Append Records Effectively

This statement work fine... copying a field :
insert /*+ APPEND PARALLEL(10) */ INTO TABLE1
select /*+ PARALLEL(10) */ COLUMN1 from TABLE2;
So the sql syntax is right....
But it throws in error on this:
insert /*+ APPEND PARALLEL(10) */ INTO JC
select /*+ PARALLEL(10) */ JOB_CODE from GSI.PCTCOMP_ACC_VW
It hangs for 10 to 15 minutes and then displays:

So eliminate the Insert and Append and Parallel from the equation and just run
select JOB_CODE from GSI.PCTCOMP_ACC_VW
It will probably fail ... seems like a view which likely references those PCTCOMP_PKG and PCTCOMP_DISC_PKG packages ... and one of them or both is/are invalid and unable to compile. Fix that first.

I think you have a while loop to hit the DB in your Process (As you said you have to fetch data from DB 10 times if 1000 rec are there)
First sopy your DB O/P to one var
and from second time append to previous data.(Otherwise you can directly use append from starting instead of copy and append)
When loop completes you can transform to File adapter Var.
Otherwise you can configure yourFileadapter such that it will aapend current records to previous records.
You can use 'Append= true' in your file adapter wsdl.
It will append previous records to current records in the same file.

How to append records in MSAccess through Java using JDBC:ODBC

I was able to retrieve records from MSAccess database through JAVA over the JDBC-ODBC bridge.
If I want to append records to a table (for eg. photo1 table containing photono., length, breadth, area as
columns) I could not able to do so through JAVA.
I am using JTable with the above fields. The user is displayed with the JTable and he has to enter
data inside the JTable and press a button titled "Append". Then the JAVA program should append
whatever the user has entered in the JTable as a single record inside the MSAccess database.
Can anyone help me please?

hi i too am having similar problem. i am able to create a table in ms access through java but when i insert values i get a msg that it has inserted the values but when i check the table by opening ms-access there are no values in the table.
the insert statement i am using is
" insert into tk1 values(3,'tarun')"
further i tried using the methods commit, setAutoCommit etc with the connection object. -NO GO.

Append records to infotype 4002

I need to append records to infotype 4002, I am using the HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA fm and it is not updating. I know you can't update records via PB40 but I'm doing this using abap.
Any help/ suggestion on whic function module will be able to do this

I can't use 'HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION' FM as it works well for PA infotypes, even if I set tclas to 'B' it gives a short dump.

whenever u change the condition record it will fall under the validility date, ie.,
example:
Condition record for cond type PR00 is
valid from 01/05/2007 to 31/99/9999 is Rs.1000
but suddenly when u change prices on 01/10/2007 then system will display has below
vaild from 01/05/2007 to 31/09/2007 is Rs.1000
vaild from 01/10/2007 to 31/99/999 is Rs.1500
hence u take all the sale orders & billing document which are created from 01/10/2007, this will slove ur purpose

I am working on a report using tables vbrp vbrk glpca & konv to fetch the amount of billing document based on condition type (kschl)
Below is my query & records are fetching fine. But now I need to append my final display table.
Question 1.... which table I should loop into & which tables should be read ?
Question 2.... I want 4 coulumn in my alv to display amount from konv based on condition type (VPRS, ZK03,Z004, EK02)
EX:   vbeln          refdocnr         fkdat    ............     VPRS-KBETR    ZK03-KBETR    Z004-KBETR    EK02-KBETR

I have to fetch records from vbrp & pass it in konv to get the konv-kbetr.
My condition would be :

 In Second Loop U have used into Corresponding fields,So After a loop completion Ur IT_konv will have only Single Record,Every Time It Gets Refreshed , U may Use Appending Table instead of Corresponding.
 Also U are using Same Loop Two times + Fetching Records from Konv Multiple Times, It Will be time consuming.
Inplace of loop FOR SELECTION RECORDS FROM KONV
 Simply Use Select Statement as

Is there any sql command that can append some or all records from one table to another table?
Or it has to use cursor to select data then insert into the distination table?

Can you explain why you are looking for another way? What's wrong with using an INSERT INTO ... SELECT ... FROM? This is certainly the most straightforward method.

Ref Cursor - How to append records into ref cursor?

Is it possible to append ref cursor?
Iam having a procedure which accepts 1 string as input
parameter. That string will have list of ID delimited by comma.
I want to extract & match every ID with some tables.
My problem is for first ID i would get 10 records
and for 2nd ID i 'l get other 20 records. But while returning
i need to send the same(10 + 20 records) as ref cursor(OUT parameter).
But in below given code i could send only last 20 records. first
10 records are not append/updated into ref cursor.
How to append 2nd 20 records with 1st 10 records? so that i can
send all the 30 records.

How to append recorded files.

Two questions.
I am using adobe dvrcast to record my live streams. the problem I am having is when I stop the encode during a live stream, a new file is not created, the existing stream is written over. How can I preventive this from occuring.
Is there a way to have all vod files that are in one folder to roll over to the next file during play back.

