Latest and greatest o/s update is flawed. Seems like we have taken a page out of the microsoft play book...hurry up and release and then we will fix as users complain....unfortunately this was not a fix, and now it is broken.THIS WAS ONE OF MY MAIN REASONS FOR DITCHING WINDOWS! Come on people I need to go back to plain old 10.8.0 so my system works again. As to the HP printers, did a search and found new driver software, downloaded, installed and now the situation is worse. Tried to print 1 page of a report and got multiple pages of a single line of hyraglyphics!

The P1606 I affraid currently not supported on Mountain Lion using a USB connection and therefore the issue you are facing, An updated software should become available during Fall 2012:

Although the printer worked under 10.8.1 I assume it kept using the Lion software you had prior upgrading the OS, which more likely got somehow affected by the latest OS update.
However as the P1606 support AirPrint you can still print by connecting the printer to the network using an ethernet cable.
Make sure to install the latest firmware to assure the device is AirPrint enabled:

Once the printer is up-to-date and connected to the network add the printer under Print & Scan by selecting the printer listed as Bonjour kind and it should work.

IPod Touch dead...very sad!

My 13 month old iPod Touch has refused to Restore with firstly an Unknown Error #6 and then an Unknown Error #14. I have tried all the suggested fixes with no luck so sent it off to a repair company who have advised that it needs a new logic board and is not economical to repair. Very sad to see such a beautiful thing rendered useless!!!
I post this for the benefit of others who might be thinking about buying Apple Care on their iPod...I wish I had of bought it!!

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

You are not speaking to Apple here. So none of us can "fix it."
TRy try quitting the Photos app followed by a reset of the ipad. To quit an app double click the Home button to reveal the row of recently used apps. Flick up on the page preview and it will fly away and disappear. That quits the app. Then Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

On your Mac, try to access your gmail account. There should be a link you click for "Forgot My Password". Click it and try to retrieve your password.

I don't understand the ONE AT A TIME lament, as it's pretty easy to email more than one at a time. Have you tried to and been unable or didn't know that you could?
As for no one receiving, well .... first, review how you're trying to do it and, as a check, email some to yourself. That will be a good first check.

Tried again as you suggested - no luck. Ref sequence below
A. Pressed menu & down to reset Apple TV
B after reset & restart pressed menu & up buttons to change resolution. After pressing both buttons for 6 sec, LED starts flashing - released both buttons. TV screen blank. After 20 to 30 sec horizontal lines came on screen remained for 20 sec then screen again went blank. Waited for couple minutes. LED still flashing - pressed Menu button for 2/3 sec - flashing stopped & LED glows continuously. Screen blank
C. Reset the unit again by pressing menu & down. When it restarted - while LED was still flashing, got orange color screen with Apple logo in the middle. This screen remained till LED stopped flashing & then screen went blank

Apple TV 2 has reached the end of it's iOS updates. there really won't be any more and the focus will be mainly on the Apple TV 3.
You can sell the ATV2 for a few hundred dollars on eBay because the ATV2 is special in a way that I can't mention here. Use the money to buy an ATV3.
I am in no hurry to do so myself and will continue using my ATV2 for some time.

I can not confirm this kind of experience.
Even here in Germany, where articles are sold after the U.S. market is supplied, I had no problem buying a Lightning cable yesterday.
There were about 20 to 30 cables available in the customer area alone, not to mention what they perhaps had in their storage.
So why not make a short trip to Munich, Bavaria, visit the Octoberfest and buy a Lightning cable.
What makes me much more angry is that I was told there is no dock planed for the iPhone 5.

We have the correct CVV2, Expiration Date and Billing address, but you keeps declining us. Please fix this problem for me. The issuing bank for this card is Techcombank, one of the largest banks in Vietnam. According to the bank, the transaction is processed in the US. This is a legitimate Visa card.
Please let me know as soon as possible. Apple does a disservice to its brand name by declining legitimate Visa account holders from using the cards in Vietnam.

Just as a warning, your credit card number has been sent in the clear to probably thousands of people, including anyone who subscribes to e-mail alerts to this forum. That's very, very bad. The credit card should be considered compromised at this point, and you should cancel it immediately, if you haven't done so already.

Hi to all! Today is a very sad day for me.
All my life I lived in a country were all the computer related hardware is always more expensive than in the countries were they come from.
Today I heard that they are trying to sell the Iphone for nearly 4 times the original price and its very sad. I was so happy to hear Steven talk about the new price that i couldn't understand how they can sell a 200 dollars phone for 2000 pesos (1 dollar = 3 pesos). The most funny part is that as most countries like Argentina most of the people cant afford this price since we are a 3rd world. So poor 3rd world countries have to pay more expensive prices than 1st world countries. I don`t understand the thinking. The only solution is to get the phones in the US and later use them here in Argentina. Since who in his sane mind will pay 4 times the price of a phone when he can get 4 of them for the same price he gets them in Argentina? Can somebody explain this to me? I can imagine that there are some travel cost and some country issues, but 4 times the price?
