.
Choose Mailing Labels from the Style pop-up menu, and then set other options:
Layout: Choose a type of label from the Page pop-up menus. Select Define Custom to set the page margins and the gutter space between labels, and to specify how many labels to print on a page.
Label: Choose which addresses to use from the Addresses pop-up menu. Choose the order in which to print the labels using the “Print in” pop-up menu. Add a small graphic to the labels by clicking the Image Set button; change the font by clicking the Font Set button.
    Click Print.

Assuming you are in Address Book, you choose the records you want to print and then the File/Print menu selection.
If the printer menu comes up with only the name of the printer and "Presets" dropdown choices, you click on the arrow to the right of the printer name to expand the print menu. Make sure the box below the pages to print is showing "Address Book" and you will see the "Style" below it.

  • Exporting a mailing label report to PDF shifts the address off ...

    Hi.
The report is created using the wizard "File->New->Mailing Label Report". Everything looks good at the preview. Following are the dimensions:
    - 4 X 1 inches
    - 2 labels across, 10 down
    - Paper would be 8-1/2 X 11 inches (Letter sized) (labeled) paper
    - 0.5 inches page margin on top and bottom
    - 0.156 inches left & right margins
    - Horizontally .188 inches between labels
    - Vertically NO space between labels
For this, in the Crystal Reports Designer, I used Mailing Label Type = "Address (Avery 5261)".
    Issue
However, when trying to export the report to PDF and when we print the report, addresses go off the labels (shifts up slightly starting from the begining). It looks like the font sizes, etc are not maintained. Therefore, visually, addresses shifts up gradually and does not fall into labels.
    Other specific details
The first address was too low, I mean after .5 inches top margin, this first address started to appear .4 inches down the margin. If we measure from top of one address to the top of next one, it is about .9 inch and not 1 inch.
Later I tried this [template|http://www.worldlabel.com/Pages/crystal-reports.htm] as well. I faced the same issue.
Had anyone worked with mailing labels report faced similar issue?
    I appreciate your help

  • What program do I use to make mailing labels?

I can no longer use Apple works for my mailing list.  What program should I get to make mailing labels, and how can I convert my old .cws databases to create mailing labels?
    Extremely frustrated with OpenOffice!!!

I could not convert the database file from Appleworks, but I did get LibreOffice which is a free program, and it does open the old Appleworks files, and will convert them to .csv which can then be imported into "Contacts".  (create your new group in Contacts first, and import it into that)  LibreOffice might be able to convert into mailing labels, but I sure couldn't figure it out.  So I had to pull the .csv file into "Contacts".  Then from the print window, I can choose the options to print labels and it works.

  • How to access custom mailing label templates

    Hello,
I am using Microsoft Word 2010 on a PC and trying to create a custom label modeled after the Avery 5392 Label using the Mailing Label wizard. Can you tell me where these templates are saved? I need to add some color to the bottom of the template.
Thanks in adance for your response.
    -Greg

    Hi Greg,
You don't need an Avery template to create a merge using the Avery 5392 format. 5392 is included in the built-in labels set. However whether you start from a downloaded template or the built in template, the principle
    is similar to these reference:

  • TRYING to format for mailing labels.

Hello all, I'm having a problem I'm hoping you could possibly help me figure out. I bought labels from office max today with the intent of formatting my word processor (in this case pages) so that I can just type up the names and addresses and print them out on the label sheet. well stupid, naive little me figured there'd be instructions on how to format your word processor so that the labels printed out correctly... and there wasn't. so i've been trying to figure out a way on my own to format the page correctly, but I can't seem to get anything to work right. I tried creating a table, but the actual page of labels has a space in between each column of labels, where as the table does not, which would ultimately off-set the second and third column of the labels.
I know it has been suggested numerous amount of times (believe it or not I actually tried to research this question before posting) that anyone attempting to create mailing labels just use the address book application... but the reason I CAN'T do that is because I don't actually have a printer that is compatible with my mac right now. I need to type up the mailing labels and then e-mail them to a PC in order to get them printed out, therefore rendering the address book method useless to me.
If anyone has ANY suggestions of what I can do (that doesn't involve me immediately purchasing a new printer... ), I would greatly appreciate it.
I hope this thread made SOME kind of sense... if not, i'd be more than happy to clarify anything you are confused about.
    Thank you!

There are several ways you can go about this.
    1. Most labels come with Word templates or downloadable Word templates. Simply open those in Pages.
    2. Make a table with extra cells for the thin spaces between the labels and skinny those down to match the spaces. ie You have big fat cells for the actually labels and thin narrow empty ones for the gaps.
    3. Make a floating Text box the size of one label, format with dummy text just the way you like it.
    +Menu > Format > Advanced > Define as Placeholder text+
You can now drag and drop snippets of text, the addresses etc onto those and it will replace them matching the style of the existing text.
You duplicate that text box into position of the other labels by clicking on it with the command kety held down, then drag copy it up or across with the option and shift keys held down. Fine tune the positions with:
    +Inspector > Metrics > Position+

  • Printing Mailing Labels from Address Book

Stupid question, but one that is driving me crazy.
How do you print a sheet of mailing labels from Address Book but when the entire sheet of labels is the SAME label?
I can print labels successfully in address book, can select the label type and number, etc.
However, when I select a single contact, I can't find a way to print up an entire sheet of labels (e.g. 14) of all the same contact - it only prints one label of the single contact.
Please help! I know it must be a simple fix but can't find it anywhere to select as an option.

