Apparently can't authorize for iBooks

Hoping this is a transient problem, but just in case:
I have several purchased iBooks that I'm trying to read on my Mac (Mavericks).
I go to open a book from the iBooks Library window. I get an authorization dialog, and enter my info - then nothing happens.
If I try it again, I get the same thing, an authorization prompt. Same result.
The Store menu in iBooks shows both the "Authorize this computer" and "Deauthorize this computer" options available. Attempting authorize from here - same result.
I've checked id, rebooted, etc. The only interesting thing I can contribute is this error from the log:
12Dec13 11:36:05.927 AM iBooks[512]: [CKMachineAuthorization authorizeMachineWithAppleID:]; error="The server gave an error during download: 500 Internal Server Error."
Which makes me hope it's a transient error... anyone else see this?

Quit iTunes...
Download Cocktail and start the program... click on the 'interface' Icon and tick 'Show Invisible Items' then click the Restart button...
In a finder window click on the Icon that is your Boot Volume in the Side Bar ... select users ... select shared folder ... select the folder named 'SC info' and put it in the trash and empty it ... Do Not touch any other file.
Pathway looks like this HD > users > shared > SC info > SC Info.sidb
Go back to the Cocktail 'interface' window and untick Show Invisible Items and click restart .. quit Cocktail.
Start iTunes after deletinng this folder and it will prompt you to enter your authorization information again ... see now if your problem still exists...

I don't think it can be done. According to the link below 'Users who have authorization for the authorization object S_QUERY with both the values Change and Maintain, can access all queries of all user groups without being explicitly entered in each user group.'

Although I think you can add code to your infoset and maybe restrict according to authority group, i.e.:
Use AUTHORITY-CHECK to restrict access to the database based on user.

CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (3.3)
Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 933 MHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 256 KB
Memory: 384 MB (Upgraded to 1Gig)
Bus Speed: 133 MHz
Mac OSX 10.3.9.
The hard drive died. What type and manufacrure do I need. Is it a Serial, ATA or IDE? What sizes can I use 40G, 60G, 80G, or 100G?

but if your ibook was made before 2003 the limit for hard drives is 128GB any mac made before 2003 has this limit.

The limit is 5. Perhaps you've lost authorizations when restoring previous computers. You can deauthorize all, then authorize the computers that you want to use.

Problem: iTunes 6. Can't authorize for music store

Greetings,
I am having a problem with iTunes 6. It all installed fine and plays music i've loaded on from CD. But when i click on a purchased song it tells me it is not authorized and that i must authorize it.
I enter my user and password and it first tell me that the Authorization was successful. I click OK.
Then an error message comes up which reads: "We could not complete your Music Store request. An unknown error occurred (-208).
There was an error in the Music Store. Please try again later"
I click OK.
If I then try to play a purchased song, it immediately crashes iTunes. It just disappears.
When I open it again and i log into my Music Store account, it tells me that i do have this computer authorized. It's the only computer i have authorized right now because i recently reset all my authorizations.
So, it says it's authorized and i go to click on a purchased song and then i just repeat all the steps above. It doesn't work.
Does anyone have any insight into this problem or any steps of how i may be able to make this work?
The message does say it's a Music Store error and try again later. I've been trying off an on for about 3 or 4 days now.

You can restrict access to master records in order to prevent unauthorized changes from being made. Depending on how you organize your master data, you can assign authorizations for maintaining this data. For example, one user may have authorization to maintain all master data, while another may have authorization to maintain only accounting master data.
You can also assign different authorizations for different types of processing. All users could have authorization to display master records, while only a limited group of users may be able to create and change master data.
Authorizations are specified during system configuration and assigned to each user in his or her user master record. If you have any other questions on this subject, you should contact your system administrator. The Implementation Guide (IMG) for Financial Accounting explains how to set up authorizations.

Please use Additional Authorization Creator Window to restrict users from accessing User Tables.
Definition
Use this window to create and add a new permissions object for user-created forms.
To get here.. Admin.>System Init > Authorization > Additional Authorization Creator
In the Additional Authorization Creator window, enter an Authorization Id and Name, From the option dropdown Select the options you want.
To enter the FormID in your case 63771, Click Edit and enter the Form Number of the User defined table.
NOTE: To get the Form number open the user defined table and on the Status Bar at the bottom you can see the Form=xxxxx (number). Use this number. To view the form details on the status bar, please click View > System information on the Top Menu.
One you have entered the Form number click Update.
Now in the General Authorization Window you can see an additional entry on the right side window bottom called User Authorization clicking which you will see the Additional Authorization you created.

Add same level and just mention your
Authorization id=Custom
Name=Custom
Option=Full/Read/None
Forms id=*(Your Form ID) *
Ok
Now Go to Administration module
> system initialization
> Authorizations
>General authorizations
Now select user and set user authorization-------> Custom -
> No Atuorization

Pfcg Authorization for ois2

Hi friends,
              I want to give authorization for OIS2 transaction without directly giving it in the PFCG role assignment of transaction... so I searched for the roles for this t-code ois2 but there is no specific role for this, as this is done in the SPRO.
             Can u please help me, is there any other way so that I can give authorization for this transaction... This there any other way to assign a particular transaction which belongs to SPRO...

          I m not able to get the work done... I have created a project, and have assigned the project to a role as you helped me. But I am not able to make it....
          I like to tell u what I have done...
1. created a project in SPRO and saved it.
2. created a role in PFCG and assigned the customizing auth.
3.Generated the authorization profile with full authorization.
4.Assigned a single user to it.
            But the user is not able to access the OIS2 t-code/ or the path from the IMG...
I think I m missing some steps but not sure what is it.. can u please help me. Do I have to do any customizing in the project which I have created.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like the function to reseize the Font in an iBook is not functioning properly.
I recommend a few things here. First close all the apps that are running in the background:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

When you have done that, restart the phone, and try again.
If the issue persists, I would follow these steps from the article:

2. Check for app updates
You can setup apps to update automatically in Settings > iTunes & App Store, but make sure that your apps are up to date:

3. Install another app from the App Store
If none of your user-installed apps will launch, there could be an issue with Apple ID authorization. 4. Restart the app
If the issue affects only a single app, try closing just that app.

6. Reinstall the affected app
Remove the app from your device and reinstall it:
Tap and hold any app icon on the Home Screen until the icons start to wiggle and show a small "x" in the top-right corner of the app.
Tap the "x" in the corner of the app you want to delete.
Tap Delete to remove the app and all of its data from your device.
Press the Home button.
Go to the App Store.
Search for the app and then download it again.

Open the App Store app, go to the Featured pane, swipe to the bottom, tap the Apple ID and sign out. Tap again and sign in with the Apple ID of your choosing.

This has proved unsatisfactory to me so far. Lines are left in etc.

There are two basic menus for fonts - one from the main menu bar and one from the toolbar. You can also bring up the font manage dialog.
I don't recommend trying to hard to force an otherwise foreign font, as it inevitably needs to be usable/supported on iOS as well, and that can get tricky w/3rd party fonts, as an example, even with the expanded font support in the latest iBA.
If you need to discuss fonts more, I suggest starting a new thread....preferably with a slightly more brief title, thanks.
