App store is GONE!

My iTunes all of a sudden will not show the app store. The bar at the top that shows the Home buttone and has Music, movies, apps etc is gone and the iTunes store is just a dumbed down version that mostly will not open any links. Did the iTunes url change or somehting? The only reason I can think of is I'm trying to use it from my work computer and they have a proxy server that restricts us to ALLOWED web sites. Sure I shouldn't be on the app store but it always has worked before and the tech guy at my work said he hasn't changed anything to make it blocked. I don't know if this is worded the best but if someone can understand what I'm getting at and can help please do!!

PS: it is my work PC running Windows, my iMac at home will find this no problem.

One possibility: go to the bottom of the iTunes Store main page and look for the small round flag icon at the lower-right corner of the page. Make sure it's still set for the US. If not, click on that icon and select the US as your country.

    The issue is that your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.

  • Since IOS8 update App Store Icon gone

    Since upgrading to IOS8 (including the new fix that I got this morning), the App Store Icon is gone as is my ITunes Icon.
    I have a music icon.  Is this a problem of IOS8 or does it have something to do with Family Sharing or iCloud?

    not sure if this is the place to post this, since it's an app that comes with the phone, but my App Store Icon is gone, I don't see that I dragged it into any folders or anything (had that happen with another app) and I don't see it on my Mac Laptop in Itunes (I rarely go into this, kind of underusing my Iphone for sure).
    How do I find/restore my App Store Icon?

    Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. See if you see it now.

    I upgraded from iphone 4 to 4S. it was working one evening and asked me to upgrade operating system. After it dounloaded and installed, I don't have my camera, or the app store, and some other apps are missing. wanted to synk with itunes, it asked me to upgrade itunes to latest version, it is not installing anything, but says thank you for dounloading latest itunes.....
    Frustrated. help please?

  • App store icon gone missing/Web Content Filter - Apple Configurator

    I am using Apple Configurator to manage the iPads at my school. I changed the settings on my school's profile, within Apple Configurator, so that the App store was not available. The App store icon disappeared and all was good. I decided to change the settings back, to allow the App store, saved the settings and refreshed a group of iPads. The App store icon is still missing and it doesn't appear that my new settings have been applied. I quit Configurator and tried again, but no success. I am running Configurator 1.5 and the ipads are running iOS 7.1.
    Also, I have unchecked the "Allow use of You Tube" button because I want You Tube disabled, but Configurator still allows the use of You Tube through Safari. Is there any way to disable the use of You Tube without using the ridiculous "Web Content Filter", that when activated, limits adult content (good), which seems to include a lot of valuable educational sites (bad)? To me the only other option available seems to be to tick "Specific Websites Only" and spend the next year typing in all the possible sites that might have educational merit, ergo, my use of the word 'ridiculous'. Is there something I am missing?

  • App Store icon gone- Won't sync apps

    Moved a few icons around; replaced Mobile Safari on the dock with OmniFocus. Now the App Store icon in nowhere on the iPhone. And the Applications tab/page in iTunes is greyed out. Can't sync or update any apps.
    Did a full restore. Briefly saw functionality but the restore of data caused the same problem.
    Anyone else?

    It's possible when you moved the icons around it slipped onto a new page

  • Safari an App Store have GONE AWOL  ?

    Hi over the last two months I have used up far more of my Mobile Data than I use normally, for two months running I am fast running out of Data with 2 weeks left, I get 500mb allowance and I am not a heavy user.
    Tonight I panicked and switched off a lot of DATA using settings in Settings.
    But now I find I havent got SAFARI or the APP STORE anymore, which are two items that cannot normally be removed from the Menu, there might be more items missing as well, but I can't think what they might be.
    Does anybody know please what I have done ? and how can I get Safari etc. back again  PLEASE

    Swipe down on the home screen and type in a search for each app. If the apps somehow ended up in a folder, it will indicate which one.
    Check any alternate home screens by swiping left-right
    Settings app > General > Restrictions to see if Restrictions are on, and if Safari and the App Store are turned off.
    Settings App > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout
    Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
    And for the record, 500 MB isn't much data at all if you consider video and other streaming sources, or any significant file download.

    Go to Settings>General>Restrictions and see if the Restrictions that hide those are set.
    - Have you tried using the Spotlight search? Maybe you just can't find them

    Try swiping down from the top of the home page so you get the search field at the top and the keyboard...type App Store and see if it brings it up for you.
    An alternate approach is Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout to bring it back to the home screen.