OK, weird that this morning (one day after you posted this question) I had the same question. I just want to print some return address labels for my own company. While I haven't been able to find a software based way to do it, I did think up a workable (if a bit ridiculous) hack. Copy the address you want to fill the sheet of labels with however many times there are labels on the sheet and select those however many copies and click print! I created 30 copies of my own company's address in Address Book, selected them, and printed a sheet of labels without problem. A bit dumb, but it works!
    Hope that helps.

  • 500 Mailing labels of 1 record. How to achieve this in indesign?

    Hello,
How would you create 500 mailing labels of 1 record in indesign? Im new to indesign and would be interested to learn.
    Many thanks in advance

All labels the same? For that I wouldn't even bother with Data Merge. Set up one label (do it in a file sized to hold one label so you onlyu have one to make), then place that page in a new doc set up for a sheet of labels. Step and repeat to fill the sheet. Print as many copies as you need to get 500 labels.

  • Change field used for Mailing Labels

Hi. I am a new Mac user and I need help with mailing labels. When I print my labels, I want to use a custom field - Label Name - as the first line on the label, rather than the name of the contact. Is there a way to do this? For example, I might have a contact name of Joe Johnson, but I will have The Johnsons as his Label Name for sending holiday cards, etc. I don't want to change all my contact names to these appropriate label names. Is there a way to configure the mailing label to print the custom field rather than the first and last name? Thanks for your help.

I have this same complaint. Prior to Snow Leopard, there was a feature in Address Book that automatically combined the name on an address book entry with a related name (spouse). I used that feature and adjusted my Address Book so that it worked for me. Unfortunately Apple deleted the feature in Snow Leopard without giving a reason or a tenable workaround. See kb article #HT3952 for details.
I imagine the feature was deleted because it was somewhat surprising and confusing. Still it WAS a feature and there IS NO WORKAROUND. I investigated writing an AppleScript, but decided it probably couldn't be done. I ended up printed labels this year using a kludgey mail merge with Microsoft Word. A lot of work and still not fully satisfactory.
Apple, please add a feature to replace the old method!

  • Using addresses, can you print duplicate mailing labels for the same address

using my address book, can I print duplicate mailing labels for the same name and address.

I checked the Address Book Print Dialog and I did not see the option to duplicate a single label.
The only thing you could try is to select the name in your list. Then do Command-P to print which should get you to this dialog box:
Try changing the # of copies and see if that does what you want. Otherwise I'm not sure and your answer may best be found in the Address Book forum on here.
You may not want to incue the expense but Microsoft Word will do what you want.

  • Creating Mailing Labels with Merge in Pages

I am trying to create mailing labels and print to AVERY templates. I cannot find a way to do this, since I have not found any support in the AVERY templates for Pages. It seems to work if you try to merge the entire Address Book with the AVERY software templates, but I only want to merge with one group from the Address Book. Any advice?

Print directly from *Address Book,* select a Group then:

  • Creating Mailing Labels

How do I send out my Holiday Cards when my address book is full of individuals and I want to send out cards with mailing labels to "Mr & Mrs XXX" or to "The XXXXX Family"?  Any tips on address book name formatting for mailings would be appreciated.
I am working with Mac OS X Version 10.5.8

Hi Mark, see if this helps...
    Mac OS X v10.4 through v10.5.8
Related names will not appear on the envelope or label in Mac OS X 10.4 through 10.5.8 if another card exists with the same first name as the related name and a different address than the card you are printing. To ensure that the related name will get printed, create a card with the same name as the related name, and include the same address as the card you are printing.
For example, if you want to print a label for the card "Anne Johnson" which includes her spouse's name "Juan Johnson", but you have a second card in your address book for "Juan Johnson" with a different address, Juan's name will not appear on the label for Anne Johnson. You can create a card for "Juan Johnson" which has the same address as "Anne Johnson" and then Anne's mailing label will include Juan's name.

  • Having a print problem on a mailing label report using the merge modules.

    Crystal Reports 2008 v 12.1.6.1116
when I print directly from Crystal Reports designer, the labels print correctly.  If I print the report from our application software using the Crystal merge module, the top of page margin is not the same.
I am using Crystal Report 2008 Fix Pack 1.5 Merge Modules.
Any idea what might be causing this ?  I do not see any settings in the CrystalReportViewer that would cause the top of page margin to change.
Note: We were using a previous version of Crystal Reports, version 11 using the merge modules and it worked just fine. After changing to the 2008 merge modules we are running into this problem.

Which Version of VS.NET you are using?
           VS 2008 v 9.0.30729.1 SP
. Which application you are developing desktop or web?
           Desktop
. Error messages you are facing?
No error message, just the top of page margin is wrong
. Are you facing this error in development machine?
The mailing label report works just fine printing directly from the Crystal Reports 2008 Design application.  However is I try to print the exact same report using the CrystalReportViewer in the merge module, the top of page margin is different.  Basically printing from the designer, there is some spacing at the top of the page, printing in the vb.net app the spacing at the time of is missing.
. Are you trying to deploy this application?
           Yes
    . Operating System?
The OS I have tried this on is XP Pro SP3 and also Vista Business SP1
. How are you deploying your application?
We build a installshield setup to install the merge modules
