From your mixed mash of incomplete symptom description, I cannot tell for sure what is going on in your circumstance. The AW icon is gone? Or, you launch AW and something strange happens? I cannot tell. So, please post again with a precise description of exactly what is going on, the steps you take, the results of each step, and the exact and complete error message that presents. Lacking the precise specifics, we can only guess, which won't really help you that much I fear.

in addition to John's hint you should have a look there to "correct answer" in https://forums.adobe.com/message/5441322#5441322 "Creative Cloud client will not download". There Sumit Singh talks about "I am suspecting the AAM URI handler is not working." and gives stepwise advices.

You are running a very old version of FCE (v 1.0.1) on Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6.8) under Rosetta on an Intel Mac (Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.4 GHz) with QuickTime X. This is not a great combination. FCE v1 was released in 2003 and was designed to run on a G4 (PPC) Mac under Mac OS X 10.2 or 10.3 with QuickTime 6.5.
Did you recently install this copy of FCE on your MacBookPro? Did FCE ever run on this MacBookPro?

My App World - can you clear 'uninstalled apps'?

I have a load of uninstalled apps listed in My World on my phone.
I got rid of them as I didn't want them, but they are still there - how do I get rid of them properly? So they aren't even listed.
I've heard how you do it on the Storm, but that device is very different.
How do you do it on the Curve 8520?

I can't answer any "why" questions. Things are what they are. Under older versions of AppWorld, it would actually clear. But the current versions (as I stated) maintain the record forever. Further, the record is technically on the AppWorld servers, reflected in the on-device MyWorld. What you should and shouldn't be able to do is a function of what the capabilities are...and they are what they are. What you'd like to be able to do and not do, well that's a different matter. But we tend to focus here on how things are since there's pretty much nothing we can do, here on these forums, about what we'd like to be able to do.

Looking for a certain app. can you help...

I am going flying in a little cessna tomorrow. This will be my 2nd lesson. The instructor is happy for me to have my iphone on and it doesn't have to be in flight mode.
What this means is I can use the GPS to track the flight. I am looking for a particular app that will use the GPS and plot my track and allow me to place this over a google map or even google earth to show exactly where I have flown.
I have used a similar app for running (RunKeeper) and also another called iTrial but didn't like that one much.
Is there any you can recommend?

If you go to the iTunes App store and look in the Navigation category there are many apps related specifically to flying.
For what you specify, GPS Recorder might be the one to check out. I've not used it, though, so YMMV.

I purchased my first app from the iTunes Store. Needless to say it was not a good experience. I purchased home design by blue lotus and it does nothing. It blinks on for a moment then shuts down. The response I received from apple was all sales final but you can contact the vendor. Does anyone know how to do that?

Curious Problem with NYTimes App. Can You help?

I downloaded the NYTimes app (a newspaper reader) but I can't get it to sync any content (the newspaper articles). Called Apple, they said it's the app. Wrote to the NYTimes they said it was my ipod touch. So I bought a new ipod touch and right out of the box I have the same problem. The app downloads fine (says "never updated" in the task bar). I press the update (syncing button) and the little downloading wheel spins for a moment and then goes off with nothing downloaded.
Interesting the advertisements that appear at the bottom download fine. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Mine was the similar condition.
When I reset iPod nano by holding menu & select, it resets, is fine for about 20 seconds, then starts back to the screen of black and white state.
It keeps endless loop.
It happened on the way of iPod nano firmware update to 1.1.1. from 1.0.2.
Instead of completing firmware updated, the above symptom happend in my case.
I could exit the above condition by pressing both of SELECT &
PLAY button 5-10 seconds long.
It manually change DISK Mode.

What program did you use to fix the internal hard drive? What repairs did it report making? More crucially, if repairs were reported, did you re-run the utility until it reported no problems found? It's possible for one set of problems with a drive to mask others.
If you have about 5GB or so free space on the internal hard drive, you can use your OS X Install disc to perform an Archive and Install to recover from the failed Software Update. When the computer restarts, download and run the OS X Update Combo 10.4.11 (Universal). When the Mac restarts after that, run Software Update. During all this, make sure nothing interrupts or shuts down the Mac! Note that the first start after each of these updates will take significantly longer than subsequent starts, so be very patient.
How did you back up your internal drive to the external one? Did you just drag things over in the Finder, or did you use a utility such as SuperDuper! or CarbonCopyCloner? Does the external HD show up as a bootable volume in System Preferences > Startup Disk, or using Startup Manager?

You will need to connect it to the computer you sync with and Restore it as a new device then rebuild everything manually. If you restore from your backup it will restore the restrictions password.

I found an answer to this on another page (I was having the same problem) This worked for me:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
