Appending command in java script

I was trying it but its not working for me ..
i have a command that gives out the command value which than passes to XML to map the particular controller to call.
looks like this ...
parent.data.document.UnifiedSysUserDetailDataForm.cmd.value;
but the problem is when i am trying to make it more flexible by getting value of "cmd" from array in script its not working out.
I have tried this.
try1 = parent.data.document.UnifiedSysUserDetailDataForm.cmd.value;
for(i = 0; i < test.length;i++)
var test1 = parent.data.document.UnifiedSysUserDetailDataForm ;
var try2 = test1. +test[i]+ .value;
alert(try1+ "==" +try2 );
I want the value of try1 and try2 should be the same. But its printing value of try2 as "undefined"
can you suggest me some way i can get value.

I just downloaded and instaled firefox 4. Now, everytime I institute a command I get a po[p-up from Java script that tells me to uninstal set. I cannot go on untin I press ok and then I am good for one more command and it starts with the pop-up again.

I'm not even sure if this is an extension or plug-in and all I can tell you is what I have already stated. I can only make one command at a time and after each one I get a pop-up from Java script that says uninstal set. I must depress ok to move on, but only for one more command and it starts over again. This also happened when I tried to instal firefox 4 a couple months ago and I deleted the program and went back to an earlier version.

Hello forum,
I'm trying to run a java script from the command line on
windows but I always get the "Failed to open document" alert.
I typed the following in the run command line:
"flash.exe" C:\Documents and Settings\Hasan.Atieh\My
Documents\science\java scripts\testing jsfl\get_files_mx2004.jsfl
now I copied and pasted the path of my java script file from
the windows explorer address bar so I'm sure that the java script
file exists in the specified path.
Any thoughts why am I getting the message!!

:oops: never mind... issue resolved. I didn't quote the java
script file path but thats because the help documents on flash
didn't say that.

Hy,I am having problems when trying to execute a command for konsole from java.

this is what I am trying to do : by pressing a button
in a JFrame I want to start Snort (the exact command
is snort -c /etc/snort/snort.conf )
What I want is the following: I press that button
and the Konsole in Linux opens and that command to
be executed I would just use the Process.getInputStream() method to retrieve what Snort said and display that in a JTextArea or something... why bother launching it in a terminal?
I don't know if Snort is a daemon or what... if it's a daemon, you're not going to get much output from it... it'll fork itself into the background and exit.
If it isn't a daemon, then you can either just redirect the output to a file, a la:
konsole snort /etc/snort/snort.conf > /tmp/snort.outand do a "tail" sort of monitoring on the file. You could also just keep that process up in a different thread, and use a timer to periodically update the output into a JTextArea (this would also allow you to be notified when the process ended). Finally, you could wrap your command in a script and execute it that way.

How to read the value of Inputfield in WAD in JAVA script?

In my script control function , I want to read the value entered in the input field using java script. How do I achieve it?

Hi,
To do this, first you may want to view the HTML source of the report. So, when you have the report launched with the input field, right click and select View Source. Usually it is under a <span> tag with id something like sapbi_snippet_YOURWEBITEMNAME. Most useful commands here are document.getElementById and document.getElementsByTagName.
You can also access the input web item value using standard sap command SET_SELECTION_STATE_BY_BINDING. Take a look at the documentation on this.

What would be better would be to use multiple versions / profiles at the same time, which is certainly beyond average users, particularly when Mozilla has historically and purposely made such things difficult. Java script is not working while coming back to the page.

I am working in jdev 11.1.1.3.0 with ADF BC.
I am callling javascript in my jsff, while this javascrip is invoking file download method. this java script i am inovking from another button action, because in some case i need to invoke popup and some case i need to invoke file download for this i have taken one button in that button i am invoking these 2 based on some condition. everything is working fine except if i move another jsff and come back to this jsff then the file download is not happening.
can any one tell me what is the issue here.

So it's the "erks.addScript(context, "customHandler();");" may not work properly the next time coming back from another jsff.
And very likely the statement of: var exportCmd = AdfPage.PAGE.findComponentByAbsoluteId("pt1:pt_region0:1:cb1") in your javascript command gave you error. Are you sure that "pt1:pt_resion0:1:cb1" is valid all the time no matter how the page is rendered?

I am trying to fetch properties of all lists of "Survey Type" from my site collection in SharePoint 2013 using script editor web part. I am able to fetch properties of one list by mentioning its name explicitly in code but not all survey
list.
My task is to display Survey name , description ,Time created and URLs of all survey lists using java script in script editor web part.
And let me know , if there is any other OOB feature of SharePoint 2013 to achieve the same.

