AppBarButton icon "More" shows the dots (Content) aligned on top.

Question

Well, I don't know why I have always problems with the AppBar...
This time the weirdness is happening when using the "More" icon for my AppBarButton.
I attached a screenshot since is surely a better explanation of what is happening.
As you can see the three dots of the icon are show as they're aligned vertically on top.
Looking at the button style list, it shouldn't look this way.

Here's the code I'm using for the AppBar. I think it's a bug but maybe I've something wrong in my XAML I just can't see.

Note that the documentation you link applies only to Windows 8, not to Windows 8.1 or Windows Phone.
That said, there are known differences in the font used on Windows and on Windows Phone. I suspect the More icon here is raised so it can be used for the More on the right side of your appbar and display above the fold when the appbar is partially hidden.
If you want three dots centred you may need to include a PathIcon or BitmapIcon rather than using SymbolIcon, although you can check Segoe UI Symbol to see if there are other glyphs there that will work for you. U+22EF: Midline Horizontal Ellipsis may