Thanks for the quick response. I am using FMLE 3 and FMS 3.5. I have changed the code per your suggestion. However, the file still does not append when i press the stop button in FMLE. After pressing stop, when I press start button in FMLE again, the file size starts at zero.

Audigy 2zs notebook - Can hear but NOT record effect of Graphic Equalizer

Dear people,
Audigy 2zs notebook card, using with sonar-le to record (and also with Audacity).
I can record all I play with my soft synths, and mic voice, perfectly. Various tracks simultneously.
Playback is also great.
I use sonar-le in Asio 2-Mode, and MME and all works good.
HOWEVER, I bring up the Creative equalizer, and I enable it, it makes a NOTORIOUS difference.. I can enable it while I am recording, before, or after.
So I record a track as usual, but I enable the equalizer, and I am FINDING-OUT that I can not seem to be able to RECORD the effect of the creative EQUALIZER!
Even though I can hear it in and out, big difference, the track recorded wave continues to record as if it does not see the equalizer at all.
I have tried all available inputs and many many things, but I just can not get the eq. effects to RECORD.
I have two speakers connected to the dongle that attaches to the notebook card... I have also tried using headphones, directly connected to card, and all I can think. I tried also mme mode.
I also tried audacity and same. Can't get the recording to be like what I hear with the headphones.
Why would this be? How can I solve the problem?

Whoops!? That sequencer/recording application "Cubasis VST 4" comes packaged with Audigy 2ZS Platinum Pro but not with the Notebook soundcard. A similar product Cubasis LE comes with X-Fi Elite Pro.
I haven't seen any details of the internal layout/architecture of the sound card, but I don't think that would help you in terms of some new configurations for recording.
In terms of recording capability, since there is only one input port with the NOtebook card, you are of course fairly limited in terms of connectivity, unless you have an external mixer (if you are talking about recording two things at the same time).
However, the audio quality of the Notebook card is certainly good enough to record very good quality audio with S/N, THD etc. My opinion is that people spend way too much time fussing about specs, noise etc. where in reality, most external transducers (mics, guitars etc.) always limit the recorded quality (unless you have really good professional recording gear and you have a lot of experience.
I've heard outstanding quality recorded music made on recording gear with much poorer specs than the Notebook card.
Best thing with your Notebook card is do what you've been doing. Use it and experiment and concentrate on the music generation itself.

I gather that the application may not be downloadable, specially if it is third-party. I do have the Synth effect, though that I can plug into Sonar.. I like the hardware enabled effects, though, specially since my music playing/recording system is a little complex.
Yes, I do have external hardware mixers, and though there is only the mic/line input, that's not too bad since this card has MANY internal inputs and outputs that I DO USE. All? of my instruments and music is now software based..Only the Mic is external. That's why the hardware synth of the 2zs laptop is so attracti've.. It does not bear on cpu or data... That's why I asked about architecture info orient myself.
Also, I may be wrong, but I read that many of the hardware capabilities of the 2zs notebook card are no longer there on the newer cards... That effects and other things are now mostly software based? Is that so?...Can I use two cards on the laptop, the 2 zs and the express slot one simultneously and have more inputs/outputs?
I am still interested in all practical possibilities, and I do like the Creative soundcards.
The great thig is that you told me that the Eq can not be recorded, so that's very important to me.. I can still record it, though out into a second laptop via the headphone jack. But I will try the VST's I have here first and see how they feel and sound.
It really amazes me, though, that I can hear the effect, but there's no way to record it.

Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Proffesional?? No recording / effect for karaoke

I have been running for over ? months windows Vista? 32Bit?I have a Audigy 2 ZS platinum Pro?Now I have no recording option and can't change Karaoke Effects??This is realy bad. Why would i keep buying Creative products if i can't even Enjoy the 300$ + I invested in my card.
This is my second Platinum Pro version i buy in the past couple years. My next upgrade was the New FX platinum Pro version? But i am thinking its not worth it anymore.
?Why a older version of Beta drivers I had the Karaoke effect tab in the EAX tab.Now I only have enviremental Effect that goes over my Music.
I only want the Mic effect.
And I would like to be able to record? but doesnt seem to have that option either.
So why am i not using my Onboard Asus sound card instead? and selling this and never looking back creatives way??I will not be upgrading Anytime soon thats for sure.
the release date for vista has been out for a couple days and no Program / Driver Upgrade? Just crapy beta drivers that only gives sound and thats about it.
I want my Proffesional version back.
Or my not buy a 50$ card instead from creative and have the same result.

Recording : effects

I am having problems with recording . After I combine the tracks and then convert them into MP3, I get the mix of the tracks WITHOUT the reverb , delay and other effects that were adjusted before the recording . Would appreciate if anyone can give me any feedback on how to solve this issue .

I will record a bass line(one region) using one effect.
Then I will record a guitar riff or lead(region two) using a different effect.
I will merge the two regions, LE8 will create a WAV file, and when the WAV file is listen to using the QuickTime Player the merge is good, but there are no effects for either bass or guitar it just resets them to clean.
