APP-FND-01541 Warning Message

We would like to change the warning message: "APP-FND-01541: This
employee is already assigned to user xxxx " to become an error message
instead, so that a user cannot link an employee to more than one Oracle user
record.
I am looking at messages found under Application Administrator
responsibility, and the Error Type
and Log Severity is set to Error,
but this message still pops up as a warning when you link an employee record
that has already been linked to a user record.
Any advice on how to change this to actual Error message so it stops the
user from continuing with the link.

Response from the SR:
On the "Person" block, the trigger is "WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM". It calls fnd_person_fields.duplicate_employee_warn.
And the code of this procedure is "fnd_message.set_name ('FND', 'SECURITY_DUP_EMPLOYEE_WARN');".
It just prints the warning message on screen.
So there is no standard method to prevent the employee to be linked with two users because it is hard coded.
And according to BUG 2638068, development will not modify the form to prevent to link multiple users to one person on form FNDSCAUS.
It will just show the warn message.

  • ITunes deleted apps - still a warning message keeps appearing:  'iTunes has found purchased items on the iPhone..."

    Hi
I'm trying to delete apps in iTunes Library and from the iPhone.
    1.  Goto Library > Apps then I deleted the apps I dont use.
    2.  Goto the iPhone, select Apps then deleted apps from there that I'm no longer using.
    3.  Click Sync.  Then I get the following warning:
iTunes has found purchased items on the iPhone “4S 16GB iPhone” that are not present in your iTunes library. Do you want to transfer these items from this iPhone back to your iTunes library? If you do not transfer these purchased items to your iTunes library, they will be removed from the iPhone.
    4.  I clicked 'Dont Transfer'.  This is fine as I dont want the apps on the iPhone anymore.
    5.  I ejected the iPhone.
    6.  Later, I reconnect the iPhone again to iTunes.   The warning appears again:
iTunes has found purchased items on the iPhone “4S 16GB iPhone” that are not present in your iTunes library. Do you want to transfer these items from this iPhone back to your iTunes library? If you do not transfer these purchased items to your iTunes library, they will be removed from the iPhone.
    7.  Clicked 'Dont Transfer'.
    8.  Then I tried 'Transfer'. This transfered "something" .. I dont know what transferred as I had deleted a few apps.
Why does this warning keep appearing everytime I reconnect?  I'm not sure what it means or what it's meant to do.
Please can you advise me?  I dont know what I'm doing wrong.

Don't transfer, right click the device in iTunes and select Back Up.
Though, the iTunes interface is designed to be computer - phone and not the other way around, you may need to use something else to preserve your data.

This could have something to do with the fact that your printer is not set up correctly. Can you run a plain text (OReports) file output to the same printer? If not, then the printer is not set up in FND correctly. If you can ...
Remeber that unless you have a more modern printer that can handle PDF documents natively then XMLPs PDF is going to need to be converted to PS or PCL. I would suggest you investigate the PASTA printer driver and get that set up. It provides the ability to call a program pdf2ps for instance, to convert the PDF to PS. There is a bunch of info on metalink

I understand what needs to be done but not sure of the exact way to do it.
    Thanks,

You don't need to modify the dotnetconfig.xsd.  All you need to do is generate an XSD for your section and let VS know where it is at.
    1) Create your XSD using any of the various tools available or by hand.
    2) Copy your XSD into the <VSDir>\Xml\Schemas directory.
    3) Create a catalog file for your schema.
    4) Restart VS and it'll load the XSD and give you Intellisense.
Here's the MSDN documentation for it: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms255821.aspx

  • Oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: Application: FND, Message Name: FND