How to pass values to variables in WAD 7.0 using java script

Hi.,
My requirement is based on WAD 7.0.
The sales value has to displayed in WAD using graph with various chart types.
I have created variables for plant and material group in a query.
I have created drop down box for plant with all plants in it, check box for material group and a Submit button in WAD in FORM tag of HTML coding.
Once all the values are set in drop down box, checkbox and if the user clicks on submit button, the values has to captured by the variables for which I have created and the graph has to be aligned to the new values in variables.
Kindly help me how to use java script to get the values from FORM and pass it to variables.

Hi Selva,
You do not need to use Javascript for this. Instead you can achieve this by using API Commands in WAD 7.0.
Please configure Action on the ButtonGroup webitem to use 'Commands'.
->Choose Command 'Set Variables Values / SET_VARIABLES_STATE' under Commands for Web Templates
->Set Display Variable Screen setting to OFF
->Choose Query Variable for Plant, Select Variable Type as 'Binding Type', Binding Type as 'Data Provider Selection', Data Provider as the one you have assigned to the Dropdown webitem, Characteristic as 0PLANT or as that assigned to the Dropdown webitem
->Repeat above steps for Query Variable Material Group
Now when you make a selection from the Dropdown webitems, the Chart output will change accordingly. Let me know if this helps.

Error in Adobe Java Script

Hi,
I am facing one issue while working in Adobe forms. My requriement is as follows.
Two Drop down lists are there. Say Z1 and Z2. Z1 will contain three values.( A1, A2, A3).
Assume for A1, the corresponding values in Z2 are (1,2,3,4,5,6,8,10).
Assume for A2, the corresponding values in Z2 are (1,2).
Assume for A3, the corresponding values in Z2 are (4).
By Default, A1 will appear in the Drop Down list Z1 and the corresponding values will be loaded in the Drop Down list Z2.
Now, the issue is that if we select 5 in Z2, and then if we go and select A3 in Drop down list Z1, then this 5 is getting appended in the dropdown list Z2 with 4 and displaying as (4,5).
But as per the selection, it should display only 4. This is happening in the cases only when the selected number in Z2 is not available in the current list of the selection from Z1. That is searching for unique entry.
Please suggest how to clear the memory in adobe java script, before the next value selected from the drop down list Z1.

Problem to include java script file in servlet

I couldnt use any functions included in java servlet file using servlet. I made a test in jsp and it work fine but in servlet not.
Here my code

or
out.println("<script language=\"javascript\" src=\"c:/path/file.js\">");
Although was no error but using both didnt let me use any function inside the java script file. As I said using the same command in JSP works fine.
How I can include the file.js correctly ?

Keep getting java script errors in DW CS3

I have been using Dreamweaver CS3 and had not had problems up to last month or so. Now I keep getting Java errors and java script errors whenever i try to put a file to my site or even on some task boxes that have undefined in the command box instead of the normal command. I am wondering if downloading product again could help but i worry about licensing problem. It seems like there is no support for CS3 Dreamweaver.
I resent the fact i may have to upgrade to Dreamweaver CS5. IF I do can I just upgrade Dreamweaver and not the other programs as part of the web design suite? My last upgrade was the CS3 web design suite.

Thanks for the suggestion, I followed the links and instructions and still have same problem. Very frustrating as I cannot get any phone support, actually i was told Dreamweaver CS3 is not being supported anymore, and I was directed to this forum.
Kind of makes me not like Adobe and I am going to search for another web building program. Once I calm down I may consider just upgrading to CS 5 Dreamweaver. Do I have to upgrade the entire Web Design suite or can I just upgrade Dreamweaver?
Another option is to try and reinstall but I worry I can run into licensing problems (I think I ran into this before as destop and laptop crashed and had to reinstall).

Documents in library went from English to Java Script

The documents in my libraries was all in English,
This changed from English into Java Script, Java Script Run Errors, and left some documents in English.
I'd like my library/document file back in alphabetized English only

I understand that your files have changed to java script.
Open up command prompt and run the following command SFC /scannow.
This will scan the system files and correct any errors that it can.
Here is a link to command prompt.
When you go to open command prompt, right click and run as administrator.
If it has not been to long since the problem started, you can run a system restore.
This will take the system back to when everything was working correctly without affecting your personal files.
Here is a link on how to do a restore.
Let me know how everything goes.
