Append data to the End of an Excel file

How can I add new data (of a new aquisition) to an existing excel file without erasing old data? I'd like to add the new data aquisition under the last data aquisition. I have not the excel toolkit.
I add here two file, the block diagram (i'm new in labview world ) and what i see in excel when i run my VI. With the program I wrote, i can just save every aquisition in different excel file.

On the Write To Spreadsheet File function, there is a boolean input to append to file. Set that to TRUE.

Comparing an excel file to and xml file and appending data to the xml file

I have an xml file (mapsource) and an excel file. One of the columns in the excel file matches up with a node in the xml file. I want to be able to loop through both files and add a new node to the xml file where the one of the columns in the excel file matches a node in the xml file.
I can create a query object out of the excel dosument using the cfspreadsheet tag.
I'm able to use xmlparse to create a xml document object from the xml file.
What I would like to do is add col_3 from the excel spreadsheet as a new node when col_2 is equal to gpx.wpt.name.xmltext of the xml object.
Any help or direction would be very helpful!

The subscription will renew automatically (unless you have disabled that) and you will get an email approximately one month before renewal.

Automatically add a current date at the end of the comments

Hi,
I have a form on a table with 5 fields... on one the field I am asking my users to enter comments...
I am looking for a functionality to automatically add a current date at the end of the comments, only when they are updated or newly filled in...
Please advice how can I do it... I am anticipating some sort of a trigger on column (when the data is modified)...

Problem while exporting the data from a report to an excel file.

I have a problem while exporting the data from a report to an excel file.
The problem is that after exporting, the excel file seems to have some irrelevant characters....I am checking this using SOST transaction..

To download such characteres you need to adjust code page to be used during export. You can review SAP note 73606 to identify which code page is required for this language

Is there a way to prevent Robohelp WebHelp from appending characters to the end of the URL address for a TOC Entry?

I am running RoboHelp 10 on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64 bit OS.
WebHelp is appending characters to the end of the TOC entry's URL address. The characters "bc-n" where n is a number are being generated for all of the TOC Page Entries when I generate WebHelp output. We are exporting the HTML files for import into an application. The TOC Page Properties Link to: property does not contain the characters in RoboHelp.
We have standardized names defined for our application and the appended characters are not going to work in the application.

When I use the generated html output in IE10 Version 10.0.9200.16635 Update Versions: 10.0.7 (KB2846071) the characters show up in the URL when I hover the mouse over the TOC entry as shown in the screenshot below.

The two screenshots show that the Link to property does not have the characters "bc-7" but the URL address does.
Is there a setting or way to configure RoboHelp to prevent Robohelp WebHelp from generating and appending characters to the end of the URL address for TOC Entries?

I have never known Rh add any characters so I think something else is at play here. Please open one of the sample projects and see what happens there. Click Open on the RoboHelp Starter page and then click Samples in the ribbon on the left.

A SWF Tag of type 75 contains 10 bytes of unread data at the end of the tag at byte offset 1762

When building with Flash builder 4.7 I get two warnings I can't seem to track down.
Those are
"A SWF Tag of type 75 contains 10 bytes of unread data at the end of the tag at byte offset 1762" The other
"A SWF Tag of type 75 contains 5464 bytes of unread data at the end of the tag at byte offset 797163"
No file is pointed out or anything else to help.
Any ideas what to look for, why this is a warning, possible implications & what to do?

Appending Data to the MSWord Using java

Hi,
     I need to append data to the MSWord doc Using a java Program.The data contains both text and image.While appending data the size of the doc is increasing but the data is not Visible.
   I'm using Streams to read and write into the MSWord
doc.
   Can anyone solve this problem and also tell me is there any alternative ie any external jar files are required?

Can I append date to the file name using Bursting

I know that we can append date to the file using %y, %m and %d for
Email
FTP
WEBDAV
But is there any way of appending the date to the file name if I am bursting my file to a shared location.
I tried that %y, %m and %d but that doesn't work for bursting.

How do you write data to the first line of a file without overwriting the data which is already present?

You might be able to write the file into one of the Collection Lists that maintain order (like LinkedList, but there are others), add the first line, and then rewrite the file from the list. You might also find the Collections methods reverse and rotate could be useful if you add the data at the end of the list.
You could also create an array and fill the 2nd through last elements with the file lines, insert your data as the first element, then write the file from the array.
Ther are a number of variations on the above approaches.

I'm creating an Excel-file by writing data to an outputStream in tabbed format.
My problem is : How can I set the width of the columns of that Excel-file, not the default-size?

You can write a generic xls file containing a Macro to open and set the column widths of text or csv files. Your java program can then call this generic file to open your text files.