    Hi Friends,
For the first time developed a OAF Page and deployed in Apps Instance .
    I followed following steps
    Development Steps:
    1. Created a New OA Component Page @ Default Package oracle.apps.ak.BGHello.webui
Physcial Location at my PC C:\BG\JDeveloper\JDev_Home11i\myprojects\oracle\apps\ak\BGHello\webui\BGHelloworld.xml
    2. A Controller is attached Main Region of the above Page ie. BGHelloWorldMainCO.java (Same as that of Document Guide HelloWorld Example)
    3. Build the Project and Run the Page
It Runs Successfull Without any Error
    Deployment
    1. Migrated BGHelloworldPG.xml to $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/BGHello\webui\BGHelloworld.xml Via WINSCP in Text/ASCII Transfer Type
    2. Migrated BGHelloWorldCO.class (From Myclass directory) to $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/BGHello\webui\BGHelloWorldCO.class Via WINSCP in Binary Transfer Type
3.Imported Page and Its Components via import batch from windows command prompt (i.e C:\BG\JDeveloper\11iRUP6\jdevbin\jdev\bin)
import C:\BG\JDeveloper\JDev_Home11i\myprojects\oracle\apps\ak\BGHello\webui\BGHelloworldPG.xml -username apps -password apps -rootdir C:\BG\JDeveloper\JDev_Home11i\myprojects\ -dbconnection "(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=172.16.1.33)(PORT=1536))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=TEST)))" -rootPackage /d03/oracle/prodcomn/java/oracle/apps/ak/BGHello/webui
    Above completed without Error.
and JDR_% tables are updated with Page Components
    4. Created a AOL Function BG_TOOLBOX_HELLO and Attached to OA Toolbox Menu "OA Framework ToolBox HelloWorld"
    Type: SSWA jsp function
    HTML Call: OA.jsp?page=/oracle/apps/ak/BGHello/webui/BGHelloWorldPG

Seems an issue with your import command
import C:\BG\JDeveloper\JDev_Home11i\myprojects\oracle\apps\ak\BGHello\webui\BGHelloworldPG.xml -username apps -password apps -rootdir C:\BG\JDeveloper\JDev_Home11i\myprojects\ -dbconnection "(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=172.16.1.33)(PORT=1536))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=TEST)))" -rootPackage /d03/oracle/prodcomn/java/oracle/apps/ak/BGHello/webuiIn the rootPackage there is no need to give /d03/oracle/prodcomn/java .As it will automatically take the $JAVA_TOP.Try this
import C:\BG\JDeveloper\JDev_Home11i\myprojects\oracle\apps\ak\BGHello\webui\BGHelloworldPG.xml -username apps -password apps -rootdir C:\BG\JDeveloper\JDev_Home11i\myprojects\ -dbconnection "(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=172.16.1.33)(PORT=1536))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=TEST)))" -rootPackage /oracle/apps/ak/BGHello/webuiHope it helps!!!

    Hi
1.) check that this responsibility is assigned to the user, which u mentioned in the user name.
2.) or go to run option of Jdeveloper and terminate the Embedded oc4j server and start running the page again and test .
    thanx

I just bought aperture and downloaded it from app store. when I try to open the app I get a warning message that says: There was an error opening the database for the library “~/Pictures/Aperture Library.aplibrary”. The only option the is to quit. What is wrong?

    Hi,
not sure what the problem might be, but you can try the following:
While pressing ALT+CMD on the keyboard, click on the Aperture icon in the dock: Aperture then opens in a special "recovery mode", and you're prompted to choose what kind of repair you need: Repair Permissions / Repair Database / Rebuild Database
Considering the situation, I'd recommend you to try "the "Repair Permissions" option first.
If that isn't enough (and it may well be the case), then go straight for the "Rebuild Database" option; it's a non-destructive opration anyway, but since you've just installed Aperture you shouldn't have anything valuable in the default library...
NOTE: if you do have some pictures in the library, instead, do a backup first! Time Machine is your friend
Another option would be to launch Aperture while keeping only the ALT (option) key pressed: Aperture will ask you what library you want to open, or you can choose to create a new one from scratch.
    Good luck!

    Hi,
You can ignore similar warning messages -- See (Oracle Applications DBA Minipack R12.AD.A [ID 401424.1]) for details. However, I would suggest you log a SR to confirm this with Oracle support.
    Thanks,
    Hussein
